I've been on their email list for years. I saw an upcoming concert by the Louise Amend Quintet, a local band for an Ella Fitzgerald birthday show. It was easy to make a reservation for a bar seat thru Tock and only cost $38. I arrived at 815pm on a Sat for the 2nd set of evening at 9pm. They have a 2 bar areas facing the stage with room for 25+ people and a separate bar facing the bartenders. Also quite a few 2 person & 4 person tables plus a upstairs mezzanine area. No one had blocked views of the stage. I expected only drinks for my bar seat, but in fact the full regular menu and a snack menu was available. A good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Major selections of wines and champagnes. I got a Negroni with Boardwalk Frites. The Negroni was nice & strong. The Frites were well basted in cider vinegar and served with a malt aioli. The Louise Amend Quintet has Louise Amend as the singer, accompanied by her husband on the piano, drums, saxophonist and a bass player. They performed 10 songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington and Ray Charles. I gave a cash tip. I was served by Kinsey A. She kept checking on me throughout the evening, but wasn't pushy. I got a 2nd drink, the La Louisiane with $1 of the $16 charge benefiting the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts. A wonderful drink. The entrance & restrooms were handicap accessible.

Our Jazz & Supper experience at Nocturne was spectacular! This place is located in the fun & lively Denver RINO district. The art deco meets industrial decor was elegant & acoustically spot on. Doors opened promptly at 6pm on the Saturday night we were there. We were greeted immediately & shown to our table. Our table had a great view of the band. The band started playing at 6:30pm and continued until the set ended at 7:45pm. (There are two sets nightly, dinner is served only in the first set.) We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner & show. The space is small, with seating in the bar/ lounge area as well as upstairs. Service was friendly & very attentive. When making a reservation, (which is highly recommended), everything is prepaid including tip. The food was outstanding. We started with a yummy palate cleanser that was lump crab with roe on endive. We substituted our first course & ordered from the Sound Bites Menu. We each had the Bavarian Pretzel & Fonduta. The homemade pretzel was delicious & the Fonduta was great. For our entrees we had the Pan Seared Snapper which was perfectly cooked with puréed corn & mango salsa. This was a delightful dish. Dessert was a Passion Fruit Tart & Pumpkin Cake. The star was the tart, probably one of the best desserts I've had. These chefs really know how to make great food. Last but not least is the music. We saw the Ben Markley Band, superb musicians playing incredible jazz music. If you're looking for a special place that has delicious food, fantastic jazz & great service this is it!

Amazing! What a dinner and show. Good seating and service. I enjoyed my selections very much. The octopus was also a favorite

We'd heard about Nocturne Jazz Club a while back, and decided that next trip out to the area from our Portland OR home, we'd have dinner here. We made reservations about a month back for their "Ellington Experience", a five-course meal, with paired wines. Tonight was the night, so we arrived promptly at 6:00 and were immediately seated in beautiful couches just across the room from the stage (there are no "bad seats"---the farthest were only 25 feet from the stage). Tonight's meal started with King Salmon sashimi, served with honeydew, pickled strawberries, soy, chile and agua fresca with a little puffed rice for texture. One word: wow! This was one of the tastiest combinations of salmon, fruit and chile that I've personally experienced. We looked at each other and noted "this bodes well; if THIS is the food quality here, we're in for a real treat." Second course was a lovely lamb chop with tabbouleh and eggplant, little falafel balls. The lamb was perfectly cooked and very flavorful, with the tangy tabbouleh lending just the right brightness to the plate. We were momentarily whisked away to the Mediterranean. Guajillo-glazed pork belly was the third course. Jicama salad on the side had kumquats in it and that provided the perfect acidic complement to the fatty pork. My piece was almost all fat, while wife's was much leaner; slight inconsistency between plates here, but both were very tasty. For the fourth course, I had the Wagyu top sirloin, and she the pan-seared Mahi-Mahi. That sirloin was fantastic, a perfect mid-rare and the demiglaze and pea puree really made the plate. Mahi mahi was the only flaw of the night, coming out a bit over and slightly tough. Mahi, like Halibut, is one of those fishes that gets really chewy when over, and this one was about 90-seconds past perfect. The mango salsa and lemongrass crema did add a lot, and made it a still-delicious dish. Finale was a Matcha cake. Matcha (along with Pu-Erh) are pretty much the only teas we don't really appreciate, but dang this cake was excellent. We both ate every bite. Shout out to their pastry chef for making Matcha enjoyable to both of us; that's not an easy task and she nailed it here. Pairings were absolutely perfect. Their Sommelier (who is also the owner) made some outstanding pairings---every selection beautifully complemented the dish it was intended for. 3-ounce pours give each person 15 total ounces of wine across the 90-minute show, so I (the driver) found myself sipping about half of mine and pouring the rest into Wife N's glass (she was appreciative until the 4th glass, then casually mentioned to me that if I didn't stop, I'd be rolling her out of the place). I complied, and wound up leaving half a glass of the final two only out of fear of overnebriation. The band, a local jazz quintet, held down the evening with a swath of jazz hits from the '40s and '50s. The entertainment was fabulous and several band members stopped by our table to just shoot the breeze after the show. Patrons were encouraged to clap, hoot or whatever, anytime they heard something they liked. It was nice to have the interaction between band and audience. Helpful hint: bring some extra tip money for the band. Those guys worked hard for a 75-minute set and deserved every penny we could put in their tip jar. 100% fabulous and absolutely on our must-do-again list when we're back in Denver. Fabulous night!

What an amazing location. The ambiance is great with the industrial setting tastefully covered over with an excellent bar and restaurant with a portrait of a legend looking down on us. The staff are friendly, intelligent and professional and know how to get in and out to get things done. And then there's the food and drink. Their bartenders know their stuff whether it's one of their inventive cocktails or a classic it's going to be good. The food is also creative and unique, having lamb and duck for dinner is tricky but was divine. The dessert wasn't quite my cup of tea but it was among the most interesting I've ever had. The music is also good with great acoustics and a fantastic band whenever you show up. If you like creative dining and great jazz this is the place for you.

We made a reservation and paid for 2 ahead of time then anything we order when we got there was on a separate check. I was impressed with the diversity on their small menu and bold choices (duck, sashimi, swordfish) and knew that that would translate to them doing it well. I was proven correct - everything was absolutely delicious. I upgraded to a special - the steak. 10/10. The cocktails were strong and delightful. Every table was a good table, the live band was riveting, the place felt like another time, it was awesome. You are paying a pretty price though - a good $150+ per person once you add 2 cocktails. Shout out to Logan, the sweetest waiter who never steered me wrong.

Folks, I write few reviews, let alone giving a business five stars cause nothing is perfect. But the dining and music experience at Nocturne leaves me no choice. My wife and I had reservations for the 6:30pm show on 10/12/2025 that I originally almost cancelled because of the cost and the fact that we were already hemorrhaging cash on our trip to Denver. I'm SOOO glad I didn't as the evening was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I've traveled and dined at a lot of fine restaurants on this planet, eaten at fine restaurants in the NYC area where we live, as well as Michelin starred restaurants in NYC and the South of France. They've been great but I found the Nocturne experience to be above and beyond. Good music and great food come together here in a romantic atmosphere. The three course dinner promptly showed up at our table with the appetizer kicking things off along with the great jazz music for the evening. I had an oxtail polpetta appetizer that stunned me in its presentation not to mention its flavor. My main was a duck confit. The meat was tender; a juicy and generous leg and thigh portion with a crispy duck skin crumble. I took my time devouring this cause it was so damn delicious. Finally, my wife and I shared our desserts of a lime bar and a slice of pumpkin cake. (Hmmm...maybe that's why my belt feels tight this morning.) At the end of the meal and music, while I had been originally hesitant to go, I actually gave the band and the establishment an additional tip. There's an expression that "you get what you pay for." Nocturne delivers that in droves and frankly, I felt they deserved more than what I had originally spent. These are good people running a great business and in today's world, we need positive experiences. A return to this place next time I'm in Denver is a top priority. Do yourself a favor as you'll be glad you did.

Had a wonderful time here for a dinner and show! The band was amazing! The service was excellent! We came here to celebrate a birthday and anniversary! With the dinner and show it comes with a three course meal that you get to select the different options. Fall Pomegranate Salad was refreshing and delicious. Love all the ingredients in this salad. Prime New York Strip was good, but small. The duchess potatoes were delicious! Caramel Apple Cheesecake was my favorite dessert of all the ones we got! I would recommend coming here for a night out for celebrations or catching up!

This is such a great date night spot. The atmosphere is romantic and intimate. The music was so great too. My old fashion was decent (wish I asked for a big ice cub) but I ordered off the menu for a whiskey sour and it was probably one of the best whiskey sours I've ever had. We want to go back for the food and had a great time!

    Rachael P.

I don't say this ever. This was THE BEST dessert I have ever had, 10/10. The food was fantastic, waiting service was on-point, the jazz band was fun and interactive with the crowd, and overall the restaurant was just such a fun vibe. Definitely more for a date night spot where you KNOW the date, I would not recommend first date here as it is a little challenging to speak throughout the performance. However if you are there to go with your significant other, enjoy some great food, and sit back and listen to some good music, then you have come to the right place!

This place is awesome! Food is very, very good. Get the hot honey chicken thing. It's great. The atmosphere is nicely dark and shadowy. The band tonight was wonderful. Dress up a little bit to fit right in. Guys, wear a blazer and you're perfect. Service is spot on and wonderful. Cocktails are perfect. We really enjoyed our night here. I will recommend this place to friends from out of town.

I can take great pics! The band that was playing that night. Great side seats.

Coming out of a girls weekend in Denver I was amazed that I had not known or went to this place when I lived here. I will say the dating scene in Denver is very touch and go cause the clientele downtown where I lived were not of this caliber lol. Anywho... the vibe was cool and chic with a bit of a exclusivity moment. To be in an up and coming area, there wasn't a lot of different looking faces there to be honest so who knows what the true vibe is. Also I feel the entertainment that weekend was a local favorite or something, so the vibes would have been different with another band I am sure. They were giving 'big band' instead of 'jazz band' to me. We just ordered drinks and coffee since there was a two drink minimum I believe so that was not too hard for service to adhere to. I had wine and was pleasantly surprised at the selection- so that was good. It looked like there was a small staff due to the weather being bad when we were there. A couple of birthdays and one person thought it was a good idea to pop the question during the jazz set... which was very unimaginative IMO but hey this IS Denver. I did see others nibbling which leads me to believe the menu was relatively tasty. Overall a great place to be seen and take pics of, just not my type of jazzy vibe that I am used to.

Oh, Nocturne - be still my heart! Came here for a fancier date night with the hubs as we were feeling some yummy food in a cool setting while listening to smooth jazz. All boxes checked . And then some. The food was incredible. Every dish was clearly crafted with intention and delicious. Same goes for the cocktails. I was happy with everything set in front of me. Serving was timed well, too. Ambience was perfect. Not a bad table in the house for sound or viewing from what I could tell. We were lucky enough to be seated at a couch that was a cozy dream. Music was all local folx; a lot of talent packed on that stage! I was blown away with everything, from soup to nuts as they say. I was especially impressed with the staff and who I assume to be the front of house manager - she was everywhere doing all sorts of little things to help her staff out and it just felt like she truly cared for what she was doing. While not the cheapest outing, it was remarkable, entirely worth it and one I'm very much looking forward to repeating!

The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. We were only there for pre dinner drinks but we could smell the food arriving at the neighboring tables and were very tempted to canceling our diner reservation. Overall blew our expectations away and we cannot wait to return!

We went a few weeks ago for my birthday. The spot was definitely small. We had a reservation (which…read moreyou definitely need on like a weekend or busy time). A Wednesday 430pm - wasn't crowded. My husband told them it was my birthday before we arrived so they made me an ube martini. Purple and fantastic! I ordered the tiramisu, my husband got a classic espresso and my best friend got the Dubai chocolate. All of them were beautiful! I think my favorite was the Dubai chocolate. We also ordered appetizers of the burrata and the sweet potato croquette. Burrata is always fantastic! The croquettes were good. They were doing Star Wars themed drinks for May the 4th so Star Wars was playing in a screen (that you could barely see due to the sun). They both got the red velvet espresso martini topped with whipped coffee. It was cute but very sugary. Service was fantastic! The staff was so nice!! Maybe I'm just not used to inflation yet but the prices for everything just felt so expensive!!

Lincoln is hands down one of the coolest speakeasies we've been to. The vibe is so unique $5 bills…read morecovering the walls with Lincoln's face everywhere really sets the tone and makes the place unforgettable. And yes... every drink is only $5 but heads up, it's cash only. The prices were so good we ended up staying for three drinks each and didn't even feel guilty about it. My husband and our friends ordered The Continental, a black cherry Old Fashioned, and it was absolutely delicious ,smooth, balanced, and full of flavor (I definitely stole a few sips). I went with a vodka pineapple and later a cranberry vodka, both refreshing and perfect. We loved the place so much that the guys even bought merch $10 t-shirts, which honestly felt just as affordable as the drinks. Amazing drinks, unbeatable prices, fun speakeasy vibes, and great memories. We'll 100% be back.

I've been here twice now, and it's officially one of my favorite spots near Union Station. If…read moreyou're looking for a lively, affordable night out, this is it. Atmosphere: The theme here is so cool! It's all about Abraham Lincoln but with a modern, artistic twist. There's really neat artwork everywhere showing different looks of Lincoln. It feels like a true old timey speakeasy. It gets very busy after 8 PM, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but the energy inside is awesome. Price: This is the most budget-friendly spot I've found in the area. Almost everything is $5! It is CASH ONLY, but don't worry if you forget. They have an ATM inside for you to use. Drink: I ordered the Continental, which is their take on an Old Fashioned with a black cherry. It was delicious and definitely didn't taste like a cheap drink despite the price point. Service: Despite how packed it was, the service was incredibly fast. We got our drinks in maybe 2-3 minutes tops. The staff is efficient and friendly. Overall Experience: Whether you're visiting and staying near Union Station or just looking for a fun local getaway, I highly recommend this place. We walked from our hotel, but if you drive, be prepared to look for street parking or a garage. It's fun, cheap, and has great theme nights. I'll definitely be back!
