The view up top is great. What could be better a great meal and super view combo. I had one of the best salads ever a few weeks ago. The Brussel sprout salad is loaded with craisins, parmesan, pistachios and a few other items. The dressing was wonderfully lemony. I wont be in the area much but i sure hope this salad is still served when i make it back. So good. My daughter ate the caprese sandwich with misunderstood added.... loved it. read more

Knowing that I needed some food (and a cocktail) in me before heading over to Mount Falcon Park for a hike, I stopped by Rooftop Tavern to satisfy those needs! I grabbed a seat on the awesome rooftop patio, that clearly Rooftop Tavern is known for, and browsed the menus. The drink menu has a healthy selection of local draft beers, like Avery and Breckenridge, and hard liquors like Fireside and Breckenridge. Rooftop Tavern has a specialty drink menu consists of many "Morrison" themed drinks; such as the Morrison Margarita and Sex on the Rocks. I chose to sip on the Morrison Mule which consisted of honey vodka, ginger beer, and lime. It was just what I needed before my hike! Refreshing with a subtle sweet citrus finish. Their food menu features a couple kinds of delish sounding tacos, both flatbread and traditional pizzas, sliders, quesadillas, etc... All great for sharing amongst friends. I chose to nosh on the Hawaiian Flatbread. It was quite good. Topped with garlic cream cheese, ham, pineappele, and peppadew peppers. I was a great mix of sweet with a very slight heat. Just the fuel I needed before my hike. Back to that patio... It was so cute! With umbrellas secured to the railings for those sunny days and little bulb lights strung up all around for those warm nights. They had tables to fit most any group size, though I can see where it would get packed, and difficult to seat a larger group, after any event at Red Rocks. For how few guests were there during my mid-day vist, I did find that the service was pretty slow. I was ready to go long before my server came to bring me my check. In fact I didn't just have one server assisting me, I think I had a different one for almost every interaction... Lukily I wasn't in much of a hurry. I know that I wil bring some freinds back to enjoy some cocktails and eats on that patio next time I find myself in Morrison! read more

I'll start with the cons. Pretzel we ordered was... not good. It was stale. The cheese was congealed and gross. The staff seemed overwhelmed and needed direction. Probably understaffed and doing their best on super busy Tuesday Pros- drinks were DELICIOUS. Views are great even with the terrible air quality. It was a comfortable patio. The grizzly looking bar tender was in a bad mood from the minute my friend joined me at the bar. I thought he was joking when he said to my friend, "it's nice of you to join us," I thought he was joking and let it slide. It was his second comment that got to me but we still didn't have a problem until I asked for second drink and to close out. I asked why our checks were not split and was kicked out! Came here on a Friday night before a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. We put in a drink order and a half order of their garlic bread. The table next to us put their order in with the same server at the same time. All our drinks arrived at the same time. Shortly after the table next to us got their food. A flatbread, meatballs and something else. 30 min later we are still waiting for our garlic bread. We asked how much longer, as we needed to go, and if it was ready, put it in a to go container. They even sent someone down to the kitchen to check on the status, and it hadn't even been started yet. So we were able to get them to remove it from the bill... that also took another 15 min. What we thought would be a quick drink and snack turned into almost an hour. Parking was awful by the time we got to the venue. If you are not in a hurry, give the place a try, but the drinks we had were not that great. They were out of things we wanted to order and just didn't seem organized. We are traveling and try to give the local places a shot. If back in the area... I don't know if we would come back. read more

If I could go lower than 1 star I would, I cant even describe how bad my service was, waitress's in shambles, mangers no where to be found, and food coming colder than peak winter, also as the manager being a dumb bitch she is, took my friends ID after saying it was a FAKE, she shortly found out it wasn't fake, from the the police after I called them to retrieve it as she would not give it back, all in all waste of time, don't waste yours! If your staying in Morrison, CO your eaten by options are very limited so it is worth the drive to eat outside of the town. Our service was below average. We did not get the drinks we ordered and after awhile just decided it would be best to drink what the waitress brought us. The flatbread pizzas (Hawaiian, Four Cheese and Pepperoni) were served to us warm/cold and very disappointing. If you have to eat/drink in Morrison maybe look into other options. read more

After walking around Red Rocks trail, we needed a space to rehydrate and develop our next plan of action. We stopped in here for a cocktail and water, of course. We walked in, were greeted by staff behind the bar, and told to seat. We grabbed a table on the patio and were brought a food and cocktail menu. I ordered the Italian Fizz: prosecco, aperol, splash of soda, and squeeze of orange. It came out in a glass with ice and when I asked she said that's how it's made, but in reality, it should be served in a flute or wine glass without ice. We came here twice. Once for drinks on a chili Monday night. The waitress saw that my girlfriend was cold and brought her a blanket which was super nice. The second time we came for lunch and had the sausage quesadilla (delicious) and the four cheese flat bread (also delicious). The menu isn't super large so it was a great place for lunch. The cocktails were great, though all were very simple. I wished for a little more creativity. Our waitress was great though, and was very attentive. Regarding the food, we didn't have any, but we went there with the intention of having some! But the menu is very limited, featuring only appetizers, salads and paninis. Everything was also very healthy or "hipster" as I called it. Honestly there was nothing on the menu that sounded good to me. The decor was beautiful and the views were great. We ended up eating at the Italian restaurant below. This definitely seems like a more drinking type of place, and it is not focused on food. Me and my honey stopped in for some tacos after climbing to the top of RedRocks Amphitheater. It was a beautiful sunny day in the historic town of Morrison. This was my first time at The Tavern and the roof top patio looked bright and sunny for an afternoon bite to eat. We entered through the Italian restaurant downstairs, same owner as upstairs. There were plenty of tables and chairs to sit and eat as well as a long fire pit table in the middle to share with others. Our pork tacos were delicious as well as the chips and variety of salsas. The music was a little loud for our taste, but overall this was a great experience. There is also a cozy fire pit sitting area on the back patio and indoor bar with TV's for watching sports. On 11/10/18 (Saturday) my husband and I decided to grab a quick snack and a cocktail. So we went to Tony Rigatoni's Roof Top Tavern. We had been going to the actual restaurant for years, but only recently the roof top tavern as they only have a limited menu. Our bartender didn't greet us for awhile but we weren't in a hurry so.... Finally she gave us the drink menu and a food menu. We ordered a medium pizza with 3 basic toppings at $2.49 each. The pizza was $11.99. We asked what the crust was like and said very bready. We don't like deep dish so she said to order the gluten free as a thin crust. We did. Ok, the pizza comes out and is tiny like a personal size with five jalapeños (yes I counted), pepperoni and a few mushrooms. Mind you, they were $2.49 extra each topping added. Thankfully the taste was ok. My husband had a beer and I enjoyed two glasses of Pinot Grigio. The menu didn't have a price but we assumed house wine wouldn't be expensive. Wrong $10 a glass. The bartender/server was very overwhelmed even though she had someone running all her food, bringing drinks to her guests etc. it was him we asked for our bill. She brought it over $54.62 for a tiny pizza, two wines one beer. She didn't give us the itemized bill just the total so I asked for it. See the pictures for clarity. It just says medium pizza $23.46. She never said gluten free cost $4 extra . So sad service and ripped off, we won't be back and I can't recommend them anymore. Downstairs you receive good service, a full menu etc. Another strange thing is upstairs is like a sport bar with lots of tvs however only one of them was on and it was a cooking show. She explained she doesn't like sports wth? She didn't know any channels, as hasn't had cable in ten years. She is nice, just might be better in another field. So, I can't recommend upstairs but love the actual food downstairs. read more

After a good long day of work, it was nice to come here and relax on the roof. The atmosphere was pleasant as the hot summer day was still releasing its legions of heat, although the day was coming to an end and the summers here are nowhere as hot as Texas. To make matters better, they have water mist spraying lightly about, keeping everyone relatively cool. This was a nice benefit. I had some amber ale and ordered some sliders. The sliders were a lot better than I expected and was a pleasant surprise. Pretty cheap for what it is. Nice spot for sure. read more

This is the second time that I visited the restaurant after Red Rock hiking. They have great environment, good services, and good beer selections. The food selections are not much, but every each of them are good. We had chicken pesto panini, olive, sausages (I really enjoy the portion and spicy of the links) and Italian panini. I was looking at all of the yelp pictures and was excited for tacos, quesadillas, or nachos. Was disappointed to see they change their menu often (I guess??) and all of their food was strictly Italian, which was the last thing I wanted! By the time I realized it, we had our two kids all situated and it wasn't worth leaving. Hopefully I can save someone else the pain if they were also craving the Korean tacos . The rooftop is cool enough if you have nothing to do and don't mind wasting all night waiting for your drinks/food to come, but other than that save yourself time and go somewhere else with better food and service.
