    Socal Breakfast Hash

This was a leisurely Saturday morning breakfast with our college student home for the weekend. We were a bit later in the morning and after welcoming us we were seated right away. The place was bustling with activity but not over crowded. My husband ordered the bacon cheddar corn bread with whipped honey butter for the table. This was quite tasty. I would get that again. I got my coffee as I am the only coffee drinker in the family. I like that they put a pot on the table. My daughter went with the Belgian Waffle. It came with a mixed berry compote a dusting of powdered cinnamon sugar and a scoop of the same honey butter we had with our cornbread. My husband chose the SoCal Breakfast Hash. This included bacon, grilled chicken breast, black beans, pickled sweet peppers and cheddar-jack cheese in a potato hash. It was topped with two eggs that he got sunny side up, avocado slices, pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, scallions and jalapeño crema. There was so much going on in this dish. It also came with two warm tortillas. He enjoyed it and even took a portion home for the next day. I got the BLT Benedict. I love a good benedict and this did not disappoint. There were two poached eggs on top of toasted ciabatta with bacon, sliced tomato, avocado and lemon-dressed arugula and smothered with hollandaise. It was served with lemon-dressed mixed greens. Each bite was delicious. I love having a side salad with a breakfast so the mixed greens were a perfect accompaniment. We all enjoyed our meals. Our server mentioned he was still training, but he did a great job.

Im usually not fond of chain restaurants because their quality tends to be on the lower end, but First Watch does a great job of making you feel like you're going to a local joint. Service was pretty good, I just took a bar top seat. I ordered an omelette and it was made to order however the eggs were kinda rubbery, other than that everything else was delicious. The ice latte I got was their seasonal mint chocolate latte with cold foam on top. Superizingly mint and coffee went well together, really loved the addition of the cold foam and chocolate liquor. Definitely worth stopping by with friends!

Really good breakfast plates with quality ingredients, ample portions & well-plated - especially for a chain.

I remember coming here when it used to be Chili's. The owners of First Watch did a great job of redoing this space. The interior space is beautifully decorated with plenty of natural light and a very nice bar area. We stopped by for Saturday brunch, and it was decently crowded. Only had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. Taylor was our waitress and she was great! We tried the Chickichanga, Florida French Toast, and Plain Pancakes. Each dish was flavorful and fresh. Will have to come back to try other dishes and drinks! Highly recommend visiting First Watch for a great dining experience.

Man, how fortunate am I that I picked it! The Mexican skillet with chorizo, potatoes, green chili... Wow! Honestly, the best breakfast skillet that I've ever had! Eggs were cooked just the way I wanted, everything was delicious and the thing I appreciated most- I didn't even have to think about grabbing the hot sauce! Everything had a good kick to it, spicy and fantastic! I can't wait to come back!

The menu made no reference to such a fee, and no one mentioned it when I ordered. I don't object to restaurants charging for extras, but I do take issue with a lack of transparency. A dollar-fifty for a single ounce, presented without warning, feels needlessly opaque and rather petty. It detracted from an otherwise decent meal and left me questioning the broader approach to customer care. A simple, upfront note--or a brief verbal heads-up--would resolve the issue entirely and raise the experience to the standard one expects. As it stands, it left a faintly sour impression wholly disproportionate to the amount of sour cream involved.

With lots of folks thinking the same thing, we slipped in and grabbed a buzzer to keep us company for the 15 minute wait. Just a short 10 minutes later, we sat down at a four top and soon had four massive mason jars of water sliding across the table to us. I had been eying their Cucumber and Fire cocktail while waiting and it didn't disappoint. The refreshing cucumber balanced the jalapeño really well. Yum. The parents split a fabulous looking French Dip and rated it well (4 outta 5 stars). Their massive fans and we're looking for a bit more flavor in the horseradish dip for a perfect score. Not bad. Me? I ordered the Melted Monk sandwich with tomato bisque. I nixed the kettle chips. Absolute fan of the bisque. I could have had a gallon of it - really flavorful with great mouth feel. So good. I wasn't a fan of the Melted Monk sandwich, but also wasn't sure how the green apple slices would pair with the caramelized onions and raclette cheese, on cranberry walnut bread. Sounded interesting. Not bad, but wouldn't order it again. That aside, I'm still a fan. Teller's has always been a great choice and I'll return to some of my favorites next time. Never hurts to try something new! My guy raved about his Ahi Burger, and man, it was so much food. His tots were so good! I'm likely ordering this next time. Also - I almost forgot! The oysters were amazing - under fresh, if you can believe it. Teller's gets 6 deliveries a week of seafood. It totally shows. Yum.

First, my pre-requisites for saying so: I've been with a high-end hotel company/restaurants for 15+ years. Nothing shocks me anymore. But I also know and have witnessed proper decorum as a manager. DAMON needs re-training and/or a new career all together. What happened: I vape, just nicotine. It's kind of second nature, and I do catch myself doing it when I'm not supposed to, and usually catch myself, however, I did not today. So the fact that I did vape when I wasn't suppose to is a 1000% on me. However, his "scolding" he gave me, triggered a trauma response. The way and how he said "DO NOT VAPE," sent chills. My immediate response was "I'm, sorry, sir." I'm aware, this sounds dramatic. But it's true. I'm a tough cookie, and definitely not a sensitive snowflake. My biggest issue though, is he's working with 90% women, scantily clad, at that! I can't be the only woman whom has stepped foot in that place that has felt utterly creeped out and offended by his demeanor. Regardless of my female feelings, that is NO WAY, to speak to a paying guest. EVER. PERIOD. We will still come back, as we are moving to Lakewood from out of state, and hope for the sake of all the beautiful, talented women there, that he is not there when we come back!!

Would be a GREAT place to have appetizers and drinks before a bachelor party. Waitresses were all friendly and efficient and scantily clad, and that's the "appeal". Food was very mediocre. Chicken in the chicken cob had a variety of temperatures from stone cold to very warm. It was also saturated in dressing. Maybe 1/4 of the amount of dressing would have been sufficient. On the plus side the presentation was good. My companion had quesabirria tacos which were very greasy and overdone. On the plus side she said 1/2 of one of the three tacos was sufficient. Chips and salsa appetizer was pretty good. The salsa has a good flavor and the chips were fresh. Sweet tea was good. Here's the takeaway: if you're looking for a fine dining experience I would skip it. If you're out for a night on the town with the boys and drinks you're in luck! The staff were all efficient and the restaurant was clean and comfortable enough. I suppose if the choice were Twin Peaks or Hooters it would be a toss up. They also never went back to a printed menu after co vid, and, to me, that's annoying. You have a printed bar menu but not a food menu? We won't return, just not what I prefer for a $50 lunch ticket.
