It's just.... Fine. I've been 3 times since starting to work in the area over the past 2 months and although the quality of the food is fresh, it will take 30+ mins to get your food even when there are only 2 other tables. Last month, it took 30 minutes for 2 dishes (a sandwhich and Marsala). Today we ordered 2 entrees and drinks including an appetizer at 11:50 today and didn't receive our food until 12:45. We also had ordered an appetizer that was never picked up, so when our food came and we hadn't gotten our drinks or appetizer we reminded the waitress and she went back to the kitchen to get it. By then the oil had separated in the artichoke dip and it was not pleasant. The balsamic dressing had no taste to it, I then tried the champagne vinaigrette and it was thick olive oil with no other flavor. The berries and spinach in the salad I had were very fresh though so that was nice! My husband got the chicken fried steak and the grits had no flavor although the steak itself was okay after some salt and pepper. I just don't think the prices match the actual taste of the dishes or the very slow service. When there are so many other good places within walking distance, I don't know how much longer this place can stay open without some changes. read more

Unfortunately this place was a miss both times for me. I went again recently with some friends and it took us over an hour to get our drinks, and even longer to get food. We ordered coffee (came immediately) and orange juice (took an hour), and then waited almost 1.5 hours for food to come. We were first given a random order of food, which was confusing. Our server came out and told us it was what we had ordered, even though it was very different. Then he read through our ticket, which was what we actually had ordered, and he said "that's why this is not your food", contradicting what he originally stated. It was very confusing! They took the wrong order away and shortly after, brought the correct order. Everyone at the table agreed that the food was pretty bland. It's nice that they allow dogs on the patio, and the patio is actually quite comfortable, but the slow and inaccurate service, as well as the bland food, just does not make this place worth it for me. read more

I really wanted to love this place because the photos looked amazing, and the space itself is super cute. The service was also wonderful, and the pancakes were delicious. Unfortunately the breakfast was a miss for both my friend and me. I ordered the Berkley Benedict, which sounded like it would be rich, cheesy, garlicky, and full of flavor. But everything tasted surprisingly bland. The garlic rosemary sauce, the gravy, and even the hollandaise all tasted very similar, so nothing really stood out. My friend ordered one of the hashes and had the same experience. Even though the dishes were different, everything seemed to have the same muted flavor regardless of the sauce or ingredients. That said, I wouldn't completely write this place off. There were several items on the dinner menu that looked really good, so I'd be open to coming back to give dinner a try. This place is great! First place I hit up after landing in Denver for the first time and it did not disappoint. First the service was amazing, our waitress was super nice and helpful and did amazing job considering it was her first day, keep it up! The food was also delicious and they give you a pretty good portion which is good. The best thing about this in my opinion is the vibe of the restaurant. I definitely recommend their food options - loved the chorizo breakfast tacos (massive and good for sharing) and the French toast. They definitely have generous portions for their food. Pet friendly patio with good breakfast burritos and chicken waffles. Servers are very friendly with pets.. we saw a number of people dine here with their pets. I really liked my burrito, the chilli verde was spicy just how I like it. My husband got the chicken waffles and although I would never typically get that, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the combination was especially with the hot chicken! The first thing we noticed and loved was the differing glassware, as it really emphasized that true diner vibe. Our server was very pleasant. Visiting from California, the Cozy Cottage was an outstanding find and enjoyed each morning for breakfast. Friends brought us there and our delicious start to each day was a highlight of the trip. The salmon benedict, carnitas hash and avocado toast were good choices and beautifully presented with a down-home touch. There are many vegetarian options which were also declared as excellent by folk from our party. I would say that the food quality is first class all around. Service is relaxed and unhurried (in a good way) and we felt very comfortable in their somewhat rustic dining room. I met a friend for lunch at Cozy Cottage in mid-December, 2025. I left a 20% tip on the bill, writing in the amount and signing the receipt. Several days later, I received a credit card update that my charge went through and a 60% tip had been added. The tip cost was more than half the cost of my meal. I took this up with the restaurant, sending a request to fix it both through their website, two direct emails to management, and via phone call. The person I talked with at the restaurant said there was no manager there who could help me. No one responded to any of my emails or the contact form I submitted. If you decide to go to Cozy Cottage, I recommend saving your receipt and checking your credit card statement soon after. I won't be going there again. read more

Everything tasted ok, the service was super and we got seated fast for a Saturday morning but something just wasn't making me want to go back. My polenta special was $16.00, that I thought was pricey, then they offer coffee with different syrups but those are an extra dollar, plus the different milk you ask for is another dollar up charge. The place is cute, it's a little house, they have a full bar right as you walk in. The food was just lacking flavor I thought. I loved our server, she was great! My three girlfriends and I all ordered veggie hash. Mine came with pork, which was obvious right off, so it was returned and replaced with what I had ordered after about 15 minutes. Then one of my friends noticed that there was pork in hers too, she hadn't noticed it because she hadn't eaten that much of it and so we told the server, but said that she didn't need to replace it because my friend would just eat around the pork. When our bill came, and I have this receipt, there was no deduction, nothing was taken off the bill. We asked our server about it and after about 10 minutes she came back and said the manager would not take one of the orders off. We stopped by here after trying to get into another restaurant but having to wait too long. Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, we were able to get seated in less than 15 minutes. Our waitress was very kind and provided great service. I got the BlueBird Benedict, and wow the asparagus sauce that they used was amazing!
