This is the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. I'm used to the dry bricks they give you at KFC and Popeye's and my standard for measurement is Red Lobster's cheesy biscuits and the Pillsbury bake at home ones so I can't say I'm an expert, but I can say that I did enjoy my visit! Denver Biscuit Company shares the same place as a pizza joint and falls in the Atomic Cowboy building? All I know is that they're open until 2 PM so get your biscuits when you can. After entering, I was welcomed immediately and service is super friendly and attentive. I was checked on multiple times and always with a smile. There's deals for different days of the weekday and they have events there too I think. Decor is very eclectic. Think of a mixture of a retro 50's diner and bar with the wild west and a dash of sci-fi too. Very red and fun, even my booth table had a mini disco ball. And on top of that, during the holiday season, there's Xmas decorations as well. Great place to catch up and hang out I'm sure since they have a billiards table there too. For brunch, I got the Three Run Double which includes a buttermilk biscuit, 2 eggs (I got mine over easy), house made jam (it's strawberry), honey butter, and a choice of meat. I got their Polidori sausage. Solid eggs and sausage patty. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The biscuit though, absolutely divine. Nice and fluffy and moist with several layers within. Slight crumbly crust and it didn't immediately desiccate or disintegrate which is great. Went deliciously with the strawberry jam and the honey butter (slightly salty with sweetness). I was actually meting out the biscuit so I don't run out of it while consuming my proteins. It was so good! If I'm in the area, I would love to come back to try more of their menu and of course biscuits and gravy! read more

I recently visited Denver for a brief weekend trip and this was the only restaurant I ate at for the 3 meals I had here-- there was just so much I wanted to try, we kept coming back to Atomic Cowboy. The burger is a damn good burger. The pizza slices were so big and customizable. The biscuits were huge and tasty, but so heavy, I don't think I can look at biscuits anymore. Best place for biscuits in Denver. I stopped during my last day in Denver on my way to the farmers market (a 12-15 nice walk with vintage shops!) and the food was amazing! The biscuits are big and dense with the right ingredients making them a perfect match with the honey butter. The bacon was really good, the eggs were okay, maybe a little more salt/seasoning, but not bad. Coffee was good, essentially since it's not a coffee shop. Over the 2 days, we ordered the Winona (twice), biscuit pot pie, the tomahawk, and fries. All of these were sooooo delicious! They're known for their biscuits and I can definitely see why but the combination of flavors for everything also needs to be recognized as well. Also, the fries were some of the best waffle fries I've had. They have unique hot sauces here too which is a +1 in my book. Visiting from out of town. Novel idea to use biscuits as burger buns that don't disappoint. I got The Beeler sandwich. It was definitely worth it and was quite large. My kids aren't very sophisticated so they just got a biscuit, hash brown, and fruit. They enjoyed each part of the meal and the hash browns were delicious! We came middle of the week during the daytime so there was no wait for a table and service was excellent. There was a massive wait outside, but luckily, I was a solo traveler, so I was able to be seated at the bar, squeezed in between two parties. Luckily they made space for me. The person next to me ordered one as well after he saw me order. My idea of a biscuit is the one from KFC: thick, dense, and hard on the outside. thus, I did not want a sandwich. It was hard to pick between a sandwich or just biscuits and gravy because the sandwiches looked beautiful. Looking back, when the biscuits came out, they were actually a lot softer than I anticipated! I asked for half vegetarian gravy in half sausage gravy. Personally I liked the sausage gravy better. The vegetarian mushroom gravy had a strong mushroom taste. This was delicious, some of the best biscuits I have ever had. I thought I could keep going, but I got full after just one biscuit. OMG Denver Biscuit Company (also falls under the name of Atomic Cowboy) is absolutely fantastic! Their biscuits are some of the butteriest, moistest, flakiest biscuits I've ever had! I'm glad there are a handful of DBC locations throughout the city of Denver so the wealth is well spread. We came here for breakfast and I like that this DBC in particular is housed in the same space as two other restaurants, so that there's food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a wide variety of it all as well. Given that it was breakfast though, we all ordered the biscuits and what a hearty breakfast it was! These biscuits are massive - frankly, everything here comes in massive proportions including the largest cinnamon roll I've ever seen! Not only are the biscuits massive, but they're essentially sandwiches and come piled on with a ton of ingredients as well! I ordered the K-Mack biscuit sandwich, which had a Korean spin on all of it. It was Korean fried buttermilk chicken (so tender and flavorful!), toasted sesame seeds, sesame mayo, pickled daikon (the perfect burst of tart freshness - could've done with even more given how heavy all the other ingredients are), shredded cabbage, and green onions. The chicken was perfect, the biscuit was perfect, my belly was wildly happy! On top of it all, I added a side of McHashbrowns because I had to try what these were, given that I do really enjoy the McDonald's hashbrowns. These ended up being some of the best hashbrowns I've ever had. Twice the thickness of a McDonald's hashbrown and in a triangle shape, perfectly crispy on the outside and potato-y on the inside! It was way too much food and easily split into two full meals, but it was so worth it! The giant biscuit cinnamon roll that my friends and I ordered was so good as well. Like I said earlier in this review, it was truly massive and we also added the option of the bacon bits on top because we wanted to try that out. The result was delicious - salty and sweet! And even among the three of us, we couldn't finish the cinnamon roll given that we each had ordered biscuit sandwiches as well. We all ended up taking leftovers home for another meal in addition to not even being hungry by the time dinner rolled around that same day, even after a ton of hiking and exploring!
