I have tried several times to visit Nana's Dim Sum at their original location on Tejon St in the Highlands but kept seeing long lines or wait times. I go past this location when coming from church. They opened at 12 noon. I arrived at 1215pm, they were already 1/2 full. My server, Princess P gave me a mark able menu (there was a grease pen in it's own little holder on the table). She said they have the full menu with photos. The place setting includes chopsticks, a soup spoon and a cute napkin. I got jasmine green tea in a stoneware pot. There was enough for 2 1/2 mugs. My first food was the Red Sea Chili Wontons. Well stuffed wontons with lots of chili oil. I added more chili oil from the condiments jar. Next was their Xiao Long Bao Buns. These were very hot. I asked Princess how to pick them up. She said to use the chopsticks to nudge them onto the soup spoon, then slurp. Worked well. I was planning to get their Mapo Tofu, but Princess said it comes in the same size bowl as the wontons, so large quantity for next time. I got the Pork Spareribs and fried Sesame Balls. The Spareribs were misleading. No actual ribs but actually chopped up. Very little meat with bone & gristle. It was too hot to pick up with my fingers. I told Princess. The Sesame Balls were excellent. Princess came back and said kitchen was planning to remove them from the menu soon.

When walking in the double doors the ambiance catches you right away. The service was good, and multiple people came to deliver food. We got a quick run down of the menu and here is what we got: 1. Green Beans: I loved the crispy garlic and such an umami flavor. Whatever sauce they stir fry it in is amazing. 2. Red Chili Wontons: these honestly lacked a lot of flavor. Just felt like wontons and oil and lacked some saltiness. 3. Pork Buns with Crispy Bottom: these were very heavy on the dough. Unfortunately was a miss for us and wished it was less doughy and dense. 4. Spicy Chicken Soup Buns: I loved the flavor and soup. The spiciness definitely has a mini kick. However the red wrapping was a bit thick for my liking. 5. Pork Soup Buns: absolutely delicious, would come back for this! 6. Sesame Balls: for dessert and the red bean filling was chefs kiss. Overall it was a delicious experience, however for 2 people it was a bit on the pricey side. With a 20% tip it was around $120 for all of this. Definitely a splurge and not an everyday place

Yum! I was craving soup dumplings and have been meaning to try this place. We got Chinese Brocolli, Crab Rangoons, Xiao Long Bao, and BBQ Buns. Everything was delicious and the food came out quick (6 PM on a Sunday). My favorite thing was the soup dumplings. They were so juicy and flavorful. I could have eaten so many of them. Will definitely have to check out happy hour one of these days. There's rangoons were standard, but the sauce that was served with them wasn't like your average sweet and sour sauce. My boyfriend really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for greens, so the broccoli was yummy as well, and a decent amount for the price (we even took some home). The BBQ buns were fluffy and sweet. Not my go to at dim sum, but I enjoyed it: There's a good amount of space and seating, while also being clean. Service was also very kind and quick! Would definitely go here again. Some of the best soup dumplings that I've had in Colorado. Didn't get photos of all the food because I was getting hangry, lol.

So after many resistances, my friends and I finally decided to give Nanas a try. I really wanted Nanas to be a traditional dimsum restaurant with carts and stuff because we need more in Colorado. But this is more of soup dumplings and the popular assortment of dimsum dumplings such as har gow. If anyone recommends Nanas as a Ding Tai Fung substitute, they are not your friend. It's an upscale dumpling place. It's definitely on the pricier end of things and you don't get a lot for the cost. It was hard to justify paying $15 for Chinese broccoli. I don't know if the changed things but we went with the Aurora location because the cost was cheaper than some of the Denver locations. Food is okay. It didn't really stand out where I had to come back. My favorite thing we had was the dumpling with sticky rice cause it was different.

I heard great things about Nana's, so I was excited to finally try this place on my recent trip to Denver. Came to Nana's on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 PM and our party of 6 was immediately seated. It was also happy hour, so we got to get a few things from the happy hour menu. We ordered a bunch of items since we were gonna do family style. Everything was really good, but here are the dishes that stuck out: -Hot & sour dumpling soup: We got the soup too, but this one was definitely much better. The dumplings + soup were so tasty together. -Spicy cucumbers: The cucumbers were not soggy at all - there was still crunch. It had a kick to it but it was not too spicy. -Crab rangoons: Probably one of the best crab rangoons that I ever tried. They were huge and definitely packed with all of the crab. It came with sauce, but I feel like it didn't need it. Other ones worth mention are the thumbings and XLB. Definitely a good place to eat at and do family style. The service was excellent and they kept checking on us to make sure we were doing okay. I would 100% recommend this place to folks and visit again!

Truly an amazing dining experience! This was our first time visiting and it truly did not disappoint! We had a party of 16 and we had not made a reservation. They were so kind to accommodate our large party and gave us amazing food recommendations! We ordered family style and we had the best dining experience ever. All the dishes were on point and we will definitely be going back soon.

Yummy food overall, but there are some items that don't necessarily hit the mark. - Favorites: xiao long bao (juicy and skin is not too thick), pan fried potstickers - Would probably order again: beef pancake roll, udon stir fry, stir fry green beans (but this was very salty and the xo sauce was more of a gravy rather than the usual dry fried xo sauce) - would not get again: pan fried pork buns (filling was ok but bun dough was not good), salted egg custard bun (lacking salted egg yolk flavor and honestly any flavor) You can only make reservations for parties of 6+. Staff is very nice. Cute decor inside. Lots of parking in the lot.

This place is all good vibes, friendly staff, but the food is mediocre at best :( It's called Nana's Dim Sum and Dumplings, but I would say the tastiest thing we had was the Chicken Fried Rice and the Stir Fry Green Beans. I have heard good things about this place, but unfortunately, the dumplings were not that up to par..the skin of the shrimp dumplings felt grainy instead of chewy and soft, and it lacked some distinct flavor profiles you would expect with dumplings. All in all, still a great place to check out, but I would stick with non-dumpling items.

We came here to try Nana's Lunch for 2 Special that is offered Monday thru Friday 11AM-2PM for $29.95. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall with free parking. The inside is modern & comfortable with traditional Chinese touches. The place features a beautiful water display & a window into the kitchen where you could see the cooks. Service was good & very attentive. There are six locations on the Front Range & one in NY, with more locations to come. From the Lunch Special menu you order one per category. We ordered Veggie Egg Rolls for the appetizer, Pork & Mushroom Dumplings & Chicken LoMein. We each had a small plate with chopsticks...the dishes are to be shared. The first dish brought to the table was the Chicken LoMein. This dish was good but it needed more chicken & the portion was on the smaller size. The next dish were the dumplings. We had them fried, you order them either fried or steamed. This was my favorite dish. The dumplings were delightful - crispy & flavorful, stuffed full of pork & mushrooms. Last to arrive to the table were the egg rolls. These were nice & crunchy & quite enjoyable as well. I'm eager to return to try more dumplings, they have many different fillings to choose from.

Delicious! I've only had a couple of tastes of Nana's dumplings at a couple of YELP events, but going here for a meal was a fantastic treat. We went during their Happy Hour, so make sure to check their hours of operation as they do have a mid-day break on the weekdays. I was with a large group (yes, 6 or more is a large group and they will add in gratuity to your bill FYI), so we ordered a smattering of many tasty things off their menu. Worried about allergies? They have a menu that delineates what is in every item they make so you can check to make sure you can have the item - very helpful! My favorites of what we ordered were: BBQ buns, all of the dumplings--pan fried or steamed-- were yummy, and the stir-fried green beans. Many of these were on Happy Hour pricing, which does save you a few dollars. The place was absolutely crowded, so you know it has to be good. The servers worked hard to check in with us, bring us our food as it was ready, and helped clear our table so more food could be brought out. The place is really well designed and decorated with unique attributes to the cuisine and culture. Love and can't wait to go back for more. Glad I live and work close to Nana's, as it will become a place I frequent!

10/10 food, service, and ambiance Everything was so yummy and brought me back home to NYC. A bit on the pricey side but the happy hour menu was a good addition. Service was fast and readily available. No complaints here!

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally made my way in last night. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant and sat at a nearby table. The staff here were so friendly and so helpful. We tried the chives and pork dumplings, as well as the soup buns. My husband had a noodle and beef dish, which he really liked. Everything tasted delicious and would definitely like to try more types of buns and dumplings!

The chili sauce chicken dumplings were tasty -- a modification we requested off the menu. That said, the dumplings themselves reminded me a bit of Bibigo-style frozen dumplings in texture. The xiao long bao were decent, but I personally prefer the soup dumplings at Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings. The crab rangoons were a highlight and had actual crab meat, unlike many places that use imitation crab. The Thai pineapple chicken was too sweet and ended up being our least favorite dish. Drinks The Thai iced tea was refreshing. Vegetarian Options They do have vegetarian options on the menu. Service & Ambience Service was quick, and the restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Price Very reasonably priced Overall A good place to try dumplings with a few standout items, especially the crab rangoons.

We loved this restaurant particularly the YuShsn Eggplant and MaPo tofu. We had noticed that the restaurant had changed names and the menu had removed these items a month or so ago and were disappointed. Tonight we were looking to get takeout and noticed the name and old menu had been restored. We were excited to have our favorites again but were quickly disappointed. First when I picked up the food I was told that they did not have a lot of MaPo tofu but that they gave me what they had and gave me a $5 bill back...weird. Then I got home and looked at the food and could tell right away that it was not right. The MaPo tofu had peas and carrots that were obviously from frozen and def not in traditional Chinese MaPo tofu. The eggplant was mostly bell pepper and odd pickled vegetables with very little actual eggplant. The crab cheese wantons were dry and flavorless. We were very upset after spending $50 on food that we could not stomach to finish after a few bites. I threw the food away. I decided to call and request a refund. The new owner was very hostile. I tried to be nice and just said the food was not what we expected and that we could not eat it as it did not taste right that we would like a refund. He raised his voice and was angry and kept insisting the recipes had not changed and asking when was the last time we ate there. He insisted that I drive the food back so he could look at it and maybe he would give a refund. I told him I threw the food away and would not spend another 30 minutes total in the car to drive back there. Even if I was in the wrong, the new owner was insulting and never made any attempt to listen to my concerns. I stated that MaPo tofu does not have peas and carrots. He responded stating "this is traditional Chinese, not Americanized." The man is gaslighting me because I knew this is not true as I have had this dish at other restaurants for years and it never included vegetables. I looked it up apparently ONLY Americanized versions of this dish have peas and carrots. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company for a chargeback. It is completely unacceptable to treat customers this way. Two thumbs down.

Let's start with the jianbing. It's built on a scallion pancake base, which is a bit thicker than the more traditional version I'm used to, but honestly, I'm not mad about it. It's sturdy, flavorful, and generously loaded with steak. This is not a dainty, whisper-thin breakfast crepe. This is a confident, well-fed jianbing that wants you to be happy and full. The pork belly deserves its own moment. Actually, maybe a standing ovation. It's incredibly tender, deeply flavorful, and clearly treated with care. I had it in the spicy noodles and again in a bao bun, and both times it was excellent. Rich without being heavy, indulgent without tipping into too much. Pork belly doing exactly what pork belly is supposed to do. Now let's talk about the mala wings. These wings are spectacular. Like, "what every chicken wing dreams of becoming when it grows up" spectacular. Crispy, bold, numbing in all the right ways, and dangerously addictive. If you order one thing here, make it these. If you don't order these, I gently question your life choices. I also really appreciate MAKfam's unapologetic embrace of MSG. No fear, no fuss, just smart, thoughtful use of an ingredient that exists to make food delicious. And guess what? It works. Everything is savory, balanced, and satisfying without feeling overdone. Bottom line: this is a genuinely fun place to eat. The food has personality, confidence, and heart. Anything cold adds to the buzzing, vibrating energy; pair the flower with a cold cocktail and it's a phenomenal experience! We also had a bottle of white wine - it was to be expected: tasty. We tried the crab rangoons and thought they were a fun snack, although $21 for four rangoons was tough. I could've gone to Panda Express and gotten four for $3.99 and called it a day. Christine and I both had the Miso Sea Bass - easily the crowd favorite. Even though it was light, it was very flavorful with the sauce, mushrooms, and rice included in the meal. It was mostly filling, though charging $64 for that as the main entree is quite a big stretch. The crowd winner was our server, Maddie. She had amazing recommendations, a full understanding of the menu, and was very attentive and personable. Overall, fun experience!
