Mountain High Breakfast

Delicious breakfast and great service. The potatoes were my favorite and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I can't wait to go back again.

Great place for a quick coffee. Also, their double chocolate chip cookies are delicious. Totally recommend a visit

Quaint & intimate with the most pleasant staff & delicious food! The potatoes are like nothing I've had before & they were to die for! Normally I'm not much of a potato person but I couldn't stop eating these.

9/7/24 & 9/9/8/24 Wildflower Café has become a favorite for us! The first time my husband and I went, we sat outside due to how busy it was. We had the Wakey Eggs Bakey and Mountain High Breakfast--both hearty and delicious. We enjoyed it so much, we told our friends about it. On our second visit with friends, we sat inside and enjoyed the eccentric atmosphere. We ordered the Salmon Bennie (a delicious twist on eggs Benedict), a breakfast quesadilla, the Boring Breakfast, and another Mountain High Breakfast. Everything was made to order and served perfectly. Both times were fantastic, and we all loved our experiences!" Definitely recommend getting the salmon Bennie which isn't on the menu because they run out of it often. But ask for it just in case, you won't be disappointed!

Not sure we've ever enjoyed breakfast this much. My wife and I got breakfast skillets that were amazing. The guys there were excellent workers but we ate at the bar and were thoroughly entertained with their conversations. They were helpful with Colorado vacation ideas for us as well. Great ambience. Doing this every time we go to Colorado from now on. Easy call.

I visited the Wildflower Cafe in Evergreen on Easter, and it felt like stepping into a Hallmark movie. It's a tiny, adorable spot with the friendliest staff and the most delicious matcha pancakes I've ever had. I came from STL so I hope to make it here again.

If I lived even 50 miles away I would be sure to come here as often as possible. Really good menu with tasty options. My friend and I were visiting Denver and decided to stop on our way back to New Mexico. We had a lovely breakfast in this tiny cafe. We both had creative skillet meals that were very yummy. So good!

Sweet spot for a quiet and slow or quiet and quick breakfast. I enjoyed the classic Benedict. It was a bit salty but in a good way.

Cute, funky breakfast and lunch cafe in the heart of Evergreen. Expect a bit of a wait on the weekends. Like all good things in life, it's worth the wait. Wildflower Cafe is one of those places you'd see on the Travel Channel or Food Network. A small, humble spot serving the community big portions at good prices. You'll find some classic American fare with a sprinkling of Colorado influence. Coffees come in huge mugs and breakfast cocktails like mimosas, spritz' and tequila sunrises make the rounds to thirsty locals. +Smothered Steak & Eggs ($18) // wild potatoes, 8 oz. sirloin steak, house chili verde, cheddar and jack cheeses, two eggs, sourdough toast. Holy moses, I dare ya to finish the entire plate! First off, the wild potatoes are a specialty at Wildflower. These uniquely shaped fried potatoes are crispy and soft in the center. Just great! Their green chile was very good with plenty of flavor to boot. Sirloin was just a bit on the tougher side, probably not the finest cut known to man, but when it's smothered it's really not necessary. Shout out to the sourdough for being the butteriest toast I've ever had (that's a good thing!) Servers were hustling. We waited about 15 minutes before getting a table. After we were seated we were ignored for a bit too long, but then it all worked out. Small staff and let me tell you they were busy! In terms of a Rocky Mountain breakfast, Wildflower Cafe is all that and then some.

This is our favorite spot for breakfast! Everything we have tried has been so good! I did a skillet this past visit (cannot remember what it was called but it was veggie) and it was divine! The service is great, and we love sitting outside.

All the foods looked to be great. I was admiring the fish and chips next to me. The business was hopping busy for a Sunday afternoon. Everyone patronizing the establishment looked to be having a good time. Smiles abound. The wait staff was kind, knowdgeable and witty. The tye dye shirts with official branding were a nice touch. The location is great, a comfy brewpub with mountain views. Elk nearby. Ah, Evergreen. I will return. Check it out. You'll be glad you did. Excellent.

They opened over their flagship spot tucked away in Evergreen back in 2015. They've now expanded to a second location in the Ken Caryl/Littleton area (a massive operation!). This spot screams mountain town brewery and there's a reason there's always people here. Visited yesterday after a nearby hike. This is the type of place you want to go to after a hike. They were a little short staffed in the front, so we waited a bit for a table, but once we sat our server was great and put our orders in quickly. Server was rocking the entire patio and doing a top notch job! +The Stout One ($21) // Burger grilled to order and topped with applewood-smoked bleu cheese, stout-caramelized onions, marinated mushrooms, and garlic aioli on a locally sourced Harvest Moon brioche bun. Very tasty. A bit overcooked for what I requested, though the strong flavors from the bleu cheese and onions were great. Hearty portions for sure. For a burger priced higher than an Andrew Jackson bill, I wanted to be wowed. And for me, this particular burger didn't hit that bar, though it satisfied my burger craving. Lariat Lodge makes good beer and cans most of their offerings. So grab a sixer for the road to support a local brewery at home. I'll continue to come here and patronize them!

Blackbird Cafe - Mountain Brunch & Lunch - Salmon avocado toast was amazing!! We couldn't pass up a side of buttermilk pancakes also. You've got to go if you're in the area!

Blackbird is cutesy and inviting with brightly painted exterior (featuring butterflies and sunflowers), cozy and wooded interior, with one hell of a Creekside view. The layout inside is a little awkward - and entrance is right near the kitchen. However, we maneuvered to a table in the corner near the window - with a nice, sunny view and was greeted by a friendly face who gave us a rundown of the specials and allowed us ample time to peruse the menu. We decided to sip on Arnold palmers and split The Rachel - essentially a Turkey Ruben with a side of fries and sweet potato fries - because two types of fries is always the right choice! Within about 10 minutes, our food arrived, which was just what the doctor ordered. Splitting the meal was perfect, as the sandwich was huge. Mom's fries were delicious while my sweet potato fries were a little burnt, but still yummy. Service was friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our lunch date. Pricing is on point and reasonable for a cute mountain town. I'd easily return!

The location is pretty, but the noise level was crazy loud. There was a particularly noisy table with guys shouting and the rest of the restaurant had to yell to be heard. We had to shout our order to the staff just to be heard. The tables are wobbly--noticed several with plastic shims to help balance, and no, they don't take care of it before you sit down. We asked and the guy nearly tipped over our drinks on us. Started with our drinks. Ordered some specialty drinks and they left the Sprite out of what we ordered. They brought a carafe of Sprite and they had run out of syrup so it was club soda. They remade the drinks and all was well. Burrata appetizer was trying too hard. Too much going on with flavors. It was just okay. Lamb ragu was cooked well, but lacked flavor. Mussels, hopefully, won't get me sick. I had a bad batch and one mussel that was so bad that I had to spit it out and it soured my appetite so much so that I didn't order anything as a replacement. Paella special was over cooked. And the pasta primavera tasted like a curry. The best item of the night was the beet salad. When we got our check, it was crazy expensive for four people. $250! And that was with only one alcoholic drink! They also didn't take my mussels off the tab, which we had to point out and they corrected right away. Also didn't help that we could visually see our server complaining to the other servers about us. We were absolutely polite and kind to everyone helping and still left a nice tip because we've both worked in restaurants. It's a pretty location with overpriced food that isn't that tasty and a server who doesn't understand that when things get messed up, it's the restaurants job to remedy it--especially for the price that customers have to pay! Ridiculous.
