This is the spot. I would have missed it walking around downtown Golden, but it is the cutest, comfiest, & warm shop. 10/10 would recommend the BGolden breakfast sandwich(beware, it is a little pricy - $15). Sadie, who was working the front the Saturday we went, was SO sweet. Great & fast service. Lots of seating inside, but it fills up fast. Look into reserving the camper outside, it's a fun (& free!) option.
I came in for breakfast on a Friday morning around 8 am with friends. The coffee menu had some unique offerings, and there were plenty of choices for breakfast. Most of my friends ordered some form of flavored iced latte, one got the orange juice, and I hot a hot latte, which I really enjoyed. For breakfast, most of my companions got some form of breakfast sandwich, and everyone seemed to like what they ordered. I got a plain bagle with cream cheese. Not the very best bagle I've ever had, but tasty. Cute interior seating with both tables and a bar. Lots of folks seemed to be settling in to work, so it might get a bit tricky to find seating later in the morning, but it wasn't a problem for us. I liked the range of options offered here, plus the comfortable dining area and very nice staff. I'd definitely visit again.
What an amazing find! But keep your eyes open or you'll walk right by it! We totally did! We walked into a coffee house of fairytales. There is a line with a wait to place your order but it goes quick. Inside is so quaint and has a lovely homey feel. People were visiting, studying, playing Scrabble, just a nice atmosphere. It's small but there is an outdoor patio with a nice view of the mountain. There is a smaller one in the front but you're sitting right off Main Street. The person taking orders was very friendly and patient with everyone. We sat outside on the back patio and it was so lovely. I had the Honduran latte that blew my socks off and set me up for a great day! Every flavor was perfectly balanced and experienced. Bravo to that barista! My friend had the strawberry cheesecake latte and enjoyed it. We each had the B Golden and it was awesome! I can't recommend Humble House Cafe more!
The seasonal No Barriers Breakfast Sandwich was amazing! Pumpkin mallow latte was sweet but the exact flavor I was expecting. Service was quick even though the place was busy on a Friday morning. The outdoor patio in the back gave me the perfect view. So glad I made the stop on my weekend trip. Cheers from Pittsburgh, PA.
Using Yelp I found Humble House Cafe that was opening soon and wasn't too far away from where we were staying. Honestly, though, it was their menu item of Carrot Cake French Toast that caught my eye. I normally don't go for sweet for breakfast but every now and again something just sounds too yummy to pass up. Going inside I wasn't sure exactly how they worked it but I could see that the place was small with a limited number of tables and even small number left available so I helped myself after a minute to a table and then noticed the menus were at the front desk so grabbed one for myself. You order up there, then sit down and they bring you the food. I took my time reviewing everything just in case there was something else that sounded better than the Carrot Cake French Toast but there wasn't... or at least for what I was in the mood for that day. I ordered and service was quick to bring everything out. The french toast, given the type was pretty dense but very filling but oh so good. I enjoyed my breakfast and read over some of the travel books they had out about Colorado, Denver, and Golden to see if there was anything in the area that I was not aware of that sounded fun. Of course, there was and I was sure to take them with me (they are like the books you get from the hotels) so I could continue to read more.
Such a charming cafe!! My partner and I visited Humble House Cafe while on a weekend trip to Denver, and it was one of my favorite spots we checked out. It's hard to say what I liked most -- the vibes are extremely cozy, the decor is cute, the staff is unbelievably friendly, and the food is tasty. It's a pretty popular spot, with a 15+ minute line streaming out their door when we arrived around 10 AM, but I can absolutely see why. I especially loved the pay it forward wall by the cashier, where folks could contribute a few dollars to a specific profile of future patron (e.g., newlyweds on their honeymoon, new moms, someone struggling with X). Food-wise, we split a latte, a classic vegetarian breakfast sandwich, and their vegetarian breakfast platter. Everything was outstanding: the croissant was nice and buttery, and it went wonderfully with the fried egg, generous portion of creamy avocado, and sliced tomato. The slice of cheddar and aioli helped to bind the whole sandwich together and created a really wholesome bite. The breakfast platter was equally delicious, with two nicely scrambled eggs (which were very cutely presented as circles, similar to the fried egg) served with an array of fresh veggies and a herbaceous, fresh crema. All told, we probably spent several hours here after eating to read, chat, and work together. I could honestly spend a whole day -- or week -- here; the vibes are outstanding, and I felt really at home in this Humble House.

The interior is very welcoming and cozy. I got the Iced Honduran Latte, which was absolutely delicious and just sweet enough. To eat, I got the Avocado Toast, which was yummy but tiny. For $10 I wish it was a little larger. We also tried the Cinnamon Roll, which was good but nothing special. I would return here for the coffee, and their breakfast sandwiches, which looked like a much better portion size compared to the Avocado Toast.
Very cute and humble breakfast/lunch spot in Golden :) Stumbled in during a trip and enjoyed the quick counter service. The environment inside is very cozy and lots of people were working on their laptops. They have free WiFi so it's a perfect spot for it. They have a good amount of seating inside and even more in the back outside. My husband ordered Rosie the Riveter bagel sandwich and I got the B*Golden Croissant sandwich. Both were good but the B*Golden Croissant definitely came out on top. The honey and goat cheese were SO GOOD and it was a great mix of sweet and savory. I can tell they do great business here because they were low on silverware and completely out of knives. When I asked the kitchen for a knife they had to wash one for me and bring it out but it was still a little dirty which is the only reason I couldn't do 5 stars.
Stopped in town for a few hours to explore and headed here first for a bite to eat. The cafe is cute and quaint, with great outdoor seating in the back. I had a turkey sandwich and seasonal apple matcha - both pretty good! I would come back to hang out with friends or work on my laptop if I lived near.
Wow! Can we say, "Best coffee house ever?!" This adorable, cozy, place is amazing!!! Not only is the menu incredible (with daily coffee specials that are to-die for!), the entire cafe was designed to pay it forward and give back to communities in need. How wonderful to be able to shop, eat, and hang with such a fabulous, mission-driven, ethical-focused establishment. And with such humility, which is soooo rare to find these days! Even with all of the awards they have won. It is truly a shining star for this community. One of the things that I found, while waiting for the bathroom, was this little mailbox with postcards next to it. You could write a postcard to a child at Children's Hospital and they would would put a stamp on it and mail it. I absolutely LOVED that and did it! Also, if you want to purchase gifts, they have a little store in the front, where you can support small and women-owned businesses. If only every coffee house could be like Humble House! Ah, one can dream!
This cafe is so cozy and fun. They have amazing drink specials and also the traditional ones. Cute little gifts at the front like kombucha, mugs, journals and fun tinctures. I ordered the grinch latte, which was pistachio, it was SO good. Not too strong of flavor but the right amount. The service was so helpful and nice and I just really enjoyed my experience.
Cute, spacious, cozy local café in Golden. Very delicious seasonal drinks and great brunch. We tried Joan of arc and Elvis twist waffles. It was very delicious. The cafe also has a cute outside patio area with a small bar access when the weather is nice out.
Quick coffee date and walk on the Clear Creek trail! Was surprised waking into Humble House as it was packed full on a Monday morning at 10am. Location is right downtown with some good merchandise at the front. Service was fairly quick with seating at the front while we waited. My Eggnog latte was heavy on the milk and I would have liked more coffee flavor but still nicely made with a cute design on top. Bathrooms were well cleaned but the changing table proved difficult for a diaper change as it was very high on the wall. Overall a nice coffee shop and they must be doing something right to have so many people!
Came in for a sunday breakfast. Had their fall special Sammie, it was absolutely delicious!!! It had brie and blackberry jam! A little messy but so good. It wasn't too busy at 730 in the morning. This place is an order ar the counter and find a seat type of place read more
Arrived here just in time before the kitchen closed at 2 yesterday! The staff up front kindly gave us menus (it's self-seating) and the heads up that the kitchen would close in 8 minutes! We ordered the Classic sausage Sammie and the classic bacon Sammie on sourdough which come with sunny side up eggs) plus an Oreo cookie latte (decadent with marshmallow cold foam!) to share. Packed full of people fellowshipping over food and readers and workers/students on laptops. Our food and drink were ready in 10 minutes. Delicious sandwiches with melted real cheddar and dill pickles. Man, when you're hungry, a breakfast Sammie better than caviar! That drink was like dessert so we were well sated! The cutest little coffee shop in Golden! We checked out a few spots and ended up here, and it was the perfect choice. They have a great selection of specialty coffee drinks and unique breakfast options. We ordered a specialty latte and a cold brew, and for breakfast the burrito and a sourdough breakfast sandwich--everything was incredible. It's more of a sit-down spot, so we grabbed a table inside, sipped our coffee, and relaxed while waiting for our food. Such a great atmosphere for a slow Sunday morning. There were couples and friends hanging out, playing card games, reading, and working--it had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Overall, we absolutely loved it here! read more

I loved this little spot. I ordered the cinnamon roll and a chai latte. At first glance, I was worried the cinnamon roll might be dry; that's often my experience with cinnamon rolls from cafés and bakeries. Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong. The woman working at the counter was incredibly kind and welcoming, which immediately made the experience feel special. After I found a seat, she brought my cinnamon roll over warm, with the glaze perfectly melted and draped over the top. It was soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The chai latte was just as impressive. I've had many chai lattes over the years, but this one had a surprising depth of flavor that really stood out. Whether it was the cozy atmosphere, the friendly service, or simply a great cup of chai, everything came together perfectly. Maybe I was just having a really good day, but I think this place deserves some of the credit. You'll have to be the judge for yourself. read more

Would say this place had good coffee. I would give it a second try but will say for being the only ones waiting took a wee bit long and I usually don't complain ... I discovered a cute little spot nestled in the heart of downtown, what a vibrant little area. My Americano took much longer to prepare than I expected, while my toast was ready before my coffee. The toast was delicious, and I would definitely come back. This place has a very laid-back atmosphere. P.S. I found out that the espresso machine was acting up. read more
Coffee with a purpose can be enjoyed here at Humble House Cafe. The meticulously designed and decorated shop on Golden's main drag pops visually and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. After doing some digging on their website, I came to discover that the owner had opened Generous Coffee Shop in Tributary Food Hall. Unfortunately the food hall closed, but now they have a stunning space just a block away. When you set foot in Humble House Cafe gravitates towards the beautiful exposed brick, hanging plants, and lovely artwork. The shop is filled with retail items from local artisans, purveyors, and producers. They have a large breakfast and brunch menu (that we didn't get to try this time), coffees, teas, smoothies, etc. They even have a back patio with a cute camper that can be reserved online! I ordered a cortado and my wife ordered a drip coffee. Mine hit the spot, but hers left a little to be desired. We get it, the coffee was probably sitting for awhile since the shop wasn't far off from closing for the day. Though we thoroughly enjoyed shacking up inside the shop. Very comfortable chairs IMO. A nice addition to Downtown Golden that I didn't know was necessary until we walked in and checked it out. They work with many non profit organizations and have a strong sense of community. I also love on their website how they have pictures of all their team members, thought that was cute and empowering for the employees! read more
Super cute place with lots of fun drinks and yummy looking food, but the GF bagels are really dry and they gave me caffeinated coffee instead of the decaf I ordered. I got Rosie the Riveter sandwich which was really good but the gf bagel was quite bad (dense, super chewy, and dry). So for all my GF buddies maybe try the English muffin? I didn't try that but it might be better. Also I got a pumpkin mallow latte which was DELICIOUS! But unfortunately it was certainly not decaf. I have extreme reactions to caffeine and getting caffeinated made my day significantly worse. I totally get that everyone makes mistakes some days, just a part of my experience. read more
The cutest shop @humble_house_cafe gives back to the community and beyond. Once you get in you'll understand why it's called the "Purposeful Coffee Shop." They're aware of the community and beyond. They don't wanna be just a coffee shop! It's a one stop shop. You can shop for gifts. Order something to eat while giving back. You'll be surprised to know that you might be helping a kid reach a dream to go to school In a third-world country when you're buying a certain sandwich. Or help our local emergency responder. On the surface this looks like a mom and pop coffee shop, but it is much, much more! Here a some thoughts: -It has a GREAT breakfast menu! It is much more than bagels & breakfast sandwich (see attached menu). -This place is a hole in the wall, with a younger vibe, neighborhood favorite feel, and the service is very good! -They have unusual coffee flavors like peach cobbler and mint vanilla. I like sweet coffees, so this was a real treat. Highly recommended!! If you only make one stop in Golden, CO, I would recommend this one : ) read more
A must-stop coffee shop in Golden! Huge menu, reasonable prices, and an incredible mission! Our coffees were delicious- love all of the unique flavors and offerings. They have a "pay it forward" board for anyone to utilize as well as an awesome rewards program that lets you earn $ tokens that you then designate to one of their three selected charities. All of this fantastic, but greatest of all was the Elvis Twist waffles. Hands-down best waffles I've ever had, the combo of flavors- bacon, Nutella, PB, cinnamon, banana! just melds perfectly-- HIGHLY recommend. We also tried the classic breakfast Sammie with sausage- the maple syrup is strong, so if sweet and savory isn't your jam, maybe have it on the side. Wow, either our 3.5 hour hike expended us or Humble House has some of the most delicious sandwiches ever! The shop is small and cozy (and crowded), but the flavors are anything but. They were out of some key ingredients before noon the day we went, like ham, so they were able to put scrambled eggs in my sandwich as a substitute. And boy, the Galileo sandwich was exquisite! Unsuspectingly simple looking, combination of creamy mozzarella slices (and scrambled eggs in my case) with the crusty and chewy French bread was awesome. The roast red peppers threatened to fall out of the sandwich with each bite, while the pesto aioli, balsamic glaze had me licking my fingers. One of the best sandwiches I've had in recent memory for sure! They also have cookies from Flour Shoppe, and I devoured the chai snickerdoodle and peanut butter flavors, somehow gluten free but soft, melt-in-your-mouth, and soooo good! The service was friendly but our orders got a little messed up and after a suspiciously long wait, we asked if our drinks would be ready and it turned out our orders never went through. They apologized and we eventually got our drinks. Even with this mishap, the sandwich and cookies earn them top marks on this visit. Cute little space overall, usually quite busy I was told, but you order at the front counter near the entry. There's one restroom for the place which can be a drag if someone is in there for a while. There's street parking and some garages nearby as well. These sandwiches are incredibly good, happy my JAS brought us here! :) read more
So cute. Not a ton of seating but enough. Everyone was super nice. I had the sausage breakfast burrito it had a little kick. My kids got the kids hot chocolate that they don't make it as hot so they could have it right away. I got the hazelnut latte in a mug and my hubby got the mocha latte. It was all very good. I would definitely go back. read more

Lovely spot in Golden, the moment I walked in I knew it was a perfect place to meet a friend for a cup of coffee. We were seated immediately and had plenty of room. The ambiance is charming, lots of plants and something to look at everywhere you turn. They also sell adorable local goods so if you need a gift for someone (especially their doggie items) this is a great place. I also noticed for a walk up and order spot, everyone there went out of their way to bring us something or make our visit easier. My friend had her newborn with her and the staff was so accommodating. I had a matcha latte and a delicious bagel. My friend had an iced coffee. Everything was lovely and I look forward to another trip soon! read more

Humble House in Golden is a hidden gem! The coffee is fantastic, and their sandwich options are delicious. The outdoor space is a cool spot to relax, especially on a nice day. I would love to try the little Rv sometime. I love their seasonal fall coffee flavors--definitely worth checking out for a cozy, flavorful experience! read more
