Delicious, soupy, flavorful, and toppings packed Pad Thai! We all know Pad Thai is on a restaurant's menu as a litmus test for the quality available. I'm happy to report that Mon Thai withstood the test! Not only are the prices fair, but also the portions. I ordered the beef pad Thai for pickup, and was incredibly pleased. The beef wasn't terribly dry like I usually expect, the noodles are perfectly marinated in that sweet sauce, and the vegetables are PACKED to the brim. Really the only issue with this order is that the container is SO FULL that you need to scoop a portion out into a separate bowl instead of just diving right in. The interior seemed casual and quaint, it being a workday afternoon there wasn't many other patrons, so I imagine dining in would be a delight! I'll have to try this spot again :) read more

I visited during lunch and the owner said it was quieter than usual bc of the weather. I was able to sit right away and ordered. Had some work to do and there is wifi available as well. The Thai tea was a great addition to my meal. I added chicken to the L34 (vegetable combo entree) for an extra $1.50. The service was speedy, but after you receive your meal, they do not come to check on you and if you need any extras, there is a shelf for napkins, condiments, to go containers, etc). I'm not sure why it was bright orange but it was it also had about half of the container filled with carrots legitimately the wildest thing I've ever seen as I eat a lot of pad Thai when traveling I would probably not recommend the pad Thai for this now the consistency if it actually had the flavor was fantastic, but lacking in chicken And again overrun with carrots about half the container under the noodles read more

One of my favorite places I went to while in Denver! It's a nice Thai restaurant and conveniently located. There was a lot of available seating when we went and the restaurant itself a simple but elegant. For the price you pay, you get a lot of food - definitely your money's worth. Their menu had a boat noodle soup availabe it written instead of printed on their menu and it's listed not on their website so I think it's a newly added dish. I was super excited to see this - most other Thai places in the area don't offer it. The soup was excellent: delicious, flavorable broth, an ample amount of noodles and meat, and beef that isn't too dry. If you're looking for a good boat noodle soup, this dish is it. If you've never had boat noodle, this is a great introduction. I ordered mine with the maximum spice - decently spicy, especially for Denver, but it's not going to be a crazy, almost too much spice. If you like spicy, I'd recommend going to maximum spice. I ordered boba with my Thai iced tea and the boba was excellent: perfectly cooked, not too mushy or hard. The iced tea was also excellent. A friend got the Thai fried rice and was also very happy with the flavors. The rice is an extremely large portion so you get a decent amount of leftovers to take home as well! The service is great - extremely inviting and helpful with menu options. They also did not rush us and our food came out quickly. Also, the gentleman who helped me at the counter was almost too friendly. The only possible complaint I could make is that parking was very difficult. I ended up having to park a few blocks away. Mon Thai is my new favorite place to eat after working out down the street. Plenty of seating inside, and service is so fast. I was hungry so I got the Green Tea Leaves Salad, as well as Tom Yum Soup (with fish) all to myself. That and I couldn't decide on one between the two. Both dishes were fresh, delicious, and filling. Spice level 2 to 3 was perfect. Would get either again and try some rice and noodle dishes next time. And get boba. Ugh, so many options! We had a great experience at Mon Thai. We were greeted with friendly and helpful service. Our server remembered us from previous visits and welcomed us by name. We each ordered different entrees and they all had great flavors, mixing textures of sautéed meat with crunchy veggies. Each of the entrees were big enough portions for sharing. I especially liked the Green Tea Leaves Salad which was made with green tea leaves, tomatoes, and mixed nuts nestled over a bed of cabbage. It was pleasantly fresh and light. I also ordered the Tom Yum Noodles Soup. The noodles, chicken and bean sprouts were served in a rich, red broth that was perfect for the cold weather. For being such a large portion I liked that it was still a light, healthy dish. They played instrumental Thai music which we all enjoyed listening to. The spring rolls (especially the peanut sauce) were tasty. We didn't love the pad Thai the night we were eating it as there wad not a ton of flavor, but it tasted great the next morning as leftovers after the flavors marinated a bit more. The massaman had nice flavor, but not a super strong flavor, and the potatoes were quite sour. We ordered medium spice and found ourselves wishing we had gone up a bit in spice, as the medium was pretty mild. Overall, decent food, decent portions, and decent prices. Parking is a bit sparse around the area, especially given construction, but the restaurant itself was empty. Staff was very friendly and good amount of seating inside The overall taste was just ok. Not sure why the pad Thai was so orange. Nothing particularly good or bad about this place but given there are so many Thai restaurants in Denver, this meal was pretty forgettable. Very authentic make sure you ask for medium or light spice because their medium is pretty hot. We started off with the their dumplings that really are almost like shumai. Its stuffed with chicken and it's so good! Then ordered drunken noodles and let me tell you something. Make sure your brining an appetite. The plates are HUGE. So much good food. I really enjoyed Mon Thai and am thrilled to have a thai restaurant so close! I visited on a Thursday evening to dine in and the restaurant was mostly empty, about three other tables during our visit. The service was super quick and our waitress was very helpful, especially in deciding the heat level (we went with 2 out of 6 and it was perfect, slightly spicy but not overpowering). We ordered the veggie gyoza to start and really enjoyed it. For our entrees, we split the shrimp drunken noodles and tofu panang curry. Everything was super tasty and fresh! The drunken noodles were my favorite. The entrees were also beautifully plated. I will definitely be back at Mon Thai soon and hope more people come to visit! read more

The service was great & very quick. We had a minor snag with something we ordered, and it was quickly resolved and the server was apologetic. Stopped by for take out and was greeted by the owner with the biggest smile. It kinda made my day how big he smiled and how friendly he was. I ordered 2 green curries, extra rice and chicken larb. All food I ordered was spicy level 2. I called in my order and in the time it took me to drive from downtown, the food was ready. The larb with chicken was my favorite. The perfect mix of spicy and salty, with tons of flavor. I devoured this quickly and it was really hard to leave some for my partner. I would have personally ordered a spicy level 3 with this, but I was sharing, so level 2 it was. However, level 2 was a bit on the spicy side for my partner. If you like less spicy, order level 1. The two green curries were both with extra meat. One was beef and the other duck. The duck had great flavor and was tender. The beef was good, equivalent to other Thai restaurants. I did feel like the curry was under salted, but my preference is on the saltier side, so I simply added a bit more salt. The curry also had a bit more sweetness than I would like, but adding it over rice and adding some salt did balance it out. I do feel like the value for the large curry with extra meat is excellent. The curry had a lot of meat and veggies. Some Thai places I've ordered from really skimp on the meat, but this place does not. The value is so good and you do get a ton of meat. Definitely two meals worth of curry for my partner and I. Overall tasty food, great value on the portions and they have duck as a meat option (which is not common in the Denver area). I was super excited to try Mon Thai for pick-up on Sunday night, however - on average - disappointed. Lychee Boba Tea: This was more icy than a slushy from 7-Eleven, which was the basic texture. Every time I sipped, I had brain freeze. Not enjoyable. Worse? The boba was too large for the straw, and there wasn't the normal amount of boba, as in most bubble teas. Definitely won't order again. Beef Pad-See-Ew: Way too oily, and the noodles weren't the right texture. The beef was also way too tough, and poor quality. Don't recommend. Chicken Panang Curry: By contrast, this was actually delicious! Highly recommend. Not sure how everything else I ordered was terrible, but they hit the nail on the head with this curry. Do recommend. Would order again. Mon Thai is a mixed bag, in that the Panang Curry was yummy, but 2 out of 3 items in my order were not good. Come here & decide yourself. read more

Food: 3-4 stars. Spicy!! They have a 1-6 spice level with 3 being "hot." I ordered the pumpkin curry as a 1, and my boyfriend got duck shrimp drunken noodles as a 1 - both were as spicy as our friend's level 4. It was odd for sure. The tofu pumpkin curry was delicious even though it was spicy. The menu is comprehensive and has a ton of options. However, there are a ton of grammar errors, which makes it hard to know what you'll pay. Case in point: menu says something about shrimp and duck being $4 but it was EACH was $4 not $4 for both. So my bf's drunken noodles were $8 more. This is annoying since it wasn't clear. They were slammed otherwise we would've talked to them. The service was decent (2-4 stars) but it was super busy on a first Friday. Our water was never refilled but the food came out rather quickly. The location: it's loud and open, but they did fit a lot of tables in there without it feeling crammed. Although I ordered it mild, it was heavily laden with something that left an aftertaste of black pepper. The shrimp yielded too easily to a fork, seeming soggy. I'm so happy I found Mon Thai! It opened 5 days ago and was PACKED because of First Friday in Santa Fe arts district. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and was so excited about the spot! And he should be because the food was wonderful. We wanted to try a little bit of every appetizer so we got the Monkey mix with egg rolls, gyoza, spring rolls, and crab Rangoon. The dipping sauces were so flavorful and complimented the apps perfectly. We wanted a veg forward dish and the egg plant was just that. So many fresh veggies in a garlicky sauce with some rice... what's better? And lastly we had pad see ew. Delicious! Portions are big and great for sharing and you get so much food for the price.
