    Mushroom Hummus

WOW!!!!! I went to Leven. I died and saw the other side. I ran around to all the people chilling in the afterlife and told them they must reincarnate if only to eat at Leven! Service was very friendly and, though very busy, each server interacted with you with an authority over the menu and a genuine care that you were there. Of note: Pickled mushroom hummus. Just get it. House made ginger, apple cider vinegar drink. 15/10 drink it! Turkey Sandwich. The bread was the exactly soft and crusty and moist and of the heavens.

Leven deli was absolutely everything I wanted it to be. I was starving after a long flight to Denver and immediately jumped on yelp to see what I could eat. Leven was right at the top of the list, so I headed over and was greeted by a beautiful restaurant and a very lively lunch crowd. Everyone seemed pleased with their food and were so happy to be there. I was helped immediately and directed to the counter to order. They provided great recommendations and were helpful with my order! While waiting for my order, I helped myself to samples they were giving out of their AMAZING whipped feta and house made biscuits. For lunch, I got the turkey club (10/10 sooo good) and a side of the macaroni salad (also 10/10!) and a huge snickerdoodle cookie. I wish we had a place like this where I live because I would be going all the time!

Oh WOW so good everything. Yummy latte yummy jalapeno biscuit good sausage healthy helping of egg had a good weight to it, quite dense in a fantastic way. The spice level of the biscuit is tasteful, not too overwhelming but you also can't miss it. I subbed the American cheese for cheddar, no complaints thereThere are many options for seating, and I was happy to score a spot outside. Food came out super fast as well

Open faced breakfast sandwich on sourdough

Everything here is super clean and executed well. The menu to the decor flows with a slight step back in time and the music is a little upbeat. It's a great vibe. It's alive with healthy topiary in the dining area and the smell of yeasty breads baking in the back. The breakfast menu is simple and non pretentious. There's a little something everyone can enjoy. I got a sandwich on sourdough and ordered it open faced. It was so much food that it made 2 sandwiches for me. I love the sourdough. The breakfast plate is a classic and they serve their bread with a healthy helping of jam. The view is nice and it's good people watching. Perfect place to stop if you're doing a museum day in Cap Hill.

Finally!! After enjoying Leven at so many Yelp events, and seeing their local and national rankings consistently so high, I finally had the pleasure of eating here. Packed, even on a rando weekday. Expect people. Lots of people. I ordered the Ruben and lamb kabobs. Also, a loaf of rye to go. You're looking at $85 + for two people, but the quality is well worth it. Do it!!!!

    Pastrami Reuben Sandwich

This place has a lotttttt of hype behind it. I won't say it disappointed, I just had really high expectations. Disclaimer, this was the first time I had a Reuben pastrami sooo hang in with my review. I think I just don't really like that type of sandwich, if ya know what I mean. That being said, portions were huge, had loads of meat on it and genuinely had a lot of taste. We split a grilled cheese (I forget the name) and it was AMAZING. I think there was like chive cream cheese on it? Sooooo good. 1000% recommend getting this one and splitting it for the table The bread was incredible! I really want to give this place another try and get something I'm more familiar with!

    Pastrami Reuben Sandwich

Fire sandwich spot. We're visiting from California for new years and stumbled upon this place on Yelp since it was walkable from our hotel. We arrived around 12:30pm and there was a line out the door until 2pm, so definitely prepare for a wait. They have a good amount of indoor seating but it was so busy that we had no choice, but to sit outside. Luckily, it wasn't too cold. You order at the counter and the register workers puts a description of you on your receipt so that your waiter can find you. I got labeled big white scarf :D. We got the classic Reuben pastrami sandwich and the mushroom barley soup. Both were very flavorful and hearty, but I recommend the going the sandwich route if you have to pick one. Later found out this place made Yelp 100 2026, so happy we got to check that one off :)

    The Rachel- that bread though
    Bri M.

Nothing I love more than a good turkey sandwich. I was craving a Rachel. Not just any Rachel- but a solid east coast deli Rachel. the bread needed to be perfect, same with the slaw (shit slaw will ruin it!) and I needed the turkey to be thinly sliced- I'm really grossed out by thick cut deli meats- lol. Let me tell you- they were first of all, quick! Shoutout to their delivery service (maybe DoorDash? I used Toast). Unfortunately I cannot speak to the ambiance, but it must be good because you don't have sandwiches this delicious just anywhere! I'll be back!

    Beet Rueben
    Andi P.

5 Stars for a smoked beet Rueben and white beans that are worth the wait! Yes, there will likely be a line at this deli and there's a reason- it lands on local Top Eats lists (like topping Yelp's 2025 Top Places to Eat in Denver) and has earned their reputation. The line moves quickly as you order at the counter. From there you grab your table number (for when your order's ready) and start the search for a spot. The gal at the register told us they could help us find a table if we had trouble, but we got lucky and didn't have to look for long! And then came the food. We got the beet Rueben (vegetarian) which was definitely enough for two of us to share. I also spotted a giant bean salad and am so glad I made the impromptu purchase! Both dishes have lived in my mind and daydreams for weeks since leaving Denver. It's right by a bunch of great museums, so this is a perfect spot after enjoying some art in downtown!

One of my favorite stops while in Denver . I went early for breakfast and enjoyed the jalapeño honey breakfast sandwich (special) and went back the next day for the apple cinnamon toast . Both were delicious !!!!'

Seating is self served but there were several options for seating on a Monday morning. We waited for lunch to try the sandwiches and they did not disappoint! Although a steep price for sandwiches, it was pretty tasty and flavorful. I do wish the chips weren't extra and the other sides were okay. Additionally, the pickle slices were not very pickle-y coming from someone who loves pickles. It tasted more on the end of cucumbers.

Saw so many videos about Leven having good sandwiches and they all hold true! Went in on Sunday afternoon for a bite after a long walk at the park - we sat outdoors with our pooch and got the pastrami and the Italian! This place did not disappoint. We were famished and the sandwiches hit the right spot! Highly recommend if you're in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood and want a high quality sandwich - try this place out! My dog was happy too - he got many pets from the servers out here.

    Janelle Z.

A bit on the pricey side for what I expected, but definitely worth it. They offer a great selection of sandwiches and baked goods- don't skip the tahini brownie. The outdoor seating area is also a great spot to enjoy your meal on a nice day.

I'd go back if a friend really wanted to go and we could sit at the bar, otherwise I was unimpressed with my experience there. 1. The decor/vibes are elegant and classy, but the staff aggressively ask for IDs at the door like bouncers instead of just asking at the time of ordering like a nice bar. Also the paper towels in the bathroom are the cheapest I've ever seen, not matching the facade of the place. They also make you pour your own water, just not elevated service considering the elevated appearance of the place. 2. Someone in my group called ahead the previous week to ask about a reservation accommodating 7 people since they only have reservations for up to 6 available online. When other people in the group arrived, the hostess/waitress was very resistant to us explaining our phone reservation and made us stand there at the front door to discuss instead of just letting us sit in the very empty seating area. After a few minutes of this, they finally let us sit in the wide open area for "an hour" until their actual reservation 1:45 after our arrival. The seating areas were small, so it makes sense they don't offer reservations for 7+, but then their employee shouldn't have told us on the phone that it'd be okay. 3. We watched them turn away a group with a silent infant because it wasn't 21, which just seemed odd. At the end they did bring our group cute cava shots, but I don't feel like that made up for the unwelcoming attitude of the staff.

Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. Everything is perfection from the delicious food, the outstanding service, and the beautiful decor. I know this sounds like hyperbole but dining here was an experience I'll never forget. Let's start with the food. Everything was perfection. Our favorite was the aguachile de erizo (scallops and uni). The Santa Barbara uni is to die for. I'm not even a fan of uni nor scallops but the dish was so good especially with the aguachile. Do not skip that dish especially if you like a little bit of spicy. The Tostada del Toro was next up. This is the dish that everyone gets here and for good reason. First off, look at all those chives. The tostada shell was amazing with a nice charred taste to it and the aged toro (aged 3-6 days) was so flavorful and melted in the mouth. The burrata con huitlacoche was the most unique burrata dish I have ever had. The combination of the toasted bread, savory burrata, sweet nut crunch, and the unique taste of huitlacoche (Mexican caviar) was so well-done and just all fit so well together. Last but not least, the tres leches. Hands down, the best dessert I have ever had. Not too sweet and just heavenly. Do not skip this. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" after every bite. Second, drinks. I love mezcal. If you are a fan of mezcal or tequila, this place is a must go. I was given a free birthday shot with a side of crickets (I hate bugs but try it, it's actually really good), orange, and wormsalt. We got the Stinger and Colada. I was warned that the Stinger is a love it or hate it drink. I personally enjoyed it but it is very in your face with the herbal taste. The Colada is much easier. Last but not least, the service. Jorge, the sous chef, deserves 6 stars alone. He really elevated our experience which was already great to next level. He took care of us professionally while also being very personable. I would highly recommend getting a seat at the chef's table if you can. If you are celebrating an occasion, trying to impress a date, or just want a phenomenal meal, I can't recommend Mezcaleria Alma enough. I'll be back soon!

The corn sour was interesting with the mezcal base and surprisingly worked. 7/10. Loved that the drinks were strong. Overall, a really solid Michelin experience with great vibes and standout bites.

I've been staying at home, but was out of some of the beer I wanted to use. I went out for another errand and happened to pass by Cask and Craft. Hmmm...this sounds interesting. Plus it's a local shop, and I'm all about supporting local, particularly during this time. I pulled up Cask and Craft's website and was super happy to see the list of precautions they are taking to keep their customers safe. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you. I then explained from a distance that I was looking for a dark beer, preferably a stout. I was escorted to the back of the store and shown the fridge with all the dark beer. WOW! big selection. I had the choice of 6 packs, 4 packs, or mix and match. This was perfect for me because I needed 5 beers. I ended up selecting Jackie O's Java the Stout. When I brought up my 5 pack, the owner told me it was a great beer (one of his favorite dark beers) and that it was a solid choice. He was not wrong. This beer is awesome, and paired so well with my peanut butter cookie pairing. So good. I will definitely be back to Cask and Craft. Their shop is filled with all different types of wine, liquor, and beer. It's organized so nicely, and the shop itself has this comforting vibe when you walk in. I'm so appreciative of everything they are doing to keep customers safe and for the recommendations they give.

The store staff practices social distancing and makes sure all customers use fh sanitizer provided at the entrance. Awesome! Never ever shop and touch anything with unsanitized hands. The store is immaculate and organized! I got two bottles as a gift to Hubby's niece.
