The menu has many classics including gyros, shawarma, kabobs, and the fresh pita bread is a home run. Chicken tika masala 9/10 The pictures can't describe how creamy the sauce was. So rich in color, deep with flavor and the filled with chicken chunks. Of course, you have to dip the fresh baked pita bread into this to appreciate how amazing it was. Gyros 9/10 The gyro plate was more of a platter loaded with beef and lamb. The spices on the meat were so delicious and cooked to perfection. Grape leaves - I like that it wasn't sour. It was a neutral taste. Usually at other places, it tastes sour. Falafel - same thing as grape leaves. Neutral flavor. It was crispy. Hummus - same thing as the rest of the food. It needed some garlic, lemon, and nutty flavor. Turkish Coffee - it's Turkish coffee. Some newer staff but great service. Chicken shawarma platter with half hummus and half baba s a favorite. The two skewer platter with chicken always makes me happy. Rice. Hummus. Salad. We always start with the falafel which could be a meal in itself. Well done. Crunchy and soft served with tahini or hummus. My favorite thing here. Alas I wish I can say the same about their Beef Shawerma sandwich, it has none of the authintic Shawerma spice, neither the tender meat nor the appearance, also the bread used to make the wrap is the wrong stuff. seems a anovice attempting to recreat an online Shawerma recipe posted by someone who has no idea what shawerma sandwich tastes or look like l was disapointed. Wow! This place is amazing. I got the Meat Combo which includes lamb, chicken, kafta, salad, hummus, bread, and rice. Each meat was juicy and flavorful- NOT DRY! Even their yogurt dip (maybe shallot yogurt?) had so much depth and flavor. The rice was cooked to perfection and their pita is one of my favorites in Colorado! I wish they included a traditional cucumber salad or grilled tomatoes instead of the salad that is included, but it was still a nice fresh break. I just wish it was not drenched in dressing. It wasn't flavorful and it was a little too watery for me. The lentils were also blended. Hummus: 3 stars it definitely had this bitter after taste. Consistency was good, it wasn't too thick but I've had better Hummus. Chicken Shawarma plate: 5 stars it definitely hit the spot. The chicken was very tender, everything was well seasoned where one ingredient was more overpowering than the other. Shawarma wasn't greasy like other places. The rice thar came with it was also really fluffy and tasty. The salad tho just seems more like an after thought. I would like to try a different dish next time I visit. Walked in around 3:30, the awkward post-lunch, pre-dinner time. It was fairly empty. Service was very prompt and food came out quickly. I got the Amir platter so I could try a little bit of everything. I was disappointed by the grape leaves to be honest, they were a bit hard and flavorless. The side house salad just had Italian dressing which felt out of place. The meat was well grilled and the hummus and baba was tasty. I also enjoyed the falafel. Nut allergy warning: Of course the baklava has nuts and therefore there is risk of cross contamination, but I was fine with everything we ordered. We were lucky enough to get a table for 12 walking in on a Friday evening. Service was pretty quick, with dishes coming out within 15 minutes of ordering. The value here is incredible! We were able to feed 12 people with two sampler platters, two pizzas, and a few orders of kabobs and extra falafel. Everything was delicious. The kabobs were incredibly tender. Their garlic dip went perfectly with the crispy and soft pita bread. Falafel was still crispy on the outside but perfect inside. Second visit. First visit, the lamb shanks were tasteless. This time I ordered a takeout Greek salad with chicken. The salad was NOTHING like the photo. The HOT, tiny pieces of chicken were thrown on top of the entire salad, wilting everything. There were NO cucumbers and NO cherry/plum tomatoes. 1.5 years later, I'm finally visiting Amir Grill in-person. WEIRDLY, I kinda like ordering takeout from them more. The menu isn't as comprehensive, though they obviously serve the same things. Everything they serve here tastes fresh. My favorite thing to order is the Lamb Kebab plate. I've never really tried anything else. Service was interesting. Not stand offish, but also not attentive. We served ourselves water from a soda machine but were never actually told to do so? THE FOOD IS DELCIOUS AND MORE THAN REASONABLY PRICED!! Our ticket for 3 people during lunch hour was roughly $45. Im not sure that I'll be back, but it is worth a shot.
