All I can say is good good. Coldest beer and reasonable prices. Food is excellent from chicken to shrimp this place almost has it all.

Nope! Local here. I've been eating at this location for the last 3 or 4 tenants.. about 10 years. Until recently, The Bait Shack was the go-to spot for.. chicken! I know, unorthodox, but it was! Their fried chicken sandwich and fingers were awesome; large, well seasoned, juicy. No more. Ordered two chicken sandwiches and an order of fingers ($54). The chicken sandwiches were a huge disappointment compared to just a few months ago. Small, dry, under seasoned. The fingers were even drier and almost a joke. Random side note; the ranch dressing is now disgusting.. wtf? Head to Wendy's, same quality sandwich, half the time and half the cost.

So...we really wanted to like this place. I know I know it's soooo cliche here on Yelp! But it's so true. We should've known better right when we walked in. The overwhelming smell of old fish was strong, not in a good way. But it was cute, the reviews were good and I figured hey, it's a fish place. Of course it's gonna have a fishy aroma. We went upstairs to the bar/dining area and sat by the window. The view was incredible, that's the two stars. I believe I took a picture so that just gives you one point of view. However, there was a dead yellow jacket right there missing his head. Not sure what violence befell him but it's clear his dead carcass was left as a warning to other such insects...Beware! Do Not Enter! Death Awaits You!! Our server was on the quiet side. I later understood it was because he was not only our server but the bartender and seemed to be doing pretty much everything on his own. This was going on while another coworker of his was chatting and having a good time with either her friends or customers... Not sure which. She did come over to ask us if we were OK...after he had already served us everything. I ordered the jambalaya bowl and my husband ordered the grilled fish tacos. The jambalaya bowl was more of a cup, it was lukewarm, it desperately needs salt and spice, the chicken was almost non existent and the shrimp were itty bitty tiny lil things. It tasted vaguely like Campbell's chunky jambalaya soup healthy request. But that wasn't the worst of it... No not by a long shot. The fish tacos... Oh.my.lawd!!! As I was bending over to take a bite of my jambalaya the smell of the fish tacos slapped me in the face then slap the other side of my face and then punched me directly in the nose. It smelled like a five day old fish that had been sitting in the sun. I kid you not. We both didn't wanna waste our money so we ate what was given to us. I only took one bite of the tacos and almost vomited. Now I am vaguely nauseous. We really love the decor, the view and our server was very attentive despite being the only one working upstairs. But we will never, ever, ever come back to this place.

Been wanting to come here since I moved to Colorado and finally went on some rainy day last week. It was very relaxing and is in a great location in Evergreen. Great place to people watch and have a beer. Food took awhile but they looked short staffed so we didn't mind! Cheese curds were great and so was the chicken sandwich! I can't wait to go back and bring my friends next time

I'm in love with this little tavern! Don't be fooled by the little "shack" appearance on the outside! It's the coziest little small town bar around! The minute we walked in we were welcomed by locals and had amazing friendly service! The food was excellent! We had the peeled shrimp and catfish bites! I will for sure make the 45 min drive to Evergreen and hangout at this cool place again!

We stopped here after visiting the downtown Christmas festival. It's a neat tavern, with delicious food and fabulous service. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly! I can't wait to visit again!!

This is my perfect bar. Leave your pretense at the door. Great vibe, great staff, stellar owner, and Cajun eats. Can't get much better.

I was torn between the swedish meatballs and the birria French dip, I got one and my friend got the other. Both were unique in their own way. It was so filing. Plenty of sides. My husband got sausage sandwich, and he said it was flavorful. The salt and vinager chips were different, most of our table did not like them. The waiter was very busy but nice. It took a monent to get our check. I wasn't ever asked if I wanted another beer. I fell like they are more a restaurant than a brewery. They have their core beers, nothing posted about flights or the new rotating beers. Not even a little slip of paper explaining the new beers.

We wanted to love it. Unfortunately it fell short…read more Sometimes there are just those nights when multiple things go wrong. We were the needy table tonight. The location is pretty, but the noise level was crazy loud. There was a particularly noisy table with guys shouting and the rest of the restaurant had to yell to be heard. We had to shout our order to the staff just to be heard. The tables are wobbly--noticed several with plastic shims to help balance, and no, they don't take care of it before you sit down. We asked and the guy nearly tipped over our drinks on us. Started with our drinks. Ordered some specialty drinks and they left the Sprite out of what we ordered. They brought a carafe of Sprite and they had run out of syrup so it was club soda. They remade the drinks and all was well. Burrata appetizer was trying too hard. Too much going on with flavors. It was just okay. Lamb ragu was cooked well, but lacked flavor. Mussels, hopefully, won't get me sick. I had a bad batch and one mussel that was so bad that I had to spit it out and it soured my appetite so much so that I didn't order anything as a replacement. Paella special was over cooked. And the pasta primavera tasted like a curry. The best item of the night was the beet salad. When we got our check, it was crazy expensive for four people. $250! And that was with only one alcoholic drink! They also didn't take my mussels off the tab, which we had to point out and they corrected right away. Also didn't help that we could visually see our server complaining to the other servers about us. We were absolutely polite and kind to everyone helping and still left a nice tip because we've both worked in restaurants. It's a pretty location with overpriced food that isn't that tasty and a server who doesn't understand that when things get messed up, it's the restaurants job to remedy it--especially for the price that customers have to pay! Ridiculous.
