I've been back a few times now, and Après Govnr's Park just keeps getting better. If you like wings, order the regular Buffalo wings tossed in the hot honey sauce. Seriously, they're some of the best I've had. Crispy, juicy, and just the right balance of heat and sweet. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the people. Every visit, I've been welcomed like a regular. Chelsea behind the bar always takes great care of me, and Joe has built the kind of neighborhood place where you can tell the staff actually enjoys being there. Matt, Cookie, and Aiden have all been awesome too, and everyone else I've met has been just as friendly. It's one of those places where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. First time coming and it is self service through kiosk- get your own water/table wear and although sometimes that can be a good thing, today it fell short. We found it hard to edit the cart until checkout and I just wanted some ice but didn't want to bother the 1 person bartending. Food came out quick and we loved the warm chips and guacamole. The fish tacos were ok and the burger was ginormous and messy! The pretzel hit the spot! Ambiance gives service vibes so it was surprising that you don't get any. Sad to think the future of dining involves less people- I know sometimes it's a good thing but it did not seem to fit this restaurant- still in the hunt for our new Hornet-RIP! read more

We always have a good time at Apres at Govnr's Park. The outdoor seating is one of the best parts of the experience, especially when the weather is nice. They have fun games like rings and darts that make it easy to hang out for a while, and the overall atmosphere is super relaxed and lively without feeling overwhelming. The food has consistently been really good every time we've come, which is honestly what keeps bringing us back. My only complaint is the happy hour. The specials are pretty underwhelming since it's basically just about a dollar off drinks and there aren't really any food deals. That's usually what makes us choose other spots first when we're specifically going out for happy hour. That said, the vibe, patio, and food are always enjoyable once we're there. read more

We were so surprised at how neat the inside of Apres Govnr's was. A large restaurant great for large groups and sports games due to there multiple TVs. The bar connects through to Carboy Winery so they have wine, beer, mixed drinks to selects from. We just got fried as a snack to split, we were there to see friends and have a drink but man were the fried cooked to perfection. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. A perfect neighborhood spot! The bartender and server were super nice and friendly! I usually pass this place on the way home down Logan street and it always seems so packed! It was spacious on the patio when I went with my friend, tho and the bartender said that Thursdays are the days when the locals are heavy! I saw like 2 guys alone with laptops on the patio - that's how neighborhoody it is I guess! It was fun to sit on the patio with a margarita and hearty and flavorful asada fries and watch the Trader Joe's activities across the street! Will definitely be back! Great place to grab a drink! Stopped by for a pre-dinner drink while visiting Denver and it was adorable. So many drink options to choose from, friendly, staff and an adorable environment that nods at Colorado's ski culture. We didn't have time for more than one drink but I'll definitely be heading back if I visit Denver in the summer because the beer garden looked so nice! read more

The chicken Cesar salad was out of this world!! One of the best if not the best chicken salads I've had in a very long time. The chicken was so tender and juicy--very fresh. Not to mention the salad either. Their garlic dressing was so delicious! I will come again just for their salad. The service was great, fast, and friendly. Restaurant/bathrooms clean. Food here was great! It was hard to choose but the birria tacos and chicken sandwich made the cut. With a sides of fries and elote dip. Margs all day. All day would repeat all the things but can't wait to try the French onion soup, burger, and shrimp cocktail. Our bill was like $85 with 4 drinks and all that food too! AMAZING VALUE! They also have a GREAT looking happy hour (3-5 m-f) and daily specials which include a drink and a meal for $15!!!! Great neighborhood spot! read more

Get the green chile, skip the wings. The chile is bright and fresh with just the right level of heat and a nice toasty undertone. The wings were over $2 each and slimy and while the mango habanero had enough heat it was otherwise pretty bland. The vibe is cool and the staff is the best. There are just other places to find wings and that's ok. read more

I guess I am confused. This is the third incarnation in this location post Governors Park by (I think) the same owners/operators. I stopped in for happy hour at Pancho Poncho and found it was no more. There must have been something the public didn't see about Logan Street that made them close it and try something else. I guess I am still sad about that. That place was superior to Pancho and Apres and had a unique menu. Now this is a kind of beer hall/craft beverage, with counter service and ski town decor. There are multiple Colorado beers/spirits featured which is cool. We had some nachos and carboy wines. The nachos continue to be great and the staff continue to be friendly. I am glad to see the Gov Park burger back on the menu. We didn't linger too long. I'm not sure how this spot will work in the neighborhood, but I wish them well. read more

I sat on the patio with my dog and enjoyed the French dip sandwich which was INCREDIBLE and the Mexican lager from broken compass !! You now order your food inside at their counter/bar and the staff working there was super helpful when I was deciding what I wanted. They give you a pager and then they bring you your food! Loved that so much! Looks like they added a bunch of tables outside and now have beautiful plants everywhere it was a great spot to hangout on a Friday afternoon!! read more

We went for happy hour, Apres opened this week! We loved pancho poncho before too, and I'm happy they kept some of their menu! The carne asada bowl was sooooo good. My friend got cheese enchiladas and loved them as well. Craig, the owner, came by multiple times to make sure everything was tasting and going well. We sat out on the patio and it was a gorgeous day! Craig ended up gifting us these bottle of wine. It's set up now so you go up to a counter inside to order and they bring everything out to you. Came out quick! I love that they're connected to car boy and serve/sell their wine! Most Mexican restaurants don't have great wine- but they do here! We will definitely be back :) read more

Almost a hidden treasure! Most hospitable group of people, and excellent food. Our bartender/server, Lisa, was extremely helpful and cordial. She had excellent suggestions and accommodations for our dietary issues (most kind for GF diners especially) . My favorite is the burger -- not the typical lettuce and tomato burger -- super yummy. The entire menu is pretty unique, an adventure. We look forward to returning to this special place soon. It is located across the street from Trader Joe's on Logan, with patio seating and much seating inside. It's not obvious but good to know that they do have parking for diners located across their back alley (enter from Pennsylvania, one block east). read more

Great food/beverage options. I had the fish and chips and they tasted incredible. Perfectly crispy, paired with golden fries that hit all the right notes. A lot of things I want to try on this menu. The French Dip and French Onion Soup looked amazing. Après seems to have something for just about everybody and I'm very happy they have some of the Poncho menu still available. Can't wait to go back and try more. The service throughout my visit was excellent -- attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Après offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a diverse menu that encourages you to come back and explore more. Disappointed to be prompted with a default 20/25/30% tip option for counter service food and beverage. Just charge us what is required to pay your staff appropriately, show the actual price on the menu - ideally inclusive of tax and fees and tips for labor. Regardless, to set the default at 20% for a counter service setup is unacceptable. Beyond that, excited to frequent an inviting neighborhood spot with quality food and drinks. read more

I dig the new concept and the menu is great. I also love how this ownership group has continued to evolve to find what is right for the neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed the new decor, and loved how easy it was to order, then grab a table. The food was basically delivered a few minutes after we chose our table and put the locater on the green, Apres spot. I had the French Dip, which was excellent. I thought there could have been more meat on the sandwich. I shared the same with the manager on duty and he was very receptive to the feedback, thanked me for letting him know, and was generally interested in making it right for me, and for future customers. Now, this is silly, but what brings me to providing a review is I just had my kiddo's leftover steak quesadilla and it was AMAZING. I want to order one of each variety next time we go back. I could be overselling the quesadilla, but that's probably because the steak was prepared so well. read more
