The line out the door told me all I needed to know about this place. It's a simple, old school burger joint. The menu isn't extensive but what they do, they do it right. Seating indoors is limited but there's ample patio space to enjoy the scenery. After the lengthy wait to place our order, the food arrived shortly after and it was absolutely worth the wait. The four of us ordered fries and onion rings to share at the table and we all left satisfied. This place is a must stop if you enjoy a good burger.

This is easily one of the top hamburger spots in town. The beef patties are consistently juicy and flavorful, complemented by perfectly melted cheese. What truly elevates the experience is the outstanding customer service--the cashier and servers are friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for both quality food and excellent service. They ground beef every morning for all their beef patties!

From outside, this place does NOT look like somewhere that would have good food. My friend who lives in the Denver area suggested it and I was a little hesitant. When we got there, it was very busy with all the outdoor seating taken and a line out the door. Before getting to the cashier, you fill out a sleeve depending on what you want (burger, hot dog, or chicken sandwich). I got a burger, so I had to mark off what bun, toppings, and extras I wanted. At the cashier, you give them your sleeve and order any sides or drinks that you want. They then give you a random name for your order (I got Leatherface). When the order is done, they announce the funny name and bring the food to you. The burger was juicy and filling. I also shared fries and onion rings, which were both good as well. The fries were on the salty side, which I do like. Outside the restaurant has a view of the mountains and the Coors factory. Great price point and great food... can't beat that!

Amazing burger and fries! We stopped here after our tour of the coors brewery. It really hit the spot!!

Bob's Atomic Burgers is always packed. There's always a line. Random movie stars, fictional characters and historical figures are bellowed throughout the small digs. IYKYK. Why would people wait? Why does anyone wait? The wait is worth it. Bob's prides themselves on simple ingredients, cooked to order every time, and nothing prepped in a hurry. Your patience will pay off. And no, you won't be waiting any longer than you would anywhere else. My burger was huge. That's my fault, though, as I choose more than a few yummy toppings. I could barely hold it in my hand. I also had a strawberry milkshake and loved the over the top creaminess. I left distended and smiling, haha. We love Bob's. We've never left disappointed. That says a lot all by itself. Def check them out. Simple food but amazingly good food.

What a great find! If you are in the area,go eat here. The service was wonderful. Such nice people and the food was amazing. I got shrimp and grits for breakfast and it was a winner winner.

Super divey with a view. The smell outside brings you in from a mile away. They have a little something for everyone. You fill out your order on the bag and bring it to the cashier. The wait was short and you can sit outside looking at Coors if you can grab a seat inside if you can.

I've had multiple burgers here through the years traveling through Golden. I haven't been disappointed yet. Good service and kind of a dive bar feel. It get a little packed sometimes but it's worth the wait.

Overall good vibes, good food, and good views! We were actually recommended we got check out bob's by an employee at coors after the tour. We are so glad we took the recommendation! You walk in and there are sleeves for your burger and you pick how you want to customize it and it has prices on it so you know exactly how much you are paying. Once you are done customizing you go to the cashier had them the burger sleeve and they give you a name of a famous person (not sure if it was only that day they might switch it up). We got the special of the day which had an avocado crema and bacon. Overall good burger very soft bun good meat patty my only complaint with the burger we got was that the crema was not as packed in, I personally like my burgers saucey. They do have a condiments station so I ended up just putting some ketchup on places with no sauce. Sweet potato fries were perfect! Overall though, would highly recommend. ( I think it's better than in-n-out- but that might just be me).

I've been meaning to try this place for years, so when it was my hamburger obsessed teenagers birthday, I knew we had to finally head here, and I'm so glad we did. We got there around 6:15 on a Friday night, there was a line already and tables were packed, but they are a well oiled machine and between the line, ordering, and waiting for our food, it was only a out 30 mins total. All of the employees seemed relaxed and happy to be there. Always a good sign. Biggest challenge was finding a table. The inside is rather small. Loved the punk rock vibe though. NOFX We ordered a double, a regular cheeseburger with bacon, a fries chicken sandwich, and onion rings. Everything was sooo good. My teen was so impressed and said it was the best burger he's ever had. The chicken sandwich was super juicy, you could squeeze it and see the juice. And the onion rings... perfect light breading and cook. We'll definitely be back.

Not fancy looking but one of the best burgers ever

For those who don't know me, I love a great burger and consider myself a "burger freak" (burger connoisseur is too pompous - especially when you don't care about how fancy a place is). In my quest to find great burgers, two of my top 5 burger places are in Golden, CO. I first tried Bob's Atomic Burgers about five years ago and have been numerous times when visiting my son in Colorado. This place could best be described as a "burger joint'". There's nothing fancy about it. You order at the counter and wait for your food - no delivery to your table. It's a very basic, rustic kind of place. The menu is pretty limited - m this is primarily a burger place. If you love burgers, don't miss Bob's. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Ever have a burger craving hit and just need to scratch that itch? That is was happened to me and my search for a burger joint brought me here. Oh baby! I was very happy to find this spot - plus they had classic onion rings! Yum. I was in burger heaven. The place was busy and seemed to be popular with the college crowd so we were lucky to score a table and sat patiently while we waited. It's a bummer they don't sell alcohol, because a burger is better with a beer, but I lived. Funky little place worth checking out. Ordering system is unique but easy to figure out (my assigned name was "professor")

We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... I would definitely be back and highly recommend to check out their happy hour!

They are also dog-friendly which is a fun feature, but we went on a busy day and there were a bunch of dogs inside and outside, which I have to wonder if so many animals are indoors does this become a food safety issue? I will say our server was very nice, but the food was sub par to say the least. The items we ordered were severely under seasoned. They were quite bland and lacked any depth of flavor. The items on the menu had average prices to them, so there was no sticker shock on that end but, when did restaraunts start charging extra for sides of ranch?! It's not enough to cover your restaraunt costs with the $25 burger I just ordered? This restaraunt is located in a touristy town, so I'm sure they get all the traffic they need, but as a local I will not be back!

Once inside there is a first floor that has a few different food options as well as the pour your own beer options as well. In order to partake in the beer option, you need to get a card that you can tap to the machine and you pay per the ounce. They have other drinks beside beer on tap as well such as different types of cocktails. They have a great food selection. That includes many different varieties of food throughout the venue as well. The top floor also has a few additional beer options as well as food options. I decided to go with a barbecue option which I got a brisket sandwich which was really good as well as a side of fries and some of the barbecue sauce. I also got a beer on top from one of the local breweries. It was a chilly day out, but I still wanted to sit on the patio on the top deck, so we sat by a fireplace. They have a ton of different fireplaces, all throughout the top deck as well as the lower deck as well so sitting outside was an option for the time of the year that I was there which was March. Maybe in the dead of the winter they don't have this option but just keep that in mind. Anyways, I thought the view of the course brewery factory right across the way was really cool to see as well. The food was really good and I love getting beer by the ounce because if you don't like the beer, you can just get a different one and you don't have to make a whole glass pour every time you get one. I definitely would recommend the golden mill. It definitely seems like a place that a lot of locals hang out and there is a food or beverage option for everyone so even picky eaters would love this place. I am familiar with food halls at home in Boulder that I like and frequent regularly. This was nothing like them in so many ways. It was obvious that this is lived locally but in a holiday it was so ham packed that it was unpleasant for a newcomer to negotiate. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. It was a Gordita made with crisp little corn cakes and the al pastor filling was tasty. The others in the group all had large portions of unappealing to me food so I did not taste and far too. Big for a healthy lunch. While we were eating at compared communal tables , the restrooms across from them were propped open for the steady stream of users. But on a holiday weekend a prime lunch time when we arrived, it was the only option. The entry line to get the pay card was nearby and the line went up the stairs to the entry with at least 20 to get and register the card, many with children in tow. Our guest knew where to park so that was no problem jf you are willing to pay to park for a meal. We were, but would have lived a quality meal and not a madhouse. The only staff person I spoke with because her food was dessert and not peak season for ice cream was so friendly and helpful and mad a custom snack size of her New Zeland style treat. She saved the day for me. I will not return but others in our party might should the occasion arise and clearly the locals who are regulars keep them well supported. I will stick with my local more intimate and curated food hall kitchens.
