So glad that I picked this spot for brunch while visiting Denver. Bar staff was excellent, very friendly and fast. Food came out of the kitchen very quickly as well. Food: The menu had a lot of really interesting options, I got the Bluegrass Benedict. It was amazing. Literally one of my favorite benedict dishes I've had. It had layers and layers of flavors between the greens, sauce, and toppings. The home fries were crispy on the outside + soft on the inside perfection. The only part that wasn't stellar was the pork belly itself, have definitely had better, but everything else blew me away. The portion size was large. Value: I paid $22 after tip, it was a big portion and I had to eat some later (although not as good as fresh), overall great quality and service so would say value on point. This has become one of my favorite brunch spots in Denver. We got lucky and two seats at their outdoor bar opened up when we arrived, which is first come first serve. Otherwise, the wait on a weekend was going to be an hour. I ordered a Bloody Mary and crab and fried green tomato Benedict. Their menu is huge, so there should be something for everyone. The Bloody Mary was great and the crab and fried green tomato was filling and delicious. The side potatoes were crispy and a great addition. I have been wanting to try this place for sometime but it's always so busy or I miss their open hours. Finally made it on a snowy cold morning and the food here is amazing. Def plan to come early as there was a wait but the wait was worth it. Lots of southern style dishes, paired with your beverage of choice. A cute brunch place but nothing special. We tried a few of the dishes on the menu, nothing really was amazing. The Smoked Brisket Hash and Eggs sounded delicious but really lacked flavor even with the red chili ranchero sauce on the bottom. The chocolate chip pancake was OK The coffee was lacking. The "Kitchen Sink" was also nothing special The location was cute and the service was fast but didn't see the small print about the 4.25% additional service charge that is not part of the tip until after the meal was over. I haven't been here in a long time, but was in the area. The space looks the same, which is nice. The music was loud and not my cup of tea. However, even worse was two of the waitstaff were singing alone to the awful songs. Easily ignored though using ear buds. The food is where things went down hill. I had the French toast which was just toasted bread. It wasn't soaked in eggs at all from what I could tell. The sauces with it were as I remembered. I also got the kitchen sink dish. The potatoes were good, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bisquit was tasty. The sausage was so spiced it was over powering. Overall, not the best experience and I likely won't return now that there are so many other better options. It's sad. read more

It was busy when walked in for breakfast last Wednesday but luckily we were seated right away. The host was nice as she walked us to our table and she then gave us the menus to look over. Not too long after, our server came over. We stuck with waters and we ordered food. I ordered a breakfast plate that had eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. I also ordered a side of beignets to share with my table. The food didn't take too long and we dug in. My food lacked a lot of flavor and our server was no where to be found to ask for salsa, salt, and or pepper. I ended up just eating it like that...with no flavor... This spot is super cute and has overall good food. There's a decent sized dining area, and a bar that you can sit out. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The food came out quickly and warm. The side of bacon collard greens were incredible - highly recommend! The shrimp and grits was just ok. I was just outside walking up the ramp with my baby... -Cold brew: our waitress Kelsey was super enthusiastic about. She said it was "so good" but failed to mention it came in a can. That should've been mentioned forthright. -Chicken and waffles: came as a sandwich (not mentioned on menu) with some flimsy, overcooked, dried tenders. Fruit was sour, coleslaw watery, waffle was too sweet, syrup was too sweet, and "caramel syrup" was all chili. Not edible. -Cornbread: Dry (that's why you need all that butter) -Cheesy grits: more like grits with cheese topping (cheese extra $) -The Crab and Fried Green Tomato Benedict seemed to be the only thing not overcooked and with good flavor. Potatoes were burnt and hard though. -Classic beignets: donuts have a thicker consistency closer to cake. Don't forget to check your receipt for Kitchen Appreciation (4.25%)! Date of visit: February 15, 2025 We needed a place that was on the way to Costco and then the airport to return our rental car and head back to Chicago and my fellow Yelpers called this place out as a great place for brunch, and I gotta tell ya, those Yelpers are rarely wrong! Loved the waitlist ability through--who else?--Yelp that really minimized our wait as we had a bit of a time crunch here. The hostess was very friendly and hilarious, really setting a wonderful tone for the meal. Is this a good time to ask why we don't give host staff enough credit? And when I say "we," I really mean all of us, both patrons and managers/owners. The host staff is the first human interaction we have with an eatery and a bad experience here can really sour a meal, no matter how good the actual food is. And a great host can elevate a mediocre experience to a good one, or a good experience to a great one. Okay, I digress... Brian was our server and he was great, from the fascinating nails (sorry if I was starting!) to ensuring that we wanted for nothing in terms of food and drink. The food came quickly (again, see previous comments regarding time) and, perhaps most importantly, was fantastic! My pancakes were not dressed up with five different random ingredients to make them more interesting to draw your attention away from substandard batter--they were standard pancakes created and delivered flawlessly--and I destroyed them with the intensity not seen outside of the current assault on our democracy. I also sampled some of my friend's breakfast potatoes and found them to be quite good, you know, for potatoes. This was a decent brunch spot for us. One Individual from our group can't have dairy and they accommodated but still put butter for her pancake which she cannot have. Run to Four Friends for the best brunch! They don't take reservations and won't seat your party until everyone arrives but the wait wasn't long at 10am on a Saturday morning. The staff was super friendly and you could tell actually liked their place of employment and each other. It had a very happy vibe. We ordered the bacon grits bites as an appetizer which was delicious. The sauce that was drizzled on the table was a delightful addition to the salty bacon and firm grits balls. Then we got Crispy Huevos Rancheros with chorizo. The chorizo definitely added a little extra something and highly recommend you add chorizo. I got the red chili sauce on the side and I am glad I did - wow was it spicy. We also got the brisket hash. It was also full of flavor, the meat was tender, the potatoes were cooked perfectly. They serve alcoholic beverages, as well as coffee, tea, and Diet Coke but no other coke products or "fancy coffee drinks" - not a place to grab a latte. We came in for a Friday morning, brunch with a party at five. We joined the waiting list in route so that we had a shorter wait upon arrival. They do require that your entire party be present before you're seated, so keep that in mind. The restaurant is comfortable, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is well prepared. That said, the food lacks seasoning, so be prepared to add your own salt and pepper as you eat. The bacon grits bites taste like a hush puppy. We couldn't figure out where are the bacon was. The chicken tenders on the chicken and waffles and the four grits has absolutely no seasoning. The sauce with the chicken tenders on the chicken and waffles was hit or miss. Some of us liked it and some hated it. The sauce was a smoked chili caramel sauce. The scratch pancakes are huge, so a stack of them would likely need to be shared. What really grinds my gears to no end is when restaurants have surprise charges automatically levied on the bill with no forewarning. "Kitchen appreciation" fee? Get out of here with that nonsense. Started w the bacon grits bites which were more breading than anything, wouldn't necessarily recommend. This little place is serving up some awesome food with a Southern twist. We arrived mid-morning on a Monday to a very noisy & crowded dining room. It was a holiday so it was busier than usual. In spite of that we were seated right away. There are no booths, only tables & chairs that I felt were positioned too close together, I could hear other conversations. There was some seating at the bar & an upstairs had an open-air deck. The restaurant had a modern vibe, with an exposed ceiling & lot of windows with natural light. Our Server was friendly & very attentive, she checked on us numerous times. I especially liked the carafe of ice water & glasses at the table. Our food was amazing, in fact we both ordered the same thing - The Your Way Po'Boy with shrimp. The shrimp had a great spicy flavor. This was combined with tart pickled green tomatoes, delicious apple coleslaw & creamy buttermilk dressed greens all on a crunchy hoagie bun with sweet chili aioli. Plus a side of BBQ chips. This was a saucy sandwich of goodness & so delicious! Went to Four Friends Kitchen for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The servers were nice but not overly friendly. The servers share all the tables which I find a little impersonal. I requested to the collard greens on the side, however, they came incorporated in the dish despite my request. The potatoes are well seasoned and the beignets (not pictured) were delicious with the berry compote. The main dishes were a little lackluster in taste. The decor was pretty basic.
