Embassy is a great bar to grab some drinks at in the popular rino area. It is a bit further north than where most of the other bars are located but it is worth checking out for sure. They have trivia on Tuesdays and karaoke on Saturdays. I've never been to trivia here but karaoke nights get absolutely packed. It's a great time but expect to be rubbing shoulders with others. The drinks are reasonably priced and if you go any time besides Friday and Saturday nights it's typically pretty chill. Fridays and Saturdays are packed but the bartenders do a good job of serving patrons in a timely manner. The lounge area is nice with comfy seating and the back patio is nice to chill and have conversation. During summers, it can have a pretty bad smell because of the food waste I'm assuming but I never thought it was that bad. read more

While I was waiting outside for a ride, another patron became aggressive toward me and had to be restrained by others. During the confusion, another bystander physically pushed me away from the entrance and toward the street. I pushed her back, she fell, and the situation escalated. Staff did not ask for my account of what happened and physically ushered me away, during which I sustained minor abrasions. I contacted Embassy Tavern privately through Facebook Messenger and email before posting any public reviews because I wanted to understand whether the incident had been reviewed and whether I was welcome to return. I received no response. After staying away for about two months, I returned, spent roughly two hours there without incident, and was then asked to leave anyway. I made a good-faith effort to resolve this privately before writing this review. The lack of any meaningful communication is why I'm leaving one star. P.S., You might consider putting another camera on the northern side of the building. Appears you have a blind spot. read more

A fun and unpretentious bar in Rino. It was super easy to find a table and had a bit of a dive bar feel. Lots of drink options, and it was a great spot to hang out and spend time prior to a dinner reservation. I will definitely be back! read more

Visited the Embassy Tavern for the very first time yesterday early evening about 5:00 PM. Was not very busy. maybe about 7 customers in the tavern and the bartender. Found a table, got water, reviewed the drink menu and went to the bar to order some drinks. The bartender was chatting with a couple seated at the bar. We were about five feet away and no one else around us - hard not to see us standing there. At no time did the bartender look our way or acknowledge our existence. Eventually we gathered our coats and headed to the door. Only at that time did she talk to us and wish us a good evening. She and the tavern must do pretty well to not want our business! This is the dive-iest bar I've been to in awhile, and I LOVED it. Came here with some friends on a random Wednesday night after working out down the street. Ordered a shot-beer combo at the bar. Weirdly my first time having a Tuck. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is lively. Love the neon vibes and will definitely be back again. weird vibes from the bartenders..... went on weekend with some friends around 10pm, ordered a beer.... the bartenders kept staring at my friends and i at our table, and clearly conversing. we ignored it. two hours later i go to get a second drink. meanwhile my friends have had well over 3+ drinks. the bartender refuses to serve me a seltzer and tells me i can drink water... she also wouldn't even sell me a bag of chips. i had one drink the whole time..... and the bartender refused to serve me... felt personal since the chips are non alcoholic and if she really thought i was intoxicated then you would think she'd want me to eat chips... talk about a mood killer. definitely won't be recommending this place anymore. read more

Bars are bars. Why do you go to a bar? Personally, I go to unwind from whatever shit I've been handed throughout the day/week. I seek out a pleasant human interaction involving another human being accompanied by an adult beverage. The Embassy is a haven amongst rapidly growing Denver. While I don't mean that sentence to deter tourists or prevent new residents from visiting, I do hope that it encourages people to treat it with respect. Upon first visit at The Embassy, I was treated with extremely great service and conversation. I have witnessed the growth of the bar in its short existence. Every single staff member has greeted me promptly and courteously! I simply have to say that if you encounter any problem I might suggest you look internally. I never knew a single staff member of The Embassy prior to my first visit but if you allow yourself to be a decent human being, you might be fortunate enough to call them family. read more

Stopped in and had a few drinks for an hour while we were waiting for our table at a restaurant across the street. Drinks were well made and priced lower than expected. The vibe was cool and the bartender was friendly. This is a very accepting place of everyone- anyone is welcomed and I loved the bathroom signs. I did have to dinga star because of the sound. So many establishments don't understand the importance of good sound and the effects of listener fatigue. The jukebox was playing through a cheap pair of speakers and the songs were unrecognizable where we sat, we just experienced waves of 250 to 600Hz energy. I love a good dive bar and this certainly embodies that. It's located in a very trendy area but I think this is the hidden gem. It has a very warm atmosphere and non-Covid times plenty of diverse seating options. The staff have always been friendly and I've certainly enjoyed being able to relax here. I personally feel they've handled Covid very well. They very much so employ the mask policy and social distance the tables. Despite having to deal with these precautions, the atmosphere here remains warm and friendly. It has that rare ability to make us feel like we're still together even while we're socially distance apart. Prices are pretty standard and the drinks are usually strong (always a bonus). Parking can be a little tricky because it is on a main street. Make sure you watch for those parking signs because They can be sneaky. read more

Had the saddest nachos ever counted 9 chips ..asked for no guacamole or sour cream and a side of green Chile just was brought chips covered with a little pico. Look, I generally like the places that this group puts together, Horseshoe, Inga's, Bar Car, Crow Bar, (the Owl, eh). Nice themes, relatively inexpensive drinks, and USUALLY good people. I'm not a novice, and I loved and miss Phil's. I've seen a lot of places come and go. However, when I sit down at a bar, especially a newer bar trying to build clientele, I really expect a bit more from a bartender. It doesn't look like any of the other bartenders here have a problem with actually providing a beer list, making eye contact, and taking an order, but to the hippy chick who gives immediate attitude to anyone she doesn't know (if she approaches them at all - and I watched her ignore more than one customer), who would really prefer to talk to her friends about string cheese shows and buying pot, be on her phone, and do shots, you are definitely on the wrong side of the bar. I don't like leaving critical reviews like this, but a bad representative in this business loses you customers. You can do better. read more

So, firstly I am not some drunk b**** complaining; however, I had the worst experience ever. The bar is cool, AF. dope vibes, nice layout. Sure, they were semi-busy on a Saturday night, but they had 3 people working: a white guy w a deep voice, a different women (really kind and apologetic), and Katie, the problem. All we ordered (after waiting 30 minutes on the patio) was a Coors Light bottle and a Coors Banquet glass. I gave Katie my credit card and we never saw her again. So we need to leave, go to the bar and she says she has never seen us and never took my card. Also, we watched her pass a "baggy" to her coworker. They were all add Fd up on the job, and no judgement because I was a bartender once. She literally swore she never had the card, so the women who seemed to be in charge said I could go through the trash. Katie kicked us out after physically threatening me. I look at my credit card statement and she did indeed charge us. So we call again and they said they didn't have it. Katie calls us 2 hours later and says we "left it on the table and didn't leave a tip and never signed the paper. " Come on... maybe if you weren't Fd up on the job this whole issue could have been prevented. Honestly, the blatant lies were what drove me to such anger. Mistakes happen, but this was not that.
