After looking at two I still didn't know how much hot sake was or the sizes offered and if they had other kinds -- absolutely no transparency on price when it's not on a menu anywhere. They have Lucky Buddha bottles all over the place but no idea how much those were, either. Mixers? I see bottles but no prices cause nothin is listed in any drink menus. So weird. The pho is very good and other meals have always been. I think it's on the pricier side here for everything. It gets so expensive to go out when a modest meal/drink set ya back $50. It's just pho! And a basic adult drink like super cheap house sake or tap beer. But anywho, this is our world now. Just going out less & less than I used to! They don't have any deals like happy hour. All of the food was so good, we got the banh mi with five spice fries which were spicy and unique, Asian buffalo wings were crispy and the sauce was amazing but why do I just need ranch I know it's a Vietnamese restaurant I'm sorry....., pork egg roll honestly some of the best I've ever had they were really thin and crispy, crab cheese wontons, two pork dumplings and a coke and it all came out to $40 during happy hour which is such a good deal! I ordered the the vermicelli combination bowl but skipped the shrimp since I'm allergic. They do not skimp on the beef and chicken, which was excellent. In fact, the whole bowl was very delicious. The noodles were nice and soft and the lettuce accompaniment added to the bowl itself. We also ordered chicken and veggie dumplings which were excellent as well. Our group of 4 walked over to Pho & Bar after being quoted a 1 hour wait at Noodles by Nina. I still wanted noodle soup and figured a half empty restaurant was a quicker resolution, however I'm now fairly certain we would have gotten our food faster even with the 1 hour wait at our original restaurant choice. Service was incredibly slow for how empty the restaurant was. After more than 30 minutes of waiting and no sign of our server, another server finally came to check on us and realized none of our order tickets made it to the kitchen. This could have easily been recognized by the original server had he even showed up to check on us during this time. I wish I could say the food was worth the wait. The pork egg rolls we got had just 1 piece of lettuce and barely pickled veggies to accompany it. I was confused that my house pho with beef short rib came with the meat on the side, which was sadly very cold and chewy. The broth itself was fine, but the chili oil pooled so much and was too greasy to be palatable. Our server did at least remove the apps from our bill as an apology for the service and I did at least find the food edible. For a $20 bowl of pho though I am still left feeling offended and full of regret that I didn't just wait it out for Noodles by Nina. Came here for a solo lunch mid week in September. They weren't too busy when I walked in and had the choice of sitting anywhere. I selected to sit inside at the booth. Our go to Viet spot in/near downtown. Their house special pho is like a combination of bun bo hue plus pho broth! We get this every time. The prices are great as well as you'd expect a place like this to cater to higher income individuals given the location and demographics. It's a hip, trendy, and modern looking restaurant. Went to this joint between visiting the museum of science and nature and the Denver zoo. Yummy! I've been wanting to try this place as it's only a mile away from our house. I was first blown away by this tote bag that is reusable. What a beauty! My hubby is sick so wanted to order him some comfort food. This place did not disappoint! He is loving the broth and the rare steak pho. I got the grilled chicken pho, what a burst of flavors in my mouth. It also is very filling, I can normally eat my pho in one setting but with this one, I have left overs and also more broth. I've been wanting to come here for a while, but it's always busy! I finally met up with friends here one Saturday afternoon for lunch, and we all had to park several blocks away. Just be prepared to wait at least an hour. Service was fast, but it's a little chaotic. We were seated at the bar, and I loved the fusion between Asian restaurant and sports bar vibes. I ordered the Combination House Pho which was DELICIOUS! Plenty of noodles and meat, and the thought of the broth makes my mouth water. What a great spot that I can add to my list before I have a concert at the nearby venues (Fillmore and Ogden). This is a more Vietnamese fusion serving great rolls and drinks! Atmosphere is definitely more upscale and hip, you won't expect authentic pho (which I recommend actually going to more authentic places like Pho Saigon, or any of the great hole in the wall places on Federal). House Pho is almost like a Bun Bo Hue but meant for people are not used to spices and the other offerings you typically get. Broth is fairly light, I had to add a decent amount of hoisin and Sriracha to bring up the flavor profile. It's cheap but compared to other places in Denver, you get less here. Toppings are in the light side. The beef pho rolls were a hit! The fish sauce based sauce was amazing and all of the flavors blended well. It was definitely a flavor bomb! Crunch garlic and shallot bits as well as fresh herbs really elevate this dish. You won't expect the best Vietnamese food here, but for a fusion it does it good. I've been wanting to come and try the pho roll since it is the closest thing to a dim sum roll (Cantonese style rice crepe with fillings such as shrimp, beef, etc.) not often can you find a rice noodle sheet that is white and not translucent, it makes for a different texture. It's fun to eat and the filling was tasty. With the signature Vietnamese toppings such as peanuts and fried shallots which added a much welcomed crunch. The house pho had me sniffling! It was spicy for my standard (of course since I'm pretty weak in that department, lol) but I couldn't stop eating it! That tells me I enjoyed it very much. Great modern Vietnamese restaurant. I came with my partner for a date night and we split the pork egg rolls and the bowl of House Pho with brisket. I really appreciated that they split the bowl up into 2 smaller bowls for us to share. The House Pho tasted like a fusion of pho and bun bo hue to me, which is another traditional Viet noodle soup. Pho & Bar is one of my go-to's with it being a close walk from me. It's a modern Vietnamese restaurant with great cocktails. It's small so it fills up fast, but I haven't had to wait long for a table. To start, the buffalo wings are very good, perfectly tangy with a kick. The chicken is cooked well with a slight crunch to them. Absolutely love their house pho. It is basically a Bun Bo Hue broth with pho noodles and toppings. This means it's spicy with a touch of lemongrass. It is perfectly savory and healing. Their traditional is also a good broth. Perfect for a lazy day or a day where you might need a hangover cure. And if you need hair of the dog, they have great cocktails. My all-time favorite is the Lychee Mule. So delicious and refreshing. If you're up for a challenge, they have the mega mule which can be shared with 3 other people or 2 if you're feeling ambitious. Another good one is the spicy thai bloody mary which was seasonal so isn't available any more. Pho & Bar has some of the best pho in the Denver Metro area, and I can't recommend them enough. read more

They were underfilled and weren't very flavorful. The dipping sauce was good! The fries were also pretty good, I enjoyed the aioli served with them! I got the spicy pho broth with the combo meat. The house pho with grilled shrimp is by far my favorite entree at this restaurant. This last time around, I tried the pho roll and it was very tasty. Looks like a fun atmosphere to dine at. Unfortunately, we had other plans so we took our spicy Pho to go. It had very fresh veggies, the raw meat was separated from the rest and made it easy to add to the hot broth when ready to eat it without it getting over cooked. The broth was so tasty and I loved the mild spice level that was added above and beyond normal Pho broth. We also had spring rolls that were both tasty and extra large size because they were stuffed with extra veggies that added a fresh spin on spring rolls. The bean sauce to dip it into a very sweet but flavorful. I'll be ordering all of this next time we visit and hopefully taking advantage of the dinning al fresco on the comfortable looking patio. I think they should've named it differently. The fish sauce was really strong. The nuoc mam was on the very sweet side. The Vietnamese coffee (aka cafe su da) was very disappointing. The coffee was diluted and didn't taste like coffee. There was only a small hint of condense milk so please SKIP this if you can. The traditional pho felt lacking. It was also really sweet and not what pho is usually supposed to be. Lacks spices and pho flavor (like the star anise, cinnamon and rock sugar). This is becoming one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants for a simple reason, you can get a decent pho just about anywhere, but you can only get a delicious pho accompanied with amazing service and atmosphere at a few select places. This being one of those! The food here is delicious with eye candy presentation, especially the rice plates. I love how the menu is very condensed with only the usually Vietnamese suspects and not with several dozen pho choices like a typical Vietnamese restaurant. I've had most dishes from their menu, and would not deter anyone from anything, all around delicious and well seasoned choices. As far as service, it is consistently above par. A perfect example of their phenomenal service is how they boxed my leftover pho; perfectly packaged for accident free transport with the noodles and broth in separate containers. First time here and I really enjoyed the late evening outdoor seating. It was intimate and cozy with the outdoor heaters. You know the Pho is about to be good when the whole place smell like broth. I was a bit confused why the veggie plates was so small for essentially a pot sized pho bowl. Because it looks like the veggie came in one tiny branch. Most other Pho restaurants offer alot of veggies because its a big part of Pho. I appreciate the way the meatballs was in slices opposed to one meatball that can get really boring.
