The liqueuers are stronger and less sweet than most other liqueurs of the same variety, like limoncello in Italy was usually much sweeter than their version. I had an Agave Penicillin- kind of like a top shelf margarita but with their superb ginger-cello. I also tried a straight ginger, which I really, really enjoyed. The owners were great to talk to, and their story is pretty damn inspiring. This is all about the spirits! They aren't a restaurant. They have a few things like Chex Mix, and cheese and crackers for snacks. But - the cocktails (and it's a big list!) are creative, exceptionally balanced and delicious. They create these liqueurs and make seriously wicked cocktails using them. To call these ladies "bartenders" would be - inaccurate. They're artists. Check them out!

They were so great to chat and tell me the story of their business and details about upcoming events and seasonal drinks. You can tell they care about their patrons. The ambiance is bright, rather than a dimly lit cocktail bar. They showcase their homemade liqueurs in each drink. I just got one cocktail - the ginger mezcalita - and it was perfectly spicy, smoky, and vibrant. But so many others on their menu sound delicious. You can build your own charcuterie or order a macaron they source locally to pair a snack with your drink. The macarons are unique flavors too.

What more could one want? The menu isn't extensive but is ample, and it's all scratch made. Some items are available all day, paired with brunch items earlier and dinner entrees later. We couldn't resist the goat cheese dip, and it was amazing. Lightly gamey, as might be expected with goat cheese, but softened by greens and chopped walnuts on toast. It was a large serving, and we spooned out every last bit. We each added a half Caesar salad, one with salmon topping sans anchovies (real anchovies!) and the other with Cajun shrimp minus the pickled onions. The dressing was a true, flavorful Caesar, though if you don't like a lot you may want to ask for it to be lightly dressed or on the side. Our server volunteered having the salads chopped, and we accepted. We were both pleased with the results. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a light pink center, and the shrimp were spicy but a perfect blend with the coolness of the salad. I can't omit the peach iced tea, different from any I've had before. I usually avoid sweetened tea (unless I'm in the South, where I find sweet tea irresistible), but our server said they blend 2 c of sugar with 20 lb of peaches to make a near jam and blend it with the tea. That seemed like little enough sugar that I accepted and was glad I did. It truly did taste like a jam-tea blend. It was sweet, though, so if you don't like sweet tea, it may not be your thing. Between the appetizer and the half salads, we were full enough to need little dinner later. Two added bonuses--a takeout charcuterie shack that will custom make beautiful boards from mini to full size (also available on the restaurant menu) and a dedicated outdoor seating area for diners with dogs. At that point we thought that was odd. Then both waiter and waitress walked by like we are all good with our waters. We decided to get up and walk over to bar side, instead of leaving. Male waiter (guessing we were in his section) just watched us walk over to other side with a smirk on his face. We left it alone. Part 2, we sat down, bartender came took order right away and drinks came quickly, appetizer came quick too. Dinner came and all was good. Bartender did great and service was good on that side. We did let hosts know we were moving and why. We did not make a big deal out of it, but they knew, as there wasn't that many people there on dining side. We did tip the bartender over 20%, because he did a good job on saving the experience we started with. If we would of just sat on bar side in 1st place, I would rate all 3 categories 5 star. If we would of just left, LIKE MOST WOULD, then I would of gave all categories a 1 star. Again, the older bartender was really good and service. This happened Aug. 15th 4:30pm.
