I finally had the chance to try Leven Deli and the sandwiches are pretty good. The rye bread was delicious. I had the classic Ruben and it was really tasty. I personally thought it might have been too much meat. I would've liked less meat with the option to add more veggies and fiber. But overall, I liked it. The potato salad was okay. Not my fave. However the brownie was delicious. I don't usually eat brownies but the one from Leven Deli was so so good. It's not too sweet but it's still moist enough to enjoy.
I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, and Eleven Deli is top notch. We stopped in around noon on a Sunday and it was packed, with a line to order. You order at the counter, grab a number, and then find a table. Seating was filling up quickly, but we managed to snag one. I went with the Focaccia & Mozzarella, and wow. The house-made focaccia might be some of the best I've ever had, soft, fresh, and with that perfect bounce you want from focaccia. It's filled with fresh mozzarella and spinach pesto, and I added chicken for extra protein. The sandwich is huge, easily big enough to split with someone. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side ($17 + $6 for chicken), but the quality is there. You can also add prosciutto for less, which I'd definitely consider next time. The house pickles on the side were gas. We also grabbed a half loaf of sourdough for around $6, which I thought was a great option. My fiancée and I sometimes struggle to finish a full loaf, so being able to buy half was perfect. I had some toasted with breakfast the next morning, and the sourdough was excellent too. They also have a great-looking pastry selection, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to work my way through the other sandwiches, both grilled and cold. If you love sandwiches, Leven Deli is worth the stop.
Phenomenal experience here- line was long-ish on a Saturday at 11am. We arrived just in time for the lunch menu and the order taking process is very efficient. I ordered a pesto mozzarella focaccia sandwich and added chicken, coconut ube latte and the tahini brownie. Initially I thought it was expensive but then I saw the portions! Lasted me two whole meals and was stuffed both times. Everything was DELISH and so fresh and the bread is made in house!! The coconut latte was also a surprise because usually restaurant coffees are meh, but it was VERY good. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE ONE THING FROM THIS REVIEW LET IT BE THIS: GET THE TAHINI BROWNIE. I've never had anything like it- crunchy, soft, moist, DELICIOUS. And so worth every penny. Will absolutely be back this place is so cute and great for a casual breakfast or lunch
Had such a great experience at Level Deli. When you enter, you order at the register then grab a table inside or outside. You're given a number and they bring your food at to you. The service at the register was great; they were so helpful. I ordered the lamb kabobs. It came with 2 skewers, hummus, tzatziki, grilled lemon, a flat bread, pickles, a tomato and cucumber salad, and cabbage. It was plenty of food and it was so delicious. I would highly recommend getting this entree. For dessert, I got the snickerdoodle which had a nice taste but it's not the texture I like for that type of cookie. It was quite a thick cookie. As we were leaving, I got a baguette to go. I enjoyed eating it for a couple of days but there's something about it that's a little different though I can't quite put my finger on it.
Levan Deli was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding--we were greeted at the door, given a thorough explanation of the menu, and offered thoughtful recommendations that made it easy to decide what to order. The flourless chocolate cookie was absolutely delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous. The curry potato salad was a fun twist on a classic, adding just enough flavor to make it unique without overpowering the dish. The café itself has a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.
If you haven't tried this sandwich spot in the Golden Triangle area, what are you doing? Jk do NOT go. I don't need the line getting any longer... But seriously, this place was amazing. They have happy hour drinks all day on weekends, and the strawberry spritz was delish. Highly recommend!
Oh my my, what delicious sandwiches!! The environment was upbeat and welcoming, the line long but fast-moving and worth the wait. We chose the two Reuben sandwiches, The Rachel (smoked turkey, Jarlsberg, slaw) and the Pastrami Reuben (house-made pastrami, Jarlsberg, cabbage). Both were on house-made rye, and served with house-made pickles... both absolutely delicious! The curry potato salad was pretty good, but if I come again I would stick with the pasta salad, that was exceptionally flavorful and yummy. Honorable mention to the thick, chewy cookies, and the delicious Ginger Shrub drink!
This is my second time stopping in to this delicious spot. First time for lunch and this time for breakfast - both were spot on! Today I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and their Ube Coconut Latte special. Everything came out quick and hot, servers were so welcoming.
Just went recently and it still holds up! Worked two blocks away and would always go here for lunch especially when work sponsored haha! I think at this point we know this place is good! This most recent time we got the Fennel-Braised Pork and the BLT. Both were pretty good. I love my Pork sandwich! I will say the sides are always inconsequential but that's okay for me. The sandwiches are stellar. It is a bit of a higher price point which can be a deciding factor, but I think its worth it. Love this place!
Not cheap but the sandwiches are huge and delicious and made with a house baked bread. Everything here is great. It's been our go-to place after visiting the wonderful art museum nearby. This place can get busy but no matter how crowded it was we could always find a spot. The staff can help when it busy. The hummus plate is another great option, it's huge and can be great to share. The place also has an in house coffee shop so it can be a sandwich with a glass of wine or coffee with pastry- or both! The place is loud inside but in a good busy way. There are also picnic tables outside. I'd love if they offer cold water not just room temp.
WOW!!!!! I went to Leven. I died and saw the other side. I ran around to all the people chilling in the afterlife and told them they must reincarnate if only to eat at Leven! Service was very friendly and, though very busy, each server interacted with you with an authority over the menu and a genuine care that you were there. Of note: Pickled mushroom hummus. Just get it. House made ginger, apple cider vinegar drink. 15/10 drink it! Turkey Sandwich. The bread was the exactly soft and crusty and moist and of the heavens.
Leven deli was absolutely everything I wanted it to be. I was starving after a long flight to Denver and immediately jumped on yelp to see what I could eat. Leven was right at the top of the list, so I headed over and was greeted by a beautiful restaurant and a very lively lunch crowd. Everyone seemed pleased with their food and were so happy to be there. I was helped immediately and directed to the counter to order. They provided great recommendations and were helpful with my order! While waiting for my order, I helped myself to samples they were giving out of their AMAZING whipped feta and house made biscuits. For lunch, I got the turkey club (10/10 sooo good) and a side of the macaroni salad (also 10/10!) and a huge snickerdoodle cookie. I wish we had a place like this where I live because I would be going all the time!
Leven Deli Co. is what would happen if Ron Swanson opened a Jewish deli in downtown Denver and let southern blues play over the speakers while he worked. There's no performance here, no hospitality theater, no one asking how the first few bites are treating you. You walk up to the counter, you order, you take a number, you sit down. The food does the talking. And the food has a lot to say. I went on a bright Wednesday morning with a couple of friends and ordered the classic breakfast, swapping bacon for pastrami (a first for me) with an everything biscuit on the side (also a first). Both were revelations. The eggs over-hard might be the best version of that order I've ever gotten from a restaurant -- just a whisper of uncooked yolk in the center, perfectly seared on both sides. Skillet potatoes were spot-on. The skillet pastrami was rich and properly crisped at the edges. And the two generous slices of sourdough arrived with a scratch-made blueberry jam that I ended up smearing on everything I could -- sourdough, biscuit, probably would've eaten it with a spoon if no one was looking. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich, which clearly belongs in the staples category. The baguette was the star: toasted outside, pillow-soft inside, zero tug-of-war with your teeth. That detail alone tells you the kitchen cares. This is the Ron Swanson part: there's an unapologetic confidence to this place. They know exactly what they're doing, they're not trying to oversell it, and they're not interested in charming you into liking it. They're just going to hand you something excellent and trust you to figure out the rest. The coffee was good. The food was setting-a-benchmark good. A real 5 out of 5 stars, no pickin nits. Mild observation, not a complaint: the service is counter-only, no traditional table service. Would Matthew McConaughey or Reese Witherspoon dropping plates off elevate the experience? Sure. But Ron wouldn't have it any other way, and honestly, neither would I after eating here. If I lived within 45 minutes of downtown Denver, this would be my destination breakfast. As it is, I'm a 12 hour drive away, and if it were only 11, perhaps I'd go tomorrow. The real downside? The food was so good I completely forgot to take a picture.
First timer. Came at 11:00 on a Tuesday. Not too busy. It got busier with lunch crowd as we were leaving. Service: excellent service! You are greeted by a nice gentlemen right as you walk in and provided a menu. You order at the counter and they give you a number. They bring the food when ready and clean up your plates when you leave. Food: My husband and I shared the pastrami sandwich with macaroni salad, , red pepper and tomato soup, and olives and feta plate. All tasted amazing! Oh and the pickles that come with the sandwiches are a pinch spicy.. soo yummy! Ambiance: cute place. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve beer and wine with a little countertop seating area. Ingredients are fresh , you can taste it. They sell some of their side dishes to take home. read more
I'd call Leven Deli Co. a modern deli with both newer and traditional items. What's typical is that it is busy and lively inside. There's also ample outdoor seating, depending on the weather. The menu has many delectable items making it hard to choose, in a good way. In fact, if I lived in Denver, I'd go back again and again to try everything. The "newer" items include Thai curry lentil soup (which was excellent). grilled kabobs, marinated artichokes, esquites, picked cauliflower (excellent and very tart), dolmas (good, standard dolma), a braised pork sandwich, pimento grilled cheese, and many other items from which to choose. The more traditional items are the classic pastrami, reuben, turkey club, and more, plus a meat / deli counter, giving Leven solid delicatessen cred. The french curry potato salad was excellent. The BLT was one of the best ever had according to my friend. The focaccia & mozzarella was amazing as well. For dessert and I admit an impulse buy at the register, the chocolate, tahini, malted milk brownie was thick, decadent, unique and even better the next day. Great location near the Denver Art Museum, making it a great stop after or before perusing the museum, but probably after because you'll be hungry - you gotta eat something. 5/5, 8.5/10. read more

In Denver on the way home tonight and need a great sandwich for the plane. I've been to Denver numerous times and have never heard of Levan's Deli. That changes tonight. We arrived at noon only to find a huge crowd with everyone enjoying outside dining on a sunny day. This place is hopping and the staff is working their butts off. The energy here super high and I wish we were not pressed for time. We ordered a 12 day old pastrami on an unbelievable home-made toasted rye bread with Jarlsberg, Levin sauce and cabbage. The sandwich was hot, tasty and flavor-packed. The crust was a bit tough but it did not stop me from inhaling. The menu is vast, energy is high and this is a place you just were you want to be. I can't wait to return with plenty of time to drool over the menu and survey the dishes flying out of the kitchen. Great job, fun environment and tasty food, congrats Levin Deli! read more

5/5 one of the best lunch spots I have been to. The food is made with quality ingredients and tastes incredible. I highly recommend the Mac salad and the turkey sandwich. So filling and so good. Great options for lunch. You want in line to order at the counter, and then find a table inside or outside. Lots of space on both ends. Definitely a busy place, but the workers were super nice and got the food out quickly. The only downside is that it is a little pricier but I think you pay for the quality you receive. read more

Quite literally one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I got the Braised Pork sandwich which is: braised pork, arugula, pickled onions, and an aioli on baguette bread. The pork was juicy and well-made. Every bite was so yummy and I finished it all in one go. Their pickles look spicy, but aren't. They are super sour, which is something I like, so I put it inside my sandwich and it made an awesome combination. The line was long at 1 PM, but moved fairly quickly. I was also concerned about parking, but there was a parking lot directly across from the Deli. Staff was attentive and quick, overall. I also appreciated how open and spacious the inside felt, while still having ample enough seating for everyone. Will totally be back and this is officially one of my favorite spots in CO. read more
Everything here is super clean and executed well. The menu to the decor flows with a slight step back in time and the music is a little upbeat. It's a great vibe. It's alive with healthy topiary in the dining area and the smell of yeasty breads baking in the back. The breakfast menu is simple and non pretentious. There's a little something everyone can enjoy. I got a sandwich on sourdough and ordered it open faced. It was so much food that it made 2 sandwiches for me. I love the sourdough. The breakfast plate is a classic and they serve their bread with a healthy helping of jam. The view is nice and it's good people watching. Perfect place to stop if you're doing a museum day in Cap Hill. read more
Finally!! After enjoying Leven at so many Yelp events, and seeing their local and national rankings consistently so high, I finally had the pleasure of eating here. Packed, even on a rando weekday. Expect people. Lots of people. I ordered the Ruben and lamb kabobs. Also, a loaf of rye to go. You're looking at $85 + for two people, but the quality is well worth it. Do it!!!! read more
Fire sandwich spot. We're visiting from California for new years and stumbled upon this place on Yelp since it was walkable from our hotel. We arrived around 12:30pm and there was a line out the door until 2pm, so definitely prepare for a wait. They have a good amount of indoor seating but it was so busy that we had no choice, but to sit outside. Luckily, it wasn't too cold. You order at the counter and the register workers puts a description of you on your receipt so that your waiter can find you. I got labeled big white scarf :D. We got the classic Reuben pastrami sandwich and the mushroom barley soup. Both were very flavorful and hearty, but I recommend the going the sandwich route if you have to pick one. Later found out this place made Yelp 100 2026, so happy we got to check that one off :) read more
This place has a lotttttt of hype behind it. I won't say it disappointed, I just had really high expectations. Disclaimer, this was the first time I had a Reuben pastrami sooo hang in with my review. I think I just don't really like that type of sandwich, if ya know what I mean. That being said, portions were huge, had loads of meat on it and genuinely had a lot of taste. We split a grilled cheese (I forget the name) and it was AMAZING. I think there was like chive cream cheese on it? Sooooo good. 1000% recommend getting this one and splitting it for the table The bread was incredible! I really want to give this place another try and get something I'm more familiar with! read more
I came here on a Friday during lunch and it was PACKED. Don't even think about snagging a table before you order, you'll have staff hunting you down and harassing you about whether or not you've ordered. I partially understand why they enforce ordering prior to seating but at the same time... no one died. We started with the lamb meatballs which were really good! You get three decent sized meatballs which I felt was a great amount for an appetizer. I ordered The Rachel sandwich with a side of macaroni salad and pickles. So many people had raved about the pickles and honestly I didn't think they were anything special. My sandwich was good as well just a little dry. The macaroni salad was also extremely mid. My boyfriend had the Pastrami Ruben sandwich with potato salad. The middle was all cabbage and slaw while the outside was all meat- it could've been put together more evenly. The pastrami was good but the sandwich was dry. We both agreed the bread was good. We got an espresso martini and a Hugo spritz. Both were good, the martini was just stiff. Overall, this was decent spot but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more
Nothing I love more than a good turkey sandwich. I was craving a Rachel. Not just any Rachel- but a solid east coast deli Rachel. the bread needed to be perfect, same with the slaw (shit slaw will ruin it!) and I needed the turkey to be thinly sliced- I'm really grossed out by thick cut deli meats- lol. Let me tell you- they were first of all, quick! Shoutout to their delivery service (maybe DoorDash? I used Toast). Unfortunately I cannot speak to the ambiance, but it must be good because you don't have sandwiches this delicious just anywhere! I'll be back! read more
5 Stars for a smoked beet Rueben and white beans that are worth the wait! Yes, there will likely be a line at this deli and there's a reason- it lands on local Top Eats lists (like topping Yelp's 2025 Top Places to Eat in Denver) and has earned their reputation. The line moves quickly as you order at the counter. From there you grab your table number (for when your order's ready) and start the search for a spot. The gal at the register told us they could help us find a table if we had trouble, but we got lucky and didn't have to look for long! And then came the food. We got the beet Rueben (vegetarian) which was definitely enough for two of us to share. I also spotted a giant bean salad and am so glad I made the impromptu purchase! Both dishes have lived in my mind and daydreams for weeks since leaving Denver. It's right by a bunch of great museums, so this is a perfect spot after enjoying some art in downtown! read more

Saw so many videos about Leven having good sandwiches and they all hold true! Went in on Sunday afternoon for a bite after a long walk at the park - we sat outdoors with our pooch and got the pastrami and the Italian! This place did not disappoint. We were famished and the sandwiches hit the right spot! Highly recommend if you're in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood and want a high quality sandwich - try this place out! My dog was happy too - he got many pets from the servers out here. read more

I love this place so much! I just moved to the neighborhood and come here now either once a week for coffee or once every couple weeks for a sandwich. I am gluten-free and oh my gosh... Their sandwiches are so good and the bread is perfection. They also give my dog a pup cup :) everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming and I just love sitting on the patio. This place hits the spot! Functions like a classic deli with fantastic service and great food! I'm so glad that we decided to grab breakfast here one morning. After ordering in line, you're able to take a carafe of still or sparkling water to your table with your number and wait for your order to come out. There is seating inside, but I definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful little neighborhood if weather permits. Our orders came pretty quickly and we were solidly impressed with everything we chose. Starting with the classic Leven Biscuit (we asked for their apple jam and butter on the side). The biscuit was fluffy and the apple cinnamon jam was unique tasty. It's not the best biscuit I've ever had, but it's a solid 7.5/10. I believe you can order biscuits in bulk and jars of the jam prepackaged. The avocado toast I ordered came with some sliced tomatoes, pickled red onions and seasoning. Again, not the best avocado toast I've had, but the bread was extremely high quality and I'd have purchased a loaf if I wasn't flying home with an overweight bag that day. I think a little drizzle of olive oil or even some pepper flakes would have added the perfect last flavor layer to this dish. Finally, the breakfast sandwich was perfection. Truly no notes! The bread was the star, but a close second to the wonderful pastrami slices, cheddar, eggs and crunchy arugula and greens. My partners iced pumpkin spice latte was stellar as well. This place healed me after a night of drinking. Would I come back here? Absolutely. And next time I'm going at the start of my trip so I can buy their bread to snack on during my Denver travels. read more

We ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich, a Rueben, and a brownie. We both chose the macaroni salad as our side. The sandwiches were very yummy and very filling, and the brownie was more like a "brookie" and was one of the best either of us have had. The pickles were yummy and also a tiny bit spicy. We did not enjoy the macaroni salad sides as much, but they have plenty of other options. The food was pretty expensive, especially for the amount you get. It is counter service, so you wait in line, order at the counter, and receive a number. Staff bring your food to you when it is ready. We waited a reasonable amount of time and it was way to figure out. The ambiance is very casual and relaxed. It is very pretty both inside and on the patio. They have internet and a very relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to stay. I would come back here, but do keep in mind that it is a little on the expensive side. read more

If you're in the mood for a great pastrami sandwich this spot is a must. I came on a Friday ~11AM and it was already pretty busy with a steady crowd. Parking was easy enough with metered spots across the street. The ordering process is straightforward. You order at the register, grab a table number and the staff brings your food out. You pour your own water by the register. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Outside seating can get warm but there are umbrellas for shade. Utensils are at the table. As a first timer, I had to order the Pastrami Reuben ($20). It was packed with flavor and incredibly filling. So glad I split this with my husband! Be careful of the crust if you have a sensitive mouth. For sides I tried the French Curry Potato Salad which stood out since you don't often see it at delis. It was tasty and unique. I also grabbed the Kale Salad for $1.50 which was fresh and light. It leaned heavy on cilantro, which I personally love but it might not be for everyone. The vibe is very laid back. I noticed lots of people enjoying casual meals with their partners or catching up with friends. After eating we walked around the neighborhood and there's plenty to see which makes this place an even better stop. Overall the food is delicious and portions are generous. I'd definitely recommend splitting a sandwich unless you're really hungry. I'll be back the next time I visit Denver! read more
After a long morning spent at Meow Wolf Convergence, we were really hungry. I looked up places to eat and found this deli on Yelp. The interior is homey and inviting with beautiful hanging plants everywhere, lots of tables to dine at and even a bar in the corner serving up some delicious drinks. What I was most impressed with was the outstanding and friendly customer service we received from the moment we walked in to the time we left. We were helped by Maylynn. She took our order and made recommendations to us. The whole time she was smiling and so engaged with us. She made us feel quite welcome. I ordered the the turkey club with macaroni salad and my husband ordered the Pastrami Reuben. Both sandwiches arrived quickly to our table. Overall the sandwiches were just ok. My husband said his sandwich had kind of a weird taste so not the typical Reuben. My turkey was good but not great. I can't quite pinpoint why the sandwiches didn't work for us but I would still be willing to come back again in the future to try something else We finished up and as we were packing up to leave, one of the employees asked us if we wanted a brownie. We responded "Yes!" We were then offered a baguette, then some biscuits. It seems at the end of the day, they don't want to carry over any leftover product from the day before so we scored with some wonderful freebies. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Seating is self served but there were several options for seating on a Monday morning. We waited for lunch to try the sandwiches and they did not disappoint! Although a steep price for sandwiches, it was pretty tasty and flavorful. I do wish the chips weren't extra and the other sides were okay. Additionally, the pickle slices were not very pickle-y coming from someone who loves pickles. It tasted more on the end of cucumbers. read more
