I'm not sure what it was but my time at Canopy was so enjoyable that my group all left smiling and laughing. What really stood out to me was the music because they had such a seamless flow of music that had everyone on their feet having the best time ever. The DJ was situated in the back room and was spinning live. the backroom had fun murals including a colorful heart wall and a mural with bedazzled elements. The bar was packed with all ages and everyone seemed super friendly including the staff. I appreciated the concept of all the string lights dimly lit under the ceiling. I thought it was cool of them to have plenty of seating including community tables, booths, and standing room. It was packed without it feeling too crammed as it was still easy to maneuver. Great for groups and casual drinks! Came here for a Vanderpump Rules watch party. They have an open concept style with unique walls and tons of ceiling lights, its a very cool vibe that almost feels outdoors. They accommodated around 30 of us playing the finale on al the TVs. I am sure the bartenders were not a fan of the show, but they were good sports making Pumptini's and letting us be loud. Plenty of street parking and cocktails were around $10 which seems very fair. If you come here to watch the game or just meet up with friends and have a couple of drinks, I don't think that you can go wrong. Thank you for the fun night! Definitely plan on coming back. Seeking to do a little post dinner bar-hopping as part of my friend's bachelorette, we made our way down Broadway and right into Canopy. SPACE: Canopy has a killer atmosphere. I love all the string lights and the neon sign towards the back of the space. Everything just exudes all the vibes we were looking for. SIPS: At this point in the evening, we had all pretty much settled on vodka sodas with lemon and lime. Simple and just what we needed to avoid the potential for hangovers the next day. Haha! They do offer up a variety of specialty cocktails and have a rather extensive draft beer menu available. SERVICE: The bartenders were super friendly and handled the busy night with ease! They checked back with us and made sure our glasses were never empty. Came here on a Tuesday evening for what was more-or-less a private event. Shout-out to the one bartender (Ryan) who held down the fort! I was impressed. The cocktails were quite boozy, and there's a decent variety of drinks overall. It's a long cute space with booths and bar seating, as well as pool and shuffleboard tables in the back. Located down and across the street from Punch Social, this place was cute with the hanging lights across the ceiling, a neon sign, some booths and pool tables. The drinks were inexpensive compared to the Bay Area, obviously.Although, the crowd was a bit louder than the playlist, the music was hip hop's top 40 from the songs I could hear. They had a photobooth as well tucked in a corner by the bathrooms. The bartender was attentive and quick which is always a plus especially at a crowded bar. Drinks were strong and the decor is cute. I wouldn't mind coming here again. Turn the volume up on the music though, granted it was a Tuesday night. haha! read more

This place has a horrible style and entire vibe. My friend and I were just looking for a chill place to grab a drink since karaoke ended at 1 where we were prior. There's. Huge security guard out front, and after checking out which bars looked nice we proceeded to go to ... canopy. This place is a joke. Worst bar I've experienced since I've been here living 5 months, visiting for over a year. This bar has a wanna be posh, LA vibe. The bartender in the photo sucked. She seemed irritated that we even came in. Before we walk in, my friend ASKED if they're still allowing customers only to eventually get rushed out of the door. The security guard said yes, only to less than 10 minutes later asks us to gulp our full pints of beer because they're "closing". It was 1:20ish? I got my tab and saw a fee I've never seen before. Which I assumed was a shot I ordered. She never explained. We asked for a couple tastes of the beers they have on tap. She just seemed like she didn't have time for us. But there were no more than 7 people at the bar. My friend even tried to disarm her by complimenting her shirts. She said "thanks" with the most dull smile ever. My friend decided to ask the bartender specifically how many minutes we had until we had to finish our beer.. she told us by 1:50...only for the security guard to make rounds and scream at us that they're close "time to go folks." It got to the point that I said screw it, and left half the pint sitting there after spending well over $30 for beer, shot, and a swift kick out the door. Besides the ambiance, I can't see how this place will last. I'll never consider going back. Horrible, rude, entitled, and not friendly to the LGBTQ community. Obviously I'm a person of color. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN AND WANT TO BE SAFE DO NOT GO HERE. My friends and I were physically assaulted by a bouncer. He shoved girls with both hands full force hoping to push them to the ground and laughed while he did it. He was not a small man which is an incredibly scary situation for any woman. He did this for no reason whatsoever, we were just waiting to get a drink at the bar and never gave a reason for his behavior to us or anyone else. Everyone in the bar saw this happen and was completely disgusted. Later in the night we took a photo of him to have photo evidence of who hurt us and he grabbed the phone out of my friends hand and threw onto the concrete so hard that he cracked the front and back of the phone. If you are a manager of this bar and continue to employ this person and allow this behavior you are absolutely disgusting. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAR! read more

This bar is super fun and in the midst of everything going on, on South Broadway. I love the lights that hang and the cool signage in the back. It can get a tad bit too packed for my liking later in the night, but is great if you get there around 6-7 and can hear each other talk. Not to bro-y but still a majority of young professionals. The lighting makes it. Sometimes with they would have more bartenders. As it gets busier it can be hard to squeeze through over the people at the bar to get a drink. I was welcomed to an attitude by a bartender and it didn't stop for the horrid hour that I was at this place. At the end of the hour I went to get my bar tab and was greeted by a bartender that took 10 minutes to get back to me. He came back and without any comments from me he said " I was just saying goodbye to my friend that's going back to TX." He continued to start screaming at me. Oh man. I don't even know where to start. The music is good but the management is the opposite. They say people don't quit BC they don't like their job, it's BC they don't like their manager. The bartenders were working their butts off!! Shout out to Kelsey, blonde bartender, she was working hard! I went up to the bar after sweating so much on the dance floor. (Really hot in there) and waited at the bar for 10 minutes. No acknowledgment what so ever. There was this guy in a 3 piece suite standing behind the bar, doing nothing. I politely asked for a water and he rudely snapped "I'm not a bar tender!" I was shocked and was like okay I'll wait a little longer while poor Kelsey was working up a sweat. 10 more minutes went by and this guy, MARVIN, was still posted up not lifting a finger. Again I asked, can you just pour me a quick water. He snapped again even worse this time "I'm not a bartender. Why are you complaining so much for something FREE!" I responded I'm sorry is there a water station I'm happy to help myself since u aren't doing anything! (There r no water stations)!Still no help from Marvin. I later find out HE IS THE MANAGER!!! He didn't lift one finger to help out his customers and just stood and watched his employees work their asses off. Not. A. Fan. A place with management like that is bound to fold. One of my top 3 favorite bars in Denver. My friends are in the industry and typically only recommend spots with top notch bartenders suited to quality craft cocktails. Bartender did an excellent job with our cocktails. Overall decor was classy, vibrant but not over done. Layout of the bar provides a good mix of open vs crowded space for different folks to choose. DJ was on point and had a pretty good dance floor going in the back. Side note, I wish they'd just ditch the pool table to increase the dance space.
