Not my fave

My husband and I reeeeallyyyy wanted to love this place, but they had big shoes to fill after Café Brazil, and to be frank- I'm not sure they'll be able to live up to the greatness that once lived here. Granted- we did come in during the first week of service, but there were some things that were fundamentally wrong and left us unsatisfied. The food was ... ummmmm... interesting. We started with the fries appetizer that is apparently one of their signature dishes. Sad to say this- but it was not good at all. The fries were under seasoned, the cabbage slaw was suuuper sour, and the sausage/ hot dogs were overcooked and had a weird texture. We chose the ribeye for our main meal.. the meat was tender and tasted good, however, they topped it with what seemed to be raw garlic, and it was very pungent and overwhelming on the palette. The service was OK, although it was one server for the whole dining room, with the help of the open (general manager?). It took about 25 mins to get our appetizer, about 40 minutes to get our steak. While waiting, our waters were empty for a good amount of time, and our server was too busy to notice. We will likely try one more time when they get their bearings.. I guess I still have hope since we live so close.

AMAZING! Holy flavor bomb and incredible staff! We got there early evening on a Thursday night. Had the whole restaurant to ourselves until the neighborhood families started rolling in around 6pm. We chatted with one of the owners, Clark who has been in the beverage and restaurant industry for years. Grace was our server and bartender - she can wipe up a nice cocktail! Especially when you let her know what appeals to you. Check out the 10-4 section of the menu where you select one of four classic cocktails and then you select which spirits you want to try it in. Chef Adam may be an angel! The creations coming out of that kitchen were unreal. He really explores and understands combining unique flavors. I loved hearing about the influences that helped him come up with many of the dishes including incorporating some Brazilian elements as a nod to Cafe Brazil who use to reside in that location for decades. Highly recommend the Salchipapas - make sure you mix it up with the greens on top before eating. Black garlic goat cheese bread - I have never tasted anything like it. Incredible. But be sure to put the marinara sauce in it. Xtudo smash burger - this burger could win a burger competition. It is juicy, flavorful, and unique with the corn, linguine, and bacon combo on it. I will be returning already (twice in one month) because it was that wonderful of an experience. I was sad to see a neighborhood staple - Cafe de Brazil leave but I am thankful Little Wolf has come in and given us a fresh neighborhood god too restaurant.

I still wish they'd bring it back onto the happy hour menu! The staff makes the experience even better. Sam and Joshua are fantastic bartenders - friendly, welcoming, and genuinely great at what they do. They make the bar feel like a place you want to return to again and again. Seven Grand delivers on all fronts: great drinks, great people, and a great location. Highly recommended!

And get some work done searching information regarding Pre-fab Homes. Learned a great deal, I could save $$$$ And my pizza arrived, I do not know who was more hungry, Aspen or myself. Normally even a small pizza is Huge for me, but we gobbled that Pesto Pizza down so fast, I thought I might wish to order another!! Naw, let it settle and wind our way through the clamor of children petitioning; "Trick or Treat!" I LOVE Bluegrass, and there are two locations. Arvada is special with it's small artful historical feel, with parks and friendly people, pooches and plenty of parking a block n 1/2 away. Writing this, I WANT TO GO BACK AND HAVE MY FAVORITE PESTO PIZZA!!! Do enjoy this place, open 7 days weekly, also it does have a back patio and front patio, GREAT food; place is family, bar, wifi working and friendly banter!! Aspen made it to their headline photos!! Their second restaurant is super Dog friendly!! Enjoy

It's divey, has a pool table and a jukebox. You're here for a good time, so drink up. Cheap beers in bottles and a really nice selection of whiskies. The fact you have the option to order a made to order, hand crafted cocktail or a cheap beer resonates with me. My only qualm with this place is that is usually takes me a million years to get a drink. I've been here half a dozen times and I don't know if it's just bad luck on my end, but I've had to wait at the bar for a long time. The bartenders work hard and sometimes are dealing with rowdy patrons, I've just been skipped a handful of times. Won't stop me from coming back, just my experience! For cocktails, you can't go wrong with their house old fashioned or negroni. Or even their Japanese whiskey highballs. They do have a rotating selection of house cocktails too that I've had previously and enjoyed. For beers, I love that they have Coors Banquet, Hamms, Lone Star and Miller High Life for $4. They also boast some great local ales for only a few bucks more. Great neighborhood bar. Should be in the rotation more often. Bring your crew and saddle up for a fun night at High Lonesome.

Started off down stairs but came up to the rooftop to sit closer to the Tv's. The bartender was good, the food came out quickly. The drinks were a little inconsistent. I got the same cocktail three times and each time they came out very different. The reason I took off two stars was because of the other patrons and disrespect of the staff. We were clearly there to watch the game, not a small game but the World Series! With 2 innings left another table came in and decided to be obnoxious. It was a family, and they asked to put on college baseball. The waiter went and changed the channel and the sound without asking or saying anything. We asked why they changed it because we were watching and he said it is still showing on a TV on the other side of the room. We would have had to move our table, food and drinks after we had been there for hours. Inevitably we were not able to finish the game and had to watch it on our phones. Of course the family who requested the change, wasn't even watching the games they asked to put on. No one asked us or even acknowledged until I asked. It was beyond rude and disrespectful, I doubt I will never come back here for a game after that experience. The entire situation was uncomfortable, and I can't help but think they wouldn't have done that if it was a group of men watching. Major bummer because the food and location is pretty good. Overall, 2/5 stars.

As Lucy's is known for their stuffed burgers, I went with The Juicy Lucy and a half order of fries. The burgers are made with a 76/24 blend and stuffed with cheese, onions, and pickles. There are plenty of add-ons (tomato, lettuce, pepperoncini, bacon, even an egg), but go easy as these burgers are seriously indulgent and filling. The skinny fries were fabulous (you can't have just one). My order arrived quick AND hot. The burger was good and as promised, juicy. Definitely recommend indulging in a cocktail too. My wife and I popped in to try it out and got the classic stuffed burgers. The burgers were almost 20 bucks each with no sides, which would be fine if they were exceptionally tasty or high-quality, but they tasted as if they came from the frozen section at Walmart. The stuffed cheese was barely existent, and I was charged for adding lettuce and tomatoes. Wtf? The fries were good, but they were clearly from a giant frozen bag, so charging extra for them seems crazy considering the burgers were almost 20 bucks. When it was all said and done, we paid over 80 dollars for two mediocre (borderline bad) burgers, one side of fries to share, a Bloody Mary, and a cheap canned beer. We left with with a very bad taste in our mouth both literally and figuratively. The only saving grace was that the server was very friendly and nice. That's the second star. Also, we chose this place because we had some cash on the in-kind app, but when we went to pay, they said they had changed POS systems, so they were essentially engaging in false advertising. They did give us a drink coupon, but we won't be back ever.
