Delicious food and one of my favorite spots for middle eastern food in Colorado. Will be back.

It's been a minute since I ate Lebanese and Mediterranean food, but this was a good reminder of why I love the food. Here, you're getting great service, music and ambiance. The menu has many classics including gyros, shawarma, kabobs, and the fresh pita bread is a home run. Chicken tika masala 9/10 The pictures can't describe how creamy the sauce was. So rich in color, deep with flavor and the filled with chicken chunks. Of course, you have to dip the fresh baked pita bread into this to appreciate how amazing it was. Gyros 9/10 The gyro plate was more of a platter loaded with beef and lamb. The spices on the meat were so delicious and cooked to perfection. Every bite was balanced with the coolness from the hummus and lightness of the rice. We were treated to a sample of the Turkish coffee. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised how light and aromatic it was. Gyro pizza (red sauce) with garlic sauce to dip 2 one for each of us. It was ok. Garlic sauce was really good . Wouldn't get this pizza again. Baba ghanoush appetizer with two big pitas. Way more sauce than pita. Ok. Next time want to try the Amir pizza with gyro- I think that's what my previous reviews were recommending. I married a Lebanese man. Coming from out of state and finding this gem was initially exciting. Service and food were okay. Husband says no, we won't be back. Grape leaves - I like that it wasn't sour. It was a neutral taste. Usually at other places, it tastes sour. Falafel - same thing as grape leaves. Neutral flavor. It was crispy. Hummus - same thing as the rest of the food. It needed some garlic, lemon, and nutty flavor. Turkish Coffee - it's Turkish coffee. They didn't wait for the coffee to cool and the grounds to settle, so a quarter of the cup was filled with mostly coffee grounds. read more

It seems Pointless to review this too often but it's consistently a five star experience. We come every time we are in Golden for a hike. Service is always spot on. Some newer staff but great service. Chicken shawarma platter with half hummus and half baba s a favorite. The two skewer platter with chicken always makes me happy. Rice. Hummus. Salad. We always start with the falafel which could be a meal in itself. Well done. Crunchy and soft served with tahini or hummus. My favorite thing here. The fresh hot bread or pita is always piping hot out of the oven and more than enough for two. This is really one of the things that separates Amir from other Lebanese or middle eastern restaurants. This food is nothing less than amazing. All of the meats are so fresh and the rice is perfectly cooked. All the portions are large and cooked fresh. When I ordered I've never seen such a big pita bread in my entire life. The ambience is amazing. All the booths are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and courteous. The drinks are amazing. Food is just plain delicious. They let my friend get lunch special right at ending time. We also got the sampler appetizer and myself the lamb kabobs. If looking for authnticly tasting Falafel and none of that restaurant chain crab, can't go wrong with Amir Falafel. Alas I wish I can say the same about their Beef Shawerma sandwich, it has none of the authintic Shawerma spice, neither the tender meat nor the appearance, also the bread used to make the wrap is the wrong stuff. seems a anovice attempting to recreat an online Shawerma recipe posted by someone who has no idea what shawerma sandwich tastes or look like l was disapointed. But will give them another just to see what their other dishes tast like. read more

Excellent middle eastern food. The fresh pita was out of this world. Had the sampler platter and half a pound of chicken shawarma. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and enjoyed the music. Reasonable prices for the amount of food you get and the quality. read more

Wow! This place is amazing. I got the Meat Combo which includes lamb, chicken, kafta, salad, hummus, bread, and rice. Each meat was juicy and flavorful- NOT DRY! Even their yogurt dip (maybe shallot yogurt?) had so much depth and flavor. The rice was cooked to perfection and their pita is one of my favorites in Colorado! I wish they included a traditional cucumber salad or grilled tomatoes instead of the salad that is included, but it was still a nice fresh break. I just wish it was not drenched in dressing. The waiter never came to our table. We had to go seek him out and ask about our food. He repeatedly told us it was coming up in 5 minutes or less but it did not actually arrive. It took over an hour after we ordered for the food to arrive. When it did arrive, the food was oily and made my husband sick. We also received a pita bread much early before the main entree arrived so it was cold before we got the rest of our food. Additionally, they never even asked if our 3.5 year old wanted a dish of his own or even a glass of water. It seemed like the to go orders were prioritized as those people seemed to be getting their food quickly. read more

If they were only good at cooking, they'd be a great place. But they're not just good at cooking, they're very good at cooking AND they're friendly, the space is pleasant, and their prices are fair. This is my go-to Middle Eastern spot when coming back from the mountains. It'd be my weekly or twice weekly spot, except that it's 30 miles from my house. read more

Came here because this place is one of my friends favorite. Maybe he hyped it up too much for me? Lentil soup: 2 stars not really what i was expecting. It wasn't flavorful and it was a little too watery for me. The lentils were also blended. Hummus: 3 stars it definitely had this bitter after taste. Consistency was good, it wasn't too thick but I've had better Hummus. Chicken Shawarma plate: 5 stars it definitely hit the spot. The chicken was very tender, everything was well seasoned where one ingredient was more overpowering than the other. Shawarma wasn't greasy like other places. The rice thar came with it was also really fluffy and tasty. The salad tho just seems more like an after thought. I would like to try a different dish next time I visit. I'll definitely be back and give this place another try! Overall a solid 4 for me. read more

Service was good. It was quite empty when we first arrived; A few more tables came in after that. Iced tea was from a fountain but surprisingly tasty! We ordered the dolmas, hummus with pita (must get!!!!) and Greek salads with gyro meat. The Greek salads had pickles on it, which I did not like and ended up picking them off. Our friends in Golden took us to this restaurant. I loved this place. I had lamb kabob and everything was so tasty.

The hummus, baba ganoush and garlic dip are truly the stars of the show. Also their pita is phenomenal. Outside of that, it is mediocre at best. All of their meats, especially their lamb, is overcooked. Their standard is well done lamb - which is uncharacteristic for Lamb - and their chops are PAPER THIN. We visited with a reservation for a party of 6 about a week ago. That said, we came in and the restaurant was pretty empty, with a good takeout business. It did get busier in the restaurant, but not packed. That said, they were severely understaffed. We ordered and it took forever. FOREVER. Probably about an hour. Also, the food was staggered coming out, with the last item coming out fifteen minutes after everything else. I actually noticed the last of our order in the window sitting there for about 10 minutes, to which I asked another staff (not our waiter) if he could grab it for us. He walked over, looked at it, another employee said something in a different language and he walked away. Our waiter then delivered it five minutes later. It was my child's pizza (3 years old). Like come on! Waiting an hour for a pizza, then it was the last thing to come out, 15 minutes after everyone's food. No one likes a hangry 3 year old. It was really interesting because no one helped tables that weren't theirs. We never got refills on our drinks. Their soda machine is customer facing, so after waiting 20 minutes, I went to fill it myself. When another person from our table went to do it as well, they were scolded. We never had anyone check to make sure our food was satisfactory. Overall, very underwhelmed. Ali Baba in the same area is far superior, better service and out of this world Mediterranean cuisine. read more

Walked in around 3:30, the awkward post-lunch, pre-dinner time. It was fairly empty. Service was very prompt and food came out quickly. I got the Amir platter so I could try a little bit of everything. I was disappointed by the grape leaves to be honest, they were a bit hard and flavorless. The side house salad just had Italian dressing which felt out of place. The meat was well grilled and the hummus and baba was tasty. I also enjoyed the falafel. The highlight of course was the pita which was huge and fun to eat. Plenty of indoor seating and parking since it's in a strip mall. read more

Nut allergy warning: Of course the baklava has nuts and therefore there is risk of cross contamination, but I was fine with everything we ordered. We were lucky enough to get a table for 12 walking in on a Friday evening. Service was pretty quick, with dishes coming out within 15 minutes of ordering. The value here is incredible! We were able to feed 12 people with two sampler platters, two pizzas, and a few orders of kabobs and extra falafel. Everything was delicious. The kabobs were incredibly tender. Their garlic dip went perfectly with the crispy and soft pita bread. Falafel was still crispy on the outside but perfect inside. Huge recommend for groups small and large for delicious Mediterranean. read more
