I think most of the reviews on here are pretty spot-on. They do a decent job with everything but it does not necessarily offer anything that makes you want to come back time and time again. It is pretty cool that they are steps away from Sloan's Lake Park but I would say that's the only thing that makes them unique. I got a tequila pineapple there which was made pretty well with a generous amount of tequila but no tajin or salt and I had to ask for a lime. Not a huge deal. Ambiance is interesting there. It was dead quiet with no music or if there was it was turned down so low that I don't remember any playing. It almost felt awkward being in there. Service was good. Bartender was personable and timely. I think the best time to come here would be during sunset sitting at the patio with a view of Sloan's and your friends. read more

I consistently come here for a beer, burger, and fries, and it satisfies every time. The employees are friendly and there's always plenty of indoor or outdoor seating. I've never had to make a reservation which I appreciate in this day and age. Their patio is dog friendly! I always think about trying something new on their menu but honestly the burger (I order this with just a single patty, the double is a bit much) and fries are so good I skip trying something new. Also the fries come with the burger, it's not a separate cost, which I believe should be the standard for any restaurant serving a burger! Good job to Patio at Sloan's for getting that correct. As I was growing up many of my best memories were hanging out with family and friends on our back patio, so when I saw a restaurant named The Patio I had to give it a go! As you drive by at night you can feel the good vibes emanating from this bar. Pretty hip was my first impression. Lots of neighborhood regulars and visitors-- A pretty good mixture of people. I ate here quite a few times while visiting my mom at the PAM hospital down the street. I tried the 3 different burgers on their menu and also their fish tacos. I also got feedback from my uncle that the ahi tuna salad was fantastic! The burgers were amazing! The Mushroom Swiss is worthy of an entry in the annual top burger in Denver competition. The Patio Burger with avocado and bacon was also quite tasty. The mouthwatering Southwest Burger was perfect with just the right amount of heat! I had to walk back and compliment the kitchen staff! The servers were fun one was named Emily and she was great. Also was served by bartender when I sat at a table in the bar area and he stopped by a few times making that trek from behind the bar out to check on me. Whether you're enjoying a day in the park, visiting relatives in the hospital/rehab down the street, or just want a great burger after work this place rocks. Came here on a Friday after a nice walk around the lake. I was just opening, so there was plenty of seating. They have indoor seating and heated outdoor seating with a canopy to stay warm and shielded you from the wind. We were helped immediately, and our waiter was on top of his game. He was even able to split all of our checks individually. Overall, the experience was great however, the food could definitely be improved. The food was average. With the Caesar chicken wrap, the chunks of chicken were just way too big. And this type of wrap that needs to be cut into smaller pieces or shredded because an entire bite of chicken is kind of gross. On top of the tortilla just didn't do it for me. It would've been nice if they for maybe 10 seconds on each side, put the tortilla on a pan to make it a little bit crispier. Also, in a Caesar salad, you get croutons so I would expect that the wrap should have at least a few croutons in there to give it that crunchy texture. The fries were absolutely delicious and so was the salad so can't complain there!! Totally recommend if you're looking for a spot around the lake. I would definitely come back, especially in summer. I've had hit or miss experiences here! The last time I dined, it was busy during a Nuggets game but after asking to be seated on the patio and brought menus, we were not served. Because we only wanted to stop in for a quick drink, we decided to leave. It was strange that the outdoor patio had such loud speakers playing the game when there was no TV on the patio (we decided to sit away from the game as we did not need to watch but the speakers were overpowering). Other times I have had a good experience and will be visiting again but more mindful of the service and if I am looking for a quick drink, knowing it may need to be at the bar. read more

We are all surprised by how fast the food was served!! Hopefully that doesn't mean they just reheated premade dishes as what we had all tasted pretty good. I wish we had been seated at the patio but we're grateful that we got seated, period. Without having to wait for a table for long. So we were at the main dining hall on the ground floor. I especially enjoyed the Patio Burger, it's got double patties and a fried egg! Just the perfect amount of grease and drippy cheese. Can't get more American than that! The boys at the party loved the pickle chips, it's not my thing but I tried the appetizer wings and they were not bad. My salmon with wild rice was very healthy tasting yet still pretty hearty. Already pretty full but friends suggested dessert and I wasn't gonna turn them down. We got one of each: cheesecake and chocolate cake. Both good sharing sizes without being outrageously big. When walking around Sloans Lake this restaurant always looked inviting from the street. Last week we popped in for late lunch with a friend around 3 pm when happy hour started. Drinks are definitely made haphazardly-the whiskey sour was way too sour and a skimpy old fashion. Had Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and a burger. Typical pub grub with ground up beef for the Philly cheesesteak and salty truffle fries. Meh. Our afternoon in April was too chilly for the real front patio and the plastic window tent was adequate but not pleasant. The patio outside was such a great spot to enjoy with friends. It has plenty of space and it would be great for a large group. My go-to term for this review will be "subpar". Our service was subpar as our waiter wasn't very helpful with the menu or bringing us water after we asked a few times. The food was subpar. We didn't really like it and we didn't really dislike it. However, I felt that the prices were pretty expensive for what we got. I most likely won't go back to the Patio at Sloans unless the prices come down and the service improves. This place surprised me. Everything from the drinks to the food was delicious. I ordered a Patio Hard Tea if you want a great drink that is a bit like sweet tea this is the drink for you. I liked it more than the Patio Marg I ordered first. There was just a bit too much sour in it and not sure the peach schnapps was complimented. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Nacho as my meal. What a great choice! I ate every last bite! The service was the icing on the cake. The waitress check led on us as needed and was so pleasant! We will definitely be back! The only thing that led to the one less star was that the women's sink wasn't draining and the toilet wouldn't flush. Other wise I would say this is truly a five star restaurant. read more

It has a fun ambiance - sports on TV, outdoor seating, and lots of dogs! He had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and I ordered the Grilled Pear and Feta Salad. The salad was flavorful and healthy, but the peaches could've been grilled a bit more, and the portion was huge. I usually go for a slushy cocktail when I see one -- especially on a sunny day like this. I passed on a frozé this time because they were fourteen bucks each and Yelpers had advised against them (I did my research). My Apricot Blonde Ale was delish! I will note that you cannot order anything from 1-1:30 -- guess who rolled in at 12:45? While we were rushed to place our order before the kitchen flipped, our waitress was very accommodating and did a great job explaining the situation to our small group. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and boyfriend had the hot chicken sandwich. The wrap was alright, the buffalo had good flavor but really not a lot of chicken to be had. My boyfriends sandwich was good and the hot honey was a nice touch! 3 stars because the food wasn't anything you couldn't have made at home, and prices were high for what that was. I had been to this restaurant once (before yesterday) as a third-party vendor (I have a side gig I do) but yesterday's dining experience was as a customer with a good friend of mine. Hence, I'm writing this review to tell you how it went. First of all, this is definitely a great place to have a drink or two with something light to eat especially in the bar area facing the lake. You can sit and do some people watching (if you like dogs, those people who walk by are usually with their furry friends; this place is also dog friendly as long as you sit outside) or look at the lake water; well, this is doable during the warm months on a sunny day. Although it rained quite a bit earlier in the day, when we got there at/around 5-5:15pm, the weather was gorgeous. Because I always order wine when I dine out, I wanted to be more adventurous, so I ordered one of the cocktails off the Happy Hour menu; I went with Sunset Spritz (Mavi Aperitivo, Lemon Juice, Lamarca Prosecco Rose, and Sparkling Water.; $8 whereas the regular price as of 7/20/2023 is/was $11) as this sounded so refreshing. As beautiful and photogenic as it looks (because of its overall orangy looks) you might get intrigued especially when someone nearby is drinking. Unfortunately, however, I didn't care for the overall taste. I first though it was just me so I asked my friend to taste it. It didn't appeal to her palate either; she described it as "Fanta with alcohol in it" or something along the line. So my honest and frank opinion about this drink is that it doesn't taste as great as its appearance. I probably won't order it ever unless they change up the ingredients (there was a strange bitterness at the end.) For food to eat, I went with Pesto Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries. This was a decent plate where I wasn't disappointed at all. The Truffle Fries were well made where they didn't overload with salt. The sandwich's portion is a decent size, but I must admit that it's a bit overpriced (at $19; a plate like this should be $15.) Service was good though! The young lady who served us was prompt, accurate and smiling the whole 9 yards. I still think that this place is a good place to spend an early evening to enjoy the ambiance it creates. I never understand the love for everything fried, but I have to admit we really enjoyed them. Then, onto burgers. One regular with fries, one with gluten free bun and a ceasar's salad (no croutons). I'd say the dressing on the salad was spot on, and it was the best part of the meal. The burgers were good, nothing special, though. I'd repeat the salad, not the sandwich. I was holding off this review for a while... we had stomach issues afterward, and we couldn't figure out if it was connected to the food or not. However, we couldn't find a different cause. So let's assume 50/50 risk. They advertise that almost everything can be made gluten free on the website, however in reality, the options are limited (it's still enough, but so you know). We stumbled upon this place because a friend got seated here instead of at Odell Brewing right across the alley way. It was a nice Saturday afternoon, so we figured we'd give it a shot. The seats on the patio were very nice and had good views of Sloan's Lake. As is with most outdoor patios around Denver, it is pet friendly and they even have menu items for dogs as well. We opted for some drinks and light food items. The blackened salmon was good, but the long grain rice that accompanied the dish looked and tasted like boxed rice, so I want too impressed with that. The boneless wings and garlic Parmesan fries were average, but nothing too special. The wings looked like pre made or frozen wings that were fried and tossed in a Nashville hot sauce. read more
