Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an interesting little spot, cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We picked our own seats out on the back patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stopped here before a show at the Red Rocks. I had the raspberry blonde 4 noses beer. Very good, very light and refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute outdoor patio next to park area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The burnt ends weren't impressive but maybe it's just because I've been spoiled in Missouri and Kansas. Chicken wings okay. Server was really nice and everything came out quickly. I think if I went back I'd try some of the other smoked meats, or sandwiches because those looked fire!!!

I want my baby back, babyback....and st.Luis ribs! Delicious!

The wait staff was friendly. The place was pretty packed for 8 PM in a strip mall. The back patio seems like it was pretty great. They had live music. We meat inside because it was quite rainy. The sandwiches were a bit on the small side and I don't think anybody was very impressed with the barbecue outside of those who ordered the ribs . But, the ribs were great. The coleslaw has a sweetness to it, with apples and pineapple cut up in it. It's very unique and not bad. A lot of folks loved the mac & cheese who had ordered it. I thought it was just OK. I think this is the type of place you go to enjoy drinks and music, and ribs . I would be back for that reason only.

    1/2 Sampler

Had a beautiful hike to St. Mary Glacier and decided to stop by Genesee Pub and BBQ on the way back home. The atmosphere of this place was incredible! I recommend sitting outside, outdoors sitting is special with all the beautiful trees, mountain bike trails, and patio live music. I believe during warm weather they have live music on the weekends but I am not 100% sure. Food was ok, we got a sampler to share. Based on the description it feeds 4 hungry people, I can verify that, there was quite a lot of food. However, the brisket and pulled pork were dry as for my taste. I'd give food quality a 4 but the outdoor patio and the vibe deserve a 5. I was debating between 4 and 5 but considering friendly service and outdoors vibes I decided to give this place 5 stars.

The fried foods were fried too long in the frying basket? I can taste the old grease than the actual food. Ordered brisket sandwich - brisket was very dry, so obviously not fresh. Under $40 for my wife and I, so edible place for a decent price.

Amazing food, quick service, chill atmosphere. Everything was delicious. The waffle fries were sooo crispy! I had the pulled pork with green Chili's, avocado sandwich. So good. Husband got the beef hamburger with bacon. Baked beans were great too. Top notch after hiking in Genessee Park.

Close to Lookout Mountain, this is a great stop! Five stars across the board!…read more Food: was fantastic - between the 4 of us, we tried the brisket sandwich (tender and delicious with the pickles and picked red onions), pork ribs (meaty, flavorful and tender, my son's favorite), pulled pork on nachos (tasty and fresh). Had to have a Coors Light while in Golden, CO! Sides of Mac and cheese, baked beans, vinegar Cole slaw and potato salad were all freshly made, clean tasting, and added quality to each meal! Service: attentive and hospitable. You order at the counter and they bring out the trays from the kitchen. Every member was knowledgeable in explaining the multiple sauces and went out of the way to attend to every question or request. Love the casual vibes, from picking up your own utensils to cleaning up your own trays. Excellent service. And they were appreciative of our patronage. Ambiance: clean restaurant all around, cool casual vibes with a great outdoor patio side facing the sun and mountains. Well worth the stop, best bbq in Golden CO, indeed! 5

Stairmaster to Heaven (The BBQ Kind) They say distance makes…read morethe heart grow fonder, but in this case, a 30-minute drive and a second-story climb mostly just made us hungry. We were strongly motivated by a lunch date with our daughter and her husband, and apparently, the 'Seasoned Swine' experience starts with a mandatory pre-meal cardio session. If you aren't ready to hit the stairs, you aren't ready for the Swine. The Atmosphere (2 Stars): It's a bit like a sports bar that forgot to buy the TVs. Plenty of high-top tables to perched upon, and a bathroom door that refuses to close--perfect for those who enjoy a 'communal' dining experience in every sense of the word. The Service (3 Stars): Standard 'pay-to-play' setup. You order at the register, pay upfront, and hope for the best. Functional, but don't expect a candlelit serenade. The Food (5 Stars): This is where the magic happens. Three of us tackled the 'Swinoceros' plate--a meat-sweat-inducing mountain of the menu's highlights--while our fourth went for the pulled pork 'sammie.' The Candied Ribs: Out of this world. I'm pretty sure these are illegal in several states. Absolute perfection. The Burnt Ends: Moist, flavorful, and worth the drive alone. The Supporting Cast: The pulled pork, sliced turkey, brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage were all good. Even the sides--the OC Mac and Cheese and baked beans--were terrific. The Rolls: The three sweet rolls were... well, they were rolls. They were there. The Verdict: If you can survive the stairs, the awkward bathroom situation, and the DIY service, the food is a total knockout. I came for the family, but I'd stay for those candied ribs.

They were kind of just fatty pieces of barbecue meat. Still delicious and the sauces were great, but not really what I was hoping for. We ordered cheese curds, which were actually cubes and that is the first time I've ever seen shaped curds. They were pretty good, as was the sausage and mac & cheese, though the cheese sauce was a little thin. My mom had the focaccia grilled cheese, which had awesome flavors in it, but the focaccia itself was super thick. If we could decrease the bread by like half I think this would be an awesome choice. I think the main reason I would go to the Eddy is to hang out on their patio, especially when they have live music. It's a good view of golden in the foothills and its probably a great sunset spot. They also have a lot of good nonalcoholic options which we really appreciated - including nonalcoholic wine, which you don't see very often . I think I would stop back here on my way back from hiking or climbing in the canyon but I hope to be a little more impressed by the food next time.

Two men ate burgers, and I had the fried green tomato blt it was very good. So many fries on the side. Service was a smidgen slow, the waiter was attentive until near the end of our meal as more folks came and went in the restaurant. We waited a little to get final check. Great patio/pub dining inside the restaurant. Super dog friendly.

The modern world forces a person to make too many final decisions. You must commit to a career, a…read moremortgage, and a twenty-ounce glass of alcohol before you even know if you like the taste of it. The Golden Mill rejects this entire high-stakes arrangement. Instead, they hand you a plastic card embedded with a microchip and invite you to wander around a historic, converted flour mill, conducting small, low-risk experiments on your own nervous and digestive systems. The mechanics are blissfully simple. You hand the host a credit card, they link it to a Golden Mill RFID card, and you instantly become a fully automated, self-regulating consumer. There are forty taps on the main wall downstairs and another sixteen up on the roof. They hold local craft beers, macro brews, ciders, wines, sake and even some premixed cocktails, all metered by the ounce. This setup creates a very specific kind of human delusion. When you are only pouring three ounces of a hazy IPA or two ounces of a heavy stout, your brain convinces itself that the laws of mathematics have been temporarily suspended. They have not. The ounces eventually conspire against you, and the tab can quietly evolve into a profound financial surprise the next morning. If you happen to get hungry during your experiments, there are five different food concepts scattered around the floor, covering everything from wood-fired barbecue and street tacos to sushi and fried chicken. If you are traveling with a group of friends whose dietary preferences have absolutely nothing in common, you can all wander off in different directions like stray livestock and reunite at the same table without a single argument. We took our glasses up to the rooftop patio. The view there is a strange study in scale. Below you is the rushing water of Clear Creek. Directly across the street sits the colossal industrial fortress of the Coors Brewery, churning out millions of barrels of macro-lager for the masses. There is a grand, quiet irony in standing on a roof, meticulously pouring four ounces of a highly specialized, small-batch sour beer while staring at one of the largest single-site breweries on the planet. When you are done, there is no agonizing wait for a server to bring a leather folder, and no competitive arithmetic over how to split the bill. You simply drop your plastic card into a collection box by the door and walk out into the Colorado night. The system automatically tallies your ounces and appends an 18% service fee to keep the house running smoothly. It is a wonderfully frictionless way to watch an afternoon accidentally become an evening.
