We stumbled upon this place as we were walking around Santa Fe and so glad we did :) the food was delicious and came out so so quickly! The crab cheese wontons were the best I've ever had, they're a must try. The service was great and I'm impressed by how smoothly everything was ran since they don't have a ton of staff. The vibes are also great for a casual date night spot or a place to go with family. Lots of seating options
Delicious, soupy, flavorful, and toppings packed Pad Thai! We all know Pad Thai is on a restaurant's menu as a litmus test for the quality available. I'm happy to report that Mon Thai withstood the test! Not only are the prices fair, but also the portions. I ordered the beef pad Thai for pickup, and was incredibly pleased. The beef wasn't terribly dry like I usually expect, the noodles are perfectly marinated in that sweet sauce, and the vegetables are PACKED to the brim. Really the only issue with this order is that the container is SO FULL that you need to scoop a portion out into a separate bowl instead of just diving right in. The interior seemed casual and quaint, it being a workday afternoon there wasn't many other patrons, so I imagine dining in would be a delight! I'll have to try this spot again :)
It's hard to find Thai places that have nom tok boat noodle soup or kha soy curry noodle soup so when I saw this place had both, I had to go! I ordered the nom tok noodle soup and the portion was huge! I had a lot to take home. It was so tasty and comforting, I loved it. I will be back with my partner to try their other soups and entrees.
My partner and I love this place! The food is delightful and we haven't had a dish we didn't like. The crab wontons are unlike any other and one order is never enough. The staff are so kind and friendly. They accommodated a food allergy without fuss. And the price is great.
Good spot for a yummy meal! The food was fresh and full of flavor. Love when places have Lunch Specials and Mon Thai does. I visited during lunch and the owner said it was quieter than usual bc of the weather. I was able to sit right away and ordered. Had some work to do and there is wifi available as well. The Thai tea was a great addition to my meal. I added chicken to the L34 (vegetable combo entree) for an extra $1.50. The service was speedy, but after you receive your meal, they do not come to check on you and if you need any extras, there is a shelf for napkins, condiments, to go containers, etc). Parking along Santa Fe is always tricky, but there are spots to parallel park. Would suggest this place to others if they need a good Thai spot.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Picked up take out panang curry. My order was hot and ready when I arrived. The curry was excellent! The inside of the restaurant is nice. Also, the gentleman who helped me at the counter was almost too friendly. The only possible complaint I could make is that parking was very difficult. I ended up having to park a few blocks away. Not a huge deal, and that is part of having a restaurant on Santa Fe. The walk was totally worth it, just plan on some extra time to get into the resturaunt. Great spot, I will be back!
I ordered the pad Thai it was not great. I opened it. It was a bright orange color. I'm not sure why it was bright orange but it was it also had about half of the container filled with carrots legitimately the wildest thing I've ever seen as I eat a lot of pad Thai when traveling I would probably not recommend the pad Thai for this now the consistency if it actually had the flavor was fantastic, but lacking in chicken And again overrun with carrots about half the container under the noodles
One of my favorite places I went to while in Denver! It's a nice Thai restaurant and conveniently located. There was a lot of available seating when we went and the restaurant itself a simple but elegant. For the price you pay, you get a lot of food - definitely your money's worth. Their menu had a boat noodle soup availabe it written instead of printed on their menu and it's listed not on their website so I think it's a newly added dish. I was super excited to see this - most other Thai places in the area don't offer it. The soup was excellent: delicious, flavorable broth, an ample amount of noodles and meat, and beef that isn't too dry. If you're looking for a good boat noodle soup, this dish is it. If you've never had boat noodle, this is a great introduction. I ordered mine with the maximum spice - decently spicy, especially for Denver, but it's not going to be a crazy, almost too much spice. If you like spicy, I'd recommend going to maximum spice. I ordered boba with my Thai iced tea and the boba was excellent: perfectly cooked, not too mushy or hard. The iced tea was also excellent. A friend got the Thai fried rice and was also very happy with the flavors. The rice is an extremely large portion so you get a decent amount of leftovers to take home as well! The service is great - extremely inviting and helpful with menu options. They also did not rush us and our food came out quickly. Overall, I was very happy with my experience here - if I'm in Denver again, I'd happily return.
Mon Thai is my new favorite place to eat after working out down the street. Plenty of seating inside, and service is so fast. I was hungry so I got the Green Tea Leaves Salad, as well as Tom Yum Soup (with fish) all to myself. That and I couldn't decide on one between the two. Both dishes were fresh, delicious, and filling. Spice level 2 to 3 was perfect. Would get either again and try some rice and noodle dishes next time. And get boba. Ugh, so many options! Parking per usual can be challenging on Santa Fe but totally worthwhile.
First off, the owner is super sweet. When you first come in, he addresses you as friend and it just feels very welcoming and inviting like you're eating at your friends. It wasn't too busy when we were here. There are lots of tables and plenty of seating. It's right on Santa Fe so parking can be difficult. There are spicy levels and 3 is considered hot. My friend and I both ordered the beef pad Thai but at different spice levels. They mixed up our plates so I ended up getting a level 6. It was flavorful but way too spicy for my tongue. The Thai iced tea was really good. But yeah just be careful. Probably to be safe, order a 2.
You can have a feast here with a singular dish and a cup of water! Wow! The flavors here pop, sing and everything else! We were immediately welcomed by our host/waiter and we got the vibe like chatting with a long time friend. Super laid back vibe with a small cafe feel. Service is quick, thorough and down to earth. Water and drinks were always full and service with a smile was always present! I am thinking about my drunken noodles and how awesome my leftovers are going to be tomorrow. Medium Thai spice is equal to American hot so keep that I mind. My noodles were cut to perfect lengths and had so much flavor in each bite. I always hunt for THE bite. How can each bite THE bite?! Spicy, hot (temperature), and fresh ingredients made my dish such a perfect meal today! Drop by for the hospitality. Drop by for the food. Drop by for the neighborhood! Drop by for everything. Mon Thai is a force behind authentic and yummy Thai food! I'm ordering more on my return trip. This place is awesome!
We had a great experience at Mon Thai. We were greeted with friendly and helpful service. Our server remembered us from previous visits and welcomed us by name. We each ordered different entrees and they all had great flavors, mixing textures of sautéed meat with crunchy veggies. Each of the entrees were big enough portions for sharing. I especially liked the Green Tea Leaves Salad which was made with green tea leaves, tomatoes, and mixed nuts nestled over a bed of cabbage. It was pleasantly fresh and light. I also ordered the Tom Yum Noodles Soup. The noodles, chicken and bean sprouts were served in a rich, red broth that was perfect for the cold weather. For being such a large portion I liked that it was still a light, healthy dish. They played instrumental Thai music which we all enjoyed listening to. They have so many options to choose from and something for everyone. Dishes offer the option to choose between meats and seafood or vegetables. Much appreciated to be treated so kindly at a restaurant that also serves up fantastic and flavorful meals.
An unassuming little restaurant boast flavorful food with personal service. Mon Thai makes a great Green Curry. The heat was spot on to the rating I chose. My friend enjoyed her Larb salad. The service was friendly and fast. Great place for lunch while visiting downtown.

3.5/5 We ordered enough food to conduct a fairly thorough investigation: egg rolls, crab rangoons, beef pad thai, chicken fried rice, drunken noodles, and pad see ew. The chicken fried rice was a clear win at an 8.5/10. The pad see ew was also really good and probably my favorite. The pad thai arrived a shade of orange previously unknown to science, but against all odds, it was actually pretty good. 7/10. The drunken noodles were okay, although the noodles felt a little undercooked to me. Crab rangoons were a respectable 6/10. The egg rolls arrived cold and extremely oily. They tasted good, but spiritually they had been through something. Portions were VERY generous for the price, so no complaints there. The restaurant was cute and they had the Zara Larsson dolphin artwork, which I personally consider an important cultural contribution. It was also incredibly loud inside. Not music loud, just the collective power of approximately 50 people all having something important to say at once. Service started off impressively fast. Getting the check, however, became a long-term goal. At some point I accepted that I lived there now. Parking on a Friday night was an act of psychological warfare, but I did choose to go out on a Friday, so I have nobody to blame but myself and perhaps urban planning. Overall, good food, huge portions, and a few standouts, but nothing life-changing. Glad I tried it. Would I come back? Maybe. Would I battle Friday night parking to do it? The investigation remains ongoing. read more
Cute little Thai place. Thought the curry was super flavorful and everything had a good amount of spice. The food came out super quick and was a huge portion for the really good price. I might opt for takeout next time since the ambiance is a little ehh inside but will definitely be coming back read more

3.5/5 I popped in for take out and got: tofu spring rolls, chicken pad Thai, chicken massaman curry. Our food was ready very quickly and the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly nice! The spring rolls (especially the peanut sauce) were tasty. We didn't love the pad Thai the night we were eating it as there wad not a ton of flavor, but it tasted great the next morning as leftovers after the flavors marinated a bit more. The massaman had nice flavor, but not a super strong flavor, and the potatoes were quite sour. We ordered medium spice and found ourselves wishing we had gone up a bit in spice, as the medium was pretty mild. Overall, decent food, decent portions, and decent prices. I'd give Mon Thai another shot! read more

Thai place west of Denver Health. This has been recommended to me by a couple people. Ordered take out lunch on a weekday, 15ish min to be ready. Parking is a bit sparse around the area, especially given construction, but the restaurant itself was empty. Staff was very friendly and good amount of seating inside The overall taste was just ok. Not sure why the pad Thai was so orange. Nothing particularly good or bad about this place but given there are so many Thai restaurants in Denver, this meal was pretty forgettable. Decent potion sizes for price I'm sure I will return here again but would not go out of my way to read more

After trying many Thai restaurants this one remains my favorite. The food is always so yummy and the service is always great - we're always given a free iced tea and it makes my day every time. Definitely recommend the pad thai and rice soup :) read more
Very authentic make sure you ask for medium or light spice because their medium is pretty hot. We started off with the their dumplings that really are almost like shumai. Its stuffed with chicken and it's so good! Then ordered drunken noodles and let me tell you something. Make sure your brining an appetite. The plates are HUGE. So much good food. Followed by the yum woon sea salad that has tomatoes that are brined with a hint of spice with Vietnamese glass noodles. So incredibly flavorful Owner is very kind and service is great. Great calm ambiance with music on. Definitely a must try my top Thai restaurant in the city read more

I really enjoyed Mon Thai and am thrilled to have a thai restaurant so close! I visited on a Thursday evening to dine in and the restaurant was mostly empty, about three other tables during our visit. The service was super quick and our waitress was very helpful, especially in deciding the heat level (we went with 2 out of 6 and it was perfect, slightly spicy but not overpowering). We ordered the veggie gyoza to start and really enjoyed it. For our entrees, we split the shrimp drunken noodles and tofu panang curry. Everything was super tasty and fresh! The drunken noodles were my favorite. The entrees were also beautifully plated. I will definitely be back at Mon Thai soon and hope more people come to visit! read more

finally got the chance to come into the restaurant after ordering online so many times, and I'm so glad I did! the food was amazing as always - I ordered Panang curry and veggie gyozas. The service was great & very quick. We had a minor snag with something we ordered, and it was quickly resolved and the server was apologetic. The inside has a lot of seating, but is minimal on decor, etc. I do recommend they turn the music down a little bit! read more

Quality meal on Easter! We got the sausage appetizer, which comes with sliced ginger, cashews and cabbage. Pictures here of Chicken Drunken noodles (3 spice level) and Massaman vegetable Curry (3). I could have gone spicier, but the 3 is the safe zone. I'd compare it to a usual 2 at other Thai places. Next time I will order a 4 or 5. read more

Stopped by for take out and was greeted by the owner with the biggest smile. It kinda made my day how big he smiled and how friendly he was. I ordered 2 green curries, extra rice and chicken larb. All food I ordered was spicy level 2. I called in my order and in the time it took me to drive from downtown, the food was ready. The larb with chicken was my favorite. The perfect mix of spicy and salty, with tons of flavor. I devoured this quickly and it was really hard to leave some for my partner. I would have personally ordered a spicy level 3 with this, but I was sharing, so level 2 it was. However, level 2 was a bit on the spicy side for my partner. If you like less spicy, order level 1. The two green curries were both with extra meat. One was beef and the other duck. The duck had great flavor and was tender. The beef was good, equivalent to other Thai restaurants. I did feel like the curry was under salted, but my preference is on the saltier side, so I simply added a bit more salt. The curry also had a bit more sweetness than I would like, but adding it over rice and adding some salt did balance it out. I do feel like the value for the large curry with extra meat is excellent. The curry had a lot of meat and veggies. Some Thai places I've ordered from really skimp on the meat, but this place does not. The value is so good and you do get a ton of meat. Definitely two meals worth of curry for my partner and I. Overall tasty food, great value on the portions and they have duck as a meat option (which is not common in the Denver area). I will definitely be back. read more

Food: 3-4 stars. Spicy!! They have a 1-6 spice level with 3 being "hot." I ordered the pumpkin curry as a 1, and my boyfriend got duck shrimp drunken noodles as a 1 - both were as spicy as our friend's level 4. It was odd for sure. The tofu pumpkin curry was delicious even though it was spicy. The menu is comprehensive and has a ton of options. However, there are a ton of grammar errors, which makes it hard to know what you'll pay. Case in point: menu says something about shrimp and duck being $4 but it was EACH was $4 not $4 for both. So my bf's drunken noodles were $8 more. This is annoying since it wasn't clear. They were slammed otherwise we would've talked to them. The service was decent (2-4 stars) but it was super busy on a first Friday. Our water was never refilled but the food came out rather quickly. The location: it's loud and open, but they did fit a lot of tables in there without it feeling crammed. I'll definitely try this place again but be aware of the spice level and protein prices for different choices. read more
