Being a professional Blade cosplayer i couldn't pass this opportunity up. I Had a great time with the bloodsuckers here at the Blade Rave tonight. Me and the vampires called a truce for tonight and danced our a$$3$ off. I've not danced so much and didn't even get winded nor did my back ache as the DJs music was well mixed. Not what I was expecting. Very impressive. I did have a rough start initially. Security wouldn't let me bring in my very fake weapons but yet one can wear spiked clothing such as necklaces, bracelets etc.... Far more dangerous than a 3d stake , glaive and foam sword. But the vampires made up for it. After I was told i couldn't bring them in while standing in a line around that lapped around the building I was offered a chance to take them back to the car. I told her i wasn't walking 5 blocks back and forth and also losing my spot in line. I politely asked is there anywhere that's posted we aren't able to bring them in and she said a sign by the front door and she wasn't aware if it's online. Now mind you if in fact it's not online for prior notice, having signs at the front door while your patrons have been waiting in line and can't see the sign by the front doors. read more

I'd like to preface this review with some positive feedback. I have had some amazing times at this venue, great shows and great connections have been made here. This particular situation I'm hoping won't be common in the future. I paid for 2 tickets and 2 VIP meet and greet passes, my friend couldn't make it so I had extra of both. I was under the impression that I could run my signed items and merchandise to the car or home within reason, so it wouldn't be damaged or lost. The door girl overhead me telling my friend this and immediately told me that I wouldn't be granted re-entry under any circumstances. I said my place is close and I need to take my dog out because I worked all day. There was no grace given and honestly I was met with more hostility and aggression than I think the situation called for. I said I had an additional ticket that was paid for if I needed a whole separate re-entry, and she said people try this all of the time and ill remember you if you try to pull that...ok. I decided to put my merch and signed poster in my friend's car, out of fear of missing one of my favorite bands. I came to the door for re-entry and she wanted to know where and why I wasn't wearing my lanyard, I just put it my purse so it wont get pulled off later in the pit or crowd. I asked if I did something wrong and she scowled at me and never answered that very simple and direct question. I was honestly trying my best to comply with her guidelines. My dog wasn't able to go out for hours and all I felt was guilt. Mind you this was over an hour before the first band started. My question is "who hurt this girl?" I have never had such a hostile, frankly rude, and disrespectful experience at a venue I paid minimum $300 to see a show at. Maybe shes trying to exert her dominance over women at death metal shows, beats me. Im hoping the tangley haired girl at the VIP line fed her need for power and grandiosity, by making me scramble to place my expensive items somewhere safe and making my dog hold her bowels, so she could have a bit of power over another human being. I know the world is all about money, not people and that is so unfortunate. This will fall on deaf ears, but I'd strongly consider spending your hard earn money on VIP status if you are met with a snarky gen Z on a power trip, I know I wont make that mistake again! read more

Regularly oversells shows to the point of being a legitimate fire hazard. Everything from tickets to drinks are way overpriced. Only upside is the pizza which is impossible to access half of the time and good sound. Livenation RUINED this venue, was a much better experience when SodaJerk ran this venue because they cared more about the experience than money read more

First time to this venue last night, and I really liked it. All staff...outside, inside, at the bars, etc., were friendly and helpful. It's small and intimate. Great place to see a show. Bathrooms were fine, and having a water filler near one was a nice way to save at least a bit of money. Compared to some of the other venues downtown, I thought this was a great place. Sight-lines upstairs were nice. Definitely worth paying a bit more for a reserved seat. read more

The Summit Music Hall is a pretty fab place! Came here for the Accept/Queensrÿche show and even though I paid for a Fast Pass, I didn't really need it. Both lines moved quickly. There were two employees checking IDs, one searching bags, two more (one male and one female) with security wands, and one last person helping to check tickets. Everything ran smooth and I was ready to rock in under three minutes. Once inside, I was able to get right to the bar for a drink and then I hopped in line for merch. Funny enough, the merch line, which is in the back of the venue, had probably the best view of the stage. The sound quality is excellent no matter where you stand. I did make my way upfront during the band changeovers. Visibility was a little more of a challenge, where I had to "prairie dog" to see the band, but the sound and energy was worth it. Bring earplugs because a day later, my ears are still a bit foggy. The balcony is reserved seating and the staff does keep it controlled. There's also a bar upstairs, so if you prefer seats with a guaranteed view, buy your tickets early because those sell out fast. One recommendation I have is that when buying the concert ticket on TM, to skip the prepay for parking. TM website lists it as Parkwhiz but good luck trying to figure out which lot/garage to use. I never was emailed the QR code (likely just a hiccup) and the TM website never loaded it (the cost was $15). I ended up at the LAZ parking garage at Wazee and only paid $10 (likely since there was no big event @ Coors). The Summit does have a food stand for those craving a pizza slice but save yourself and go to Sliceworks just up the block. read more

I love summit music hall. I always have a fun experience here. This time was no different as we saw Bone Thugs N Harmony here. The place was packed but we still managed to be able to see pretty well. The people here working are friendly and helpful! We didn't get any drinks this time but when we do it's actually pretty decent pricing for it and they do food here too if u get that growl in the belly especially since there's usually no re entry for here so it's always nice to know that there is food and decent bathrooms too and a place to get water when you are at a venue for a long period of time. This is also such a great spot since it's near so many other cool places too. Highly recommend as always ! read more

I bought the fast lane ticket and got here at 3:45 for the Sevendust concert. When they started letting us in, the people at the front of GA were getting in faster than even VIP. Had I not upgraded to fast lane, I would have been on the rail. Until they do something about fast lane, it is a ripoff if you are here 2 hours before doors. Great sound quality to feel inside the show - you can see some amazing people live and up close! The lighting here is also great. I was surprised to see they even sell food here and for a decent price! I think that is something more places should do especially when you serve so much alcohol. It was also pretty easy getting inside the venue not a long wait and there were a lot of people working outside and inside to get everyone in quickly and easily while still making sure everyone was safe. Nice venue located near Coors Field in downtown. Parking might take some planning, look around for meters or you can find a paid parking lot. What I liked most about this venue is that you can get a decent view from almost anywhere. There is a blind spot if you are standing near the far left of the stage. The check in process is straightforward. If arriving early, there is usually a line wrapped around the building. You must show your ID. I was a bit disappointed with security because they just let a woman without any ID or badge into the venue. The security guard first asked the women for her ticket, then the women said that she works there but forgot her badge. The security guard said okay, and just let that woman go inside. One of the highlights there is the $5 pizza. It tasted delicious and it's a decent size per slice. They offer coat check too for $5. read more

Absolutely amazing Venue! Came here to see Magnolia Park and we're not disappointed! It was easy getting in, the line went by quickly and no crowds blocking the door. They have many bars so no wait getting a drink, kinda pricey but that's Denver for you. We had no idea that they had food but we're so glad they did! We got the slice of pepperoni pizza with ranch and it was honestly delicious, a good price and fast! We were able to enjoy a pizza and drink while waiting for the show to start. Even the band was watching pizza and interacting with fans, very cool! You can easily see the stage from anywhere and the sound was good. One of the openers it sounded like they turned the music up too loud, was piercing our ear drums but when the main act came on it was fine again and sounded perfect. Great venue! It's spacious so it can fill up pretty fast but it's still small enough for an intimate setting. Caught my first show their a few nights ago. The staff was super friendly! They even have a small window where they sling pizza by the slice! The pizza was actually really good!! Large slices, thin and crispy crust. It was perfect for a late night outing because it wasn't heavy. I really like the set up here because you can see the stage well from anywhere. I saw one concert at Summit on a snowy winter night. It's in the heart of the action, so you'll have to park in city lots or garages which can be pricey depending on how much is going on in the area. It's a fairly small venue with one main island-like bar right when you enter and the sound crew in the middle. Getting close to the stage is pretty easy if that's your thing. Decent selection of drinks, didn't take too long to flag a bartender, and standard concert pricing. Sound quality was a bit uneven, with some bands sounding clear and others blowing out the speakers, and not in a cool heavy metal way. Not a bad venue by any means, but mostly forgettable. Surrounded by plenty of other bars to keep the night going after the show ends. read more

This venue is right in the heart of Downtown Denver. My tickets were purchased online . Parking around here will be in the city's surrounding pay lots that run $17 during the day or $6 after evening hours. You can try to find metered street parking. A lined formed outside the building , the organizers were very nice and checked my ID along with my current photo of full vaccination ( or you could show recent negative covid test) they gave me a wrist band . Security wand check was very professional and they scanned my phone QR for online tickets. Big long bar , and they served the basics , tap and can beer, can hard seltzers , well drinks, water ,soda , Gatorade. They sold slices of pizza too in a smaller different area. Everything was well organized and everybody was professional and kind. Best show service I've experienced. I saw The SCORE . They were great. These guys have been my go to hype music band after I had a hard long time in my life . A while ago I donated my kidney to a person and not too long after trying to help save a life my fathers life was cut short and he passed away ( not the recipient, different thing) and while trying to recover from that situation, I was having a hard time wondering why after giving life with that donation that the universe would throw such major curveballs, it was a snowball effect of unfortunate events. Then I found THE SCORE's music and it helped me come back in a such a major way! It helped me with so many things. I always have them on my playlist when I work out , when I feel like things may be getting complicated and I need to make my self move forward and do bigger and better things in life. Came here for an Emo Nite event, which was fun! Easy to get into the venue with its ticket and vax card checks. Spaces are pretty narrow for THAT many people to move around. I came here for the first time for the Chris Lane concert. I heard it was a sold out show but had never been to the venue before so I came right around when you'd expect the opener to be starting. In my experience with smaller venues, there's maybe a small line around the time the doors open but the crowd usually thins out about a half hour after. Let me tell you about the line that I stood in. It was BY FAR the longest line I have EVER seen in my life. This line went down and around the block and then looped like a goddamn Six Flags amusement park ride. Here's a solution, get more employees to work the door. Seems like a real simple solution. Of course the opener started while we were in line, and so did the second opener. No worries, don't wait for your guests who've been waiting in the cold for over 30 minutes. The only reason this place got stars was that the bartenders were nice. Drinks were moderately priced and the service was quick. read more

This is my second time attending this venue, and I continue to be disappointed. Neither I nor my friends received a positive experience here, as the doors opened an hour later than the email communicated. The bathroom was out of paper towels. The lady checking IDs outside to give wristbands threw each little piece of paper town off the wristbands onto the ground (that's hundreds of pieces of paper being littered), the water fountain was broken, and on top of all this, I saw a Summit worker placing the name of the band of the show I was attending on the Marquee at 2:30 in the afternoon the day of....this should have been done weeks in advance. This is a huge disservice to the band, who chose to perform at your venue, but also it's a business fail on Summit's end. I mean I was so mesmerized by this band that I didn't wanna leave until the show was done. Holy Holy is a supergroup which exists to perform the musical works of David Bowie. The group features drummer Woody Woodmansey, formerly of Bowie's backing band The Spiders from Mars and Tony Visconti, Bowie's long time producer and occasional bass player, as well as a number of other notable musicians. We were with a group that were long time David Bowie fans. I dragged a friend just because I wanted to do something new. Look at me now. A fan of both the venue and the holy holy band! The inside is a simple layout. This is Denver's "biggest" in the small venue category for watching live bands. First things first. If you're not a VIP ticket holder you will not be admitted in until the time indicated on your ticket. Otherwise I think you can go in half hour before. No excuses. Even for a potty break. When they let everybody in people scramble to plant their booty at the bar and stay there or grab the few tables around. There's also a few stools lining the front of the audio/video control area where we ended up not knowing what to do since it's our first time. It's basically on the general floor. So you will have people standing in front of you. Tall people, short people, people dancing and just everybody in general. But it worked for us. They sell food as well. It's pizza and the likes. This is my first time at this venue and overall it was a pleasant experience. We had purchased general admission tickets (our only option on the website) and knew that it would be standing room only. When we arrived we noticed that there was an upper level that had seats. One of our group members was handicapped and needed to sit throughout the show. The "ADA section" was full, so we inquired about sitting up there and ended up paying an additional $40 per person for that section. I understand this venue is trying to stay afloat but $40 is quite steep, in my opinion. That was disappointing for sure. Other than that it was a neat space. So I have to say that Summit Music Hall has to be one of my favorite places to catch a show. For starters the sound here is excellent! The venue is a mid size one; not super small and intimate, but not so large you feel disconnected from the band and the crowd. There is an upper balcony that is open sometimes depending on the size of crowd. There's a bar at the entrance that does tend to be a little pricey. But think about it; most alcoholic drinks are expensive at shows. It's just they way things work. To the left of the stage there's a little eatery that serves Marquis pizza. Most of the time your ticket has a coupon for $1 off your slice. Makes a great snack between bands. As everyone in the music scene knows, the crowd can really make or break the evening. I've been here for both 21+ and all ages shows. Never had a bad experience and can't wait for the next! :-) read more

Came here to see a show one night and it was fun. Great place for small concerts. I love the location of the venue, it's in ab area of Downtown that's full of art galleries, bars, and restaurants. The Denver Milk Market is a minute walk away. A lot to do while you wait for doors to open. I wasn't a big fan of my whisky sour. It tasted as if the drink wasn't mixed at all. In the beginning I tasted whisky only, in the end it was all sour. Never a mix just layers. They have some seating all the way in the back of the venue, which was fine. Came here to see Collective Soul and what a concert they put on. The venue is just so-so. It's the old Bash Nightclub and it still has the nightclub feel with a stage; it's not a venue like the Bluebird nor the Gothic. Even though the bar is huge and it's the first thing you see, it seems to be short on bartenders. It took my husband over 20 minutes to get our drinks. I understand that there are a plethoea of people, but you need to properly staff your bar. I get the bar's point of view that people with wait regardless, but it just adds to this venue being mediocre. There are very few seats and the rest is standing room only. As I previously stated, it is an old nightclub with a stage. There are a few seats on the first floor along the periphery, but the stairwells are so low that you can't see the stage. read more

Summit Music Hall is definitely one of my favorite venues. I've seen countless shows here and I am never disappointed. I love that the bar is in the back and the service has always been quick for me. The drinks aren't overpriced for being a concert which leaves my wallet happy. Most recently, I saw State Champs here. It is standing room only. The balcony isn't always open depending on the show and how many tickets are sold. I love the designated merch area. Really awesome. Also, if you are hungry they do have food. They serve Marquis pizza, for all you Marquis pizza lovers out there. They also have a variety of other items. What I love most about Summit is you can see the stage anywhere. There have been shows where I have just chilled near the bar and I was pleasantly surprised to still see the stage. So the bar area doubles as the Moon Room, so when the main room isn't open there is another stage. Seriously, Summit is by far one of my favorite places to see a show. Plus I can't complain, most of my favorite bands play Summit. So I've been here plenty to know that this venue rocks. There was even a point where I was here at least once a week just because of so many awesome bands! If you see your favorite band/artist come through Summit, you won't be disappointed. read more

I went to see the In Flames/HellYeah show last night and I couldn't have been more pleased. The drinks were reasonably priced and they didn't use the smallest plastic cups they could find to screw you out of a decent beer. The energy in this place was out of this world, everyone in the entire establishment was bobbing their head (I'd like to attribute at least a little of this to the venue, but I'm sure most of this is because of who they had playing). The only think I can't speak towards is the acoustics, metal has substantially different requirements than other types of music. That being said, it wouldn't take me much to find another artist I'd go back for. read more
