This was the 1st place we went after landing from LA. Our stewardess even cosigned it! We were not disappointed! You will not leave hungry, cuz these are some BIG ASS BISCUITS! Make sure you get the sausage gravy and add an over easy egg! The service was great and quick. Will definitely be back if I'm in Denver again

    My biscuits and gravy entree.

My crowd descended on the DBS in Colfax just before a horrendous hailstorm for some good food to take our minds off the imminent destruction of our vehicle. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, the Missus ordered the French toast biscuit and my daughter ordered the Lola. All entrees got high marks. The service was good and the food was tasty. Their biscuits were very fluffy and complimented whatever we had added to them. My sausage gravy and biscuits was oniony and very savory without being too salty. The French toast biscuits were good and the plate was cleaned. The Lola disappeared in short order too. Ordering the Lola with syrup on the side makes for a tidier dining experience, fyi. The ambience was very chill despite the pea-sized armageddon happening outside. If anything, the meal took our minds off what was going on elsewhere. The only downside is that the meals are big portions, so come hungry!

I recently visited Denver for a brief weekend trip and this was the only restaurant I ate at for the 3 meals I had here-- there was just so much I wanted to try, we kept coming back to Atomic Cowboy. The burger is a damn good burger. The pizza slices were so big and customizable. The biscuits were huge and tasty, but so heavy, I don't think I can look at biscuits anymore. The beer is good, the cocktails are good, the vibes were good. I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely recommend this place!

The hamburger. Comes just like this no lettuce, tomato etc..but comes with shit cheese

Ok ok my yelppiiees, it been a minute so let's ease into it. Get ready cuz here it comes Good. This place has awesome ambiance. Oldies playing just hits differently Ordered the Franklin and it was decent maybe a 7. Service was decent The bad Coffee was luke warm The ugly. Holy shit where do I start? I ordered the hamburger and it came with Velvetta slices oh wait they put this shit on the fried chicken (the Franklin). They do make their pickles. However, they are not dill so don't get all excited. They are more like a sweet pickle and on the hamburger it only add to the Fukery. Oh and no fries or side comes with the hamburger. Save yourself the ekg and time and eat at Red Robin or pal out with the homeless guy outside and see if he will share his food

A classic! Bacon and biscuit were amazing!

Best place for biscuits in Denver. I stopped during my last day in Denver on my way to the farmers market (a 12-15 nice walk with vintage shops!) and the food was amazing! The biscuits are big and dense with the right ingredients making them a perfect match with the honey butter. The bacon was really good, the eggs were okay, maybe a little more salt/seasoning, but not bad. Coffee was good, essentially since it's not a coffee shop. The service was good, very attentive and knowledgeable. I'll definitely go back next time I visit Denver.

Listen anyone that knows me already knows I LOVE biscuits. I'm also extra particular lol they must be soft, tasty and have a bit of a crunch. This place really delivered on all that. The flavor of the biscuits was soo damn good! I wanted another. I wish this place was close enough for me to go on a random weekend. Sadly I don't live in Colorado so I'll have to wait until I get my next fix! Lol the place has a pool tale which I thought was cool. It's a bit small so come early or get on the waitlist. Also you can pick and refill your own mug! They have syrups and different creamers for you to create own concoction. The coffee however was cold.... Seems like the type of thermos they keep it in doesn't keep the coffee hot enough. They did bring out a fresh one but that was luke warm so when you add your creamer it's now cold. On a bright side they have great mimosas which is what I had instead of the coffee!

Finally got to check out this place. It's located in a food hall in an old airplane hanger. Super dope vibe, other great places to eat and shops there as well. They had 2 people call in sick but service was still fast, friendly and great! Tried the shrimps and grits over a biscuit and the pot pie biscuit. Both were tasty, the biscuits are yummy, moist & fluffy. Sweet tea was also nice!

Returned to this location and it still continues to hold up. The staff were friendly, checked in on us - and wanted us to have a great experience - and we did! The food was amazing! Everything was flavorful, and their portions were huge - which is great because you get your money's worth! The place was clean, they have music going - and it's comfortable overall! Definitely a must go to when you have people in town!

They were out of the Cuban sandwich so I got the 3 run order, which came with eggs, biscuit, spread, and choice of meat. The egg was badly cooked but the bacon was perfect! The biscuit was ginormous and fluffy, though I preferred the honey butter as the homemade strawberry rhubarb jam was watery. Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - limited street parking nearby

I stopped by Denver Biscuit Company because of the rave reviews on Yelp and I can say that it is definitely worth the hype...it was so good we actually came twice during our 4 day Denver trip. Over the 2 days, we ordered the Winona (twice), biscuit pot pie, the tomahawk, and fries. All of these were sooooo delicious! They're known for their biscuits and I can definitely see why but the combination of flavors for everything also needs to be recognized as well. Also, the fries were some of the best waffle fries I've had. They have unique hot sauces here too which is a +1 in my book. I heard that there's usually a wait here, but during the times I came, there was no wait and I was seated immediately. Service here is super friendly and our server went out of her way to make a lot conversation with us. The ambiance here is casual.

What a big one slice of pizza! Fork for size comparison

Came from out of town and had to come for the classic comfort food. The pizza was super big, bigger than my face.... White sauce and artichoke was really good tasty. The cheesy bites were super good too....will be back if I'm back in town

Visiting from out of town. Novel idea to use biscuits as burger buns that don't disappoint. I got The Beeler sandwich. It was definitely worth it and was quite large. My kids aren't very sophisticated so they just got a biscuit, hash brown, and fruit. They enjoyed each part of the meal and the hash browns were delicious! We came middle of the week during the daytime so there was no wait for a table and service was excellent. I believe they had a special for half off meals for my kids which was also awesome.

Best food we had in Denver!! Colorado is just so beautiful. On the way back to the airport we took a detour to eat here and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. Waitress was so kind and patient. We had a large group and she was very attentive! Highly recommend this place!

Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. Overall, Ryan made the visit. Calm presence, good company, and there's nothing better than a brunch seat at his bar next to those big open windows!

This was just for lunch, but started out sharing the crab croquettes. Fluffy and lightly fried with a perfect mayo-based dipping sauce. A great start. I had the Koji fried chicken sandwich that was very good and we shared a spectacular gooey butter cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for a shared dessert. The stand-outs were the crab croquettes and the gooey butter cake. Both were incredibly good. Would definitely return and try some of the more entree-ish looking things for dinner. Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

Laid back vibe and welcoming staff. Nothing pretentious at all. The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Always stayed on top of my drinks. The thing I like most about Death & Co is the way the categorize their drinks: Light and playful, bright and confident, elegant and timeless, boozy and honest, and rich and comforting. I had the aqua profunda (cognac, St. George basil eau di vie, lillet rose, strawberry, lime, and absinthe). I also had the eight limb daiquiri (rum, Canada aguardiente, Thai tea cordial, lime leaf, and Maraschino). The Blood Oath (mezcal, Vecchio del capo, Calabrian chili amaro, St. Germain Elderflower, lavender, honey, lemon). All were complex and delicious.
