We love Yanna's! Over the years, they've been our fail-safe breakfast when we don't feel like cooking or driving too far. Pickup or dine in - they take care of you. Consistently good food, and the breakfast burritos are consistently enough for two meals. The last time we dined in, we overheard THE Yanna talking with some patrons! Went in the place was completely dead. Waitress asks what we'd like to drink in order an oj my friend ordered a coffee. Waitress brought out two coffees. I didn't say anything that's fine. She says she "forgot her book" and will be right back. 2nd table comes in. She helps them takes there order than comes back for our order. This time very rude. Takes our order, walks away straight to the 2nd server says something about my table obviously. 2nd server comes up "sorry she forgot her book but I can help you". All while our original server is helping the other tables just fine. I'd really like to know what her problem was? Could this be discrimination? Food was good. This place was still noisy but much less than any other sushi/bar I've ever been in. I had the Tiger Roll and it was new to me but excellent--I'll probably order it again, even at other sushi bars. I had bourbon on the rocks and there were no rocks, just a slushy kind of ice. Cost them one star. Service was good and tables weren't jammed up to each other which was relaxing. Delightful Café! It's very spacious, fairly quiet, calming decor, and clean. They have specials between 6 and 9 AM for breakfast. They have a senior menu for lunch. We just got eggs and toast today. Only downside is that the food could've been served hotter, hence, the four-star rating. The food was tasty. read more

We were in Yanna's for lunch last week, Gia was our server. My mother in law was craving liver and onions (ew) and asked if they had that dish. Gia (one of the daughters of the owners) said that if we came back in today, they would get liver and onions and make it special for my MIL. What a great place! Went there in the morning, ordered a chicken fajita burrito. I was excited to try this place since it had a good rating but ugh ! I took it home and took a bite. the chicken was rancid. I should have known ordering a chicken fajita in the morning and getting it in 2 minutes. I called them immediately. They seemed very rude and they told me the owner would call back but never did. Huge menu here with lots of choices. I had the Italian skillet which came with Italian sausage, home fries and two eggs on top, as well as a choice of toast or pancake. Pretty cool old style diner located in a shopping plaza in the Lakewood suburb of Denver. Very non impressive from the outside but the inside had a very old timey feel and was pretty busy with locals. If the menu had some crazy stuff, triple D might come by. We got a hamburger plate and a Mazatlan skillet. Portions were very good and the taste was solid. Burger and fries were well cooked and had a home made taste to it. The skillet was heavy and solid. The food quality was good. The bummer was that the restaurant said they could handle our group of roughly 20 folks-12 Little League players and roughly 8 parents. I can not begin to express how truly grateful I am for this place. I have been coming here for years with my little old daughter since she was in second grade. Back then we didn't have a car and we use to walk here. I'm in tears right now thinking about it. This restaurant has always consistently provided a safe, and great family environment for us to come and enjoy their amazing food. They have always had amazing customer service; great tasting food; and such a great ambiance. Today I was frustrated after going to the burrito company for breakfast and they were closed. Then we went to Santiagos where they told us they were done selling breakfast at 11am And treated us rudely. But then I came to Yannas Cafe; and our servers understood that I was frustrated and Gia the waiter was so kind to us. She went above and beyond for us and the food was absolutely amazing. Ordered takeout from here today and was blown away. Best Greek we've had in awhile. We ordered the Gyro and the Chicken Souvlaki sandwich's. Despite this place having been here forever, I had never been in before. But, a couple friends had recommended it to me. So, when I found myself driving the other weekend with some time to kill before the chiropractor opened, I swung by. I grabbed a seat at the counter. The stools are not particularly comfortable, which explains my lack of neighbors at the countertop. I got the egg/meat/potato special. They were willing to give me a veggie side (tomato slices) instead of toast. The crisp bacon was close to perfect. The basted eggs were a tad more done than I like. The potatoes had a nice crust. Service is exactly what you expect from a diner, Not exuberant, just totally normal. It's fairly clean inside for the most part, the bathrooms may be a little dirty, but nothing I was too worried about. Friday afternoon. 2pm ish. The onion ring appetizer was slightly under portion for the price, but the onion rings were crispy and decent. My veggie skillet was exactly what I was expecting; decent portions, and a fair price. Both of my kids had French toast. The French toast was super crispy and delicious. Neither one of my kids like bacon or sausage too much so they each ordered fruit instead of the meat. The fruit was like a cheap fruit cocktail mix. I would avoid this. It wasn't very good. That was my only complaint though, with that said, we will be back if we were in the area again. read more

From their Simple Menu, in which many items to choose we opt to have the following items : * Steak Fajitas Omelet $9.95 with choice of Pancakes * Gyro Sandwich with Fries $8.25 * Coffee Our lovely server, make sure Hubs Coffee is filled periodically. Though I cannot deny, the need to train the staff/server better coz she told us, she is new, working at Yanna's Café. She came back like twice, coz she was not sure about the Ingredients of certain dishes, that I ask about. In terms of food, its huge portions. Hubs is OK with what he had, though I cannot deny, maybe Hubs is too hungry that he finished everything. The Steak Fajitas Omelet, comes with Onions, Mushrooms, Peppers, Ribeye Strips and Cheddar Cheese. Well most of the time, Hubs always finished his Brunch/Lunch, unless there are plenty for Leftovers. Since I already had Brunch with my friends, I ate some of the Fries and Gyro, and even have some Leftovers. The Gyro is the "standard" kind of Gyro. Nothing stood out, NOTHING WOW me. *SIGH* All in all a Decent Diner, though I would not drive all the way just to have Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch here. Hard to beat this place if you're in Lakewood. We live in Colorado Springs but any time we're in Lakewood we stop at Yanna's. The staff are friendly and efficient. And the food is very good and well-priced. If you're looking for some overly-fashionable cafe with mirrors and glass all over, this is not the place. Thankfully!! After reading reviews on Yelp my workmate and I decided to give this place a try for lunch. After reading the menu we both decided on breakfast skillets - I had the Yanna's skillet with bacon, loads of potatoes, onions, cheese and eggs, my workmate had the Greek skillet, pretty much the same with gyro meat instead of bacon. I made the mistake of ordering a side of sausage links - a mistake not because the sausage was bad -quite the opposite - three thick and delicious links of a not-spicy sausage - but because the breakfast skillets were *huge*. I'm a big guy and can put down a lot of food when I'm hungry, but there's no way I could eat even 3/4 of this meal - it was the size of my head. The restaurant was quite busy - I'm guessing there were customers at maybe 20 tables. Two harried but very pleasant waitresses were serving triple duty, also busing and cashiering. It was day #4 on the job for one of them, and the service understandably got slow. They kept apologizing as they whizzed past our table delivering piping hot piles of goodness to the other patrons. Every meal that passed us looked delicious. Their apologies made us chuckle, as it was perfectly clear that they were working as hard and fast as possible - when service is slow for that reason it's ridiculous to get upset. I'll be sure to return here some day when I'm really, really hungry. For the adventurous, they have a six-egg breakfast burrito loaded with everything but the kitchen sink and other menu items that are much larger than the very generous skillets. read more
