This is such a fun and interesting spot to check out. It definitely is very loud and has a dive bar feel, so if you aren't into that try another bar out. It was very busy but easy to find an open table, and the entire time I was here I was having fun looking at the decor. Such a good spot! The interior is cozy, dimly lit, great spooky decorations. Walked in on a Monday night, found a small booth and ordered some drinks. My boyfriend got the Tuaca this way, a hot toddy basically, and he loved it. The cup was huge and it was perfect for a chilly night. I got the EX presso Martini and it was amazing! Good sizes on both drinks. I ended up getting 2 and would've had more - it was one of the best I've had. The gentleman serving us was nice. This is one of my favorite neighborhood bars, and I don't even live in the neighborhood! The vibe here is kind of dive bar, kind of hipster, kind of rock and roll, kind of local watering hole. It's a cool space with always friendly staff, good food, and good drinks. It's rare these days that you can find a really solid Manhattan for $9, that is also a nicely presented drink. Bar Nun stands out in that regard. This is one of those bars that if I lived closer I would probably be in here all the time. 10/10 recommend! read more

Bar nun is by far the best place off Logan to have drinks and eat.... They have amazing pizzas, Philly steak sandwiches, wings, and many other filling options. The pickle shots were great and we love a tap seltzer but the food was mediocre to inedible. We ordered cheese bread and bacon jalapeño poppers (unbreaded ones! Iykyk). The bread was not great but was edible. The jalapeños, though. Completely raw and room temp. The peppers could not even have been heated. Ordered food for takeout, we ordered the Black & Bleu burger and hickory burger with sweet potato fries, we also ordered the Mac & Cheese with garlic bread and for dessert their churro and ice cream. The food was delicious, burgers were cooked just right and looks to be a popular place, nice location and pleasant atmosphere inside. Will have to come and actually sit down and eat and have a drink the next time. Overall good experience and will definitely try this place again, nice that it's only down the street from where I have an apartment. Fun spot and interesting dive bar feel. Unfortunately all draft beer out of order so only options were about 7 or 8 bottles like Bud, Michelob ultra and a couple others. Pretty disappointing. Bar keep was fine service a tad slow. Not sure I would go back but likely I'll give it another try months from now once they fix their taps. read more

This is my favorite neighborhood spot to chill at and read/write on the patio. Very low key, easy bar menu, I dig the salads, and the bartenders are cool. I've never sat inside, but the space is cool too. They also have a giant skeleton that blinks it's eyes at you inside, which for me is a plus. read more

Bar Nun is a great, chill place to go to for brunch. It's a fun mix of decor that includes misbehaving nuns, Jesus with face paint, skeletons, and everything else in between. You can't beat their bottomless mimosas at $13 with an entree. This time I had their chicken tenders and waffles with spicy maple syrup. The syrup had a kick but added a great savory bite to the dish. My friend had the breakfast burrito which I have had before. I loved this place so much. First of all their music is on point. I went three times. During the day they were playing some not-to-up-beat 80's which is the only answer. I have lived across the street from this bar for years,, no complaint.. It's what you expect from a neighborhood bar. I recognize the owner by name,, mostly know the staff.. I brought dates, friends and myself whenever I felt like going out on my own.. I have been living in this neighborhood for about 8 years.. Long story short. tonight was my breaking point! I went to the bar to hang out,, the same bartender normally makes me feel like I am not welcomed was working, cool! what else is new.. Next to me there is this gorgeous women, he would cross the bar every 10 minutes to buy her a shot,, they pick and choose who to wait on.. I had to wait for 45 mints to get another drink that I am paying for when workers are doing dam shots! I didn't necessary care but it took me another 40 minutes to close my tap. WTF On my way out, I met the security personal, he offered me a drink to make it up to me but I was not interested,, talked to him then he brought the problem boy out so I can talk to.. I said I am not talking to him,, I would not do this.. I am out to have a good time not to fix racism!! I walked away.. This is my side of the story, You want to be nice to the customers you like, I get it!! However, to the rest of us, who live in the neighborhood and pay your rent by tipping you? you will need to treat us with respect. Brown/black and whatever shade we come in. I felt like shit every time I interacted with you! I was at the bar for a drink, I never caused any troubles, and tipped generously regardless of the servers.. In love with Bar Nun and the incredible staff. I just moved to the neighborhood and this place never fails. From the delicious pickle shots to the quirky crowd that fills up even during the week. This bar is equipped with a patio that's covered as well as plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Food is served here and it's better than the average bar food. Back to the pickle shots though... the best recipe I've ever had. I can literally drink that stuff on the rocks. If you're in the Cap Hill area, this bar is a must. Try their loaded fries! Let the chef choose what to load them with...you won't be disappointed. Butch, the owner is always there. He's truly the best. The ambiance resembles catholic nuns... such a quirky little vibe. I've driven by this bar for years and I decided to finally check it out after Westword wrote an article of the top 100 bars in Denver. I've been to nearly all of them & I decided it would be my New Year's resolution to have a drink at all of them. My first thought was what a residential looking neighborhood with somewhat difficult parking. The building itself looks like an old floral shop or British tea house. It is kind of elegant but very comfortable and inviting. The furnishings are like an old hotel lobby, but with a twisted edge and some strange (in a good way) artwork. We only had cocktails and I probably had too many, but the Manhattan was fabulous. They also have a clear refreshing and wonderful smelling seltzer I think it is called the 'Scarlet Letter'? Butch, the head 'spiritual advisor' (that's what his business card says) informed us that they are the only bar in town that serves it, so you have to go there to try it. I can't wait to come back in the summer and ride my scooter for easier parking. (I think he said they have a parking lot? - I was tipsy) The tented patio looks great & I want to try the food. The best part about the bar is the laid back friendly vibe, centered around conversation and not so much games. They do have good music (think the old Gabors) and they had sports balls on the TV, the volume was not loud and there were several sports balls to choose from. I highly recommend this bar. "Bar Nun" is a great name, but not something I could imagine saying out loud. Also, a nun is already thing that isn't "none" and I don't associate them with bars. No need to be cute with the spelling here. Much easier to say "there's a neighborhood pub-like deal down the street that's fine". Nobody will be saying the name.
