Aggressive bartender followed me around and yelled in my face for accidentally going into the wrong bathroom. He really flew off the handle when I told him that I assumed they were all-gender restrooms, so I assume that he's not cool with the idea based on how angry he got at that particular point in the conversation. I see a lot of reviews regarding poor behavior by staff, including ableism and racism, so add my experience to the list. Look. I only do two score 1 or 5. 5 I will be back and 1, I will not. Larimer lounge is where the boys go when they're having a big night and trying to pick up chicks, and sadly, girls do the same. This place is a comedy show. House is mid at best. It's a dive bar with a DJ stage and lights. Just scope the squads of dudes that roll into here and try n pick up girls. Boys, these aren't the ones. If ur trying to pick up girls at larimer, you're nasty. read more

Between their cocktails and beer, definitely the quality I was looking for but not the price. We came for the concert and as a small venue, it fit exactly what I was hoping for. Definitely bring earplugs for the concerts though. Their environment was pleasantly matching the mood the music brought in. I would highly recommend the place and for you to get only 1 drink, maybe the dark n stormy since their ginger beer was by far my favorite. read more

This bar has shows! I haven't been able to see proper live music in so long! We decided to grab a drink here as we were on a waitlist for dinner somewhere else nearby bit after seeing that a show was going to be on we ended up coming back afterwards. The bar is small and they are limiting capacity due to covid which is always great to see but does mean you'd have to grab your tickets early. I do wish the drinks were a little cheaper. It would definitely encourage me to come back more often but taking it from a business owner perspective, you can only have so many people in at a time so it makes sense. I had to do a double take on my cheque when closing out the tab as it said $40 after only having 4 Coors Lights. They were happy to fix it up afterwards. A bit worrying, if I had drunk too much I would've paid regardless. It would be nice if the items purchased were on the receipt. read more

Great place to catch a show and have a few beers. The place is old and funky with a lot of character and the band we saw was local called FUZZFACE. Very entertaining and fun. I loved that in the front seating area there is a large screen, so if you get tired of standing, you can sit and watch the show. We enjoyed our evening there. read more

This is the most underrated venue ever. We have been loving coming here lately because of the unique and talented bands that come through, and the service is amazing. I believe there is no food, but honestly who wants to eat at a show, lol. read more

Great place to see a smaller artist! Downside is that if you are shorter you won't be able to see as the floor is flat and the stage isn't very high. I'd recommend getting there early or standing against the walls! read more

A historic venue with a bar first and then a stage at the backroom setup, creating a perfect vibe that they can isolate if needed. The staff is fantastic, and their manager, Tommy, is top-notch in the business. The sound system is excellent, and their talent bookings are always diverse. I had a first hand lesson on why people call Denver, Menver. The place has a good offering to make yourself at home; outdoor patio, stage room, and classic bar front. Hard to believe that I had never been here until very recently. Electric 6 was playing and definitely wanted to see them perform. They had a decent selection of beer and were able to make quite a few cocktails as well. Prices were standard for this type of business. The stage area is pretty basic, with their basically just being a flat floor for concert goers. So, you really want to get as close as you can. The sound was excellent. Honestly I've heard worse sound at much fancier venues. The staff seem to be hard-working. I would definitely come here again for a show. read more

Probably the rudest service and worst drinks I've ever had at any bar ever. The hostess was snappy and had attitude the minute we arrived, and super sarcastic for no reason, I had to point out an available table after she told us there was no space for us, our drinks took forever to come out, and they were watered down and barely had any alcohol in them. Everyone in my group ordered something different and they all tasted exactly the same, like lemony water. Not to mention they were $9 and up each. The most disappointing show I've ever been to, no hate, just wish they informed people of their set times, especially people who have bought tickets. I was very confused why I paid for a ticket to see someone recently, when I showed up my ticket didn't even matter (the guy at the door was just checking IDs) and the person I was hoping to see had already played as well as his opener less than an hour and half after it said the show started on my ticket. I've been to soo many shows and not once have I missed who I paid money to see. E-tix even had a different start time than the venue posted on their website/socials and the website comes with no information about this weird set time set up at all. I know I wasn't the only one who missed seeing who we thought was the main act for the night. When I talked to the artist I had paid to see, he was also confused why their times were set up this way. If you ever buy tickets for this place just know that if you show up a little later, like one usually does at a concert, you'll likely miss the entire show and end up watching frat guys attempt to mix house music instead. If the way you're set times are set up is completely different than every other venue in Denver I feel like people would like to know that so they can prepare so show up on time and not waste their money. I stopped by with some friends when they were having a bingo night outside. The bingo host was doing his best to be offensive with the number jokes, but did not seem to amuse anyone but himself. When i went inside to get a drink, i asked the bartender what the rotating drafts were. He said "beer list is on the wall" and walked away to try and serve the one other person at the bar. Then a fight broke out during bingo. So, i left without spending any money here and went to Denver central market for a better night. Overall, a terrible experience. With so many options in the area, i would never choose to come back. read more

After meeting a local at a local brewery he informed of a show taking place here and invited me out. I think the show was Ekali/Medasin/Judge. To be honest I was in such a great headspace from all the beer I consumed over the span of 12 hours, that I could care less. When you enter the lounge they have a bar to the left, a staircase leading to the lounge, deeper in lies the music venue spot with a smaller bar attached to it, an enormous patio (despite the cold was open), and some secret room the artists chill in. Which isn't much of a secret anymore seeing as I got to hangout with them in. One odd entity (TV) on the the wall shows the dance floor in some thermal night vision perspective. I thought it was unusually weird to offer that considering people could just get down and dirty with the crowd if they wanted to but once I entered the abyss I'm surprised you can even find one another. It's that dark. Definitely and amazing show of unknown artists to me and one hell of a crowd to party with. read more

She came up to us (2 hours after we have been sitting and drinking and hanging the 3 of us) she was so frantic about the fact we were sitting at a table and DIDNT SEE HER? ma'am, you weren't even working when we arrive so please chilll wow. We were at a table for 8 and she jerked chairs away super embarrassingly and bizarre when our friends showed up hours later to join us. Very un host like and we don't think we will be back. I paid a cover to get in, and they gave me a stamp, then once I was in, they tried to tell me I needed a wrist band. Some asshole kicked me out saying I didn't have a wrist band. Then what the hell did I pay a cover to get get in and get a stamp then. There were plenty of people along past that they didn't even check. Just some asshole on a power trip telling me I needed a wrist band even though I paid to get in. Terrible service. Staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have a good music calendar. However, some of the female bartenders are extremely rude and bitchy most of the time and don't even smile. Also there is no bathroom downstairs so have to walk up a huge flight of stairs just to use the bathroom, which is also pretty dirty. The sound is a little loud but at least you can hear pretty good from upstairs and also the bar room. The TVs of the stage are a good addition. read more

This place is for smaller bands or for more intimate settings. Decent acoustics and ambiance...more punk centered. The two problems I have here is the bar service and the face they only take cash to see the bands. I've been here a few times and there's always been same bartender woman there and she always seems to service ppl she knows ASAP and makes others wait even though I'm pretty sure we made eye contact before taking other ppls order who showed up after me. I get the whole cash thing but not many ppl carry cash nowadays and don't want to pay a $6 atm fee to get cash for a $10 cover! read more
