the neon sign for stadium inn
    Matt C.

I'm a sucker for a good dive. Stadium Inn has been in business for the better half of a century. Right off the DU campus, I'd assume this is a hot spot for the college crowd. We came here on a Friday night after dinner nearby. The signage alone is enough to draw you in. One thing I love about these old buildings is that you have no idea what's on the inside just based on its appearance. As we walked in, I made an audible sigh of relief. Yep, this is just what I wanted. This is one of the divier dives I've frequented in Denver. One bar with the room divided into two sections. Lots of booths, TV's, random pictures and signs on the walls, two pool tables and one bartender serving about 20 people on a Friday night. Beer and a shot for $5? Say no more. Montucky and Evan Williams was my potion for the evening. Inflation is nowhere to be found in the little abyss of Stadium Inn. You're not ordering a craft cocktail by any means, but you don't miss it here. They have some picnic tables outside near the smokers corner, so if the weather obliges park your keister on the patio. Like any dive, the bathrooms have seen better days. There's essentially a trough in the men's room. I was gonna let you figure it out for yourself. But whatever, there's your spoiler alert. It won't kill you, maybe you'll make a new friend while you're there! Solid dive. Will return to this Denver classic!

Ordering was electronic, everything came out incredibly fast, and most importantly, the food and drinks were delicious. I also really appreciated the family-friendly and pet-friendly environment. My daughter has dogs, and I'm allergic, so when I visit her in Colorado I don't get to spend time at her house. But at the same time, I feel bad if we're out all day/night and her dogs are left home alone. Finding places that are dog-friendly (but outdoors) where I can keep a comfortable distance from pet hair and dander is the perfect compromise for us. Each visit, we're always on the lookout for places like this, and I'm so glad we finally tried Denver Beer Co. It checked all the boxes and made our time together that much more enjoyable... and the dogs loved all of the pets they got from the other customers! We'll definitely be back on future visits.

Stay for the good that they're doing in the community. I visited thinking that it was another brewpub and I was delighted to see that there were food, coffee and non-alcoholic options. Our group was delighted across the board with what we got. This space though is so much more than a restaurant. There were coworking spaces, beautiful crafts from local makers, and a playground. It is truly a welcoming space.

We came on a beautiful Saturday morning - I was able to enjoy a coffee drink while my little one got to play in their amazing play area! This is a parent's dream. They have clean bathrooms (with all the things you need for diaper changes) and reliable wifi (aka for working if needed). We have since returned and tried the food as well. While I don't find it especially amazing, it's good enough to enjoy in this amazing space. I do like the little kids charcuterie plate though. If kids aren't your jam, the seating on the other side of the space is plenty far away and separated. The location is wonderful and outside seating is appreciated. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm so glad this business exists!

Brought some chips & dip and some birthday carrot cake and had a great time with friends. It's a solid facility with two great simulators plus a couple other games like foosball and pool. Great selection at the bar, and the drinks are super affordable - with $150 in golf costs (it's only $50/hr for the sim rental) our tab was $210 with like 8 drinks on it. In Denver that's unheard of. Very reasonably priced! The sims have a solid selection of courses, and you can play full 18s, just 9s, or do games. And it's incredibly accurate because I complain just as much as I do on a real golf course about being perfect on the range and then being hot garbage once we get on the course! I don't remember the name of the bartender, which sucks, because she was absolutely fantastic. She was SUPER fast and helpful, incredibly attentive. Washed the cake knife, kept drinks flowing, was great to chat with - she was just really great and very helpful. It was my 2nd trip ever and I had a fabulous time.
