Cool looking place with an outdoor eating area. The only initial concern was that I had to pay before my food arrived, and was also asked to provide a tip at that time w/o receiving food or service. You can guess what my initial thought was. The Thai tea was amazing! I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp. The portion was small considering the cost + $3.00 to add the four shrimp. The noodles were very good, but it seemed that the shrimp were just placed on top with no seasoning at all. Chada Thai was one of my standbys during the pandemic. Luckily for the city park, north cap hill, and uptown neighborhoods, it survived the pandemic and remains an excellent option for Thai! The restaurant used to have more emphasis on the dine-in aspect of service- offering traditional dine in experience, but since Covid it is largely takeout business. Dine-in remains an option- just order and take a seat. Seating area is fairly small but also includes an outdoor patio space! Atmosphere and interior is dated, but homey, warm, low thrills, casual. Parking is largely limited to street parking. My favorite food is definitely the pad see ew with beef, medium spice. Great depth of flavor, decent portion size, great noodle and broccoli texture, and perfect spice at the medium level for me! Also recommend the pad Thai- again, positive remarks and authentic (at least based on my limited knowledge of Thai cuisine). Food is very consistent based on years of "research." Service- orders usually are ready in 15-30 minutes, sometimes longer if busy. Staff are friendly and have always got orders accurate. This is a restaurant that you order first then grab a seat. There were some new dishes listed and I decided to try the Kra Pow Pad Thai. We also ordered a pad kee mao, khao soi and pad see ew. I must say the kra pow pad Thai was phenomenal. It was so savory and spicy (I went with medium) and I enjoyed each bite. I do not care for pad Thai much because it's too sweet to me. The kra pow pad Thai is the flavors of kra pow but using pad Thai noodles. That combo is the best. Give it a try if you are in the area. Food came quickly and it was hot so you know it was freshly made. The khao soi was really good too. As for the pad kee mao and pad see ew, I felt that it tastes the same here, even though it shouldn't. It tastes fine but definitely the kra pow pad Thai stole the show. read more

One of the best pad Thai's I've ever had. Sometimes , pad Thai comes out dry. Not theirs. It's juicy and the noodles have good bite. Try their dumplings ! The chef makes them herself and they run out some nights. Theres no alcoholic beverage menu but there is a stocked bar so ask them to mix something. Cute inside but the patio was especially nice. The restaurant is on a small block with only a French restaurant and a cafe next to it. As well as a liquor store lol. It's in a more residential area so parking is easy. read more

Met some work colleagues here on a very quiet Thursday for lunch. Maybe Chada Thai has been paying attention to some of the Yelp reviews. Our service was great. We didn't wait long and everyone's order came out with 15-20 minutes. I ordered the Thai curry with chicken and now that I'm familiar with their spicy scale, will move up to "spicy/hot" from medium. I could've easily had another bowl. The place itself had a few tables and was super cute. Kudos for the improvements. I hope they're around to stay as we'll be back. read more

Living in the area I love this place. The place is in walking distance and the food is amazing and consistent which is the biggest thing for me. Chada Thai is a quaint little restaurant with a delightful outdoor patio. I chose this place for dinner since a friend and I were seeing a show nearby at Bluebird Theater. And frankly, who doesn't love Thai food? Part of the reason for my overall rating boils down to what other reviews mentioned: you might wait awhile. In no way does this take away from our server, who was polite and knowledgeable. But the poor guy was the only person working the front of house. The restaurant wasn't packed by any means, but with the few four tops inside, the outdoor patio, and answering phone calls at the front counter, there's only so much he could do. As for the food, I went with their Thai Curry. I usually stick with Panang, but I literally had it the night before. There were big chunks of vegetables, thinly-sliced chicken and a mellow broth which paired well with the rice. In my opinion, it could have used something to kickstart it into second gear though. I believe the humble abode has more in their arsenal. All I can comment on is my in-person dining experience. If you're not in a hurry, Chada Thai might be the Thai restaurant for you. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was here! We ordered some Pad Thai for take out and I was super pleased with the quality of the food. The one thing that was different about the Pad Thai was thinner noodles, which I've never seen before. The noodles tended to clump together a little more but it wasn't too much of an issue. Prices are pretty good, especially for lunch and on par with other Thai restaurants in the area for dinner. Pick up was pretty easy to navigate, the staff will send a text when your order is ready which means your food will still be nice and warm by the time you drive it home. They have some staff at the doorway ready to hand you your food. It's pretty quick and efficient with no one parked in front of the restaurant. Chada Thai's been around for 40+ years or so. It was opened back in the 70's at the corner of Logan and 20th where Coperta's now is. It was good then and it's still good all these years later. They were out of Thai Dumplings, which apparently people came for, so will have to try them. The Thai wontons were amazing! Very tasty with and without the sauce. And the fried tofu, divine! This place is so excellent! The staff was friendly, prompt and super helpful. We had some questions about what was best and they pointed us in the right direction. The intimate atmosphere was inviting, cozy and a great place to have a beer! The food was exquisite and had a really nice traditional flavor that I feel like is missing in a lot of the Thai food in Denver. I can't stress enough how good the food is! And they were great about the spice level as well. The larp was especially good and made me feel like I was hanging by the Mekong. Good food, but not great. We shared the vegetable curry 'puff' which was pleasant. It was disappointingly served with Chinese style sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard. Better with the little dish of cucumber "salad" we ordered. This cucumber sauce/salad is what many places serve curry puffs with anyway so it was an improvement, as well as an up charge. I ordered drunken noodles mild-medium spice and it had no heat at all. I also found it a little on the bland side over all and not a very hearty portion with almost no accompanying veggies. I came here just for the pad kee mao since the pictures made it look pan fried/browned and very deep in flavor. Mine arrived pale and had no smoky hint or depth of flavor. Also it was sadly devoid of any Thai basil. My husband ordered pad Thai and it arrived with no lime. I thought it's flavor was better than my pad kee mao and usually I'm not a fan of pad Thai. His dish had very little chicken in it which was disappointing for the price. Interestingly, after our app and entrees we were both still hungry but decided to get a snack later. I can't think of many times that's happened to us, usually we have leftover food at Thai restaurants, so that's a clue on portion size. Service was pretty iffy. Polite and friendly but...Mostly absent. Drinks took a while and came super watered down, no one checked in while we dined on apps or entrees. Another table had to get up to ask for things and so did we a couple times. We wouldn't visit again probably because there are just so many other Thai places we love or would like to try. read more

Visited for the first time post-pandemic. Totally awesome food! I had the Thai red curry with chicken and my companion had the Pad Phet, which is spicy eggplant. We ordered medium heat, which came out flavorful but not overwhelmingly hot, next time I might go one level spicier, but this is not a complaint as we both loved our dish. However, I did not like the Mango with Sticky Rice that I got for dessert - while the mango was sweet and ripe, the sticky rice seemed to be overcooked and was hard. The main reason for the three stars is due to the extremely slow service.
