The first thing we noticed upon entering was a large window where we could watch the fresh noodles being made right before our eyes. It is a really fun show that sets a great tone for the meal. Our waiter, Keenan, very patiently walked us through the menu. Our daughter doesn't eat beef, but I love it, so I ordered the beef short ribs with black pepper, and they were fantastic. We also shared the Iberico pork pan-fried buns, Iberico pork wontons in magical red sea sauce, kung pao chicken with sliced noodles, and Sichuan Dan Dan noodles. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food. One minor disappointment was the fresh fruit tea, which we found a little watery and overpriced at seven dollars a glass. I do hope Nina considers opening a branch in the south part of town closer to us. Despite the somewhat challenging drive, I will absolutely venture back because this is a truly special restaurant.

I got the black pepper beef fried rice, plus the iberico pork wonton in magical red sea sauce. We split an order of the mongolian beef potstickers for the table. Two friends went with the mongolian beef stir fry noodle and the magic fried rice, respectively. No misses. Not even a "fine, I guess" plate in the bunch. The uptown/Colfax corridor is littered with asian restaurants coasting on convenience, charging real prices for food that tastes like it's been reheated twice. Noodles by Nina isn't cheap either, but you don't walk out feeling like you got played. They hand-pull the noodles in full view of the dining room, and that kind of visible effort tends to show up on the plate elsewhere too. It's also in the old Qdoba space on 17th, so there's an actual parking lot. In this part of Denver, that's practically a miracle. Better than any other asian restaurant I can think of in that stretch of the city. Not close. Can't wait to go back and work through the rest of the menu. Would come back, probably soon. 5 stars.
