Lost Lake, I like you. Maybe my expectations were low? But my buddy and I had a great experience on Monday. We were here for the William Duvall acoustic show. What surprised us the most was the efficiency of the bartenders and the coziness of the space. Honestly, I'd pull up a stool at the bar even if I wasn't here for a show! $6 Old Fashioneds with Old Forester as their well whiskey. Hell yeah, dude. Decent selection of local taps, as well. Plus, they have a TV screen behind the bar where you can watch the performing acts. Now this place is tiny. I can't imagine there were more than 100 people here for the show. But that only made our experience all the more enjoyable. William Duvall is the lead singer of Alice In Chains (since the mid-2000s) and he's been touring his new solo acoustic record. I can't think of a more appropriate venue for him to have performed at. First impressions are strong here. Definitely worth checking out for a great live show!

Great drinks, intimate venue Came here to see a friend's band perform. Tickets were $20 online but $15 at the door. They check vaccination cards at the door which is awesome. The drinks are great, bar staff was kind, the bathroom facility was a little dirty. Music acts were all awesome. The volume is super loud so be careful!

Open space, quick drinks, friendly faces, it was great! Floor space was limited but edged us closer to the bar, WIN!

I am trying to articulate how much I like this brand new Colfax bar. Perhaps a bulleted list would fully express my affection? 1. Gardetto's 2. Heavy on the whiskey selection and inventive mixed drinks. I can't wait to try the coke/red wine (or was it vermouth?) concoction, because believe it or not, I went through that phase a few years back. 3. Hello! Electric piano 4. Rad b+w movies behind the bar 5. $1 off drafts during happy hour 6. Photo booth 7. Jazz on Sundays and Mondays, Dj's on Wednesday, and bands on Thursdays. What else can I say? 8. We share the same initials: L.L.L. How could I *not* love this place? Yep, it's dark inside but there is a fireplace to light things up. Hanging out there is like a cross between hanging out in your grandpa's basement and being inside a tree. And if Tony is your 'tender while you're there, well...he's just easy on the eyes. That's all I'm sayin'.

Nate is the best Bartender in Denver. Not only did he manage my hand modeling career, he made me the highest paid hand model in The world.

Why does a bar modeled after some weird lakeside Wisconsin fishing retreat exist on Colfax?

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

My friends and I tried a number of the signature cocktails and had a few hot toddys that were super good. I'm personally a big gin and soda fan and loved ther housemade tonic that was in their classic G&T. Did not try any of the food but the dawgs were definitely would be tempting if I was hungry. Loved the decor and the plants all up in the space. The space is a bit more dimly lit and I think of a reasonable volume for a date. Would love to come back and spend some more time here.

Cash only. $5 for all drinks. Don't expect any fancy cocktails. They can still make a juice, soda, liquor concoction with a lime, and voila! You have a cocktail. The crowds are super diverse in age and ethnicity, a rarity I desperately often miss in CO. The music is awesome.. 90's grunge, rnb, hiphop. We bought a stack of playing cards. Also $5 and entertained ourselves for hours. I visited other bars afterwards and had to come back to old faithful for our nightcap. If you're looking for a casual and fun place to hang without breaking the bank, this speakeasy is it!

Lincolns absolutely delivers on the speakeasy vibe - from trying to find the door, to figuring out how to actually get inside (LOL), to settling in with drinks once you're finally through. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and memorable. **Tip: it actually isn't too hard to find. I won't completely spoil it for people who want the fun of the hunt, but I'll leave a few hints at the bottom. The drink special that night - their version of an Old Fashioned - was excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The other cocktails are liquor + mixer with the soda or bar gun. We tried a local gin (can't remember the name) & soda and a Four Roses Bourbon & Pepsi. There was a odd flavor that came with that round and tasted watered down. Stick with the special. So good! I'd go back all day for the special alone. The staff was a little bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the experience. Everyone was nice, but they didn't seem especially engaged, and the attire didn't really match the speakeasy atmosphere. That said, the space itself is large and immersive enough that once we had our drinks, we just leaned into the whole experience and had a great time. HINTS: 1. Go to the address listed... duh. 2. Something is COOKING through the glass. 3. Find the stairs down. 4. If you hear music and see some impressive doors, figure out how to LIFT the handle to get inside.
