With lots of bar options on Tennyson, it's difficult to make a selection and for a venue to set itself apart from the rest. My Boy Tony has managed to do that with its open space with multiple seating options for larger groups to cozy corners for just a few. They offer beer, cocktails, and natural wine. Drinks are ordered at the bar from very friendly bartenders. I enjoyed my ranch water. It was a great place to chill and chat with a friend on a Saturday afternoon.

My Boy Tony adds to the list of places to try along Tennyson in the Berkeley neighborhood of Denver. This posh little place has a lot of seating options - for large or smaller parties. The decor is very trendy as are the drink options. Order your drinks at the bar and you'll get to meet the very nice and knowledgeable bartenders. I selected the Vodka Press as my cocktail of choice for the evening. It was a worthwhile choice - a little on the sourer end of things though, as one would expect. MBT was listed in Westword's 100 Bars for this year and I think that is an appropriate ranking for this year.

Stopped in for an aperol spritz as we made our way down Tennyson. A cute, cool vibe of a cocktail bar. We will be back to try some of their own cocktails but, the noise level was reasonable, so you could hear the people you were with and they made us an aperol spritz upon request.

The vibes are unmatched as you'll have a great conversation with Drew, Kim, or any other bartenders. There are a ton of TVs, but the ambience is also fantastic for the ladies. It is a place that fits all occasions. Dudes night, ladies night, date night... literally anything. Crows nest is known for their espresso martini and other craft cocktails. If anything, come for the drinks, vibe, and a good time. It will be your go to weekend cocktail spot or pre-dinner drink location. It won't disappoint!

While we ended up getting different drinks, I have no doubt the espresso martini is yummy. My husband went for the Old Fashioned and I opted for As the Crow Flies - both were very tasty. Not cheap though - about $14 a pop. They had a wide beer selection and a few NA options, which I'm looking forward to trying as they sounded good. The bartender was friendly and skilled. We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. They could get away with removing 1-2 and still catering to the same crowd while appealing to those (like me) who don't want to have to sit in a corner and strategically place the chairs just to not have to look at a screen.

Nice rotating customers too so it's not bad to post up and catch the game and enjoy some food.

Their menu lets you know that they worked hard on your drink yesterday because they use technology that requires planning and uses custom refrigeration to serve cocktails at a perfect temperature and create dilution levels so they can do cool things to give you a balanced cocktail in a "matter of seconds." Always adventurous, I tried their Sour Cream & Onion Martini. Our server advised that I try a small sip first. I loved it. I can see why it would not be for everyone. The flavor notes were strong and intense but true to the name, so much so that it was like drinking a bag of Lay's Sour Cream & Onion potato chips. Yum! My next adventure for my palate was from the sour section, The Cherry Sour. Full of carbonated foam when first served, this cocktail was a nice and refreshing balance. Semi-precious provides a venue that is easy to nestle into, sip on some unique cocktails, and enjoy the company of friends.

Sure you should. So I had the time to drive 20+ minutes from work to get to the northside to try out the Little Wolf's burger bar located inside the establishment and called the "Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." (Don't ask me why.) I made the drive mainly because I'd asked AI where some of the best burgers were in Denver area and one of the answers (when I asked for "quality ingredients") was "Little Wolf/Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." Made the drive for the Durango-sourced Colorado Wagyu beef/cheese burger that cost just a bit more than $10 a pop. Rating right up at almost a perfect 5 stars, the drive was worth it. And what made it so great? Not just the burger, but because as soon as I walked in the proprietor's first words were, "Want an ice cream cone on us?" While I thought it must have been because of my stylish aplomb and in-command presence . . . turns out everyone gets the same offer. (What a great marketing idea:). Took my burger, which by the way, tasted great, but of course ate my soft ice cream teaser cone first. Turned out to be a fine idea. End result? When you're looking for a great place for a blue-collar burger at an extremely reasonable price be sure to make the drive to the northside to give Little Wolf's a bite.
