Rooftop Tavern was a stop prior to seeing a concert at RedRocks. The drink and food was amazing. Service was good but they were busier than normal due to the upcoming concert I'm sure. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us one bit. It actually helped us relax and enjoy the time together. We had the charcuterie and a pasta dish. It all tasted so fresh which really made it a must stop for next time. We were seated outside on the patio and the weather that day was great for being outside. The 3 meatballs was also super tasty - great marinara, and a good choice either as a shareable or a standalone meal. After watching the giant Bavarian pretzel get delivered at another table, we ended up ordering one, too. Super soft, perfectly salted, and the Calabrian Chili Cheese was the best sauce for dipping. Good drink menu. Had a good canned cider, which is always a plus. I saw this place while driving out of red rock amphitheater. I was confused at first. The bottom floor is an Italian restaurant. The top is the tavern. I wanted a salad, but I also wanted some carbs. So, I ordered the cheesy garlic bread. I was expecting something totally different. It was good, but it was a lot. It was four thick slices of bread with lots of butter and cheese. It was delicious, but I could only finish one. The Brussel sprout salad was perfect. It had good size chunks of cheese and pancetta. The place has three areas. It has the open rooftop that faces the street. It has shade from the trees and it is a perfect spot for people watching. They also have an inside area where the bar is located. Amazing gem in adorable town. Perfect spot after a long hike in the mountains. Owner Rezza is AWESOME!! Hospitality was 10/10. He saw we had two dogs and brought out water bowls for both and meatballs on the house. Even offered us blankets since the breeze picked up. They only had bar service on the back patio but bartender (Danielle I think) was sweet enough to wait on our table for the duration of our visit. We always appreciate the great views at Rooftop Tavern. As we visited on a cooler, fall evening, we especially appreciated the blankets that are always available for patrons. We cozied up at the community table with the centerpiece gas fire - so pretty as well as great at keeping us warm. While I thoroughly enjoyed my Mussels Diavolo (which is listed as a shareable for a reason - it was huge!), I do wish there were more options that weren't bread, past, or carb based. That said, the rest of my party loved their flatbreads, quesadillas, and street tacos. We'll be back, nonetheless and I'll find another keto approved option - it have the mussels with shrimp again! It appears that every establishment in Morrison is a 3 or less. We struggled to find a place that seemed halfway clean, friendly, and offered food. We came to the Rooftop Tavern after the other 2 places we went to were either far too weird to deal with or had no outdoor seating. Rooftop Tavern is interesting. The upstairs patio (rooftop) is nice. The staff is pretty friendly, but sort of inept. We had nachos and Italian Sausage quesadillas. Yes, you read that correctly. The food was nothing special, but was passable bar food. My wife enjoyed the nachos with chicken, which was enormous. The service was okay...a little slow and the server brought us the wrong ticket. When we told her we had the wrong ticket, she apologized then went inside and was eating a meal when we came in looking for the correct ticket, so we could pay. The inside is kind of rundown and divey, like the rest of Morrison. This place is okay if you're looking for a quick bite and a beer, but expect nothing special. read more

However, if you want a friendly fun atmosphere to relax with a drink and an appetizer, this is the place.
