    5. Szechuan Spicy Xiao Long Bao
    Lily P.

Incredibly disappointing restaurant. I love xiao long bao (Shanghai soup dumplings), and this place's XLB were terrible. My friend and I shared 1 serving of the spicy XLB and 1 serving of the regular pork XLB. All XLB came in tiny tin/aluminum trays, which ended up strongly affecting their flavor. Everything tasted tin-y and off. Also, two of the servers were clearly (very visibly) flirting with each other and ignoring the customers. We tried to wave them down to ask where our companion's dish (stir fry beef) was, and they ignored us until we stood up and walked up to them directly. It turns out that the kitchen somehow forgot about that dish, so we finished all the other food before the stir fry dish came out. We also never got a water refill because the servers were too busy flirting. I am very disappointed that we spent our time and money here.

I like the fact that they offer a variety of different flavors of xiao long bao. I'm a strong believer that original pork xiao long bao will forever be the best and no other flavor can top the traditional dish. Service was good upon entering the restaurant. We were immediately seated since it wasn't too busy. Water and menus were brought out in a timely manner as well. We ordered: Hot and sour soup Cucumber salad Dillions xiao long bao (1 of each flavor) Original xiao long bao (10 pieces) Taro bun (x2) Custard bun (x2) It actually came out to a lot of food. I first tried the dillions xiao long bao because I was curious about the different flavors. Cheese - did not taste the cheese at all Kimchi - no kimchi flavor either Curry - barely any curry flavor Szechuan - the only one I liked with decent flavor Lobster & shrimp - tastes exactly like it Garlic - okay. Nothing great The original was what I had next. I had also asked when the food was served if they also provided sliced ginger to pair with the xiao long bao, which they don't, so that was extremely disappointing. Xiao long bao is best eaten with sliced ginger with your sauce. They also premix the dipping sauce for you which I did not like at all. The ratio of soy sauce, vinegar, and whatever other ingredients they put in the sauce is all wrong and doesn't bring out the flavor of the xiao long bao to the best of its ability. They only have soy sauce and hot sauce at the table as well so you can't even mix your own sauce properly to dip your xiao long bao in. I didn't like how the xiao long bao was steamed with foil. You can see how the texture is all wrong. The bottom is all soggy while the top is stiff and dry. Overall not impressed at all. The taro bun seems to be the brand I buy at the Chinese super market and warm up myself at home. The only thing I liked here was the hot and sour soup.

As China Cafe was closed on Wednesday, haphazardly went to Dillon's Dumpling House nearby for a quick lunch. Although the restaurant was not large, probably a sushi restaurant conversion, but seating was comfortable. The menu reminded me of Bryan's Dumpling House in DTC, with its signature handmade multi-color Xiaolongbao, with some variances in flavor. Besides Xiaolongbao and dumplings, they also had Chinese flavor ramen, dim sum and even Peking Duck. Ordered Dillon's Xiaolongbao, steamed pork dumpling, steamed veggie dumpling, pan fried leek cake and BBQ pork bun. All were quite tasty and up to standard. Besides dining in, they also had frozen Xiaolongbao for people to prepare at home. It is at Tower and Hampden

What used to be a sushi restaurant is now a Cantonese/Chinese restaurant. With a namesake like Dillon's Dumpling House they have a wide range of dumplings to choose from the menu. I ended up getting the Dillion's dumpling sampler which had one of each dumpling. Dumpling come out after 10-15 minutes and are piping hot and stay hot for quite some time. I don't have a favorite because all the dumplings were awesome. I also ordered a hot and sour soup and that was amazing too.I'll have to explore the menu some more next time because they offer a lot more cooked foods, ramen and even fried rice! Service here is stellar and the atmosphere is also top notch. Don't let the strip mall vibe get in the way of stopping here. Excited to return now that I know I have access to yummies down the road!

Great food, great vibes, great price! Definitely my new soup dumpling spot and excited to try more of the menu.

Just discovered this place existed and it did not disappoint. Small, bright, clean place with friendly service and a great selection of food. We tried pan fried veg, pork steamed dumplings both filled generously and full of flavor. Our favorites were the soup dumplings, we tried the Szechwan Spicy (#5) and the Garlic (#8), and they were both soooo good. We also tasted the crab cheese wontons, which were also delicious and creamy. Check this little local charming place out!!

Good food!! We got take out two nights in a row. The first night we tried Dim Sum. Last night we had traditional Chinese takeout with chicken fried rice and Mongolian beef. I really like the Dim Sum. Staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean and has modern look. Parking is in a shared lot. Good luck with that. Dillion's is close to our house so I know we will be back.

Do I feel lucky to have such an amazing, authentic dumpling house in my neighborhood. Family owned, Dillon's is known for their many flavors of soup dumplings (xiao long bao) that come in colorfully wrapped dough based on each flavor. Service was friendly but got a little slow when lunch rush hour started to pick up. We started with a cucumber salad to split. Crisp, fresh cucumber was tossed in a spicy chili oil. I had to try Dillon's Xiao Long Bao 8 Flavors - a sampling of their soup dumplings. These are made to order and brought to the table steaming hot. (I had to take a few pics since the steam fogged up my camera lens.) My server asked if I wanted him to tell me the flavors or if I wanted to guess. I figured I would test my palate and try the guessing game. I could easily taste the flavors of the curry, Szechuan spicy, cheese, lobster/shrimp, and guessed the original came in the traditional non-dyed dough. The kimchi, crab, and garlic had subtler flavors and weren't as obvious. Prices are super reasonable and the order of dumplings I had was very filling. In addition to soup dumplings, there are many other options available such as dim sum and other Chinese dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Dillon's Xian Long Boa. So pretty and so very, very delicious.

The strip mall that Dillions is located in has a variety of different shops for your needs. Who knew you needed dumplings?! This place is excellent. While the name may seem like all they have is dumplings, they do offer a variety of traditional Chinese-American food like sesame and orange chicken. This place used to be a quick sushi restaurant but it has changed ownership. The decor and set up is basically the same except there is no sushi and that is perfectly ok. They have cornered the market on dumplings! I opted for the taster, the Dillion's Xiao Long Boa where you get to try 8 of the different soup dumplings. The original pork and curry were my favorites however, all of the dumplings were good. Our waiter was really nice and very attentive to our needs. Dillion's also offers to-go for pick up and has delivery on Door Dash. Definitely going here again. Soup dumplings for the win.

These are so cute!! They have red bean paste or yellow custard inside

So awesome to get a dumpling house on this side of town. What's especially unique about Dillon's Dumplings is that the owners previously worked at some of the big hitters in Denver's dim sum scene: Kings Land, Super Star, and Star Kitchen. My parents instantly recognized them the first time we stopped by (randomly after they picked us up from the airport). While the growing craze for XLB (Xiao Long Bao) dumplings or soup dumplings tend to be the draw to dumpling houses, there are also many excellent items on the menu. I personally love the stir-fried green beans and beef chow fun (flat noodles). They also make the cutest dessert/sweet steamed dumplings with custard or red bean inside, that look like little pigs. Very friendly and fast service!! The restaurant is bustling with customers during the lunch hours.

I felt like having some XLBs today. There was a different place I wanted to try, but I didn't want to drive that far, so I ended up here. This restaurant is a mom & pop type of business. I think multigenerational family members, older and younger, work there. I love to support small business when I can. The owners are Chinese and in good fashion, asked me if I spoke Chinese. I always disappoint! LOL There's free parking in this area that is shared with other businesses in this little strip mall. This restaurant's layout makes me think it was formerly a Japanese Sushi restaurant. The long counter with the visible fridge in front of it is still there. The other part is a bar area. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Vincent who was also my server. He checked up on me regularly. I ordered the 6 count of Crab Xiao Long Bao (XLB). It contains Crab Meat, Pork, & Scallions. When they arrived at the table, I was pleasantly surprised that they were purply in color! My pictures make them look more bluish. While I wanted to love them, they fell a tad bit short. The dough was a little too thick and there was very little soup broth. The thicker dough would have been great for not having the "soup broth" spill out if there was more of it inside. Flavorwise, they were pretty good! They make every dumpling by hand. They have Dillon's Xiao Long Bao which includes one of each of the 8 flavors of XLBs they offer on the menu minus the Vegan one. If you want a colorful basket of steamed XLB dumplings, you should get this! I probably should have ordered this one today! The flavors are Original, Lobster/Shrimp, Crab, Cheese, Szechuan, Kimchi, Curry, and Garlic. I discussed with the waiter that I wanted some veggies. I haven't had any for a few days and I just had to have some! I told him I didn't want an entree sized amount. He told me I could get an appetizer sized steam veggies. I agreed. They came out still steaming hot. They weren't seasoned with anything, so I used my dipping sauce from the dumplings to dip the veggies in. They tasted way better! I liked their place setting with their logo and name on the plate, bowl, and spoon. It's a nice touch! I am happy I didn't order and eat too much food! I left feeling like I didn't overdo it! I would come back and try a Pan Fried Dumpling. I was interested in the Peking Duck, but I think I'll have to get some when I return home to Los Angeles, CA and can share it with hubby.

I stumbled upon this restaurant,(where I initially was going to order from was closed.) With that being said, I pulled up my Yelp app and went to town to find the next best thing. I was in the mood for some Chinese food and found this gem. The chicken fried rice was pretty darn good. Healthier option than most places. Moist chicken but overall, it could have had a little more flavor to it. ( I'll take fresh and a little bland over greasy and salty any day.) I figured I would be adventurous and try some dumplings. Never had em. I just got the Original Xiao Long Bao which is Pork and Scallion dumpling. It came with a semi-spicey soy sauce and chili sauce. (Chili sauce isn't mild, it sneaks up on you) It was good! I would like to try more of what's on their menu, so I'll be back! (Sorry I forgot to snap the dumplings lol)

The xiao long bao were decent, but I personally prefer the soup dumplings at Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings. The crab rangoons were a highlight and had actual crab meat, unlike many places that use imitation crab. The Thai pineapple chicken was too sweet and ended up being our least favorite dish. We loved this restaurant particularly the YuShsn Eggplant and MaPo tofu. We had noticed that the restaurant had changed names and the menu had removed these items a month or so ago and were disappointed. First when I picked up the food I was told that they did not have a lot of MaPo tofu but that they gave me what they had and gave me a $5 bill back...weird. Then I got home and looked at the food and could tell right away that it was not right. The MaPo tofu had peas and carrots that were obviously from frozen and def not in traditional Chinese MaPo tofu. The eggplant was mostly bell pepper and odd pickled vegetables with very little actual eggplant. The crab cheese wantons were dry and flavorless. We were very upset after spending $50 on food that we could not stomach to finish after a few bites. I threw the food away. I decided to call and request a refund. The new owner was very hostile. I tried to be nice and just said the food was not what we expected and that we could not eat it as it did not taste right that we would like a refund. He raised his voice and was angry and kept insisting the recipes had not changed and asking when was the last time we ate there. He insisted that I drive the food back so he could look at it and maybe he would give a refund. I told him I threw the food away and would not spend another 30 minutes total in the car to drive back there. Even if I was in the wrong, the new owner was insulting and never made any attempt to listen to my concerns. I stated that MaPo tofu does not have peas and carrots.
