I used to go to bronze a while back before they were AYCE and I finally got to try it after they changed it and I absolutely loved it! The skewers were so good, especially the shrimp and steak ones, I could probably eat 10 of those alone. I got the tom yum soup base and it was perfectly tangy, they have a large selection of sauces, and everything was high quality! We got a ton of veggies and sides and honestly this spot is up there for me when it comes to hot pot in Colorado. They service was quick and It wasn't too busy on a Tuesday around 5 pm but I heard the weekends can reach up to two hours for the wait. read more

A Denver local told me this is one of the best hot pots in the city. There was a line and 75-minute wait time at dinner on a Monday night. The lobby area was big enough to hold some groups, but you can also wait elsewhere because they text you when the table is ready. The all-you-can-eat hot pot is $29.99 per adult. You get individual pots, so you can choose your own soup. They have a limited selection of meats, veggies, skewers, and frozen seafood that is included in the AYCE. Appetizers, drinks (including alcohol), and desserts are a separate charge and on a separate menu. They give you a piece of paper to mark what you want and how many orders. It didn't exactly match the menu, and it didn't list the skewers. Meat quality was not too bad. I liked the beef brisket, fresh tofu, and lotus root. The shrimp skewers were the best of the skewers. They were all seasoned well. Be prepared to leave with the smell on your clothes and hair. I've been to the bronze empire twice now and I love love love the way they do hot pot. Each person gets their own personal stove with their own personal broth. You otherwise order things as a group. I love the lamb and the variety of mushrooms that the have. I got the tom yum pot the first time which was delicious. I got the authentic spicy pot but vegetarian the second time which was yummy but I may not go back to that one! Their old hours are super convenient for a late time dinner sesh and a great place to go to for birthdays! The servers are super attentive and additional orders of food always come out promptly. read more

Good service, lots of parking, and pretty clean restaurant for an AYCE spot. I got the bone broth soup which was light in flavor and not super salty. They accommodated our large group of 11 which was pretty impressive. The sauce bar also had good options and was filled when items were running low. I liked that the skewers came with the AYCE options since it gives a good alternative if you don't want boiled meat. Overall a pretty solid hot pot spot and probably one of the favorite spots I ate at while visiting! read more

This has to be one of my absolute favorite hot pot spots in Denver. The Bronze Empire delivers every time -- from the rich, flavorful broths to the wide variety of add-ins like corn, spam, fish cakes, and of course, all the high-quality meats (think pork belly, Wagyu, ribeye). Everything is fresh, delicious, and makes the experience so fun. Hot pot is basically my love language once the weather turns chilly, and this place hits the spot perfectly. This is a lower priced hot pot. You can taste it in the low quality of soup broth and meat. Don't know if we went on a bad night, but it was inedible for us. We couldn't finish our first round. We paid and left hungry. read more

I heard about this spot, and since it's right by my new office, I had to check it out with my wife after work. It's tucked away in a small shopping center, so parking can be a bit tricky. The vibe is modern and lively. When we arrived at 6 PM, it wasn't too crowded, but we were seated at a tiny table for two. We asked to move to a bigger table, but that request was turned down. No big deal, so we went ahead and ordered our usual. This place doesn't have as much seafood as others, but they do offer skewers! The lamb skewer was amazing--rich in flavor! Everything came out super quickly and was really fresh compared to other all-you-can-eat hot pot places. Plus, their meat portions were thicker than what I've seen elsewhere. I wanted to go to Bronze Empire for a long time now and once I heard they switched to AYCE, I had to try it! I was sooooo happy with our experience. It has proven itself to be one of the best AYCE hot pots in Denver. We were seated right away and our server was quick to take our order and super quick with new orders for food. I love all of the base options. I went with the chicken broth one. I think next time I'll try the miso pot. The brisket was the best beef and cooked fast and tasted delicious. I love the scooper that they give you. Helps when you lose things inside. That happens a lot at other places and you can scoop it out or find it hidden under other things. I like how they cut the corn on the cob so it isn't too big. Over great place and I cannot wait to go back. read more

Great price for good quality meat but the broth could use more flavor. Also the skewers were over seasoned and not worth ordering. Our server was great and knowledgeable of the menu, but unfortunately many of the other servers seemed lost and we had the wrong orders delivered to our table several times. read more

Come try this if you like simple ingredients for your ayce hot pot with quality meats! Was craving soup n meat after a long hike. The tom yum base was delicious , doesn't taste like the typical tom yum powder soup. Ayce skewers were so good ~ we got lamb, chicken thigh, and beef. Other skewers were gifs to but just breaded differently. Beef tongue and usda meats were good quality for the price ($30/pp for a sat weekend) service was friendly but make sure to order a good amount of portions if your eat alot because each serving is quite small. No wait time at 8 pm but restaurant was popping. Would come to eat again! read more

After a long 12 mile hike in the cold rain, what better way to replenish your body than Hot Pot! Not only does this place have hot pot but they also have bbq and fried skewers! Surprisingly the music was a hit too. I was very surprised by the quality of the food at Bronze Empire. I found the all you can eat extremely affordable which includes the ayce skewers as well. My favorite skewers were the beef and chicken. The beef tongue was very fresh, my girlfriend loved it! Our waiter was extremely attentive. You can order by filling out a sheet of paper with all the menu items or you can tell the waiter directly. Definitely plan on coming again next time I'm in Denver. read more

The Bronze Empire, to my memory, was one of the first if not the first hot pot restaurants that came to Colorado. I am not very familiar with hot pot and what constitutes authenticity for it, but I have been told from multiple friends that they are the real deal. I think I remember them not being an AYCE place a while back but they are now! The service here was great. Even though they were very busy, we were seated quickly and never had to wait on anything. They were also very knowledgable regarding everything on their menu, which is huge, and they made sure to let us know about cook time and how to enjoy everything the best we could. Great job wait staff! The food was also top notch. All the meat and vegetables we ordered tasted fresh and great. They also have multiple types of skewers that were cooked perfectly. The sauce station had a great variety of sauces and toppings too with recommendations on combinations. I would highly recommend getting their passionfruit drink. So good! Great all-you-can-eat hot pot spot with really good quality beef. Chinese new year-themed environment with warm colors and Chinese posters, for Chinese natives, feels like home. For Americans, would be a great experience if you wanted to try traditional dishes from China. What stood out the most was the service, the staff were super friendly and attentive the whole time. When we had a small issue, they handled it immediately and with a very sincere attitude, which honestly made the experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about customers. I really wish Yelp will let me do half stars because I'll give The Bronze Empire a solid 3.5. Food: The broth I had (I think it's chicken with fish maw) was very bland. Don't taste like anything, and I had to add a bunch of salt to make it tasty. Their kobe beef was good, but pork was a-ok. Veggies are fine, but everything was kinda expensive. Service: This is why I wanted to bump them into 3.5 stars. Service was good, attentive, nothing to complain about. Ambiance: Relatively clean Chinese restaurant. I've learned a long ago to not expect a nice ambiance if I want to eat Chinese food, lol So with that expectation, this place actually seemed pretty clean. read more

Never used to come here when it was a la carte but this is now my favorite hot pot restaurant. Be mindful they only serve dinner to my knowledge but they're open at 4PM. Really love the option of beef tongue as a meat selection and skewers on the menu, those 2 options really set them apart for me from other hot pot places. The broths are pretty typical, the sauce station clean, the service was great and speedy. We usually come here right at 4PM so there is no wait. Always left with full belly. They also catered to our non spice/pork eating friends so that was really nice they were able to help us with their diet needs. Definitely top of my list right now for hot pot in Denver! read more

There was initially a miscommunication between my party and I being put on the waitlist versus a reservation so we ended up waiting an extra hour to be seated at a table. Besides that, food was ample and the quality isn't too shabby. So glad they're busier now with the transition to an AYCE model that includes skewers. Their soup bases have always been tasty & ingredients fresh. It was just super pricey to be paying $6 for a couple ounces of veggies. Now that they're AYCE, you're definitely getting your $$ worth. They don't do BBQ so it's not smoky at all. We didn't smell like a restaurant when we got home. We'll have to put this in our regular rotation. read more

On an informational note, the website does not really describe the process. What we ordered was delivered to the table, cooked in the hot pot sauce. That part was very fun and engaging. You either like the pot sauce you pick or your don't. The spices are good, just different than what you expect. One of our party just didn't like the cooking sauce. Me, I can roll with different flavors/spices. So I gave it a 4.5, that person gave it a 2.0 If you like the sauce description, you will like the experience. If you can't handle a different taste or smell here or there, not for you. The meats, vegetables and noodles mean you can mix and match according to your taste. read more

10/10 experience!!!! $30 for AYCE hot pot? Say less. What really sets Bronze Empire apart is that grilled skewers are included in the AYCE, which makes for a perfect appetizer! They have a full bar and gave me a nice hefty pour of sake, which I certainly appreciated. The service was top notch, fast, and eager to keep our table clear. Nice place to chow down. I think most people come here for the hot pots. They also have a selection of non-hot pot dishes. For the hot pot, you select the broth base, then select any additions (meats, vegetables, etc). When they come out, you basically cook it in your individual pot. It's a fun experience, especially if you've never done it before. Each addition costs money, but they can range from a few dollars to more expensive. It's a good way to create your own meal. The service is very good, very attentive. Also, if you're ever confused they do a good job of explaining the process. Also, they offer free refills of the broth. read more

Overall: Standard AYCE hot pot place. What sets them apart are their skewers, but I don't know that I would go out of my way to come here. Food: Lamb skewers were our favorite thing of the meal - great seasoning. Tom yum broth was tasty. The spicy broth had a layer of oil on top which my friend did not enjoy. I thought their meat was slightly higher quality than other ayce hot pot places. Their other items are comparable to other places although Old Town's fuzhou fish balls are better. Service: Friendly and attentive staff. There was no wait for a party of 2 on an early Friday night although the restaurant did seem to approach capacity around 6:30pm. You can make a reservation for parties of 4 or more. Other: Lots of free parking in the plaza. Your first round is marked with pencil on their paper menu but each subsequent round is just verbally asking your server to put additional orders in. The table for 2 feels pretty small but it works out just fine since they have a 3-tier tray to set your hot pot items on. $30 as of 11/2024 which is about the same as other similar places. My dipping sauce recipe at the DIY sauce station: 2 tsp sugar, 1/2 ladle soy sauce, 1/3 ladle black vinegar, 1/2 ladle sacha, 1/2 ladle sesame tahini, 1 tsp minced garlic, chili crisps optional but highly recommended read more

We actually got the recommendation for this place from our tattoo artist. We were in town for a music festival and really wanted some hot pot. We pretty much get hot pot in every city we visit. This place is definitely in our top 3! The food was fresh, delicious, fast and good portions. The service was great. They had. A lot of choose from. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the tables have individual hot pot stations which is not what I'm used to- this works well for those that don't want to share! We had the vegetarian mushroom broth and the miso broth with fired tofu, shrimp, lotus root, ramen noodles and fry bread. The sauces that you get to choose are on their own station. Went to try their all you can eat. Price: $30 per person. Waited for 20 minutes for a table of 2. We ordered the Authentic Spicy soup base and the Authentic Sichuan soup base, but we didn't notice much of a difference between the 2 soup base. Each meat order came in 8 slices and the other dishes came in about 4 pieces. What makes this place different than other hot pot is their skewers. Each skewer comes in 1 piece only so would recommend ordering a few at a time. Also the food presentation makes it more appetizing. However, service was pretty slow. Didn't refill water or the soup. They did have a full house. They ran out of the lamb skewers and clams by 8pm. The lanterns added a nice vibe. read more

The vibe was nice. The food was ok. The service was worse. That being said, DO NOT come here. If you do, good luck, I hope it's better for you. When we got to the restaurant the host was incredibly, however, she seemed a little inexperienced--my friend and I overheard that she was training but we saw her alone the majority of the night. The wait time was very long and not worth it. The food was good but not because of the restaurant but because it's hot pot. Hot Pot is always good, but the food was very bland and lacked identity. I could get Hot pot anywhere else. The skewers were amazing and the only dish that made up for anything. Shout out to the kitchen staff Our server, Alice, was awful. She didn't provide any silverware or water. She took our order and that was the last we saw of her until it was time for us to pay. She was annoyed that we were there, it seemed and made us feel as a burden when we asked questions about the menu. And when she answered she wasn't great at explaining. Our bussers and food runners were the only people who talked to us or brought us anything. Shout out to them, they were incredibly kind and helpful. While they were nice, WE SAW LITERAL COCKROACHES CRAWLING AROUND THE WALLS! This disgusted me and ruined my appetite and destroyed any nice ambiance. I was so excited when I heard bronze empire had switched to the AYCE model of business. Previously, I had only dined here for special occasions and always left very satisfied with food and service but a bit lighter in my pockets. Since they switched to the AYCE, I've tried to come back twice. The first time, the reservation system allowed me to make a reservation for a lunch seating. When my friends and I arrived, we were dismayed to find out they didn't open until hours later for dinner. Bummer, but ok. We went elsewhere and decided to try bronze empire at a later date. The second time, we knew we had to come for dinner. I attempted to make reservations as soon as we set a date and time (months ago), but now the reservation system said it didn't accept reservations for parties smaller than 5. Okayyyy. We arrived and were asked if we had made a reservation. I was confused and stated that I had tried but was unable to do so since we were only a party of 4 and the system would not allow me to do so. The hostess nodded and stated that a/ona reservation, we would have a 40 minute wait. I'm not happy but I'm hungry so we decide to wait. Thirty five minutes later, we are told a table is almost ready. Ten minutes after that, I check in at the hostess stand and they now tell me it would be at least another 30 minutes. What? You just told me a table was about ready for us! Another hostess came to check and confirmed it would be at least another half hour. My friends and I decided we were done waiting because there's only so many mistakes I'm willing to overlook before deciding a business doesn't need MY business. TL;DR: make a reservation. They're only open for dinner. Don't trust the hostess to give an accurate wait time. Bottom line: I'm sticking to Aki and Old Town. Where all the Asian folks go for Chinese hot pot. read more
