Had breakfast here this morning. I got Eggs Benedict. The sauce was ah-mazing, thick piece of tasty ham and potato's (kinda like this chips). It was SO GOOD! I had them add capers to my eggs which gave it a good little bite! If you're in Colorado it's a cut little "old town" area with a country western feel. This brunch really hit the spot after a walk around the lake and through town. We got the Buenos Dias Burrito (me) and the Mountain High with sausage and French toast (spouse). The breakfast "wild potatoes" are crispy and tasty, the green chile on the burrito was flavorful with just a hint of a kick, and the wild style eggs (they throw Parmesan on top) were an excellent upgrade. 9/7/24 & 9/9/8/24 Wildflower Café has become a favorite for us! The first time my husband and I went, we sat outside due to how busy it was. We had the Wakey Eggs Bakey and Mountain High Breakfast--both hearty and delicious. We enjoyed it so much, we told our friends about it. On our second visit with friends, we sat inside and enjoyed the eccentric atmosphere. We ordered the Salmon Bennie (a delicious twist on eggs Benedict), a breakfast quesadilla, the Boring Breakfast, and another Mountain High Breakfast. Everything was made to order and served perfectly. Both times were fantastic, and we all loved our experiences!" Definitely recommend getting the salmon Bennie which isn't on the menu because they run out of it often. But ask for it just in case, you won't be disappointed! read more

For gluten free individuals, specifically celiac, I would avoid. Food was just ok. Got an omelette and it was fine. It was labeled gluten free but then was told if I have celiac to avoid the potatoes and get fruit. Not sure how careful they are but I am pretty symptomatic and feel fine. Just a little disappointed that half the food I couldn't eat. Due to this I would be careful to order the "GFA" food. Since the meal I ordered was labeled fully gluten free and wasn't I would be worried about ordering one that could be made gluten free. read more

Not sure we've ever enjoyed breakfast this much. My wife and I got breakfast skillets that were amazing. The guys there were excellent workers but we ate at the bar and were thoroughly entertained with their conversations. They were helpful with Colorado vacation ideas for us as well. Great ambience. Wildflower Cafe is one of those places you'd see on the Travel Channel or Food Network. A small, humble spot serving the community big portions at good prices. Coffees come in huge mugs and breakfast cocktails like mimosas, spritz' and tequila sunrises make the rounds to thirsty locals. +Smothered Steak & Eggs ($18) // wild potatoes, 8 oz. sirloin steak, house chili verde, cheddar and jack cheeses, two eggs, sourdough toast. Holy moses, I dare ya to finish the entire plate! First off, the wild potatoes are a specialty at Wildflower. These uniquely shaped fried potatoes are crispy and soft in the center. Just great! Their green chile was very good with plenty of flavor to boot. Sirloin was just a bit on the tougher side, probably not the finest cut known to man, but when it's smothered it's really not necessary. Shout out to the sourdough for being the butteriest toast I've ever had (that's a good thing!) Servers were hustling. We waited about 15 minutes before getting a table. After we were seated we were ignored for a bit too long, but then it all worked out. Small staff and let me tell you they were busy! Ordered the BLTA, added turkey, asked to leave off tomato. They forgot the avocado, tomato was put on but removed as I could see the seeds. Two thinly slices of Turkey. I would go back as an Evergreen local but I will never order this sandwich again. Our in-laws brought us here as they frequent it and the local town(s) fairly often. And I would agree with them - the food is good, quality, and reasonably priced with all relative options. They also claim it's "better" than [the spot] down the road and I'd probably agree based on the sample we got. It's clearly busy for brunch but worth the wait, even if the seating is cramped but good for them. We enjoyed a variety of their skillets. I'd go back. read more

Had a wonderful lunch here around noon on Saturday. Was super crowded when we got there and when we came back around 15 min later everyone was leaving and the crowd was over. We sat outside which was nice. The benches are a bit uncomfortable and the tables felt cramped even with just food and drinks for two people. We ordered the smothered steak and eggs and the stuffed French toast. The smothered steak and eggs was amazing. The chili is vegetarian and the steak was cooked nicely more close to a medium though. The side potatoes had a fun shape and were so delicious. The toast was also really great. The stuffed French toast was so good and I even forgot they gave us syrup for the side. It was stuffed with strawberry cream cheese and it was super yummy. I was stuffed sharing both of these dishes. Service was friendly and quick even though they were busy. Either seat us or say, I'm sorry we are closing. Don't say how inconvenienced you are that we are here. Rude and poor representation of Evergreen and the restaurant. A hopping place in Evergreen, we stopped in here around 1:40pm looking for a late lunch on Easter Sunday. They closed at 2, so we made sure they were still willing to seat us, and the very friendly waitress said of course. We liked the small festive touch of the Easter candies hidden in the coffee creamer bowl. This has a cozy hole-in-wall charm to it, with funky murals all over the walls and a very limited dining space. I went for the burger. The patty was a generous size, but I wish the meat itself had a bit more flavor. The burger was really relying on the toppings to give it the oomph, but it just felt like something was missing. read more

This is a few weeks late, but no less spirited... Wildflower Cafe in Evergreen, CO is the absolute epitome of delicious mountain creativity. Pictured here is the Chorizo Skillet and the Papas y Queso. One of the things that I don't like as a restaurant patron is to order my favorite dish, and have it be different every time. There's definitely no worries about that here! It makes me salivate each and every time! Everything is cooked perfectly, and the combination of items complement one another like peanut butter and chocolate (hey, I love Reeses). There is absolutely nothing I'd change about my Papas As if the delectable food choices weren't enough, the employees put the proverbial icing on the cake. We absolutely love these people, and go out of our way when we're in town to visit. I look forward to BSing with them and exchanging hugs. It's a second family. ...and how could you deny that these Boob-berry pancakes aren't just the bee's knees?
