Solid noodle joint! Definitely make reservations or plan to get here right at opening to ensure you get a seat. It is very cute and cozy inside, great for date night or meeting up with friends. Starting off, the small plate cucumbers were a great start to the meal as a fresh bite. Next up was the raw tuna plate. The tuna was wrapped in cucumber, great presentation and tasty bite. For the ramen, I got the Wagyu Brisket Shoyu and my husband got the Deathwish. The Deathwish wasn't too spicy, as a mild spice person, I could probably eat the whole bowl but I just added a few scoops of the spicy broth into the shoyu and it was fine ha! The Wagyu Brisket Shoyu was one of the best bowls of ramen I've had in Denver (yes better than Uncle). Deep flavor, not creamy as I don't generally favor the tonkatsu creamy broth, but still rich, big pieces of Wagyu. Egg was perfectly jammy, not too runny. I would never order take out from Glo Noodle House again. Terrible. First, the kitchen was 15 minutes late with my order. When I arrived there on time, I could see my order was waiting on the shelf. However, the hostess told me it was missing one item, an appetizer and she'd bring it to me once the kitchen finished everything. That took 15 minutes. Second, by the time I got home to eat the meal it was cold. Of course, it had been sitting for at least 15 minutes and then I had a 15-minute drive, so that meant reheating everything. Third, the kitchen was sloppy or just does not care. The plastic containers that should have held the noodle broth were not sealed properly and the liquid spilt inside the paper bag. That meant the chop sticks had to be washed. ...and the containers wiped off before the noodles and broth could be reheated. ...and then I had to get a sponge and towel to go outside to clean off my car seat where the excess broth ended up. Tidbit! Yes, this Michelin-recognized noodle house is sandwiched next to a Comfort Dental. Blink and you'll miss it! Glo sits just off of Tennyson Street, one of my favorite streets for honest, unfussy eating. The room glows -- literally -- bathed in neon light that gives the place the feel of a ramen shop that exists somewhere between a true Tokyo side street and a well-loved local haunt. It is loud in the way that good restaurants are loud: full tables, people leaning in, bowls being set down with purpose. My friend and I did not talk much. We slurped our bowls of ramen, one spicy (Deathwish) and one not (Miso Bacon). That is its own kind of review. I'd come back to try the Mushroom, since it looks like it's truly vegetarian through and through. This place has been on my list for a while. We finally went when my friend came in town! Had an hour wait for 3 on a Friday night. It looks like you could have made reservations online beforehand but we decided to come last minute. The noodles were fantastic. I usually prefer thin noodles and these matched that preference! The noodle texture was great and I really enjoyed my pork mazeman. My mocktail, on the other hand, was very interesting but not particularly tasty to me. I'll say this: it's better than some ramen spots in Colorado, but understandably not on the same level as what you'll find in Japan. I ordered the Deathwish ramen, which had bold chili oil, strong spices, and solid flavor overall. The chashu was well-seasoned and tasty. The noodle texture was good. That said, the onsen egg seemed to be enjoying the "onsen" a little too much--it broke apart very easily. I also found myself wondering: where were the bamboo shoots or additional vegetables? It felt like something was missing. Temperature was another issue. The broth was somewhat tepid on top and only slightly warmer in the middle. I'm not sure why so many ramen spots in Denver serve broth that isn't piping hot--especially during colder months, when you really want that comforting heat. Overall, I'd rate this higher than some of the other viral ramen spots around town, but it still lacks the balance and heat that would make it fully satisfying for me. Advice to any/all future diners....go here to have a solid mindset that this is (as the name says it all) a noodle focused restaurant. I might be one of those who didn't have that so when I came out of it after a very quick dinner with my daughter on a Saturday, I was feeling that my overall appetite wasn't completely satisfied, not because I didn't get to eat enough but because I didn't get to eat the kind of food I had in mind. The menu is sectioned out to 5 different categories (from "small' to "raw" to "tempura" to "skewers" to (last not but least) "noodles". And by far, the "noodles" is the largest section (although the whole menu is not necessarily massive. When I browsed their menu on Yelp (and the photos uploaded by the past diners), my eye got caught on something from the "raw" section or some other section so my focus was more towards that direction, not necessarily the main "noodle" section. At least I had a little bit of a misunderstanding when it came to their food offerings. Well, everything we ordered was good to delicious (the filet skewer with chimichurri was tender. A bit salty to my liking, however. The "tsukune" skewer was also tender and easy to split in the middle. Again, they can definitely use less salt. It was a bit too burned with noticeable blackened parts. They could use less "cooking" on the grill (all skewers are one piece, and the portion sizes are fairly small.) The aburi salmon was quite good. The perfectly "aburi'd" or "seared" I would say, the amount of sear on the outside was simply rightly done to a point where the inside was still raw and not ruined. The spicy tuna crispy rice cakes were good but disappointingly and unnecessarily small. The pork mazemen's noodles were impressively (Japanese way of) al dente. And again, the portion size is okay-ish so that part didn't impress us in any way. Service was good. From the point we were checked in until we left, all workers involved were pleasant and courteous to us. What surprised me was that it wasn't packed although we dined there during the peak time on a beautiful Saturday night. This was the indoor seating (the bar seating had some people but looked quite empty the whole time we were there.) They do have a good-size patio seating, and a good number of tables were occupied (by the time we left around 7pm.) I thought this restaurant was one of the talk-of-the-town restaurants. So yes, we didn't leave the restaurant feeling "very impressed" to be frank. Was it the overall portion size of each dish? Did we have way to high expectations? Not sure. For now, I am giving this place a 4-star rating. One thing I would like to say is that I can see myself dining there again so when I get an opportunity in the future, I will be gladly pay my visit. The restaurant has a fun ambiance with a cool mural. In terms of food, I've had the edamame, spicy eggplant, tofu, mushroom ramen, mochi crepes, and whipped yuzu cheesecake. That covers all of the vegetarian options except for the two vegetarian tempura options (onion rings and mushrooms). It is a little disappointing that out of ten ramen dishes, only one is vegetarian, so I will have to order the same thing every time I visit (the only reason why this is 4 rather than 5 stars). The tofu skewers are amazing but a very small dish, so I suppose I could order it with a bunch of other side dishes to create a meal. Still, the ramen is the main meal. The desserts are amazing and unique. I've had two of the three options on the menu, and I'm not the type of person who usually orders dessert, but I'm so glad I did here. Probably one of the oddest dining experiences I've had in Denver. The Michelin guide led me astray here. While the ramen was pretty good and the vibe trying to give Tokyo style speakeasy vibes. The service was one of the most horrendous - I've experienced today and while he may have been having off day but Dmitri put an utterly bitter taste in our mouths. His rude, condescending tone is not one any one should have to experience when eating a meal out. I've eaten probably 100 plus meals out in Denver over the last few months, hence all the reviews and would rate this a disaster. When we arrived they had at least three two person tables that were open and sat open for twenty minutes. However, we were told the wait for any of these would be 20+ mins. Fine- maybe policy I like to give the benefit of the doubt. However then we were pointed outside and asked if any of the extra umbrellas could be moved so we wouldn't be in the rain and what we got was a laugh. So we ended up at the communal table. We had two questions for Dimitri if the Waygu ramen was undercooked and the deathwish ramen was spicy. He said no to both. Although, when both came out - one was pretty spicy and the other had rareness. Almost felt like he was trolling us. Which is fine- but when we asked about the rareness on the steak he said oh you probably shouldn't eat the bean sprouts they have a high likelyhood of food born illness. Instead of apologizing he approached the situation with hostility. We wanted to order dessert which we ended up doing so- but we were brought the bill prior to being asked if we wanted a dessert. It was almost as if he was the owner of the restaurant trying to kick us out. No apologies just sheer disregard. We're making it a thing to try a new restaurant in Denver once a month and this place was the first stop! Thankfully there were some free 2 hour parking spots nearby so we didn't need to worry about paying for that. We made a reservation for us and our friend (3 total) at 4:15 thinking it might get busy since reservations seemed to be so limited online but it wasn't. We were the first ones there and were still asked if we had a reservation which I thought was funny but it is what it is. We were sat pretty quickly and it stayed pretty empty the entire time we were there (almost an hour total). The place itself is pretty nice. Spacious but also not. We got a table along the wall which had booth sitting and it felt a little squished with the 2 extra chairs. We ordered the $30 ball out appetizer which included 2 skewers, 2 baos, and 2 temaki. We also got the kimchi shoyu ($22), deathwish ($19), and pork mazemen ($18). I only ate the mazemen out of all the noodles as well as part of each skewer and 1 temaki. Once we ordered, the food just kept coming out one after the other which was great cause I was starving. I didn't try the baos but they looked great. The spicy tuna temaki was SO good. It was a great way to start the meal. It was savory and the fried onions on top was a great addition. The chicken breast skewer had good flavor but it was slightly dry. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy too. The mazemen was nutty but more of a sesame flavor than a overpowering peanut flavor. The ground pork was soft and tender which was good cause I typically don't like the ground meat texture anyway. The onsen egg made the sauce nice and creamy and thick so it stuck to the noodles really well. I was tempted to ask them to either steam or take out the bean sprouts cause I don't like the flavor of raw bean sprouts but I gave them to my partner instead. We tried the pork kimchi dumplings, chicken thigh yakitori, death wish and pork & shrimp noodles. Their ramen broths were great and the death wish had a great spice to it. Me and a friend started with the Bubbles drink and my husband got the Fireworks. I liked my drink but I had to keep wiping my lips because of the dill foam, neverthess, it was a good drink. We went one Friday night & had delicious ramen dinners! Glo is a lively little spot tucked away in the neighborhood. It has a cool industrial vibe to it, with music playing in the background. GNH might be the BTS of the Denver Ramen scene... their dishes "light it up like dynamite!" If you're unfamiliar, BTS is a famous K-Pop boy band that sings the 2020 hit song, "Dynamite". Check your spotify or reference your last wedding, you know the song. :D So what was so "Dynamite!", let's break it down... Upon walking in, I felt a "I-I-I'm in the stars tonight, so watch me bring the fire and set the night alight". We got the Deathwish and Miso Bacon... both were "Dy-na-na-na, na-na, na-na-na, na-na-na" and lit our taste buds up "like dynamite!" The broth in both was salty, savory and all kinds of "whoa oh oh"! If you like spicy, Deathwish is for you. If you don't, Miso Bacon. My favorite was the Deathwish. I'd say it was the "I'm diamond, you know I glow up" of the Miso Bacon, because the bowls have the same ingredients excluding their chili sauce (which I found to be a well-balance of spice, tang and delicately sweet). Unsure if that's the best way to describe it. Also it felt pretty heavy after a while and this was me coming in completely famished. Back at home we have a lot of authentic Asian food option so maybe I was just a little bit picky. Overall though I would say it was ok and ultimately did fill me up. We ended up ordering some drinks as well. I settled with a beer but other people in my group ordered some cocktails. I would say the Witch of the Waste was the best out of the bunch. However, we did not enjoy The Taste of Tea whatsoever. For some reason, the blend of matcha and tequila really didn't go well together. It ended up tasting like sniffing burned plastic. All of us only managed to take small sips of it, but we ended up leaving it behind since it just didn't go down well. I will have to say the ambiance of the place is awesome. Love all the decor and theming. Would def rec to check out both bathrooms as one is decorated to be like you're inside an arcade cabinet, while the other looks like you're in a little outdoor market. Really solid ramen! Came for dinner shortly before closing and was able to get orders in 30 minutes before close without any issue. Cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend. I got the death wish which wasn't actually that spicy. But the pork belly was really good and had a nice char on it. Id return to try other items. read more

Ambiance: the restaurant is located adjacent to the old Elitch Gardens carousel. The restaurant is quite small, but cozy. My single criticism is the music. It is hard rock and it is played very loudly. Perhaps that appeals to their typical client, but we found it bothersome. Service: Dimitri our server did a great job. He always appeared just at the moment when we wanted something else. Then he disappeared to let us enjoy what we had ordered. Food: we enjoyed every single item we ordered. The happy hour fireworks cocktail was delicious. The spicy tuna rice cake was wonderful. The chicken thigh skewer was enjoyed along with the Hamachi. We had shrimp and scallop tempura, both very nicely done with a really light batter. The steak skewer was good. The shio lemon chicken Ramen was very unusual and we enjoyed it. We were there for my birthday, so we did get a complementary cheesecake which we happily devoured. Bottom line: aside from the music issue that I mentioned, we thought this place was great.
