From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and a "Welcome!" We visited late in the morning on a Sunday, which, of course, was busy. However, the environment was warm and friendly, and we were offered an opportunity to sit outside since the wait was much shorter (5 minutes). Even though we declined, our wait was only 25-30 minutes. If you make a reservation, I have no doubt you would be seated more quickly. While we waited, we ordered drinks at the bar. The bartender was terrific! I had never been to Urban Egg. Even though we were not sitting at the bar to eat, she took the time to walk me through her favorite dishes and explained why each received a high rating. When we were seated, we ordered French Toast as the appetizer (because after all, why wouldn't you)?! We moved on to our entrees, which included: The 3 Egg Breakfast with Chicken Sausage Blue Corn Huevos Rancheros Tatum's Original Avocado Toast There wasn't one bad entree. It was all delicious, hot, and tasty! Our waitress was attentive, and we watched the manager go around to each table (including ours), asking how everything was and what they could do better. I liked the idea that a leader of an establishment is interested in more than just " How is your food? Given our experience, I wouldn't hesitate to return! Terrific first impression. In Cherry Creek and we are looking for a quick breakfast, not a bagel. Around the corner from our hotel was Urban Egg and the it appears busy. Why not give them a try? For a Friday morning, the place was busy. Portions here are generous and the alcoholic beverages are flowing. We ordered a biscuit with sausage gravy and a lemon ricotta pancake accompanied with an egg. The biscuit was decent and packed full of sausage. For so much sausage, the flavor was mild. The pancake lacked any real lemon flavor and was topped with the ricotta. The flavor never really blended and was a disappointment. The staff was upbeat but understaffed, we needed to signal several times for service. Urban Egg in Cherry Creek was fair, but lacked real flavor. I can't recall anything that made our breakfast memorable. A large crowd would probably disagree as the place was very busy. read more

Urban Egg has some show-stopping starters and drinks! I visited the Cherry Creek location of Urban Egg this weekend with some friends-- if you plan to do the same I highly recommend getting on the online waitlist ahead of time to save yourself a wait! Our server was exceptionally kind with the sweetest southern accent, and helped to guide us in the right direction as first timers. To start, we ordered the cinnamon rolls and the billion dollar bourbon bacon. The cinnamon rolls came out beautifully hot and flaky, topped with savory bacon jam and a delicious, melty cream cheese icing. The billion dollar bourbon bacon was seasoned in a peppery dry rub and served with a side of maple syrup for dipping. The bites of bacon that were more on the fatty side were as close to an ambrosia as could be accomplished, while the more muscle-laden bites were a bit difficult to get through. Both starters were incredibly decadent, nearly filling our party of three on their own! Our main courses, however, unfortunately left some excitement to be desired. Maybe it was because our party was already decently full, but none of the entrees really wowed us. Our incredibly kind server directed one of our guests to order the hot chicken eggs Benedict, which ended up being far too hardy and flavor-packed for our liking. The egg entrees also felt a bit lack-luster. That said, this could be attributed to the wow-effect of the appetizers. Maybe our expectations got too high following those first bites! I will say, I love the bold peppery taste of their house hash browns, I suppose I'll need to try this joint again to see if other entree options can live up to those amazing starters! read more

Great breakfast spot located in a nice area. Staff was welcoming from the start. We were seated without a wait and had great booth seats next to the big windows looking out at the city. Coffee was good, decided on a simple black coffee however the menu offers a variety of yummy cold brews accompanied with delicious cold foams such as a vanilla or a matcha cold foam. THE BIG: Located in the Cherry creek area of Denver and right off East 1st street overlooking the cherry creek shopping mall. Indoor and outdoor tables available, however outdoor does get hot and the sun reflects off of the buildings glass that causes a mean glare. Street parking and garage available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here to eat after our Soulcycle workout and saw this place. When we first drove in, there was a huge line at 9am. When we finished our workout, the lines died down and we were able to snag a table outside. For food, we got the biscuits and gravy as well as the protein bowl. The biscuits and gravy was absolutely delicious! Biscuit was fluffy and crispy below the gravy mix. Gravy was nice and rich with chunks of meat. The protein bowl had everything healthy that included chunks of protein and then the good carbs with potatoes and greens. THE FINAL BAMBOO: For two dishes and a coffee, we spent around $40. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the pancake flight and the strawberry pancake was her favorite. So much in fact, she stated she believed it was the best pancake she has ever had. I had the egg omelette with spicy chorizo. The chorizo had good spice but there was not enough if it in the omelet and I wish it had a little more flavor. The Strawberry/Apricot jelly was delicious. The mall parking wasn't too expensive. Everything was good, from my Greek omelet which I modified, the biscuits and gravy substitute for the toast, my friends' steak and eggs, to the stuffed French toast, which was the highlight; it was really good. Our server was also very nice and competent. Everyone reallly enjoyed what they ordered and I felt it was a decent value for the price and taste. Personally I ordered the corn beef hash which was absolutely delicious. The bacon jam was a flavor bomb. Even the toast that came with my order was great! My Sweetheart and I came here last week, curious how it would stack up to the DTC location that we normally frequent. While the staff at the host stand were happy and welcoming enough, everyone else seemed rather indifferent. Not nearly as happy nor engaging as the staff of the DTC location. On this visit I had a breakfast burrito. While good it was black bean overload with beans both inside the burrito and served on the side. The tables on both sides of us ordered cinnamon rolls and they smelled delightful. The atmosphere of this location isn't as "fun" as the DTC location though that's just a matter of personal preference. Will we be back? Eh, perhaps if the wait time is less than half but otherwise, we'll stick to where we prefer. read more

I came to Urban Egg in Cherry Creek for the second time the day after Christmas. Parking was surprisingly easy to find around 11 am but I hate having to pay for parking to eat at a restaurant. That ended up being $4 for 2 hours. I added myself to the Yelp waitlist almost an hour beforehand and still had to wait 45 minutes for 4 people. The restaurant itself is not too big so there aren't that many tables. My daughter loved their drawing board, which I had to ask for. Not sure if they normally provide it automatically for kids or not. The server was very friendly, although my daughter's juice did not come until i asked for it almost towards the end of the meal (because the server was busy and hadn't been by the table in a while). I love that the food is organic and locally sourced but I do wonder how much of the food is actually organic. I really enjoyed the Biscuits and Gravy but it could've used more gravy. My friends ordered the Breakfast Tacos and the Chicken and the Egg dish and really enjoyed both. My daughter got her usual at any breakfast restaurant- the kids chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. She said her meal was good but the pancakes were eggy. I will definitely come back because I know the food is consistently good. read more
