Stopped in this weekend to try the brunch menu! Started off with the deviled eggs which were delicious and went for the tomato and avocado benedict. It came out with perfectly poached eggs and a large serving of crispy potatoes! We also ordered the cookies n cream milkshake which was delicious, their milkshakes are a classic staple and they have a ton of fun specialty flavors as well. The restaurant was relatively busy but we were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. The service here is always wonderful and while the brunch menu has a wonderful selection of items, I'm definitely still biased to their happy hour menu!

I had a fantastic dinner here last night. It was my first time at Steuben's. My waitress was very kind and professional. I very much enjoyed my interactions with her. The interior of this place has a sleek retro 50s modern vibe. They serve home cooked comfort food. I ordered the pot roast with their specialty biscuit and a club soda with lime. Club soda tasted really good! Their pot roast is out of this world. If you're a pot roast fan like me, order it! I also ordered their bread pudding for dessert. The portion is big and plenty for two people. It wasn't overly sweet too. The waitress was correct when telling me the sweetness level. Overall, very impressive! I will probably return here when I'm back in town on Sunday. They're known for their fried chicken and I want to try it as I'm a huge fan of it.

Service was fast and super nice! I enjoyed the old timey atmosphere with the old menus and newspapers on the wall. Chicken pot pie- very yummy I loved the crust it was so flaky and buttery Salmon- this was hands down the best thing I ate in my time in Denver. The chickpea salad was so yummy and the lemon juice on top made it so good Brussels sprouts- I think they just gave us a bad batch bc they were so salty and we couldn't eat them but they took it off the bill and gave us a slice of cake Carrot cake- I will always love a carrot cake so nothing crazy to report on that

Midcentury styled restaurant in the uptown neighborhood! While it is a popular brunch spot, I recently ate here for dinner on a cold night. They offer many comfort food options! That said, the chicken pot pie ($18) was a very hearty and tasty option! Loved the flaky and crisp pot pie pastry cover and the filling had great flavor! However the filling may have had to wait on the crust- the crust was hot and obviously freshly baked while the pot pie filling was warm but not hot. We had good service - friendly, timely, and personable. There were three of us dining in and we had a nice table/booth near the entrance. Our party also had: -the green chile cheeseburger which for $16, (served burger only, no fries or sides) was reported as fairly unremarkable. Visually, I thought it could have been presented better as the bun looked smashed or roughed up/fast food style. -and the fried chicken plate ($25). My friend said the fried chicken was good but some of the white meat was pretty dry. As a whole, while the restaurant has diner like inspirations, do not expect diner like pricing. One note for ambiance, the music was too loud for the aesthetic and busyness of the restaurant that evening. We had trouble talking/hearing each other over the music. The speaker was right above or table so that may have underscored the issue/volume level for us.

I want to preface this with our server was amazing and management was super cool. We loved our dining experience from a service standpoint. Also kitchen has nothing to do with the changes they just follow orders so it is owners fault. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!!! 10 years ago you had an amazing menu and everything on it was bomb dot com. Now the same gravy fries are somewhat gravy and cheesy and they had no flavor. The monte cristo used to be fluffy battered and now it's just crispy and not the good crispy. The biscuit was super dry and inedible. The bread pudding was burnt when it came to me. So sad. Did you fire your chef or did he quit??? Whatever you do bring them back please. The hot chicken had too much spice not enough flavor. Also the pickles used to be scratched made here into pickle spears. Also charging for sides is criminal. The Brussels sprouts were the best thing. Please have an open forum where the public helps you make adjustments to the menu to bring back Steuben's to its former glory. THE PUBLIC WANTS TO HELP YOU!!! We want our favorite restaurant back.

Oooh WOW , this place was fun for a Christmas Pop-up bar! Had friends come see me for the New Year and they still wanted some holiday cheer. We just made the cut off for visiting the Christmas set up. Made reservations via Open Table. The restaurant had a parking lot and there were spots on the street as well. They had the entire enclosed patio decorated and they had heaters going. They even turned it down for us as it was a bit too warm. Our server was awesome. We ordered off the happy hour menus and some stuff off the regular menu. They had so many fun holiday drinks. The Parker rolls melted in our mouths and they had a delicious Monte Cristo. Ordered a dreamy creamy carrot cake slice . Not too sweet , it was just right. It was a very relaxing and welcoming experience.

After 8 years of living in Denver, we finally tried Steuben's Uptown -- and I'm glad we made a reservation because the place was packed! Once seated, we dove into their extensive drink and food menus. Our waitress took our drink order right away, and though it took us a few extra minutes (okay, about eight) to decide on food, she was patient and friendly. Drinks arrived just as we finished ordering, which was perfect timing. We started with the fried pickles, which came out piping hot -- delicious, though just a touch over-seasoned. For mains, I had the pot roast and my husband went with the chicken pot pie. Both dishes were hearty, comforting, and generously portioned, but a bit heavy on the salt. We definitely noticed it the next morning when we were both super thirsty! Overall, Steuben's Uptown delivered great service, satisfying comfort food, and a lively atmosphere. A solid 4 stars from us

Great, charming diner in Denver with awesome service and a fun, welcoming vibe. The lobster roll was good, but honestly not worth the price tag. There are better things on the menu to try. Still, it's definitely a spot worth checking out, especially if you enjoy places that have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

    Fried Chicken*

I ordered the fried chicken per the waiter's suggestion. The chicken was very moist and seasoned. There were three humongous pieces and I took half of them in a to go box. The gravy was typical, nothing specially flavored about it. The service was good, our waiter was very friendly and gave suggestions. The restrooms were large and clean. The interior design of the restaurant is very American with newspapers and pictures on the walls. If I wasn't an American, this restaurant is how I would imagine an American restaurant would be like.

Bananas split with broken bananas, and whipped cream falling off
    Rhonda M.

Steubens is really pricey for what you get. I had a beer, banana split, and some loaded fries and after tip, it was about $70 . And the food is ok. Both times I have been here. I have sat at the bar. The bartenders and wait staff both times seemed unenthusiastic and not real welcoming. It's almost as if they tolerate their customers being there. On this trip, I had some smothered french fries and an ice cream sundae banana split bowl. I mean, you really can't mess up ice cream but the presentation I thought it could've been a little better. My banana was literally broken up on top. This smothered fries, lacked care on the plate or any garnish. I don't know if it's the management here or what would have employees care so little about the people they are caring for. Even when placing an order for more food or beverage it seemed really difficult. It's almost as if you have to place your entire order at the time they're ready to take your order or it's an inconvenience . I have now tried this restaurant for brunch and for dinner. My interactions with staff were very similar both times. I even had someone from the wait staff complain to me about having to go to work that day and they should've called out sick. And the food both times was a 5 to 7 out of 10. People are impressed with the ambience a lot. It has that 1950s diner feel but it's a little more upscale than that. It does have a nice layout and it is cozy. But you probably can cook better at home. I know this is a local favorite however, I will not be suggesting this restaurant to anyone as a place for us to go for dinner or anytime.

I recently went to the Steuben's holiday popup and it was so cozy and inviting! The cocktail and mocktail selection was great. They always put so much thought into their decor and menu for these popups. I loved how you can pick your own mug for the make your own hot chocolate bar

    Great menu!

Fantastic food, service and ambience! These folks know how to put out some amazing grub, and got three thumbs up out of three in our picky group. The manager made a point to visit the tables while we were there and made you feel they truly appreciated your business. Pretty darn good, given the lack of service times we are in these days. This place has its own parking lot, so no parking issues and establishment was spotless, including the rest rooms. Will he back for sure!

Steuben's is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. It's the kind of place that feels nostalgic in the best way...classic, unfussy, and consistently great. When friends or family come into town, this is usually my go-to. The food is approachable, comforting, and always solid. On my most recent visit, I came in craving two very important things: burgers and their fries and let me tell you, it delivered. We tried a few different burgers: The Cheeseburger was simple and satisfying with a brioche bun, American cheese, fresh toppings, and that classic combo of mayo and mustard. The Crunch Burger might've changed my life a couple of years ago (I celebrated a big promotion with it), and it still holds up. The pressed bun, melted cheese, tangy special sauce, and those griddled onions? Unreal. The Patty Melt was next-level. I'm a patty melt person (read: I've had the one at Whataburger's), but this one hit different. Perfectly toasted marbled rye, gooey cheese blend, and rich caramelized onions and just chef's kiss. Then there was the boozy piña colada shake: coconut rum, pineapple, vanilla soft serve, toasted coconut, and a cherry on top. I usually avoid ordering blended drinks at bars but here? No shame. Just creamy, coconutty goodness. Also worth shouting out: their fried chicken, deviled eggs, and that rich chocolate cake that has almost brought me to tears. Every time I leave Steuben's, I'm full and happy. Whether you're stopping in for brunch, happy hour, dinner, or just dessert...this place is always a win. Don't overthink it. Just go.

Drink: I ordered the Continental, which is their take on an Old Fashioned with a black cherry. It was delicious and definitely didn't taste like a cheap drink despite the price point. Service: Despite how packed it was, the service was incredibly fast. We got our drinks in maybe 2-3 minutes tops. The staff is efficient and friendly. Overall Experience: Whether you're visiting and staying near Union Station or just looking for a fun local getaway, I highly recommend this place. We walked from our hotel, but if you drive, be prepared to look for street parking or a garage. It's fun, cheap, and has great theme nights. I'll definitely be back!
