Breakfast burrito with bacon and smothered in green chile
    Cameo L.

Need good food to cure your hangover or just a chill place to have good greasy food? Well this is the place! The waitresses were moving at the speed of light to get everyone feed and happy. I got the breakfast burrito and it was one of the best things I've eaten to cure my jet lag.

Fantastic old school breakfast spot. A Denver classic. Great prices and great food served quickly. The steak and eggs was awesome. I will always recommend this place for those who can appreciate a good breakfast.

Greasy spoon... yes please! Real diner with real diner prices. Nothing fancy. Everything is good! I'm committed - 2 steaks, potatoes, eggs w/a side of green chili around $22 monies. Only open till 2pm The weekends are very busy. I come here pretty frequently and never disappointed.

I scanned the bad reviews before trying this place, and unfortunately many of those complaints hold true. The service was friendly, but disorganized. I sat there for quite awhile before they had a huddle to figure out who was supposed to be serving me. And yeah, the smell in this place is disgusting. They really need to get their plumbing situation figured out. I did use the restroom, and the smell emanates from there, with the doors just standing wide open. And the men's at least is an absolute horror show. Unspeakable. If I'd used it before ordering I'd have walked out. I got huevos rancheros since they seem to be known for their chili. It all seemed fresh enough. If Denver has one unique food item it's pork green chili stew, and this is a passable version. A solid B effort; a little watery but decent flavor. Beans weren't refried but whole and plain, which I didn't mind. Potatoes were a little on the pale side, but cooked through. I like the interior - classic 70s diner. But the smell alone will keep me from ever going back. I'd give the food like a 3.75, but the reek knocks it right down to a 2. Oh, and it was $14, no sides no drink and before tip, so not cheap, either.

Big breakfast combo - under $12. Included toast

oh no no no....we are on vacation and visited this place and quickly found only one server and a cook doing the best they could. We actually felt badly for the server and I almost jumped in to help her as customers were not yet served and more people coming in. I found the there was a women and 3 men not bothering or knowing how to help the waitress that was throwing defeated signs all over the restaurant. 2 men showed up with what appeared to be some kind of authority and we thought Finally our waitress was going to get some much needed help. Nope they only walked around the back of the counter and then sat down and watch the entire process fail with no intervention. We are staying in downtown Denver only minutes away and we will not ever try venturing in here ever again. Food was just ok, I order Faye special based on yelp pics looks good. Steak was not seasoned and eating my shoe would have been easier. eggs and potatoes were not very well seasoned at all. My wife orders Mexican Omelet that had a green chili sauce that was very good so much in so I added her green chili to my entire plate because it lacked flavor. Oh forgot !!!!! They had to close the restaurant down (10 am Sunday) due to only one server ...smh

Classic local breakfast place in Santa Fe neighborhood. Food and service was excellent. A real throwback will definitely be back when in town. Make your own Denver McGriddle!

My wife and I stopped into Steuben's to have a snack (donut holes) and a couple of rounds of cocktails. We used the Dining Out Passbook for BOGO cocktails with purchase of food. Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

Also amazing. Basically, The Original understood the assignment. Kayleigh took great care of us from start to finish. She noticed my wife and I were wearing Chris Brown and Usher tour shirts and asked if we were headed to the concert. We both replied, "No," which probably made us look like two people who just enjoy confusing strangers. We just liked the shirts, okay? Now let's talk cocktails. The "Don't Mind If I Do" was hands down one of the best Old Fashioned-style cocktails I've had in a long time. Smooth, balanced, and dangerous because it tricks you into thinking, "One more couldn't hurt." My wife ordered the Pig & Pony and absolutely loved it. We also ordered the Hot Take... which isn't pictured because we inhaled it before either of us remembered phones have cameras. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were outstanding, and the atmosphere somehow managed to be both lively and relaxing. If you're in Denver and skip this place, that's between you and your poor life choices. We'll definitely be back... preferably wearing more random concert shirts just to keep Kayleigh guessing.

I'm certain many in Colorado are well aware, but I extend the recommendation to my fellow out-of-towners. Have a cup of cofffee, omelette, and maybe a milkshake; you might leave stuffed full, but not upset. I enjoyed a Greek Omelette and a cup of coffee while my wife ordered biscuits and gravy. Later I asked AI to find me a great breakfast spot that wouldn't break the bank, and this place was the number one recommendation. Holy shit... this is one of the best breakfasts, if not the best breakfast I've ever had. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The pancakes were warm, fluffy, and so good they honestly had me wanting to come back every single morning. They're also famous for their homemade cinnamon roll, and now I know why. It was absolutely massive, covered in butter, and did not dissapoint. The real secret star though is the breakfast burrito. Stuffed with meat, eggs, hash browns, and cheese, then topped with their homemade green chili gravy. Holy moly... that gravy is a work of art. I don't even know how to describe it other than I wanted to drink it. The flavor is unbelievable. I ended up eating breakfast here every day of our trip, which is something I literally never do while traveling because I like trying different places. Now here's the crazy part... the prices. This place feels like home and the prices match. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw breakfast this affordable. It feels like stepping back 10 or 15 years. Five people could have a filling breakfast here for about what two people would spend at First Watch or a lot of the trendy breakfast places. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast, and the whole place just has that comfortable local diner feeling that is getting harder and harder to find. Overall, I'll be eating here every single time I visit Denver no matter how far out of the way it is. This place is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all costs. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend way too much time trying to recreate that green chili gravy at home... I already know I won't get it right, but I'm gonna try anyways.
