Tidbit! Yes, this Michelin-recognized noodle house is sandwiched next to a Comfort Dental. Blink and you'll miss it! Glo sits just off of Tennyson Street, one of my favorite streets for honest, unfussy eating. The room glows -- literally -- bathed in neon light that gives the place the feel of a ramen shop that exists somewhere between a true Tokyo side street and a well-loved local haunt. It is loud in the way that good restaurants are loud: full tables, people leaning in, bowls being set down with purpose. My friend and I did not talk much. We slurped our bowls of ramen, one spicy (Deathwish) and one not (Miso Bacon). That is its own kind of review. I'd come back to try the Mushroom, since it looks like it's truly vegetarian through and through. The staff moved through the packed room with the calm efficiency of people who know exactly what they are doing. They welcomed us without fuss and, when we had lingered at the two-hour mark, let us know gracefully despite the busy, clamouring entrance. Make reservations!
Hidden away in the old Elitch Gardens, this noodle house is so much more than meets the eye. From the outside, you might not expect much... but the moment you step in, it's clear you've stumbled onto something special. I brought my girlfriend here for dinner, and by the end of the night we were both genuinely blown away. We opted for the omakase experience, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions we've made in a long time. Every course felt intentional, balanced, and creative. Nothing was just "good," everything had that extra layer of thought and execution that separates a solid meal from a memorable one. Each dish built on the last, showcasing a range of flavors and techniques that you don't come across often, especially in the Denver area. You can tell there's a real passion behind the menu. The cocktails deserve their own shoutout. They were playful, well-crafted, and unique without being gimmicky. It's exactly what you hope for when you're pairing drinks with a high-level meal. What I appreciated most was how this place manages to hit both ends of the spectrum. You could come here for a casual night out and have an amazing time, or you could treat it as a full-on dining experience and leave completely impressed. That kind of versatility is rare, and they pull it off effortlessly. It's honestly no surprise they've earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand, it's well deserved.
been gluten free for 15+ years. The only ramen I experienced was top ramen and cup of noodles before all the fancy stuff became popular. BUT Glo Noodle opened the doors to the delicious, rich broth, packed with flavor in what is true ramen Super kind staff, quick service, cool vibes. All menu items can be made gluten free !!!
This is a trendy nightlife styled fusion ramen spot that was delicious. The ramen I ordered was touted as spicy and so I got it half spicy just in case, had to take home leftovers as the portion was large and was slightly disappointed by the bacon it included. The broth held up well! The fried chicken bao and the deconstructed cheesecake were also delicious. If you can get a reservation this is a fun spot with friends or catching up with a pal or two.
This place has been on my list for a while. We finally went when my friend came in town! Had an hour wait for 3 on a Friday night. It looks like you could have made reservations online beforehand but we decided to come last minute. The noodles were fantastic. I usually prefer thin noodles and these matched that preference! The noodle texture was great and I really enjoyed my pork mazeman. My mocktail, on the other hand, was very interesting but not particularly tasty to me. If you're looking for something unique to try, I would recommend it. If not, maybe try something else or save your drink money. Service was good. They were friendly! This place is not particularly well lit and definitely has a cool vibe. We sat at the bar.
My friend and I had everything on the happy hour food menu. Absolutely fantastic food and great presentation. Great innovative cocktail list, great sake options and a few beer choices. We must go back for some ramen. Tricky to find the entrance which is facing south on 38th. Look for the Comfort Dental.
One of my all time fave Denver spots. Great service, chill vibe, clean, excellent service, not too loud, best cocktail of my life, perfect food. No negatives. You should go and go back again.
Always a great experience at Glo! My only suggestion would be that I wish they had a standard tonkotsu ramen! PORK & SHRIMP TANTANMEN: Overall, great flavor and not too heavy. Wish it had confit bacon, but still hearty. Perfectly cooked egg as well. DEATHWISH: Great deep flavor and the noodles and confit bacon were cooked perfectly. Quite salty for our preference though. Hamachi: So fresh in quality! I love the pairing with the grapes and Serrano. The white ponzu was also very well balanced. Tuna crispy rice: Maybe the best in Denver... The rice ratio was perfect and was not overly crunchy like most places. And the tuna still shined through. Aburi Salmon: Absolutely loved! They are so generous with the giant salmon pieces. Two sauces came with it, but one of them spilled all over our to-go food. The beige sauce paired nicely with the salmon though.
Really good ramen! I got the miso bacon and it was flavorful and huge. The staff constantly checked in on us. The restaurant is very small with not a lot of seating, so definitely get a reservation ahead of time. The vibe is fun but classy. Parking is easy on the side streets, but the restaurant is a little hidden next to a dentist office so it's a little tucked away and hard to find.
Advice to any/all future diners....go here to have a solid mindset that this is (as the name says it all) a noodle focused restaurant. I might be one of those who didn't have that so when I came out of it after a very quick dinner with my daughter on a Saturday, I was feeling that my overall appetite wasn't completely satisfied, not because I didn't get to eat enough but because I didn't get to eat the kind of food I had in mind. The menu is sectioned out to 5 different categories (from "small' to "raw" to "tempura" to "skewers" to (last not but least) "noodles". And by far, the "noodles" is the largest section (although the whole menu is not necessarily massive. When I browsed their menu on Yelp (and the photos uploaded by the past diners), my eye got caught on something from the "raw" section or some other section so my focus was more towards that direction, not necessarily the main "noodle" section. At least I had a little bit of a misunderstanding when it came to their food offerings. Well, everything we ordered was good to delicious (the filet skewer with chimichurri was tender. A bit salty to my liking, however. The "tsukune" skewer was also tender and easy to split in the middle. Again, they can definitely use less salt. It was a bit too burned with noticeable blackened parts. They could use less "cooking" on the grill (all skewers are one piece, and the portion sizes are fairly small.) The aburi salmon was quite good. The perfectly "aburi'd" or "seared" I would say, the amount of sear on the outside was simply rightly done to a point where the inside was still raw and not ruined. The spicy tuna crispy rice cakes were good but disappointingly and unnecessarily small. The pork mazemen's noodles were impressively (Japanese way of) al dente. And again, the portion size is okay-ish so that part didn't impress us in any way. Service was good. From the point we were checked in until we left, all workers involved were pleasant and courteous to us. What surprised me was that it wasn't packed although we dined there during the peak time on a beautiful Saturday night. This was the indoor seating (the bar seating had some people but looked quite empty the whole time we were there.) They do have a good-size patio seating, and a good number of tables were occupied (by the time we left around 7pm.) I thought this restaurant was one of the talk-of-the-town restaurants. So yes, we didn't leave the restaurant feeling "very impressed" to be frank. Was it the overall portion size of each dish? Did we have way to high expectations? Not sure. For now, I am giving this place a 4-star rating. One thing I would like to say is that I can see myself dining there again so when I get an opportunity in the future, I will be gladly pay my visit. Then I truly hope to have different perspectives.
I heard about this place because it was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin (Congrats!), so we were really excited to try it. The decor and vibe are really fun. They have really neat decorations. The bathrooms are decorated in an arcade game theme. I would say that it's sort of an American izakaya vibe. Their menu is mostly Japanese fusion. We got some of the drinks, several apps, and ramen. There were some twists on classics like edamame (covered in a sticky spicy sauce) and tofu bao, which didn't quite hit the mark for me. The ramen was solid but did not stand out in any way. I may come back if the menu gets a significant refresh or possibly for a happy hour.
Best ramen in Denver! Service is an 11/10 with some of the most delightful people. Ambiance and energy are off the charts, and whoever chooses the music I want to follow you on Spotify. This place should have a Michelin star I swear.
This place has definitely earned its Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. I've been here twice and was very satisfied both times. Service has been excellent and attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has a fun ambiance with a cool mural. In terms of food, I've had the edamame, spicy eggplant, tofu, mushroom ramen, mochi crepes, and whipped yuzu cheesecake. That covers all of the vegetarian options except for the two vegetarian tempura options (onion rings and mushrooms). It is a little disappointing that out of ten ramen dishes, only one is vegetarian, so I will have to order the same thing every time I visit (the only reason why this is 4 rather than 5 stars). The tofu skewers are amazing but a very small dish, so I suppose I could order it with a bunch of other side dishes to create a meal. Still, the ramen is the main meal. The desserts are amazing and unique. I've had two of the three options on the menu, and I'm not the type of person who usually orders dessert, but I'm so glad I did here. The cheesecake (pictured) is unlike any other cheesecake I've had before, and same with the mochi crepes. Try to save room for dessert--it's worth it!

We created a list of ramen restaurants to try in Denver, and GLO Noodle House was at the top of it. We stopped by on a beautiful Wednesday evening and were thrilled to find the perfect patio weather. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was fantastic. We were greeted with a warm smile, seated promptly, and had water at our table right away. Our waitress was attentive without hovering and always seemed to appear at just the right moment. The service was friendly, relaxed, and made the entire evening feel effortless. We started with the edamame and spicy tuna crispy rice. The crispy rice came with three savory bites, and they were absolutely incredible. Honestly, we would happily return to GLO just for that dish alone. For our entrées, we ordered the Death Wish Ramen and the Miso Bacon Ramen. Both bowls were outstanding. The Death Wish Ramen had a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, while the Miso Bacon Ramen was just as delicious and packed with flavor. Each bite was comforting, satisfying, and exactly what we hoped for. Of course, we had to try dessert. The coconut rice pudding with cherry coulis and pineapple granita was delicious, with a wonderful mix of creamy, fruity, and refreshing flavors. It was the perfect way to end the meal. We can't say enough good things about this adorable ramen spot. GLO Noodle House delivered excellent food, wonderful service, and a fun, memorable evening. We'll definitely be back for more ramen--and another order of that spicy tuna crispy rice! read more

I would never order take out from Glo Noodle House again. Terrible. First, the kitchen was 15 minutes late with my order. When I arrived there on time, I could see my order was waiting on the shelf. However, the hostess told me it was missing one item, an appetizer and she'd bring it to me once the kitchen finished everything. That took 15 minutes. Second, by the time I got home to eat the meal it was cold. Of course, it had been sitting for at least 15 minutes and then I had a 15-minute drive, so that meant reheating everything. Third, the kitchen was sloppy or just does not care. The plastic containers that should have held the noodle broth were not sealed properly and the liquid spilt inside the paper bag. That meant the chop sticks had to be washed. ...and the containers wiped off before the noodles and broth could be reheated. ...and then I had to get a sponge and towel to go outside to clean off my car seat where the excess broth ended up. Overall, the food was good, but when I have to spend that much effort -- waiting, reheating, and cleaning up after Glo Noodle House, it is not worth going there again. read more

A friend and I had reservations for dinner and were seated right away. It is a pretty small place, but they also have outdoor seating. The decor is nice. One thing that was kind of annoying is that they sat us right by a big table that had a bunch of kids. Since they knew they were having a big party coming in, it would've been nice to have had the option to sit somewhere else. Our service and food was good though. We started with the edamame and my friend and I each got a noodle bowl and it was pretty filling, so we both took leftovers home. read more
Glo Noodle House has been on my radar this past year, and I really enjoyed my dining experience here. For a Friday night, they were busy but still had room for walkins. Highly recommend everything we ordered off the menu and then some. Probably one of the oddest dining experiences I've had in Denver. The Michelin guide led me astray here. While the ramen was pretty good and the vibe trying to give Tokyo style speakeasy vibes. The service was one of the most horrendous - I've experienced today and while he may have been having off day but Dmitri put an utterly bitter taste in our mouths. His rude, condescending tone is not one any one should have to experience when eating a meal out. I've eaten probably 100 plus meals out in Denver over the last few months, hence all the reviews and would rate this a disaster. It's a shame because this level of nonchalance is in my opinion what can cause a small business to fail over time. When we arrived they had at least three two person tables that were open and sat open for twenty minutes. However, we were told the wait for any of these would be 20+ mins. Fine- maybe policy I like to give the benefit of the doubt. However then we were pointed outside and asked if any of the extra umbrellas could be moved so we wouldn't be in the rain and what we got was a laugh. So we ended up at the communal table. We had two questions for Dimitri if the Waygu ramen was undercooked and the deathwish ramen was spicy. He said no to both. Although, when both came out - one was pretty spicy and the other had rareness. Almost felt like he was trolling us. Which is fine- but when we asked about the rareness on the steak he said oh you probably shouldn't eat the bean sprouts they have a high likelyhood of food born illness. Instead of apologizing he approached the situation with hostility. We wanted to order dessert which we ended up doing so- but we were brought the bill prior to being asked if we wanted a dessert. It was almost as if he was the owner of the restaurant trying to kick us out. No apologies just sheer disregard. In fairness the food is good, but you'd have to pay me to put up with this customer service disaster. read more

I had higher expectations than I should have because this is a Michelin Gourmand restaurant. Overall, food is 3, service is 5= 4 stars. Food: -Overall, the food was too salty and flavorful with the appetizers such as in the skewers. -The mushroom and scallop tempura were standout dishes. -Unfortunately, because of happy hour specials, we ate too many appetizers and did not get to try the ramen, so no comment on that. We're making it a thing to try a new restaurant in Denver once a month and this place was the first stop! Thankfully there were some free 2 hour parking spots nearby so we didn't need to worry about paying for that. We made a reservation for us and our friend (3 total) at 4:15 thinking it might get busy since reservations seemed to be so limited online but it wasn't. We were the first ones there and were still asked if we had a reservation which I thought was funny but it is what it is. We were sat pretty quickly and it stayed pretty empty the entire time we were there (almost an hour total). The place itself is pretty nice. Spacious but also not. We got a table along the wall which had booth sitting and it felt a little squished with the 2 extra chairs. We ordered the $30 ball out appetizer which included 2 skewers, 2 baos, and 2 temaki. We also got the kimchi shoyu ($22), deathwish ($19), and pork mazemen ($18). I only ate the mazemen out of all the noodles as well as part of each skewer and 1 temaki. Once we ordered, the food just kept coming out one after the other which was great cause I was starving. I didn't try the baos but they looked great. The spicy tuna temaki was SO good. It was a great way to start the meal. It was savory and the fried onions on top was a great addition. The chicken breast skewer had good flavor but it was slightly dry. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy too. The mazemen was nutty but more of a sesame flavor than a overpowering peanut flavor. The ground pork was soft and tender which was good cause I typically don't like the ground meat texture anyway. The onsen egg made the sauce nice and creamy and thick so it stuck to the noodles really well. I was tempted to ask them to either steam or take out the bean sprouts cause I don't like the flavor of raw bean sprouts but I gave them to my partner instead. Overall I would definitely recommend this place (already did to my sister and my friend who is planning to come visit soon) and rate it a solid 9/10! read more
I can understand why this spot has a Michelin bib gourmand-it has it all: great food, great service and great ambience. We tried the pork kimchi dumplings, chicken thigh yakitori, death wish and pork & shrimp noodles. Their ramen broths were great and the death wish had a great spice to it. I loved the creaminess of the pork and shrimp one and the noodles were phenomenal. For dessert we tried the yuzu cheesecake and although nothing like a traditional cheesecake, was great. We let the waiter know we were celebrating my birthday and he event brought it out with a candle and comped it. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. Wow. Best ramen my partner and I have ever had. We started with the spicy tuna rice cakes and the tempura scallops. I couldn't choose a favorite they were both spectacular and full of flavor. I got the deathwish ramen. I like spice and it was perfect. It made me sweat and my lips burn just the right amount. My partner had the kimchi shoyu and he loved it as well. I really enjoy ramen during winters and would love to come back again. Service was great, our server had some great recommendations. Me and a friend started with the Bubbles drink and my husband got the Fireworks. I liked my drink but I had to keep wiping my lips because of the dill foam, neverthess, it was a good drink. I personally enjoyed the crispy tuna rice and the pork belly but the miso eggplant stole the show. I think it's a must try imo. For mains, I got the broth less noodles and it was alright, I would have liked some spicy or crunch to it. For desserts, the yuzu cheese cake was really good and very light. Such a great hidden spot off Tennyson! Their happy hour is also so so good with yummy bites not included on their regular menu (temaki, etc). We love sitting at the chefs table bar and ordering as much as we can and taking home leftover ramen! Everything is always amazing and their ramen is top in Denver. First of all shoutout to our server, if they gave medals for serving you would get gold. I loved this spot, whomever did the interior needs to design my next place. I sadly forgot to take a few pictures but I captured the important bits, the skewers and ramen. The skewers were fantastic, mouth watering and oh so tender. Amazing flavor and spice, kudos to the chef. However and this is the reason I knocked off a star, the ramen was just okay. I did the Waygu Shoyu and I was expecting flavortown after the skewers but I only got mehmunicipality. The broth is the most important bit here and it was just.... uninspired. The noodles were a bit hard and not really like the traditional noodles i get. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. i hope to try something else here soon to see maybe if it was just an off day. read more

We went one Friday night & had delicious ramen dinners! Glo is a lively little spot tucked away in the neighborhood. It has a cool industrial vibe to it, with music playing in the background. The restaurant gets pretty busy so I highly recommend making a reservation. There are a number of seating options - you can sit at one of the two bars. At the drink bar you can watch the bartenders make drinks, at the other bar you can watch the chefs prepare meals. There is also a very nice outdoor space with tables & chairs, when the weather is nice. We sat in the inside dining room & were cramped, our wooden table & chairs were quite small & uncomfortable. Side note - check out the awesome bathrooms. One has an arcade theme & the other looks like a bodega, really cute! Our server was great, very attentive & friendly. He even asked us twice if we had food allergies, just to be sure, he said. We had the Wagyu Brisket Shoyu & the Shrimp & Pork Tantanmen Bowls. These are big ramen noodle bowls, enough that we took some home. The brisket bowl was warm & hearty, lots of beef. It had a deep umami flavor. The pork (ground pork) & shrimp bowl was very flavorful too with a little spicy kick to it. It was creamy & had lots of shrimp thru-out. The food was amazing! GNH might be the BTS of the Denver Ramen scene... their dishes "light it up like dynamite!" If you're unfamiliar, BTS is a famous K-Pop boy band that sings the 2020 hit song, "Dynamite". Check your spotify or reference your last wedding, you know the song. :D So what was so "Dynamite!", let's break it down... Upon walking in, I felt a "I-I-I'm in the stars tonight, so watch me bring the fire and set the night alight". They have really vividly colorful murals and lantern lighting from above that gives a "shining through the city with a little funk and soul". If you're thinking about this spot for a date or gathering, I think you can definitely "bring a friend, join the crowd". Anyone would enjoy the very music video-isc vibe. The service was "cha-ching like money" just on it! We were greeted with cool kindness, solid explanations to our questions about the menu and swift refills of our water glasses. We got the Deathwish and Miso Bacon... both were "Dy-na-na-na, na-na, na-na-na, na-na-na" and lit our taste buds up "like dynamite!" The broth in both was salty, savory and all kinds of "whoa oh oh"! If you like spicy, Deathwish is for you. If you don't, Miso Bacon. My favorite was the Deathwish. I'd say it was the "I'm diamond, you know I glow up" of the Miso Bacon, because the bowls have the same ingredients excluding their chili sauce (which I found to be a well-balance of spice, tang and delicately sweet). So, if you're in the area, I'd dance your way into Glo Noodle House! You'll be sure to have a "Dy-na-na-na, na-na, na-na, ayy" DYNAMITE experience. :D read more
We were visiting town and were craving soup as a snow storm had just blown in. Came here pretty late on a Friday evening and surprisingly there was no wait to get seated. Ended up ordering the Wagyu Brisket Shoyu since it seemed popular through reviews. Initial bites were great but I would say it started tasting a bit too sweet? Unsure if that's the best way to describe it. Also it felt pretty heavy after a while and this was me coming in completely famished. Back at home we have a lot of authentic Asian food option so maybe I was just a little bit picky. Overall though I would say it was ok and ultimately did fill me up. We ended up ordering some drinks as well. I settled with a beer but other people in my group ordered some cocktails. I would say the Witch of the Waste was the best out of the bunch. However, we did not enjoy The Taste of Tea whatsoever. For some reason, the blend of matcha and tequila really didn't go well together. It ended up tasting like sniffing burned plastic. All of us only managed to take small sips of it, but we ended up leaving it behind since it just didn't go down well. I will have to say the ambiance of the place is awesome. Love all the decor and theming. Would def rec to check out both bathrooms as one is decorated to be like you're inside an arcade cabinet, while the other looks like you're in a little outdoor market. We came at happy hour (4-6pm) and got some appetizers for a decent price (bao bun, edamame, spicy tuna hand roll) then ordered the Kimchi Ramen which was great. The Miso Bacon and Deathwish are also amazing - the latter if youre ready to clear your sinuses!!! We love this place and they have a great patio in the summer but love just sitting at the bar now a days. read more

Unfortunately the quality has gone down. I've ordered the wagyu brisket ramen before and the meat was thicker and tender before. Now it's bacon thin strips and they're dry. Sad but I won't be ordering from here anymore. read more
Loved the amazing food here. Small place, but that made it feel more intimate. I loved the casual vibe but amazing flavors. Service was excellent, and the servers were well acquainted with the menu, so they were able to offer lots of guidance with food restrictions and recommendations. Solid noodle spot in a very unassuming location off 38th; I was pleasantly surprised to find such an inviting atmosphere inside based on the exterior. The staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is extensive and offers a variety of options, with most dishes delivering on flavor. While a couple of items didn't completely wow me, the overall experience was excellent, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more. read more
