    Darkwing Duck!
    Jon L.

Darkwing Duck! Our bartender Rich was amazing. During happy hour (3:00-6:00) you can get four sweet Asian style duck drumettes for $13 and a boilermaker with a tall boy of lager with a shot of Four Roses bourbon for $9. $22 for this meal is a certified steal.

The service was a little slow but the food tasted great! I met my friend here for lunch around 1pm. We did not have a reservation so we waited about 5mins. Our waitress came by quickly with menus and waters. She introduced herself and asked if we needed a minute. We did so she left and came back with 10mins. We placed an appetizer order and ordered our entrees. The appetizer came out within 15 minutes and then the entrees arrived 30mins after that. We ordered the Mac and cheese appetizer to share. It was really good! Very creamy and well blended with all the cheeses. I got the chicken n waffles. The chicken breast was huge and fried! The waffle was cut up into four pieces and dusted with powdered sugar. I really enjoyed the flavors of savory and sweet! The maple syrup was great! It was a great classic dish! It was about 45 minutes until our waitress returned and asked if we wanted dessert. We said yes and got the seasonal pie, it was key lime! Wow what a tart pie haha you kinda go into it knowing it's going to be tart but it was a little much for me haha. I definitely used the whipped cream to calm down the tartness haha it was still really good! By the time we were fished it was 3pm. So we were there for TWO hours... that's a little too long in my opinion. Overall it was a great experience with great food and a lovely waitress. The service of how often she checked on us/took our orders could have been speed up haha but again, over all it was great and I'm looking forward to going back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant for our 7pm reservation the bar was busy, but the restaurant was empty. We decided to keep our reservation and so glad we did. Our server was so friendly wish I got her name. I do know she was somewhat new because she told us after we asked for some suggestions. She told us what is popular because she hasn't been able to try all the food. For the appetizers we split the mac n cheese and Nashville bites. The mac n cheese was good as well as the Nashville Bites. For dinner two of us had the chicken enchiladas and the other two had the bison meatloaf. The enchiladas were so tasty and the sauce had a little kick to it. The chicken was very moist and plenty of it. My friend's devoured the bison meatloaf. They couldn't beloved how good it was. The only negative I would say about the entire meal was they charge for refills on their soda. The restaurant isn't that big, so I do suggest making reservations. After about 15 minutes of being in the restaurant it started filling up.

I give this place a 4 because they're pretty good but not the best brunch I've had. I was there because of the pearl st market and my friend has dietary restrictions so we chose this place as they have healthy options. I got the bacon and eggs Avocado toast. Not bad but a little pricey for what you get but this is Denver. However, I did knock back 2 brut wines lol. Those were a good price. It's a cute place and great to sit outdoors on a nice day. I would visit this place again and the service overall was really good. Stop in when on Pearl St.

My wife, adult son & his wife, other adult son, and I visited this restaurant last night and really enjoyed our dining experience together to celebrate our younger son's birthday. The restaurant was right on the main, popular Pearl Street in Platt Park, parking was basically limited to bust street parking, the outside of the restaurant was interesting, loved their sign, had a round, stone table with fire to keep us warm and this is where we had our dinner celebration, the nicely decorated dining room was spacious and clean, our server was friendly and excellent, the menu was adequate and on the pricey side, our food was very tasty and was served hot, and the restrooms were clean and did not smell.

What a yummy spot in south Denver - such a cute street and atmosphere. Our waitress was really nice and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the turkey club sandwich and a side salad, and it was so delicious and refreshing. The turkey club had a great ratio of turkey to bacon - sometimes the turkey can make the whole thing dry. It was so tasty! Parking is reasonable along the street. Prices were a little steep for what you get, but still reasonable, I'd say. It also took quite a bit of time for our food to come out of the kitchen. We did come after the lunch rush, so I was hopeful food would be out sooner.

This is the cutest place! I met some friends for a late lunch and drinks and we all just loved it. They have a cute patio in the front, our server was so nice and attentive, and all of our salads (and the fries) were delicious! It has a hip/casual vibe and would be a great brunch spot. We'll be back!

Service was terrible and they weren't even busy. Drinks were great. Food was disappointing. My burrito had very little protein in chicken sausage. Somehow I couldn't get a fried chicken substitute. The burrito had fresh veggies but it was more of a vegetarian burrito than anything else. The lack of service really ruined the experience for me to be Frank.

    Bison Meatloaf
    Amy R.

Love that this great little spot is so close to my house! The service has always been friendly, the food is delicious, and it comes out fast (but not too fast). Our favorite this time around was the bison meatloaf, which had a deliciously spicy ketchup on top and crispy brussel sprouts. The turkey shepherd's pie was also good (we just tend to like pot pies better, but their mashed potatoes are pretty darn flavorful). We liked our winter salad too-- it added a great acidic complement to our rich entrees.

Our favorite lunch is the Blackened Chicken Philly halved with sweet potato fries.

This was my first Culinary Dropout experience which was on a date night and dinner outing. There was ~45 minute wait for a table as it was "dinner rush hour" before the weekend. We were seated in the bar area at a high top so we were very close to live music performer! So that was an enjoyable portion of the experience! The interior was dimly lit, loud and lively, and offered a rustic but modern feel. Based on this experience, food was overpriced and mediocre. We tried the fish and chips ($23) and fried chicken ($26). We were disappointed the fish and chips were not served with fresh lemon to "baptize" the fried fish. Fries were limp and didn't seem fresh. Also thought the fried fish should have had a crispier crust. The fried chicken was good flavor and texture on fried crust but the white meat was very dry. Mashed potatoes and gravy were lukewarm and not served hot. Also I tried to season the mashed potatoes but the pepper grinder at the table was completely empty. Biscuit was dry, overcooked, and lacked butter. Probably will opt for other options next date night.

Now I want to make this location my go-to. Its location is convenient. On north end of the charming South Pearl Street, it's an easy access from I-25. Everything is so walkable from there to other shops on the same street or even on the other side of the highway. After entering the restaurant, I noticed that there is/was a large menu on the the left wall right at the entrance so I took the time to peruse before I turned my attention to the ordering counter. And there, a young lady with a very warm smile was already standing there staring at me with a pleasant "Hi". What an attentive service that was! I am pretty familiar with their menu although I did ask her some questions to which she replied with the needed information. One of the questions I had was about one of the sauces (that they offer complimentarily for chicken meat) and it's called piri piri. As far as I can remember, she said it's tomato based with a little spiciness (it might contain some red peppers as well.) Chimichurri was simply too ordinary as that is what I always get so I decided to go out of my way to do something not so ordinary; I got to be a little adventurous. What I ended up getting me was 1/2 of dark chicken, a side of smashed cucumber slices (salad) and a side of mac and cheese. Once my food was packed and ready, a different worker (male) handed me my food. He was also very polite and cordial. I always appreciate their top-notch customer service. I was on my way to work my side hustle downtown so this meal was what I needed to consume before that job assignment. Once I got to my car, I opened my bag and immediately started my early dinner. The dark chicken meat was perfected moist. The red sauce I got gave it a nice kick to the whole enjoyment of the main. The smashed cucumber is light and refreshing with some tanginess to it. The mac and cheese (I believe) is a vegan dish (am I right) but whatever they use to make the typical mac and cheese taste is/was still there with no sacrifice. And get this, nothing (absolutely NOTHING) was oversalted. Lately, I have been encountering more and more restaurant where they season their dishes with too much salt which truly upset me. Chook's conscientious way to cooking all the dishes is what I can appreciate the most. And the quality of ingredients they use are almost guaranteed. This place is simply not for chicken or sub or salad lovers. If you want to spend a casual after 5pm time, they do serve quality beers, wines and cocktails on top of soft drinks. As much as I appreciate this restaurant, I am not sure if it is talked about amongst my foodie friends. My sincere hope is that they utilize your business as often as I do. You deserve so much appreciation and accolades from them.

Lincoln's has a menu with several well known items that have been raved about in magazines and online forums. The menu is most definitely Cajun cuisine, and that is what I appreciate about it the most. I ordered the meatloaf cheeseburger under the Roadhouse Traditions of the menu. This was worth it. The meatloaf is tender, moist, and juicy. The brioche bun adds a good grabbing point for your hands for this beast of a meal. Instead of fries, the bartender/server/owner allowed me to try the hush puppies as a trade out. This was very nice of him to do and of course was not expected nor expected in the future. The hush puppies were phenomenal- perfectly cooked, fried, and seasoned. I washed everything down with a King Cake Daiquiri. It does indeed taste like King Cake if you're familiar.
