Fat Sully's Pizza two PM until close. Boardgames while you wait. Fun music. Variety of televisions showing sports or cartoons. Fun neon sign art and the cowboy and astronaut staple. Big fan. Some lower tables and booths. Higher tables and bar top seating. Also fun seating surrounding the bar. This spot really has it all. Not to mention patio seating for the fresh air on a sunny day peeps. Generally quick service. Servers are friendly. Be in table service or bar service. Pizza is a bit quicker than the biscuits afternoon through night but everything on the menu is solid. Sarah, Kyle, Jackie. Shout out for good service. Consistently good service. Neighborhood staple. Don't pop in as much as I used to but it's always a treat when I do. A few menu items are not online for ordering so you have to call it in or order in person. This was our first stop in Denver after a morning of traveling and it hit allll the right spots. $5 pumpkin spice espresso martini!! Service was impeccable - our server/bartender was always available and checking in on us to make sure we were doing well. Food: amazing. The biscuits were somehow super moist yet held up their structure and didn't get soggy despite being covered in delicious sauce. So many things to love about Atomic cowboy! Atomic cowboy has it all: breakfast, pizza, burgers and a full bar! Everything I have tried here is delicious. They have great specials. I got a $5 raspberry margarita. It's the $5 drink of the month. They also offer great happy hour deals. The ice cream sandwich is made with fried French toast biscuits and Oreo ice cream and Oreo crumbles. It is $9 but it's huge, definitely for 2 people! Atomic Cowboy is our go-to for drinks and slices after a show at The Oriental. Often, it is the only place on Tennyson still open. They have pizza by the slice with a great selection of toppings. You can get red or white sauce on your slice. And, they have a great special on a slice & a beer M-Th that is cheaper than the beer alone. There is a great tap selection and full bar. They are becoming known for their smashburger, as well. read more

Come to this place for something different. I asked the waitress what's their most popular dish and she didn't hesitate to recommend The Franklin. They stack bacon + chedder cheese on fried chicken, smother it in gravy, and make it into a biscuit sandwich. Amazing! Messy, but amazing. My boyfriend and I were about to fly out of Denver but wanted to make a quick stop here for breakfast before we left cause the last time I was in Denver, these made such an impression on me! The drive was about 10 minutes away from our Airbnb, and there's a designated parking lot just for them and the other nearby businesses. We were greeted promptly and shown to the nearest booth. I'm very surprised by the lower reviews. I've had nothing but good experiences at this location. I've tried the pizza which is delicious and the biscuits for breakfast which are always a hit. My review today is more about their smashed burger. It was outstanding! The beef was flavorful and the burger was cheesy with soft pillowy buns. There was a good vibe overall; I appreciated the good service and well-laid-out interior, which allows for groups, dates, meetings, and singles. We were adventurous and ordered the white sauce with garlic, bacon, spinach, and basil, which was good. But our eyes were significantly larger than our stomachs, and the 26" order lasted for days in the fridge, which was not necessarily a bad thing! It is a double smashburger with simplicity but fall of your chair taste. I live my life by hot sauce, but wouldn't want to insult this burger. So, I don't. Ketchup or mustard? Please. Not needed. I love, love, love this burger. I have had the pizza, and it is solid also. But, back to the burger. I will shout this from the mountain tops. Best burger in Denver, and I have cheated on Atomic Cowboy and tried others over the last few months. I read the Westword lists. I drive far away from my house. Nothing close. One final thing. The service. Whether you sit on the ground level of the bar, at a table, or on the upper area where you see everything, whether you get Taylor, Kyle, Jake/ J/Money (lol), Sarah, etc., your service will be flawless. Sports will be on the three TV's. Don't go there FOR sports, but know you can go there and still see what you need to see. Trust me. We had a great experience, starting with Conrad - who cheerfully greeted our party of four at the door and made us feel welcomed like family in the midst of a busy night. We have another adult daughter with disabilities and Conrad went the extra mile to insure we were properly seated. And what a warm, fun, and festive family atmosphere awaited us inside! I've seen a restaurants way busier and still get orders correct and out especially French fries. My first time being here. I will not come back. By the way the servers name is Joe, I think. And he has brown/red hair, is a short 5'5"ish and has facial hair, pale skin and seems enthusiastic but the minute he seems he is busy, he will neglect his tables. I will say the person (David I think) we got our check from, was extremely remorseful and was taking the heat off the other server. David I think his name was, did take care of something's on our check, Oh and to add fire, the couple next to us complained as well, it took 20 mins to even get greeted & to get an order put in. Here's my only gripe about this place so far... They stop serving the Denver Biscuit Co menu at 2 pm on weekdays, and 3 pm on weekends. Well, and I don't really care for Fat Sully's pizza, but I'm not here for the pizza. Not when the biscuits are TO DIE FOR! I finally got the chance to try DBC's food at the Golden location not too long ago, and then begged to go back the next weekend, but this time at the Tennyson location. Both times getting the Biscuit Pot Pie (veggie). Also adding on the McHashbrowns, which is a whopping four hash browns (too much not to share), akin to McDonalds (hence the name) without the mass amounts of oil. *Sans Chix salt for us veggies. The "pot pie" is a decadent, savory wonder that I could eat every weekend, and I'm sure gain about a thousand pounds, and it would be worth every one. Bits of potato, carrot, peas and mushroom, (are there pieces of tofu, maybe) and oh those crispy onions! This is the epitome of hearty comfort food. I'm tempted to ask for extra gravy next time. Not because there's not enough, but because it's just too darn good! Not to forget about that lovely, rich biscuit, the main attraction of the dish... Just, stop with all that flavor, you're killing me! The drinks, IMO, aren't anything to rave about, although they do have a pretty good beer selection, if that's what you're into. The mimosas are good, but basic. I did have the Peachy Keen, and though it was quite strong, it was a little on the sweet side for me. Go for the food, you won't be sorry! LOVE a good casual pizza place like this. Came here with a friend for drinks and unhealthy food and it really hit the spot. The servers were all so incredibly nice too, I almost felt like something was in the air (like seriously, crazy nice?) I tried my friend's pizza but I actually got the poutine (they call it something else) with mushroom gravy and no bacon, so it was vegetarian!! Which, speaking of, was easy to find here. This review is primarily for the smash burger. It only shocked me how good it was the first time I had it. You don't really expect a great burger on the menu at a pizza place! They keep is really bare bones like a good traditional smash burger should be. Beef, cheese, pickles, onions, sauce. It's a pretty massive double double for $7 during happy hour or like $10 at full price. With current prices at most restaurants making it impossible to get full for under $20 these days I really appreciate a good value. I fail to see the logic behind this, unless the burger cooks can't start until 4? So we ordered pizza slices, just to tide us over. The pizza was, as usual, good but not great. They nail the super-thin crust, and use the cupped pepperoni. But they skimp on sauce and cheese. And they were out of oregano! How does a pizza place run out of oregano??? Smh. Even the dumpiest dump of a pizza place in NY has cheese, red pepper flakes, garlic, and oregano on every table, or at least on the counter. Most places in Colorado have cheese and red pepper flakes, and oregano if you ask. Rarely garlic. Fat Sully's was always our fallback when BF lived in the Highlands, if we just wanted a slice late at night or for lunch. Sexy Pizza was our go-to for pies. If Fat Sully's were more generous with the sauce and cheese on their pizzas, they could be amazing. We did get double pepperoni. I did like the new self-serve coffee bar. You choose your own mug, and can have as many refills as you like of regular or decaf coffee, for $3. The coffee was delicious. I think the creamer was half-and-half. I went in to pregame a flight home to CT. We arrived and told the waitress we were in a bit of a time crunch. We order a round of drinks and she took about 10 minutes to come back, only to tell me they didn't have the beer I wanted. I ordered a new one and again they didn't have that beer. The beer I ordered next was apparently a sour but not indicated on the menu, so I had to send it back. We ordered the garlic knots and wings for our food. Again the food took a long time to come out. But I gotta say the knots are amazing! They come with marinara and cheese dip! The wings were well cooked and crispy, but maybe a little too much sauce. We got Buffalo and garlic parm (which came with marinara). This place is pretty known for the giant pizza slices and my friends ordered some, but coming from Connecticut, not much can compare.
