Amazing experience at Hey Kiddo! This place is perfect for going out with friends and sharing a bunch of delicious food. The cute interior aesthetic is such a vibe, and the service was truly fantastic. The food was incredible across the board. The Pork Ribs & Popcorn Chicken were the definite standouts, and the Red Miso Ice Cream is an absolute must-order dessert. What We Ordered: * Green Cocktail * Cucumber Pickle * Popcorn Chicken * Oysters * Pork Ribs * Hickory Plum Salad * Potato Pave * Kimchi * Red Miso Ice Cream

Feeling like a kid because the food tasted like FUN ..!! :) We ordered the chicken liver mousse (the jam/fruit on top made it yummy), shaken rice (bibimbap-style, really fun concept), potato pave (my favorite! soft and layered), and HL milk rolls (super airy and filling). We also got the Hild Elbling Sekt, a sweet white wine. They were able to split a glass of wine into two for us which was so nice of them since I definitely would not be able to finish one entire glass by myself. For a table of two, ordering 4 dishes were more than enough because we had to take some to go. I recommend ordering the potato pave! (Maybe I'm biased because that one is my favorite) The restaurant was on the 3rd floor and it felt really cool stepping into the elevator! Once inside, the space is very cute giving a nice hangout/catchup/date vibe with an open kitchen. Customer service was spot on, everyone was nice and my server provided great recommendations!

A playful, well-executed dining experience with dishes that feel intentional yet fun. Highlights included the chicken liver mousse and shaken rice. Portions were generous. The space itself adds to the experience, tucked away upstairs with an open kitchen and a relaxed, date-friendly atmosphere.

Super interesting concept. Located on third floor of a very unassuming building. A bit industrial vibe. Great service. We decided to do a la carte since some in our party didn't want to eat all of the sides. Everything tasted good. My inly complaint was the pork ribs being too salty and dry.

4.5 stars. Finally visited Hey Kiddo for a work dinner. Saved it for the special occasion since it's Michelin recommended. Didn't get a chance to try Ok Yeah (3rd floor bar in the same building) but I will next time. I thought service was fine. I think our waiter was either training or in-training but vibes were off. I still enjoyed the overall ambiance, food, and drink. I don't remember what cocktail I had, but it was tasty. My favorite foods were the Chicken Liver Mousse, Lobster Spaghetti, and Bread & Butter, in that order. I wasn't too keen on the Fried Chicken or Shaken Rice, which were supposedly some of the more popular items on the menu and were recommended to us. Overall, would consider coming here again!

Located on the third floor, better to reserve since there might be a long long wait. I felt like a lot of the items were a hit or miss. - Sherry Darling & Open Sesame cocktails Wasn't that great. Sherry darling was a tad bit better than open sesame. - Beef tartare 1.9/5 Looked beautiful, but hard to get the tartare underneath the chips. It tastes too much like pine nuts. They put too much, can't taste the beef. Disappointing. - Grilled Oysters 4.7/5 These were yummy! Only squeeze just a tiny bit of lemon on the oysters. It doesn't really need it. [RECOMMEND] - Potato Pave 1.2/5 Potato... crispy potato... cream sauce.. and weird ikura (salmon roe). The ikura and potato does NOT go together. This dish felt too basic and honestly was not that great. - Chicken Liver Mousse 5/5 THE BEST DISH. The chicken liver mousse is nicely seasoned, on top of a crunchy exterior but pillowy interior toast, and on top are some fruity berries. Everything pairs well. [RECOMMEND] - Shaken Rice 2.6/5 It's basic ingredients with meat masago pickled onions... it was okay. - Red bean ice cream + banana brûlée 3.9/5 Can't taste the red bean in the ice cream. Banana brûlée is genius. Topped with caramel, the entire dessert was a tad too sweet. Banana delicious. Street parking, crowded during busy days.

Wow! We don't often get the chance to go out for fancy/trendy weeknight dinners as parents of toddlers, but boy was I glad I picked this place for our night out!! It was worth every penny! We showed up around 6pm, without a reservation, knowing that was a gamble. We knew this place was popular, but we thought if nothing else we could just grab a drink at the bar & head elsewhere for dinner. However, we were greeted by a super friendly hostess who let us know what our options are. We could head upstairs to the rooftop toddy bar & grab some fried chicken apps up there, and she would put our name down, or we could just wait for a spot at the bar. We opted to go upstairs because we were hungry & thought we might as well check out that space. They had a heated tent complete with fire pits up on the roof, and service a specialized menu of hot toddies, other simple drinks, and some amazing fried chicken and bread options. We got a Hot Toddy & a Hot Buttered and YUM! I am usually not a warm cocktail person, but these were perfectly balanced between flavor & booze, and the heat hit the spot on a chilly night. We also shared some K-town popcorn fried chicken, which was seasoned & sauced PERFECTLY, and some of the bonito & allium bread, which was amazing as well. Right as we were finishing up, our seats were ready - perfect timing! We headed back downstairs & were seated at the bar. We ended up ordering 2 more cocktails, and an assortment of shared plates. Everything was so good - we got the hiramasa sashimi, the shaken chef rice, and the potato pave - all of them were amazing! Combined with our apps, it was definitely enough food. Service was friendly, we got great descriptions of each dish & everyone was helpful with assisting us in ordering, and we were served in a very timely manner. All in all, an amazing use of a date night - everyone should check this place out!

This was a lovely dining experience! My daughter took us here for my birthday. We had the chef's choice. The offerings (waygu beef, kimchi, shaken rice, and more) were amazing! The flavors were exquisite. The staff was very pleasant. My son in law told them what he liked in a cocktail and they whipped him up something that was delicious (we all sipped it). My dessert came with a candle (nice touch!)

Finally came here after wanting to try it forever -- and even my high expectations couldn't ruin this place (hah)! It lived up to them and more (and the prices were honestly more reasonable than I expected). Really cute space -- a lot more cozy and intimate than I expected. A fantastic place to hang out at the bar, too. And the rooftop lounge looks wonderful (although their food menu is limited, so keep that in mind). Great cocktails -- from refreshing to spirit-forward to tiki -- I loved them all. And the fooooood! Oh man, I am coming back 100%! The chicken liver mousse on Texas toast had so many great flavors and textures, the fried popcorn chicken was some of the best I've had, and the dry-aged whole duck (for 2) was phenomenal. I'd love to come back for the char siu pork chop! Only thing I wouldn't get again is the sashimi. It was very good, but for $26, I think I'd just get sushi somewhere else. Stick to the other stuff here!

Hey kiddo is a little hidden if you don't know where you are going. Ive heard such great things about this place and it honestly didn't blow me out of the water. My friend and I both got the tasting menu which was essentially most of the menu, but what they didn't tell us was that they potion sizes were smaller. I think for the price of the tasting menu I would have just ordered a la carte for the menu. The shaken rice and the crispy potatoes were my favorite.

Me and my boyfriend Had a WONDERFUL experience with our first time at Hey Kiddo. We stopped in for a few drinks and apps and the staff was so accommodating to sit us at the bar. Our bartender, Ben, was awesome. He made some speciality cocktails for my bf which he was blown away by. He knew what he was talking about. The service all around was impeccable. I asked for a napkin cause my hands were sticky and someone from the kitchen brought me one and a different bartender got me a hot wet towel. Can't ask for more. We only tried the oysters and the potato pave which were both really delicious. The potato needed a little salt but Ben went and grabbed that for us quickly. The ambiance is lively and the interior is so well done. It's a place you want to hang out. We only wanted to stop for 1 drink but ended up having 5 between us 2. I'm excited to come back and have a full dinner experience but I can imagine we'll be back for drinks and apps at the bar soon too!

The only salad option - pretty good!
    Shruti J.

Excellent service with very interesting cocktail options. I really liked the pork belly dish and the salad that they had.. I think these two were my favourite! I wish they had better dessert options - I did like their miso ice cream but options would be nice.

Here's the deal: - Great location / rooftop vibe - Great Marketing & Branding - Intriguing menu - Good service - Tasty food ...but there's one thing missing - the value. After dining in, my fiancé and I both feel the food is overpriced. Without the guide badge they couldn't charge this much. We've been to guide and michelin restaurants all over the world, and we were really excited to try Hey Kiddo right in our neighborhood. The food is delicious and somewhat unique - but compared to other guide restaurants it's not at michelin tier for us, and certainly not worth the price. In my personal opinion they're trying too hard, just be a bomb chicken/rib spot and charge a fair price. Here's a picture of the big dessert. And by the way, they automatically add on 22% gratuity to the bill.

While we ended up getting different drinks, I have no doubt the espresso martini is yummy. My husband went for the Old Fashioned and I opted for As the Crow Flies - both were very tasty. Not cheap though - about $14 a pop. They had a wide beer selection and a few NA options, which I'm looking forward to trying as they sounded good. The bartender was friendly and skilled. We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. They could get away with removing 1-2 and still catering to the same crowd while appealing to those (like me) who don't want to have to sit in a corner and strategically place the chairs just to not have to look at a screen.

The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.
