I was served by a newer employee, Calem N. He was pleasant. I got the Rosita, a cocktail with Reposado Tequila, Campari, dry & sweet vermouth. An explanation on the menu said the drink was created in the 1970's. This cocktail was served in a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Strong but not over the top. After awhile, I got their version of a Ginger Beer. It was made with ginger extract, not ginger syrup since it was not sweet. In many ways, it was like an amaro. They do not play music, but the wood accents inside softened others talking. No service charge. Restrooms are up a short flight of steps.

Right now, happy hour shows as all-day Tuesdays, Wed - Thurs 5-7pm, Fri & Sat 4-6pm. You can expect a few bucks off drinks and some discounted food snacks. Most tiki drinks are way too sweet for my palate, but there's always something I can find to try and I'm always sure to check with the bartender on sweetness levels. I've always enjoyed my visit here at Adrift.

At the time they said it's something they're doing in partnership with the Denver Public Library (DPL) every other month on a Tuesday night. We saw an osbcure, older blaxploitation superhero film that was funny at times! Probably not intentionally, or was it? I have no idea! They DPL even had a card maker for you to get a new library card! And told me about Kanopy, an app I can sign up for with DPL and watch free movies at home! They also had some free magnets of the movie, which was pretty cool. The bar had a video game in there and I think they may have music sometimes, too. Unfortunately, our last visit was ruined by a completely dismissed customer service issue. It was deeply disappointing to sit next to a table where we had to listen to 30 minutes of verbal elder abuse. An older woman was relentlessly berating her elderly mother. She kept calling her "mom" while yelling at her. It was super uncomfortable to sit through. Honestly, my 14-month-old was acting more mature than our neighbor. When we politely mentioned it to our server, she just shrugged it off and said, "Well, what do you want me to do? I think she's hard of hearing." A simple apology for the situation or an offer to move us would have gone a long way, but instead, we just felt brushed off. Incredible food, but a really disappointing lack of basic hospitality on this trip.
