My daughter tried a sampling of their dumplings at a festival and recommended Nana's for dinner. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entry, and service was great. The restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, and is a great place for a date night. They offer a happy hour menu as well. We ordered: spicy cucumber salad, pan fried thumblings, xlb, spicy chicken soup buns, casian crawfish dumplings, stir fried udon with chicken, shrimp fried rice, Red Sea chili wontons and beef noodle soup. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, definitely ordering more than we could finish...but we happily took the leftovers home and enjoyed them the next morning.
I really enjoyed my experience at Nana's dim sum and dumplings. I ordered cabbage buns, crab rangoons, and a lychee martini. For dessert, I took a matcha cheesecake to go. My husband also ordered a beef dish. The food was reasonably priced, served quickly, and absolutely delicious. Our server gave us excellent and attentive service. I also really liked the check box menu -- it made things very simple and easy! We will definitely be back.
Huge menu with a wide selection of dim sum items, as well Asian fusion dishes. We got the crab rangoon with crab, beef pancake roll, saho mai, fried sesame balls (mini), xiao long soup bun, Chinese broccoli, and an off-menu item (chicken feet). Chicken feet is a huge factor when deciding on eating dim sum for me. They said they had it, but is taking it off the menu eventually due to the demographics. Unfortunately, it tasted old (bad)? We mentioned it to the server. He said it was fresh. No. I know my chicken feet, alright?! Anyways, he said they cannot take it off the bill. Doesn't matter. I ate it anyway--because it was the whole reason we picked dim sum for dinner. Besides that, everything else was good. Decor and vibe were cute.
Wow, I was very impressed with this restaurant and will always come eat here. Last week was Denver restaurant week. My boyfriend wanted to check this place out so he took me so we could both try it for the first time. The restaurant is really well maintained from entry to sitting down. Everything is clean and organized. I really like the decor. It felt like we were in China. Our waitress was really nice and very small. I really liked the fountain wall that is in the entryway. We both chose items on the Denver restaurant week menu. I also chose one of the items off of the Denver restaurant week menu. Everything was delicious. We had the Fried Sesame Balls, Jumbo Crab Rangoons, Red Sea Chili Wontons, Beef Pancake Roll, Xiao Long Soup Bun, Pan Fried Pork Bun and Shao Mai. My favorite dish were the Red Sea Chili Wontons that were so savory. They were extremely slippery to grab with the chopsticks. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were excellent. My guy liked them a lot and ate 4 of the 6. My least favorite were the Fried Sesame Balls because I don't like red bean paste. I will definitely be back time and time again. The food there is delicious and there are so many other items I want to try.
When walking in the double doors the ambiance catches you right away. The service was good, and multiple people came to deliver food. We got a quick run down of the menu and here is what we got: 1. Green Beans: I loved the crispy garlic and such an umami flavor. Whatever sauce they stir fry it in is amazing. 2. Red Chili Wontons: these honestly lacked a lot of flavor. Just felt like wontons and oil and lacked some saltiness. 3. Pork Buns with Crispy Bottom: these were very heavy on the dough. Unfortunately was a miss for us and wished it was less doughy and dense. 4. Spicy Chicken Soup Buns: I loved the flavor and soup. The spiciness definitely has a mini kick. However the red wrapping was a bit thick for my liking. 5. Pork Soup Buns: absolutely delicious, would come back for this! 6. Sesame Balls: for dessert and the red bean filling was chefs kiss. Overall it was a delicious experience, however for 2 people it was a bit on the pricey side. With a 20% tip it was around $120 for all of this. Definitely a splurge and not an everyday place
So after many resistances, my friends and I finally decided to give Nanas a try. I really wanted Nanas to be a traditional dimsum restaurant with carts and stuff because we need more in Colorado. But this is more of soup dumplings and the popular assortment of dimsum dumplings such as har gow. If anyone recommends Nanas as a Ding Tai Fung substitute, they are not your friend. It's an upscale dumpling place. It's definitely on the pricier end of things and you don't get a lot for the cost. It was hard to justify paying $15 for Chinese broccoli. I don't know if the changed things but we went with the Aurora location because the cost was cheaper than some of the Denver locations. Food is okay. It didn't really stand out where I had to come back. My favorite thing we had was the dumpling with sticky rice cause it was different.
Yum! I was craving soup dumplings and have been meaning to try this place. We got Chinese Brocolli, Crab Rangoons, Xiao Long Bao, and BBQ Buns. Everything was delicious and the food came out quick (6 PM on a Sunday). My favorite thing was the soup dumplings. They were so juicy and flavorful. I could have eaten so many of them. Will definitely have to check out happy hour one of these days. There's rangoons were standard, but the sauce that was served with them wasn't like your average sweet and sour sauce. My boyfriend really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for greens, so the broccoli was yummy as well, and a decent amount for the price (we even took some home). The BBQ buns were fluffy and sweet. Not my go to at dim sum, but I enjoyed it: There's a good amount of space and seating, while also being clean. Service was also very kind and quick! Would definitely go here again. Some of the best soup dumplings that I've had in Colorado. Didn't get photos of all the food because I was getting hangry, lol.
Truly an amazing dining experience! This was our first time visiting and it truly did not disappoint! We had a party of 16 and we had not made a reservation. They were so kind to accommodate our large party and gave us amazing food recommendations! We ordered family style and we had the best dining experience ever. All the dishes were on point and we will definitely be going back soon.
I heard great things about Nana's, so I was excited to finally try this place on my recent trip to Denver. Came to Nana's on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 PM and our party of 6 was immediately seated. It was also happy hour, so we got to get a few things from the happy hour menu. We ordered a bunch of items since we were gonna do family style. Everything was really good, but here are the dishes that stuck out: -Hot & sour dumpling soup: We got the soup too, but this one was definitely much better. The dumplings + soup were so tasty together. -Spicy cucumbers: The cucumbers were not soggy at all - there was still crunch. It had a kick to it but it was not too spicy. -Crab rangoons: Probably one of the best crab rangoons that I ever tried. They were huge and definitely packed with all of the crab. It came with sauce, but I feel like it didn't need it. Other ones worth mention are the thumbings and XLB. Definitely a good place to eat at and do family style. The service was excellent and they kept checking on us to make sure we were doing okay. I would 100% recommend this place to folks and visit again!
Yummy food overall, but there are some items that don't necessarily hit the mark. - Favorites: xiao long bao (juicy and skin is not too thick), pan fried potstickers - Would probably order again: beef pancake roll, udon stir fry, stir fry green beans (but this was very salty and the xo sauce was more of a gravy rather than the usual dry fried xo sauce) - would not get again: pan fried pork buns (filling was ok but bun dough was not good), salted egg custard bun (lacking salted egg yolk flavor and honestly any flavor) You can only make reservations for parties of 6+. Staff is very nice. Cute decor inside. Lots of parking in the lot.
This place is all good vibes, friendly staff, but the food is mediocre at best :( It's called Nana's Dim Sum and Dumplings, but I would say the tastiest thing we had was the Chicken Fried Rice and the Stir Fry Green Beans. I have heard good things about this place, but unfortunately, the dumplings were not that up to par..the skin of the shrimp dumplings felt grainy instead of chewy and soft, and it lacked some distinct flavor profiles you would expect with dumplings. All in all, still a great place to check out, but I would stick with non-dumpling items.
We came here to try Nana's Lunch for 2 Special that is offered Monday thru Friday 11AM-2PM for $29.95. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall with free parking. The inside is modern & comfortable with traditional Chinese touches. The place features a beautiful water display & a window into the kitchen where you could see the cooks. Service was good & very attentive. There are six locations on the Front Range & one in NY, with more locations to come. From the Lunch Special menu you order one per category. We ordered Veggie Egg Rolls for the appetizer, Pork & Mushroom Dumplings & Chicken LoMein. We each had a small plate with chopsticks...the dishes are to be shared. The first dish brought to the table was the Chicken LoMein. This dish was good but it needed more chicken & the portion was on the smaller size. The next dish were the dumplings. We had them fried, you order them either fried or steamed. This was my favorite dish. The dumplings were delightful - crispy & flavorful, stuffed full of pork & mushrooms. Last to arrive to the table were the egg rolls. These were nice & crunchy & quite enjoyable as well. I'm eager to return to try more dumplings, they have many different fillings to choose from.
Delicious! I've only had a couple of tastes of Nana's dumplings at a couple of YELP events, but going here for a meal was a fantastic treat. We went during their Happy Hour, so make sure to check their hours of operation as they do have a mid-day break on the weekdays. I was with a large group (yes, 6 or more is a large group and they will add in gratuity to your bill FYI), so we ordered a smattering of many tasty things off their menu. Worried about allergies? They have a menu that delineates what is in every item they make so you can check to make sure you can have the item - very helpful! My favorites of what we ordered were: BBQ buns, all of the dumplings--pan fried or steamed-- were yummy, and the stir-fried green beans. Many of these were on Happy Hour pricing, which does save you a few dollars. The place was absolutely crowded, so you know it has to be good. The servers worked hard to check in with us, bring us our food as it was ready, and helped clear our table so more food could be brought out. The place is really well designed and decorated with unique attributes to the cuisine and culture. Love and can't wait to go back for more. Glad I live and work close to Nana's, as it will become a place I frequent!

Great Chinese dumpling spot! We visited during weekday lunch and were seated right away. The atmosphere was calm and chic, making for a really pleasant dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly--piping hot, just as it should be. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. My personal favorite was the Firecracker dish--fried jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and imitation crab, paired with a really tasty sauce. My husband loved the shu mai. We'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu! read more

Came here for a birthday dinner and had some great seats that fit 10 people. The food was very tasty, great for sharing and trying lot of items. I was very impressed especially at the rate the food came out, it was timed very well and never got to crowded with plates or sparse for the big group. Also loved that they gave the birthday girl a nice fan as a gift. From the service to the fun decor we had a nice time. The price does seem a bit high for certain items but I do think it is one of the better dim sum spots in colorado. Overall 4/5 stars. read more
Ok stopped in here for the first time and it was good but could have used some improvements such as better tasting chicken and not fatty pieces The green beans were absolutely amazing with the flavor and taste Would stop in again read more

I have tried several times to visit Nana's Dim Sum at their original location on Tejon St in the Highlands but kept seeing long lines or wait times. I go past this location when coming from church. They opened at 12 noon. I arrived at 1215pm, they were already 1/2 full. My server, Princess P gave me a mark able menu (there was a grease pen in it's own little holder on the table). She said they have the full menu with photos. The place setting includes chopsticks, a soup spoon and a cute napkin. I got jasmine green tea in a stoneware pot. There was enough for 2 1/2 mugs. My first food was the Red Sea Chili Wontons. Well stuffed wontons with lots of chili oil. I added more chili oil from the condiments jar. Next was their Xiao Long Bao Buns. These were very hot. I asked Princess how to pick them up. She said to use the chopsticks to nudge them onto the soup spoon, then slurp. Worked well. I was planning to get their Mapo Tofu, but Princess said it comes in the same size bowl as the wontons, so large quantity for next time. I got the Pork Spareribs and fried Sesame Balls. The Spareribs were misleading. No actual ribs but actually chopped up. Very little meat with bone & gristle. It was too hot to pick up with my fingers. I told Princess. The Sesame Balls were excellent. Princess came back and said kitchen was planning to remove them from the menu soon. read more

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally made my way in last night. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant and sat at a nearby table. The staff here were so friendly and so helpful. We tried the chives and pork dumplings, as well as the soup buns. My husband had a noodle and beef dish, which he really liked. Everything tasted delicious and would definitely like to try more types of buns and dumplings! read more

Came to Nana's for lunch with some friends. The location was cute, well decorated, and clean. Lots of parking in the parking lot too! Our server was friendly and food came out very quickly! Speaking of food, I wish I took photos but everyone devoured everything so quick there wasn't time! (What a great problem to have!) I've heard a lot of hype around Nana's and I was excited to finally stop in and try it myself, and the hype is real! Can't wait to visit again. read more
We went here after going to Daiso cause I've heard good things about it and that it's comparable to Din Tai Fung. We went when they opened at 12pm and man did this place fill up quickly. Within 15 mins, all the tables were full. The front counter and door situation could've been handled better. It was cramped and crowded with people filling in and they were a little slow in seating people sincd it got crowded real quickly but we did get seated within 5 mins. The interior is nice, clean, and modern. Definitely enjoyed the vine they were going for. We got sat in the corner next to a pole so I think it was easy to overlook us but thankfully it didn't take super long to try to flag our server down. Our server was super nice and explained everything for us and said the prices on the menu weren't accurate and to scan the QR code to see pictures with the correct pricing which is weird since they give you a menu regardless but not a big deal. We ordered Xiao long bao $11.95, pan fried pork buns $14.95, pan fried thumblings $12.95, honey chicken feet $6.95, and chicken lomein $17.95. The dim sum items are made fresh to order so the lomein came out first. The lomein had good flavor but I feel like the sauce didn't stick to the spaghetti noodles that well and it was pretty oily. Also for $18 for 1 protein only, it's pretty pricey considering other fast food Chinese restaurants offer combo lomein for that price. Pan fried pork buns had good flavor but the fried dough reminded me too much of a shortbread so I got tired of it after 2 buns. The chicken feet were okay. Not for me since there's too many bones for me to enjoy it. The pan fried thumblings were so cute and also really good. The filling was delicious and the wrapper had a good balance of crisp and softness if that makes sense. The xiao long bao also had good flavor but 3 of them broke so they didn't have soup in them :( I'm not a fan of Xiao long bao for real cause it's usually all soft and the filling is meh but I kept reaching for these. TLDR: Overall pretty good. I did enjoy this MUCH more than Din Tai Fung (I think they are meh at best and very overhyped). I enjoyed the lomein and the thumblings the most. Dishes are pricey and some are pretty oily though. Would recommend! read more

The hubs and I were hungry so we perused and I wanted to go to a place we have never been. We were greeted instantly and because it was a tad busy, we were told we would be seated in 10 minutes. We were seated within 5 minutes and our server explained how to order. I must have surprised her with my appetite and ability to eat because after glancing over our order form, she stated that it would be a lot of food. Yes, we ordered a lot and had some leftovers to take home but our server was impressed at how much I could eat and stated we did better than she thought. I love trying everything so naturally, I ordered everything and not one dish disappointed. It was all so tasty and delicious! read more
I've always had a fantastic experience at Nana's , and this visit was no exception. From the decor to the service to the food, everything was elite. If you haven't been, make your way to @denver80238 for some fantastic dim sum and dumplings! What I tried: Jumbo Crab Rangoons (with extra crab meat because is there any other way?) Szechuan Chicken Stir-fried Green Beans Xia Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) Spicy Chicken Soup Dumplings Pan-fried Pork Buns Salted Egg Custard Buns Lychee Dynasty - Herradura Silver Tequila, lychee, grapefruit, lime Ume Blossom - Haku Vodka, plum, lemon, jasmine infusion Best Bites: Those stir-fried green beans?! Probably my favorite green bean dish ever ever ever. Garlicky, salty, perfectly cooked...WOW. The Salted Egg Custard Bun was an absolute delight. I'd never had one before, and I was in awe from the oozing egg, the balance of saltiness and sweetness... such a perfect bite. And of course, you can't go to nana's without trying their Jumbo Crab Rangoons which are easily in my top three ever. Real crab meat, extra crab meat, perfectly fried wrappers, and the best dipping sauce. Perfection. If you haven't been yet, get yourself there ASAP and, bring me some Salted Egg Custard Buns, Crab Rangoons, Stir-fried Green Beans... actually, just one of everything. read more
I've been meaning to check this place out and it truly lived up to my expectations. We were able to get a table for 2 pretty easily on a Wednesday evening. Our service was also sweet and explained to us how everything worked as it is similar to a dim sum order sheet place. We got the Oolong Old Fashioned and the Lychee Dynasty. The Old Fashioned was strong as one should be. The Lychee Dynasty was fine, the tequila was very dominant in the drink. The food was spectacular. My favorites were the dumplings! The Spicy Chicken Soup Dumplings were fantastic and savory with a kick. The Lork & Mushrooms dumplings were pan-fired as chosen by us and it was perfectly crispy. The filling was fantastic. I think it's in the restaurant's name for a reason. The dumplings were a standout. The Cabbage buns were fine. The buns were so soft and fluffy on the inside. I think this is a personal preference. I think the filling didn't really feel right for the soft buns, but the flavor was good. We also got the Honey Chicken feet. They were succulent and had a little heat to them! The Braised beef was good, would be so good paired with rice. Overall, I will definitely give this place another visit to try some more delicious dumplings! read more
I visited on 8/19 for a togo order because they close at 2:30pm to get ready for the next shift. Understanding i was planning on eating in my car so i ordered Spicy chicken soup dumpling and Shrimp Dumplings. I thought the Restaurant looked beautiful. I was a little disappointed in the shrimp dumplings because it was literally a piece of shrimp inside a wrapper no seasoning. I did use the chili oil but it wasn't spicy (also wasn't told what sauce I had so I thought by look that they were all chili oil). The spicy chicken soup dumpling were also pretty bland and not spicy BUT still good. I would order them again. I would not get the shrimp dumplings again tho. I will try them again but need to go dine in. read more
Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings was a treat! The place was packed on a Sunday at 7:00 pm which was pretty shocking to see. This restaurant is beautiful inside, they did a great job on that. There is a beautiful waterfall when you walk in. To start, we ordered the crab rangoons and the spicy cucumber salad. I enjoyed both of these dishes. The crab comes separate from the crab rangoons, but I liked that. My friend wasn't the biggest fan of the cucumbers, but I thought they were good and fresh. Now for our meal, we got the bok choy buns, which were DELICIOUS! Truly unique, and I loved them. We got the fried pork and chive dumplings, which were pretty good - although they didn't stand out to me. My favorite dish was the fried vegetable dumplings, they were super good. The filling was just like an egg roll (minus the meat). The bill was around $80 for two people, but we got to take some food home and we each got a beer. I will be back, just wasn't thrilled with the prices. read more
I had many a sample of Nana's at YES events, but this was my first time visiting the restaurant. I went with a group of six, and Nana's did not disappoint. Nana's serves family style, and they have an allergen menu since one of our members had a fish allergy. Service was friendly and attentive. They tried to keep our table clear as the many dishes kept arriving throughout our stay. The Aurora location has HH from 4-6 (note: they don't open until 4:30) with drinks and food specials. We tried an array of dishes, but the highlights for me were the stir-fried green beans, fire crackers, and Xio Long Soup buns. They do add a 20% gratuity for large parties. read more

Walking in to the restaurant is welcoming and warm. We had great service ALL THREE times we went while in Denver on vacation. The food is served ala carte, can comes out as it is finished so you enjoy it hit. The portions are large enough to share up to 4 people. Staff was attentive and always ensuring you were satisfied with the food and service. We highly recommend and will definitely go back when we are back in Denver. read more

Would love to dine here in person - it seems super family friendly and you can watch them make dumplings through the glass window into the kitchen! Staff were super friendly when I went in with my infant for a to-go order and it was ready faster than they quoted us which is always nice. My little one approved of the Xiao Long soup buns and I loved the spring rolls read more
Very positive dining experience at Nana's. As a lover of Dim Sum, I appreciated the good selection of dishes (brought to you freshly made - no carts), friendly service, and extremely clean dining area. Prices were higher than some other dim sum places I've been to, but not over the top expensive. Food was an B+, Service an A, and cleanliness an A+. read more

Nanas is a definite hit, and the closest to DTF in Colorado! They opened their new location Aurora and just a 5 minute drive from my house makes it a luxury if I want good and consistent dimsum! Price: it is on the higher side, but I think portions make up for it. Dumplings: their Xiao long baos were amazing and so flavorful! The pork filling was delightful and piping hot so be careful! The Thumblings which are like deepfried xiaolaong bao are actually my favorite! Their spicy chicken is amazing too, very similar to Chongqing chicken, it's spicy savory and salty! Pairs well with their shrimp fried rice which comes with huge pieces of shrimp! They also offer many vegetarian options and my fiance loves them all. Their fried veggie dumplings were flavorful, you can taste the mushrooms really well and the blend of veggies were great. The veggie baos were surprisingly good, the baos are soft and bouncy. Overall atmosphere and service is top notch and is in my rotation for dim sum in the Denver area. It's one of the best in the state I must say. read more
