Service is good, views are gorgeous, the food was ok. Cooked well but bland and unexciting. Atmosphere and food was reminiscent of Sunday dinner out for older clientele. My son did enjoy his Tuscan Burger though. It was almost like a patty melt wrapped in a calzone.

Good Italian food in an unlikely spot! Unusual Italian flatbread served with garlic butter was fun. House salads and Caeser salads satisfied all. We split the Seafood Lasagna (after gorging in appetizers elsewhere) and were quite pleased with the flavor and portion size. On-site parking and great service.

This place is such a hidden gem! Apparently it has been there for 24 years and I can see why. Everything is made to order. Service was great. And I love their menu! I ordered an angel hair pasta dish and it was so so good! Great portions for the price. Kid friendly, cozy ambiance, with a fun looking bar area also. Will definitely be back!!

I mean just outstanding service! I love that Tate guy... handsome, kind and professional... the kind of waiter that just tickles your fancy. The ambience was spectacular, beautiful breath taking murals. The chicken parm, the food is 11/10. Love Rick and Tammy

This place is super cute and charming with an outdoor seating area facing a lake. When you come in the serve you with complimentary warm bread and garlic herb butter. My sister and I both ordered pasta dishes with side salads. The salads were okay, but the pasta dishes were both bland. The service here was good and the prices were reasonable.

Basically like a diner. Friendly staff, but nothing to write home about in terms of the food.

The Secret's Out: Why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge is Our Forever Favorite…read moreFor a few years now, my wife and I have considered this place our little "under-the-radar" sanctuary. But let's be honest--when a spot is this good, a secret stays a secret for about as long as a fresh loaf of their bread lasts on a table. (Which is to say: not long at all.) Here is why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge remains our absolute go-to: * The Vibe: The atmosphere strikes that perfect, rare balance between sophisticated and soulful. Whether you're there for a quiet morning reflective coffee or a lively evening drink, the ambiance just works. * The Bread (Oh, The Bread!): It's the undisputed star of the show. It's consistent, artisanal, and frankly, addictive. If you haven't tried it yet, consider this your formal intervention. * More Than Just a Bakery: They consistently turn out dishes that are as thoughtful as they are delicious. From the first bite to the last sip of coffee, you can tell the kitchen actually cares. * The People: A restaurant can have great decor, but it's the staff that gives it a heart. The team here couldn't be warmer or more attentive; they make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The Verdict? If you're looking for a spot that nails the transition from "morning bakery bliss" to "evening lounge elegance," this is it. We're already counting down the days until our next visit. Highly recommended--just don't be surprised if you have to fight us for a seat!

We were in Denver for the weekend. An old friend (maybe I should say "longtime friend") picked us…read moreup and drove us uphill to Echo Lake, which was lovely. And on our way back down we came to The Little Bear Saloon. A friend of his was in a band playing there that night. There was a $10 cover, which is fine with me, it all goes to the band/bands. We got there at 7:30 and the band started at 7:30 so there wasn't any seating in the main room, where the band was playing (obviously this is common sense but it was how our schedule worked out). Don't worry, we got a booth in the next room and it was still plenty loud. Our server was great, funny, and made sure we had our needs met. The food: ok, it is not great food. My dining companions had burgers and pizza. I opted for a Greek salad as I had eaten an entire dish of pork belly at the Denver Zoo, I'll write that review separately, and I needed something that was not greasy. The salad, it wasn't a traditional Greek salad but I did definitely appreciate it. Since the rest of the menu is rather limited and mostly pizza and burgers, I didn't know if it would be good. I'm kind of picky about lettuce. It was good though and I ate every bite, and also a slice of my daughter's pizza. The food overall was not very special and I wouldn't recommend making a trip here just for the food. But since we hadn't made a special trip here for the food I'm not taking off any points for that! It's a fun environment; the bands, the maximalist decor, the signed photos from so, so many musicians and bands that have played there over the years. Plus nearly every inch of the wood has been carved with the initials or names or messages from customers. I spent some time looking but only scratched the surface (so to speak) of exploring it all. The women's bathroom was a little bizarre, and according to the guys in my group the men's was even stranger. Everything was clean and functional so that was good. We all had a great time. My daughter bought a sweatshirt. On the train back to Omaha the conductor smiled and said "oh, the Little Bear Saloon? That's in Evergreen, right? Oh, I know that place!" He chuckled. I'm going to bet that there are a lot of people who can chuckle at their memories of the Little Bear Saloon.

My 23-year-old daughter was refused service because staff claimed her valid Nevada driver's license was fake. We completely understand the importance of checking IDs and complying with liquor laws, but the way the situation was handled was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. When I approached the bar to order a drink for myself and my daughter, I was largely ignored while staff discussed the situation amongst themselves. When my daughter presented her ID again, she was told it was fake because it did not pass a "flashlight test" and was sarcastically directed to a bar across the street that supposedly "accepts any IDs." What bothered us most was that multiple staff members openly discussed the situation in front of other customers and continued to watch and stare at our group throughout our visit. Rather than handling a concern privately and professionally, the interaction felt embarrassing, accusatory, and intentionally uncomfortable. If there was a legitimate concern about the ID, that would have been understandable. However, there is a professional way to address those concerns, and this was not it. The establishment itself has a lot of character, which is why we stopped in, but the customer service experience left such a negative impression that we will not be returning.

A restaurant with so much potential especially the kind of space they have with all sorts of charms…read morethat reflect the very ethnical traits, my yesterday's experience wasn't too bad and yet I noticed that the people who work there (they appeared to be the owner and his wife?) could utilize a bit more polished customer service skills. I mostly interacted with the man who was, from the get-go until I got my food and left, blunt with a frown look. Was he having a bad day or is he always that way? It was hard to fathom. I thus decided to give him the benefit of the doubt that it was his worst day (ha ha!) Since I tried to make it a better day for him, I said extra "Thank you" but I failed to soften his bluntness; he reacted each time with "Okay, I got you, just go" kind of attitude (LOL!!) Oh well! The food I got me for to-go was B7: Stir Fry Vegetables With Tofu Noodles Bowl ($17 as of late March of 2026). After finishing a side hustle job assignment at the nearby store, I was absolutely famished. I wanted some non-meat protein with lots of veggies so this dish simply popped out of the menu. Glad that I got this because... The dish was more than what it looked. Well-portioned with lots of veggies as the description of the dish on the menu says. I wish there were more tofu pieces however. Not to mention, the vermicelli noodles were also part of the ingredients. Everything was cooked in some light-colored sauce that was simply just right especially in the amount of salt. My type of food indeed. Would you believe it if I said that I devoured it in a matter of 15 minutes or so while chewing well? It hit the spot. This Evergreen neighborhood is not my normal activity area (as I have stated, I was in it due to my job assignment). I am not sure if I will be back to utilize the business ever. But if I do, my hope is that the service improves by then. If the workers are more hospitable with warmth, it will thrive in this mountain town; they surely can change the current rating of 3.5 stars.
