Security was severely lacking, and the single "security guard" did little to make anyone feel safe. Mall cop presence... I sincerely hope they take security seriously before someone is seriously hurt here.

Asked for my mom's ID which was funny but she was very nice about it and made us laugh, accommodated us with a chair for her and made sure we were comfortable. Bathroom is sus but what do you expect, downside is parking can be tough, had to walk a few blocks. Would come here again!

It is unique in…read morethe sense that unlike The Bluebird, Summit, Marquis, Mission Ballroom, etc, that are all located in downtown Denver, Gothic is located in Englewood away from the crazy hustle and bustle. Parking still can be difficult unless you get there a bit early. The venue itself is pretty cool. It is on the smaller side and I will say that the few shows I have seen here were overly packed where it was difficult to enjoy the show. The sound is good for the size of the venue. Bartenders do a good job to get people their drinks and not have people waiting too long. The smoking area is a good size which is nice. A lot of venues have a tiny smoking area so everyone is shoulder to shoulder. I look forward to my next show at the Gothic Theatre that is hopefully not going to be overly packed.

I've read they renovated and remodeled over the years since it was built in the 1920s, but they kept the authentic vintage vibe that you must see to understand. So get here early because we didn't, and we were standing up there behind two beanpoles the entire time. People stick to their spots for sure. We didn't experience any service to be able to speak on it but I will hit the bar next time. Looked fun. I cannot wait to get back here and see another show.

Marquis is not big in the slightest, as it holds a few hundred people max. Sure, you'll be on top of one another here, and that's not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. I've seen 5 or 6 shows here over the past few years. They do a great job solidifying a diverse lineup of bands and artists. Just a few weeks ago, I saw one of my favorite bands, Baroness, for maybe the 6th time. They could've easily played a larger venue like Ogden or Gothic, but chose to play to a more intimate crowd. We thank you for that! The best part of the entire venue is how low the stage is and how close you can get to the bands or artists. I have some incredible footage being right next to the guitar players. It's so damn cool! Marquis is really the only major club of its kind in Denver. Things to note: it's cashless and there's no re-entry. Another cool thing is that they make pretty damn good pizza. YEP FTW? Get yourself a slice after the show if you have the patience. I'm glad Marquis exists, and I always get excited when I get to see a show here!

I'm a Colorado native who grew up at the Rose. I patronized the Rose for decades, without one…read morenegative experience there. However, more recently, I've had some pretty negative experiences there. The sad part about this review, is it's really only one person. The majority of the staff are kind, professional, and welcoming. However, the one toxic person has authority. His wife is the gm. Barry, the head of security, has no business being in that role. He lacksppp the character, the demeanor, and judgment. He clearly has zero professional training or experience in crowd management. He treats people with absolute disrespect, for no reason other than to pad his ego. I've spoken to multiple other security staff who are absolutely embarrassed by him. I've spoken to police officers working there, they've agreed with me, but it's a private business, and as long as he doesn't break the law, there's nothing they can do. Here's the interesting part, I've never once been in trouble there, because I treat people with love and respect. Additionally, I am a ret police officer, who has actual professional certifications, training, and experience . However still, Barry has been disrespectful to me for no reason at all. The security staff have apologized to me when he wasn't looking. The man is clearly a narcissistic egomaniac. He creates fights where there wasn't one to begin with. He treats your loyal customers poorly. Even his own staff and local law-enforcement doesn't respect him. Please Rose, stop with the nepotism and actually hire a professional who knows what they're doing. Sadly, I have to rate the Rose low. Seems unfair since the majority of staff are great. However, this one employee is so bad that it makes me never want to return to my home town honky tonk.. He is that bad of a human being.

There were no customers at the bar and the bartenders continued to have a conversation when I walked up to try and get a drink. The drinks are also very pricey. It was my first night in Denver, and I was waiting for a friend to fly in, so I went to the show solo. When I arrived, just before the opening band began, there was a short line outside. Security was quick and friendly. The place was absolutely huge, and sort of looked like an artsy warehouse. There was a large viewing area in front of the stage. I liked how open and unobstructed it was. Also, there was plenty of opportunity to see the stage even if you were not in the main floor viewing area, as the layout was so open. I waited in the swag line, which also went quickly. There was no line at the bar. My drink was less than $10! Honestly, prices like that are unheard of in most of the music venues I frequent... so I had another. The crowd was friendly and well-mannered, which probably can be attributed to both the venue and the band. I was able to walk up to the front of floor area and had a close-up view of the show. Reelworks is a great venue. I saw the publicity posters and it looked like they had a lot of great shows coming up. If I lived in Denver, I would probably be there all the time. All in all, it was a perfect venue for an amazing show!

I went here with my sister for the Jesse McCartney show! I was so excited that he was coming to Denver and I've never been to this auditorium. When you first walk in, it's just big and open like a dance floor. They do have a small food concession stand, but it's your basic concession food. They do have an upstairs with seating with tables, but you have to pay for that specific ticket. The rest is standing room only so like you're standing on the dance floor the whole time if you want to sit, I would definitely suggest purchasing a table. It is at one of the smaller venues, but I do like the open concept where there was plenty of space and all the angles were a good view. I would definitely go back to this auditorium. If another artist I liked was performing there.

There were two employees checking IDs, one searching bags, two more (one male and one female) with security wands, and one last person helping to check tickets. Everything ran smooth and I was ready to rock in under three minutes. Once inside, I was able to get right to the bar for a drink and then I hopped in line for merch. Funny enough, the merch line, which is in the back of the venue, had probably the best view of the stage. The sound quality is excellent no matter where you stand. I did make my way upfront during the band changeovers. Visibility was a little more of a challenge, where I had to "prairie dog" to see the band, but the sound and energy was worth it. Bring earplugs because a day later, my ears are still a bit foggy. The balcony is reserved seating and the staff does keep it controlled. There's also a bar upstairs, so if you prefer seats with a guaranteed view, buy your tickets early because those sell out fast. One recommendation I have is that when buying the concert ticket on TM, to skip the prepay for parking. TM website lists it as Parkwhiz but good luck trying to figure out which lot/garage to use. I never was emailed the QR code (likely just a hiccup) and the TM website never loaded it (the cost was $15). I ended up at the LAZ parking garage at Wazee and only paid $10 (likely since there was no big event @ Coors). The Summit does have a food stand for those craving a pizza slice but save yourself and go to Sliceworks just up the block.
