I ordered the captain crunch chicken sandwich which was recommended by the server. The coating on the chicken was very close to being burnt. The chicken sandwich itself was tasty though. The fries were all little over done as well. My partners pulled pork sandwich had good flavor and his side of green chili was good and spicy but not too spicy. The server (handle bar mustache) was friendly although somewhat inattentive. We waited too long for our check and change. What a great location! We stopped in after a hike Menu has a lot variety. We started with a pretzel and jumbo tots, they were delicious. I was torn between the swedish meatballs and the birria French dip, I got one and my friend got the other. Both were unique in their own way. It was so filing. Plenty of sides. My husband got sausage sandwich, and he said it was flavorful. The salt and vinager chips were different, most of our table did not like them. The waiter was very busy but nice. It took a monent to get our check. I wasn't ever asked if I wanted another beer. I fell like they are more a restaurant than a brewery. My husband got a special hamburger on the menu from the local high school, which was a bit saltier than he expected. My experience at Lariat Lodge Brewing Compay in Evergreen was excellent. I had the Ruben and fries, GUS'S PERFECT PRETZEL, chocolate stout and fresh brewed iced tea. All the foods looked to be great. I was admiring the fish and chips next to me. The business was hopping busy for a Sunday afternoon. Everyone patronizing the establishment looked to be having a good time. Smiles abound. The wait staff was kind, knowdgeable and witty. The tye dye shirts with official branding were a nice touch. The location is great, a comfy brewpub with mountain views. Elk nearby. Ah, Evergreen. Lariat Lodge is a tried and true Evergreen staple! This is brewpub 101 at its core. Hearty food, good beer, and cozy vibes. They opened over their flagship spot tucked away in Evergreen back in 2015. They've now expanded to a second location in the Ken Caryl/Littleton area (a massive operation!). This spot screams mountain town brewery and there's a reason there's always people here. Visited yesterday after a nearby hike. This is the type of place you want to go to after a hike. They were a little short staffed in the front, so we waited a bit for a table, but once we sat our server was great and put our orders in quickly. Server was rocking the entire patio and doing a top notch job! +The Stout One ($21) // Burger grilled to order and topped with applewood-smoked bleu cheese, stout-caramelized onions, marinated mushrooms, and garlic aioli on a locally sourced Harvest Moon brioche bun. Very tasty. A bit overcooked for what I requested, though the strong flavors from the bleu cheese and onions were great. Hearty portions for sure. For a burger priced higher than an Andrew Jackson bill, I wanted to be wowed. And for me, this particular burger didn't hit that bar, though it satisfied my burger craving. Lariat Lodge makes good beer and cans most of their offerings. So grab a sixer for the road to support a local brewery at home. I'll continue to come here and patronize them! read more

We had a group of 7 which they accommodated well and with FAST service. The Oktoberfest beer + wings were soooo good. Friends in my group noted the burger was alright. The prices were reasonable & the view was certainly nice. In Colorado fashion, it started to sprinkle while the sun was out, so I appreciated that our outdoor table had an umbrella. We've only visited Lariat Lodge for their cocktails and views: both amazing. First, the drive is worth the trip and knowing you've got an amazing view waiting for you with kind wait staff, it's really what lazy afternoons are made of. One day we'll eat here too, as we've now watched scrumptious entrees being delivered to our neighbors twice. We did have their queso and deviled eggs recently and liked it. I've been here before and its one of my go to places in evergreen. However this time around I was a bit disappointed. The food wasn't as delicious as it has been before. It was missing that delicious flavor the dishes typically have. It was bland this time around. The service was super speedy-we got seated down almost 5 mins after arriving. Although our server was a bit slow and took a while to come around to ask if we needed anything else. Ambiance was great. They were so helpful to our family with scheduling the reservation over the phone and the food was great! We enjoyed the beer and appetizers. This is a lovely location with cozy, indoor seating and beautiful outdoor seating (with necessary umbrellas to provide shade). We were welcome in and asked to be seated in the shade on the patio. My brother and sister-in-law had been here before - this is one of their favorite restaurants and they told us what their favorite items were. My sister-in-law had the pulled pork, macaroni and cheese while my brother-in-law had the jalapeño popper burger. I decided to have the Reuben sandwich with creamy slaw while my husband had the brussels sprout salad. Three of us had some of the local beer from that brewery. The mac & cheese was huge and rich, and my sister-in-law took half home. My Reuben was very tasty, as was the creamy coleslaw. And my husband loved his brussels sprout and kale salad, although he gave me most of the bacon and left some of the feta. The staff checked back on this frequently and it was a lovely birthday lunch for my husband and his brother. read more

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! We came here and got a great seat on the patio. It was a lovely warm day with a slight breeze. Already off to a good start. The drinks were really good. Our food was brought out fairly quick. I got the buffalo chicken wrap (I've had better if I'm being honest) but the rest of the dishes were incredible. The Mac and cheese with bbq brisket is INSANE probably the best that we have ever had (5 people said that!) everyone loved their dishes and the pretzels were so yummy too. Came here for a late lunch over the weekend. Dogs were allowed on the deck out back so we had to walk around the place to get outside (not a big deal, I like when they have rules and stick to them!) Our waitress seemed a little busy and I had to remind her about my drink, but otherwise service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I opted for a southwestern salad with chicken - nothing too exciting, had a nice kick with the little hot peppers, but it was good and did the late lunch trick. I just had a club soda here, so no opinions on the beers. The deck was elevated so we had some nice views of properties in the area. Icing on the cake is seeing a few elk just lazing around near the parking lot exit! First time ever seeing elk and they were just chilling. (We also lucked out and just a mile down the road saw a HERD of elk near a small body of water, like 40 of them, so that was cool too). read more

The other tables around us seemed to be having the same issue with slow service. We started off with the pretzel and honestly that was the best thing we ordered. I got the Southwest Salad. The chicken was incredibly dry to the point I couldn't enjoy it. It's really spicy because they do leave the jalapeno seeds in it- so watch for that. Sat outside on a gorgeous day, the wait was about 15 minutes for a table but worth it. The food was great here at Lariat! I got the bison burger, which had a spicy havarti cheese, fig preserves, and caramelized onions (using stout). I added feta and a side of garlic aioli as well-- the flavors all combined were super tasty. The waitress didn't ask me how I wanted my burger, but it was perfect all the same. Super tasty bun too! I couldn't decide between the Mac n cheese side or the Brussels sprouts so I got both and I don't regret it. Super tasty! They had a lot of side options ranging from included, $2 more, or $4 more. My friend got the lodge burger-- tomato, cheese, lettuce, pickles, caramelized onion, and their lodge sauce. One of the best burgers shes had in a long time! Her side of truffle fries were not as impressive though. Get another side instead. Our beers were refreshing, definitely order the hazy boy IPA if you like IPAs. LL isn't bad but isn't good either. Tried a few IPAs and they were good not great. Had some wings that actually came out a bit burnt with char on them. The food was good and the service was good. The location is interestingly tucked away on a hillside in an old neighborhood. There is an odor when you approach the building and all through the building including upstairs (where the second bathroom is). It's a VERY STRONG sewage/mold type odor and the employee say it's just an old building and the pipes smell.... but it's more than just that. Whatever it is we have to wash our clothes because of the residual smell. It seemed like a good idea to try this spot, but with that kind of scent we're not going back. read more

Stopped by here for a late lunch after a hike in Alderfer/Three Sisters Park, and I'm certain glad I did. Location was a bit hard to find as it's on the edge of town obscured off the main drag, but the perk is that it's perched above everything and you get some nice views, especially if seated on the balcony. I really enjoyed their beers, they have a great hazy ipa and they also had some nice rotating brews which were phenomenal. We were there during happy hour (3pm to 6pm), so the pints were $5/each which was a great deal. Additionally, happy hour had some lower priced appetizers ($8 instead of $12) and we ordered the pretzel per the server's recommendation. The pretzel was very tasty, but I couldn't imagine paying more than $8 for it -- even $8 seemed ever so slightly high. As for the entree; I had the Reuben, and while it was good, I felt it was overpriced. So overall I thought this place was indeed great and if they lowered their prices by a few bucks I'd easily give them 5 stars instead of 4. Regardless, it's definitely worth a visit after a hike during happy hour for the beers alone. read more

Great spot for food, drinks, and views in Evergreen! My husband and I stopped by after hiking with our pup and baby. They have a great outdoor patio where dogs are allowed. My husband and I split a seasonal salad with palisade peaches and brisket Mac n cheese. The service was great and they even put the meals on separate plates so we didn't have to worry about splitting them ourselves. Second time here. We both enjoyed the new Shadow Mountain Stout. Hopefully this one stays around awhile. I liked the rowdy chicken wrap with grilled chicken, and the brussel sprouts weren't bad. My wife had the build your own veggie burger with sweet potato tots, which are still yummy. Service was again consistent throughout.
