    Crab and bacon fried rice
    Aundya A.

Really enjoyed a mid week dinner at Q House with friends to celebrate my birthday. Highly recommend coming here and sharing at least 4 plates with the table. Favorite dish was the crab and bacon fried rice Bandito (diayame shochu, plantation pineapple rum, aperol, lime, tamarind puree, habenero) CHICKEN & SHRIMP WONTONS IN CHILI OIL (schmaltz, chicken skin crumbles, cilantro) ASPARAGUS & GREEN BEANS (poached egg, boldog peppers, dried shrimp, chili jam) CRAB & BACON FRIED RICE (lump crabmeal, nouse-smoked bacon, corn, egg) SWEET & SOUR PORK SPARERIBS (cider vinegar, fish sauce, herbs, garlic, chili, peanuts) Sesame balls (jujube, peanut, tamarind, chocolate)

Excellent service, flavorful food and casual ambiance - perfect meal setting! Started with a few drinks, I got the bandino - it was a recommendation by our server and I loved it! I'm def going to try to recreate. We decided to get wings - that's typically not we would order, we usually do a only wings dinner but decided to give it a try based on the rave reviews - so glad that we listened to them. The dipping sauce is on par with expectations - you have to try it. We also got the twice cooked pork - portion size is huge and among the two of us with these two dishes, we still had to get a doggy bag. We got the coconut cheesecake with pandan cream - a bit dense but not your usual cheesecake for sure. All in all, good experience at this Michelin recommended restaurant. Recommended

Salt & Pepper head-on shrimp, delicious & slight numbing from schezwan peppercorns. Eeat the actual shrimp heads which has the best flavor

My second time going and I've tried most things on the menu as I go with groups and we ordered family style (meaning we order 4-6 dishes for the table). I really like this place for their unique offerings such as the beef tongue and tripe with numbing oil and the salt & pepper head-on shrimp (make sure to eat the shrimp heads, its the best part!!), both which are insanely delicious. Other favorites are the fingerling potato and Chinese cauliflower and twice cooked pork belly. You have a good selection of sake and decent cocktails too. If you're not afraid of trying unique and more authentic dishes this is definitely a place for you!

The skinny: fun vibes, yummy cocktails and Asian/asian american tapas, friendly service. The drinks: they had fun with the drinks! We got the white collar crime, no aloebi, and a pumbaa colada. The white collar and no aloebi were the stand out drinks -- nicely balanced and refreshing. The pumbaa colada is a fun one that comes in a pig tiki-esque mug. The food: We ordered a variety of items -- beef tongue & tripe with numbing chili oil, friend chinese eggplant, boy choy, chong qing chicken, and the twice-cooked pork belly. The beef tongue was delicious - a little more mild than ones you would get from a traditional restaurant with a slight numbing that didn't leave you sweating. A good introduction into yummy szhechuan food. The chong qing chicken was our favorite - perfectly fried, salty deliciousness. Don't let the peppers fool you - its not spicy. Bonus is that they fry the chicken skin too. Pork belly was good but wish it would have been a little more tender. The eggplant and bok choi were solid but nothing that blew me away. Would I come back? Yes! This is a cute spot and I love a good asian fusion spot with solid food and cocktails.

Finally tried out this place!! Ordered takeout around 5pm and everything was prepped pretty quickly and very thoughtfully packed (sauces in containers for adding when ready to eat etc.) --beef tongue and tripe (colloquially known as fuqi feipian, or couple's beef tripe +/- other meat like tendon). This is doused in a rich mala oil (2/5 spicy, slighty numbing) and paired with fresh shaved celery and jicama for crunch --chicken wings, def not too salty, and a crisp small-crumbed coating. Meat was tender, and the tomatillo ginger sauce was fun --fun fact: they carry a lactose "velvet" IPA from 4 Noses (strawb banana) which tastes like a fizzy milkshake, would recommend!

This was truly an superb dining experience. A true fusion of Chinese and Taiwanese flavors reminiscent of trips to Asia. This is definitely a plate sharing experience, perfect to allow you to try a little or a lot of everything. Shrimp Fried Rice - succulent shrimp with fresh English Peas, extremely fresh. Sweet and Sour Spareribs - definitely acid forward with the vinegar. The combination of garlic, chili and fresh herbs was just so perfectly balanced. The meat was tender, falling off the bones. High fat content, but expectedly so with spareribs. Wontons in Chili oil - perfect balance of heat and acid. It is served in a sauce that is so delightful, I hear people often reserve the sauce for their rice later. Chong Qing Chicken - no lie, this dish came with as much pepper as it did chicken. So hot, but also so delicious one can not stop eating Oreo Cheesecake - perfect rich desert to calm the senses after such a rich and flavorful and at times spicy meal. The food was perfectly executed. 4 stars instead of 5 as service was spotty and frankly the dishes are too big for the tiny tables. There is not enough room to eat comfortably with 2 items on the table and one of the dishes landed in my lap.

We went here for a friend's birthday with a party of 12. From the start, the staff was super attentive and did a great job waiting on our table. We divided our ordering into two groups so each half of the table got 4-6 dishes to share. Our table got the chicken wings, wontons, fried eggplant, cauliflower the duck lo mein and shrimp fried rice. My absolute favorites were the eggplant and duck lo mein. The dishes were sizeable and more than enough to share among six people. Servers kept making sure our water was constantly full without being overbearing or nagging. I wanted to take leftovers home but ended up eating the last of the eggplant and shrimp fried rice - too good!! Would 10/10 come back for a nice birthday dinner and great service.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. This has to be one of the top 5 meals I've had in Denver. A few friends and I picked up take out & we were more than pleased. Everything we had was 10/10 even at home. We can't wait to go and enjoy everything fresh and in the nice environment of Q House next time. Items listed in order - most favorite at the top: Duck Lo Mein - easily the crowd's favorite - so flavorful, the duck was perfect & a nice portion. Wok fried cheung fun - most underrated thing we ordered - really surprised us with how different but delicious it was Pork fried rice - so much flavor & delicious meat Fried chicken wings - the crispiest, most tender wings paired with a good sauce I was only sad that we couldn't get the wontons to go. They said they do not do take out wontons because they do not travel well. I was very disappointed but just means I will have to go in and dine to try them. Can't wait to be back.

Went here for a date night with my boyfriend. Restaurant itself was slightly busy for just having opened but there were still quite a few tables available. Definitely would book a reservation in advance just in case they are busy if you plan to visit. The place was very clean and small yet simple and service was kind and quick. We were quite hungry and ordered 4 dishes just to try the menu. First item we got were the chicken shrimp wontons which were great, loved them so much and even my boyfriend liked them which he dislikes seafood so that says a lot. By far fav item on the menu! Second item was the warm sesame noodles which honestly had a very strong peanut taste but I did enjoy the mixture of peanut and fresh cucumber. I was a bit underwhelmed by the sesame noodles, we didn't finish the whole plate just because it just wasn't our taste. Third dish was the twice cooked pork belly which was super yummy, loved how thinly sliced it was and the flavor of the meat and veggies along with the sauce was great, I think I'd name this my most favorite dish of the night. Fourth dish was the sweet and sour pork ribs which were an interesting twist on ribs and they were good as well, I'd call it my 3rd fav dish of the night. Overall the place was clean and food was quick, appreciated that each dish was brought out at different times which allowed you to enjoy the taste of the current dish without your next dish waiting to be eaten. I think everyone should visit this place if you want some stepped up Chinese food. I'm only giving it 4 stars not because there's not necessarily anything wrong with the place but the food just personally isn't something I'd crave over and over again in short periods of times plus the prices of each dish is a little hiked up for the portion. Nonetheless, I think everyone should visit at least once to try some of their other dishes and explore the whole menu

Solid Chinese spot near city park on Colfax Ave. Modern menu options and the flavors are there and not too heavy. I hate it when Chinese food tastes too salty and bloating, but Qs have it on lock. Perfect portions and you don't feel like shiitake after. Staff is extremely friendly and the inside has a hipstery vibe to it. Definitely doesn't seem like a Chinese joint when you walk in but that's okay. I'd give it a 5 but I think the overall flavors could pop just a little bit more. That being said, I will be coming back!

Wow wow wow - amazing Chinese food. Some of the best I've ever had. The brisket Lo Mein was amazing and best dish I had the entire trip. Service and ambiance were good too.

Came here to celebrate my law school graduation with a few friends about an hour and a half before they closed on a Thursday. They make great drinks, shareable-sized food, and have upbeat music. It's also very clean inside. In terms of food, I think it's a bit more Americanized because many undertones in flavor are hoisin, sesame, or soy sauce. However, that being said, I enjoyed the dishes. I didn't get to take a photo of everything (got too hungry lol) but we ordered 8 or 9 dishes and my absolute favorite was the duck noodles. It was simply delicious and I would return just for that. But I would also return because it's a fun place to hang out with friends l. Prices are reasonable. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant. Great place!

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

The heat was also moderate, but it did have a kick as you were eating it. That signature mala numbing spiciness started building, but not hot enough for my palate. Green beans were also nice and tender. Sometimes when they come out the fryer, the skin can be a little leathery, but wasn't present here. BBQ Buns were very soft and tender, loaded with BBQ pork. Only miss was the shrimp dumplings. They were too close to each other and they stuck together. The wrapper was also overcooked, but somehow the shrimp was not. Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.
