Ever since we moved to Evergreen, this has been the go to pizza spot in town. CLASSIC NY style pizza, good flavor, excellent crust, and overall just damn good. I'm originally from Chicago but I had my fair share of ny style and this hits the spot. Service is always good to me, either in person or online. Worst pizzas ever. Minuscule toppings for $1.99 each. Ordered sausage, red onion and extra cheese. It's ALL cheese. Tiny bit of meat and onions. I don't live in Colorado but happened to be driving thru on a road trip. I wasn't expecting much. Instead I found a super friendly pizza shop, very solid food, and an overall great experience. The service was fast, the restaurant was clean and the beer was ice cold! These days spots like Domino's or Poppa Johns get all the press yet their pizza isn't what it used to be. We dine at Locals once or twice a week and decided to have them cater a small gathering of friends at our house. Baked ziti, antipasto salad and garlic bread followed by cannoli for dessert. Incredibly great and everyone was impressed with the meal. Came into town for a visit from Arizona . Family member took me here , what a damn good surprise it was . I'm somebody who enjoys a nice New York thin crust with that cornmeal finish THIS WAS IT . I ate about 4 pieces and it was just too damn good . Everybody was really nice and their xl pizza feeds plenty( massive slices ) !! If I'm ever in town again I will be here ASAP. We love the NY style pizza. The mozzarella sticks were also amazing. Everyone was really friendly and the service was great.

Service was fine but generally just a disappointing experience overall. "Locals" is the former Anthony's Pizza in the shopping center near Safeway; the old sign from Anthony's is out back on the deck, stacked against the wall with other crap. Unfortunately Locals Pizza certainly won't be the pizza for these locals. Evergreen does generally struggle for reliably good pizza, so "Locals" isn't uniquely bad. It's just well down the lower tier of otherwise mediocre pizza to be found around town. The pizza standard for the area is pretty low, and somehow Locals seems to come in under that bar. Pizza crust was "meh," on the dry and starchy side, and the toppings were haphazardly tossed about the pie. It looks like someone spent all of 30 seconds assembling it. And there are no beers on tap to help wash it down. No soap or paper towels in the restroom, just clutter. We ate on the patio which was indeed open, but the door from the restaurant to the patio was mostly blocked by an enormous stack of to-go boxes. Going in and out we had to navigate a bit of a hurdle. The other door to the patio was screwed shut, so it seems that the best storage plan for the bundle of unassembled boxes was to park it right in front of the exit to the deck. On the positive side of the column, no one from our party got sick. If that's the standard, they pass. But a bake-at-home pizza from elsewhere would have been better overall. Sorry to be down on a local spot trying to make it, but Locals has a very long way to go to be worth trying again. I suspect these are "management issues" that should be fairly easily resolved if only there's a will. No attentive manager would keep a restaurant in such negligent condition. read more

I hope when this place goes out of business soon that someone who knows what they're doing takes over. Never known a veggie pizza to come with jalapeños on it and after picking it up "right out of the oven". Was cold and taste like it was 45min old. Looks like they lost all their employees due to not paying them so don't imaging that the owners can do it all on their own for long. read more

Not kidding when I say that Locals might be the best pizza I've tried in all of Colorado. I think they may have a low rating due to childish folks upset over a difference in political opinion or the like; but let's ignore all that and get back to the pizza. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the iconic "Famous" pizza joint off broadway, that got replaced by a subpar chain-gentrified donut shop? That used to be the best pizza in all of Denver, and many critics agreed so. But after they closed, Denver and surrounding areas really hit a metaphorical dark winter for good pizza. Then boom, 2022/2023... Locals Pizza (with the outside sign simply reading "PIZZA" nonchalantly and curiously... in Evergreen, Colorado of all places! This place takes me back to the likes of the best pizza I've had out in NYC. Please, if you like pizza like me, take a chance and try this spot! Best of the best! read more

I love this restaurant, and I am so happy Evergreen has authentic NY style pizza. The sauce, cheese, and crust are PERFECT. Besides the food being delicious, the staff is helpful, cheerful, and professional. Whenever I go to pick up our Friday night pie, Ginger is there with a smile. I lived in New York City in the 60s and 70s. This place really took me back! This is the most authentic NY style pizza I've had in many, many years. And the staff was welcoming, courteous, and thorough. It's about 30 miles from my house, but I will definitely be going back. read more
