We love the Levitt Pavillon!! The amount of free shows every year with amazing talent is awesome but they also have some wonderful acts that you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for. The openness for sitting in the lawn is awesome and so child friendly. I don't have little kids but I definitely don't mind if children run around the lawn in the back as long as they're respectful. You can bring your own personal food in plastic containers and factory sealed, non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles to the shows. They also have food trucks so you won't have to starve at concerts. We bring our low camping loveseat and it's perfect for the lawn. You just have to take it and blankets out of their bags for inspection, which is no big deal. read more

This for this particular experience, this venue was okay. Parking is almost non existent. There's a street that runs through the park you can park in, but if you show up late you're screwed. We drove around for 10 minutes and ended up parking in a neighborhood about a half mile away. They had food trucks but we did not venture over that easy. We did order drinks though, the line moved fast. They had mostly canned drinks/cocktails which were pretty good. The venue itself was beautiful! Went for a free concert. I didn't know what to expect and it was great! It was a large grassy hill facing the stage. If you sit at the top of the hill the sound is a bit quiet, so if you'd like to hear the music I recommend sitting more halfway/closer to the stage. There are plenty of porta potties, alcoholic and NA drink options and a few food trucks. Highly suggest looking at their website to see what you can bring into the venue. You are allowed to bring in alcoholic beverages for the free concerts, food, etc. read more

This is a great outdoor venue near downtown! It is a smaller space but they do free concerts as well as ticketed concerts. I went for Yellowcard and experienced full blown nostalgia on this hill. There was plenty of space for people to be spread out. There are only a few food trucks available so the lines were kind of long. I do recommend eating beforehand. There was a good selection of alcohol. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are all to the left of the stage (if you are looking at the stage). So if you don't sit on that side, it takes a second to get there. Luckily, there are so many port-a-pottys that you will never wait too long. The parking situation looked questionable...I ubered. I would recommend ubering. Overall, I had a great experience here and would definitely come back! read more

They are not equipped to handle a concert. First let me say I loved the size of the place, seeing my favorite band that close up was worth it, but I won't go back. The bathrooms were the biggest issue. One women's bathroom with 4 stalls! After the first band finished the line, if you could find the line, was over an hour long. Just a mass group of women waiting in every direction. Yes they had Potts potty's but only about 5 and you had to basically leave the venue to find them. Also they only had 3 food trucks, good luck getting anything from those lines. We did VIP which gave you a seat, the seat is a cheap folding chair which they put so close together I was sitting on my daughter. read more

I just love outdoor venues like this. It's a fantastic environment to enjoy music. There is room to relax on the grass or dance by the stage. Denver Levitt features local and nationally known artist they have local food trucks, beer and alcohol for purchase, indoor restrooms, ADA accessibility and they are an all ages venue so families and children are welcome to attend. The centralized location makes it easy to utilize public transportation, it's accessible from the bike path and has free parking available in the surrounding park. I attended the annual free concert series that they are having through the rest of August and September. I think it's great to see venues giving back to the community and promoting a more inclusive music scene. read more

Got free tickets to come here for a concert. Parking is hard to get. We parked in the neighborhood not too far and walked to the venue. It was a nice walk. Definitely very hilly for those who do not like walking up hill. Great exercise though. Beautiful park and cute little venue here. Pretty cool to have something like this around the neighborhood. Weather was good. It didn't rain nor was the sun beating down. Be warned that the venue is very open and not much shade near it. There are trees but nothing close to it. They have food trucks there during the concert. We were allowed to bring our own food and bottle capped nonalcoholic beverages too. They had plenty of bathrooms set up for the concert. Denver's secret is out!!! I've been coming here since they opened. Left off of Sante Fe, pops up this little music venue nestled in between a city park. This cool little place is a great place to chill with ya crew or special someone & listen to live music. There are several entrances to relieve any long lines. Once you get inside, there is a huge lawn to just chill on & listen to music. To the right of the stage is a huge bar serving alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages of your choosing. There normally are really cool food trucks there also to soak up all the goodness. Evertime I've been here there are also a bunch of cool vendor booths to get anything from concert merchandise to holistic items, to massages. The staff all away around are great, friendly, and helpful in anything you need. Safety is also assured with security & on staff Denver DPD making sure everyone has a great & safe time. So if you are in the Mile High City, jump on line to Levitts Pavilion website and find a concert to chill & vibe at! The Levitt free shows are outstanding and a great service to our community. The venue is beautiful and the sound is impeccable. Unfortunately, Levitt's partnership with Live Nation means the paid ticket shows are less predictable. The sound and surroundings are still ideal, but Live Nation does what they always do--oversell tickets and skimp on security, other support staff and resources (aka restrooms). I also attended the same concert my fellow (presumably) Gen Xers are complaining about and had a fantastic time. Granted, I didn't pay for VIP and I'm a regular concert-goer, so understand that lines, parking hassles, and port-a-pottys are part of the deal. Sounds like maybe it's been a hot second since some of the attendees went to a show and were expecting a more pampered environment. But I'd take that up with Live Nation--they're the ones taking your money and not providing a more luxe experience. Levitt is a non-profit that essentially rents out their space to Live Nation so have very little (if any) control over ticket prices, overselling or poor communication. read more

Attended my first concert here a few days ago and was very impressed! Great facility-stage, sound, big video screen, nice bathrooms and entertainment I enjoyed. Good and drink available to purchase or you can bring a picnic (no alcohol or open beverage containers). The group I went to see does not have a huge following so it was easy to find parking within the park (even though there were many people there for sports and other activities...souped up trucks seemed to be popular) and there was no line to get in as I arrived early. I was concerned about the 95 degree heat at 4 pm but there is some shade provided by trees where most people were sitting until it cooled off. We've been here for several free concerts. It's a great chill venue Le to bring the family, a blanket and some eats. This is a huge natural Amphitheater with grass seating. The vast majority of the line up is free with some notables that filter through and require a paid ticket. Parking is available but for big name acts I would recommend that you come early or grab an Uber. It's a relaxed situation here. There are restrooms. Food trucks. A bar with two lines that were constant all night. Most importantly, access to a wide variety of quality musical talent. So many great shows that span the range of musical interests. I love the local acts. No booze or open containers allowed but feel free to bring your own food and sealed water bottles. Afternoon and evening weather is ALWAYS a crap shoot. Bring something in case of rain. There are probably 2,000 people here tonight and the only thing with a line is the bar. Oh yah, Kettle corn!!! It's so yummy and reasonably priced. read more

There's a lot to like about this place: spacious lawn venue, great use of an underutilized park, lots of free and low cost concerts, and a few interesting food trucks. You can bring your own seating and a picnic (but no drinks other than an empty water bottle). But it's a city park, don't come expecting a premier venue experience. I'm not a super audiophile, but the sound system seems only ok; maybe that's intentional considering the nearby residential areas. The beer choices are poor -- in Denver, if the best thing you offer is AB InBev's Breckenridge Brewery, that's pretty weak -- overpriced, and the lines are slow even at events that aren't too crowded. There's a video screen, but it's small, affixed to the side of the stage, and stays locked on a wide view, so there's really no point...other than to show ads before the show. Parking is kind of chaotic, but it's free and departure is surprisingly fast. read more

I had no idea this place existed. Parking was very easy, but I think that's because the pre-show rain really thinned it out. If be curious to see what it is like for a regular crowd. The venue is pretty cool. Definitely bring your own chairs unless you opt for the VIP seats. But there is a ton of space in the hill for guests to relax on and for kids to run around. The sound system was more than adequate to get clear sounds at least halfway up the hill and ok sounds as you move further up. read more

It's best if you Uber to the Levitt Pavilion My first and only experience I have had with this particular venue was to go see the Average White Band and Tower of Power. They like to move it, move it, we (Becky & I) like to move it, groove it. The first video and pictures are of the Tower of Power and the other ones are of the Average White Band. It turns out they have over 50 concerts a year most of them are free. It was a fun place to go. There were families, super fun for all ages, groups of people. You sit up on a hill so you can have a little blankets and lawn chairs and bring a picnic and listen to music. It was a hot day but once the sun started going down it became the perfect evening. I really can't remember the last time I saw either one of these bands but both of them had some of the original people, a little older than I remember. I think I must be in a time warp. I WOULD Definitely recommend it it was just a really fun thing to do. read more

As a first time attendee I was puzzled as to where entrance to the venue was, but after that wrinkle I thoroughly enjoyed it: a large bowl of green grass, the Colorado sky above, a place to dance, clean bathrooms, good food trucks, good sound system. Such an awesome community hub for music featuring local and national as well as international talent! I'm actually pretty surprised by some of the negative reviews. I live somewhat close by Levitt and attend shows once every couple of weeks. They host 50 free concerts a year, and about 30 or so paid shows. The free shows include some pretty amazing acts, some more popular ones like Devotchka and some acts that are super talented but are maybe starting out so they're not as well known. The venue is at Ruby Hill. You can take in food, sealed NA beverages, picnic blankets/lawn chairs, etc. Great for families! They do have food trucks there and also sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There's indoor bathrooms on the south side of the stage and tons of port-a-potties (which are kept pretty clean) on the north side. Parking is tricky for packed shows, but there's paid lots nearby if you can't snag a free spot inside the park. I absolutely love this place, and the free concerts have introduced me to some phenomenal emerging talent. read more

This is the most miserable place to enjoy a concert! Our night was ruinous. Long lines to get into the venue, which has a long list of seeming innocuous items that can't be brought in. Many people checking bags more than once, confiscating food and drink. Piles of chips, sandwiches, snacks all lined up next to the entry. And for what? So you can stand in line (your next line of three) so you can buy expensive food. I bought an $18 bowl of chicken curry. Tacos for $15. I was given a receipt and told to come back in 20 minutes when my food would be ready. Perfect amount of time to get in your third line for a drink. (Because why sell them all in one place?) This line was another 20 minutes where I ordered a beer. We initially arrived at 6:30, and by 7:40 we finally sat down to enjoy ourselves. This concert venue knows nothing about handling crowds, providing a positive experience or even understanding what is ok to bring into a venue. Do not go to Levitt Pavilion for concerts. FREE concerts this summer. Levitt sure knows how to make an impression on the music lovers in Denver. I attended Fleetmac Wood on Friday evening and it was a blast. Well-organized. Free parking. Clean bathrooms. Wine in a can for sale. Food trucks. It was the ideal concert setting. Though tickets were free with an RSVP in advance, I opted to upgrade to VIP for $30/person. That included early admission and a free adult beverage inside. Not a bad deal, especially with the upfront reserved section. After watching the documentary about Woodstock '99, it makes me appreciate when festival organizers keep the crowd safe and having fun. read more

Three for one deal! We were here the second day this place opened. We watched UB40, Matisyahu and Raging Fyah. This was a cool gig. All three were terrific! This venue could accommodate a total of 10,000. Folding chairs with numbers and letters pasted on the back and sides respectively that Corresponds to your ticket. Don't worry though there's help to guide you to your location if your internal GPS is out of whack. It's an open venue. A-la Red Rocks. But that's where the comparison ends. This location also accommodates lawn seating. Surrounded by a wire fence that people took advantage of and not pay. Yeah they took a few chairs of their own and watched the concert from the comfort of their unpaid location. Don't get any ideas. It's too far to enjoy. It's like listening to a loud live radio. But if it's your thing... We saw food trucks. More beer than food. No hotdog. Pizza made it in. What about hotdog next time huh? It rained. Of course no umbrella allowed. You're welcome to bring your raincoats. NO RE-ENTRY. So if you forgot the above you are truly screwed royally and you will be wet!! But- reason out with the guardians of the gate. Good luck! You will know if you can talk the talk or take some class in "How To Get What You Want". Or The art of Convincing people. :) Parking. There's one choice lot for most. They're pretty close but small and a 10 minute uphill walk on the way back. It's a beautiful walk. C'mon! Must use those leg muscles sometime! The usual checking of purses and issuance of wristband. It doesn't take long. Acoustics. What's wrong with you? It's live and it's fun! There you go!:) it's good. Will Call. It's a tent still or will remain a tent? But for now it's a tent! Right by the entrance where security starts. There is no bad seat in this location. So don't go bananas if your date can't afford a front seat. It's still good. This venue leaves much to be desired. First, no one I knew had ever even heard of it, so when I bought third row center tickets, I had no idea that I'd be sitting in a poorly set up venue. I spent close to $300 to see two of my favorite bands up close, but found out that I could have spent nothing, and stood along the makeshift fencing that surrounds the lawn (as a friend told me he did). I was very disappointed with this venue. The main bands couldn't even put their full stage setups, which I got to see at other stops on the tour. This venue is best for small/local events/bands but not a nationwide amphitheatre tour. I would not pay to come back to see a show here. It has a lot of potential, but unfortunately does not deliver. read more

We came here to see Monakr and Dessa play for free, and it was fantastic! Apparently they do 50 free shows every summer. We plan to attend another next week, plus they have festivals and other shows upcoming. The venue is huge, with a beautiful grassy Holland plenty of space to play Frisbee or let the kids run around in between sets. Breckenridge Brewery sold 24 oz heineken and dos Equis for $12, or bon and Viv selzer at 16 oz for the same price. There were some interesting food trucks and both port o potties and actual bathrooms. The water fountains were by the food trucks, although they were pretty busy.the VIP section looked pretty comfortabe for $30. This is quite the little gem for date night! read more

This venue rules. Killer free shows for the community in a beautiful outdoor setting. I decided to leave a review because I attended the same Tears for Fears concert that other reviewers are complaining about. Sounds like those folks are pretty spoiled, have never been to an outdoor concert before, and/or they weren't bright enough to a) look at a parking map or venue map before showing up, b) find the gigantic area with 40+ portable bathrooms on the other side of the stage, or c) find the second entrance that always has a much, much shorter line. Yes, it's a natural amphitheater so you might have to walk uphill to leave (just like Red Rocks). Yes, you have to arrive early to find good parking (just like any big event). Yes, outdoor venues rely on portable toilets. Yes, the drinks are expensive (it's a non-profit organization that hosts free concerts for the community--so those $13 tall-boy beers are one of their only sources of income). But none of those things are unique to Levitt. Allied Security could do a better job directing people--or providing enough staffing for bigger events--they do the same thing at other venues too. They're also notorious for hiring security staff with no experience or training. That's not Levitt's fault. And LiveNation sucks. Their ticket prices, surcharges, and complicated seating tiers are all designed to extract money from concert goers without any sympathy for your experience. That's also not Levitt's fault. Unfortunately, in the music world, venues can't avoid working with them if they want to book bigger musical acts. My advice? RSVP for one of their free shows. Check out a venue map and their rules BEFORE showing up. Arrive early, bring your own chairs, bring a picnic, bring your family, and enjoy a nice day outside. read more

I attended the concert at the Levitt Pavilion on the 23rd, featuring the Dead South. All was fine through two enjoyable opening acts (Tejon Street Corner Thieves, Lucero). Within a couple minutes of Dead South finally taking the stage, rain moved in. So I headed for our car for an umbrella for my wife, and a raincoat for me. Nope. Access denied. With no previous notice I'd seen anywhere, I was told "no re-entry." Stay and get soaked (we're in our 70s, so not a great idea), or forfeit the rest of the evening and leave. To try to stay healthy, we left, but this is an unreasonable policy, unfeelingly administered, with an "Enjoy the rest of your night!" I'm very disappointed in the Levitt Pavilion's management. read more

This is a new, wonderful public venue. The free concert lineup is great. We showed up despite the threat of rain and took a chance on two Colorado acts that we'd never heard before. It was a fantastic show. Parking was easy. We brought blankets and bought some food from the truck that was there. I love that it is kid-friendly. There was an activity area set up for kids by a local business. The performers kept it family friendly. It was heartwarming to see rappers handing out paletas to the kids! Before the event was over, we'd already looked at the schedule and put a few more shows on our calendar. Can't wait to go back. read more

Did you know you can see fifty - that's five zero - live musical performances for FREE - that's zero dollars - at this urban outdoor venue where you can roll down grassy hills before snacking on a homemade picnic or partaking in yummy food trucks? That's right! You can pay for VIP to sit in a blow-up sofa on a grassy hill (awkward) or a real sofa or bistro table (luxurious). They also have paid shows - good ones (in my opinion). All artists get paid whether it's a free show or not. Go early and enjoy the great outdoors. Bring the kids. There are a bunch of little humans running around dancing. Restrooms are pretty small, staff seems to be overwhelmed by the larger crowds, there are limited concessions, the reserved seating is plastic folding chairs on the grass, etc. One positive is that nearby parking is fairly easy to find and is free. read more

Parking is challenging for big concerts. We pre paid for parking for Tears for Fears. We waited 2 hours to park on Radio Hill and missed the opening band. Once inside the venue had to wait in yet another line to have a blue band put on our wrist to get into the seating area. No restrooms in the seating area. Restroom for port a pottie was around the hill. You have to walk 2 big hills to get back to the parking lot. You gotta be in shape to hike up to your car. Loved Tears for Fears. Hopefully next time they play a venue that can handle the crowd. read more

Opening night at Levitt Pavillion and it's a really nice vibe and huge open space. Kind of like Fiddlers Green but all lawn with a seated section of pull out chairs. There is a huge video tent blocking out the center view for the lawn. Parking is an issue, we has to park fairly far off of Florida. It was about a mile walk to the entrance. That could be managed better. The staff pouring drinks at the tent don't know the advertised drink names and like most events the drinks are very expensive. There are food trucks right as you enter that can cause a pile up of people. This will be a great venue space once a few small items are ironed out. read more

Saw Tears for Fears. Great concert and sound but the organization of the venue was a mess. Only real bathrooms have four stalls for the women so the line was ridiculous. Porta Potty line was huge too. Everyone had to be funneled through one entrance that initially had two people putting on bracelets. One of them didn't even know how to put the bracelet on. Probably will seriously consider not attending again if they can't figure out the logistics. read more

I have no idea what's going on with the people who say there are no bathrooms and nowhere to refill water. There are both, and they're super easy to find. I almost don't want to tell anybody, because A) if you're that unobservant, you deserve to go thirsty and pee-ful (not a word, don't care), and B) I didn't have to wait on line for either one, and if I tell you where they are, that might change for the worse. Okay, fine. I'm nice. They're both just to the right of the beer line to the right of the stage, in the "substantial building which certainly could have contained bathrooms" mentioned in another review. Spoiler alert: THEY DO CONTAIN BATHROOMS. Crazy, right? I love the free concert series here. Sure, maybe you haven't heard of every band on the schedule, but so what? It's free music! Go and expand your musical horizons. It's family-friendly, low key, and a super-fun way to spend an evening. Bring in a picnic dinner (no alcohol or glass or metal utensils), some chairs, balls or frisbees for the kids, and enjoy yourself. So you have to buy pricey beers (not too crazy though, $7 for a can of Great Divide, which is right on par for most venues)? Big deal! It's a free show. Let them make a profit so they can keep the shows free. And maybe kick them an extra $10 when they send around the donation plate...? I will agree that the VIP section with premium pricing is utterly ridiculous. It's this tiny little roped off area, and you only get two drink tickets for the extra $25 dollars it costs. You can get better seating and BUY two drinks (plus tip) for substantially less. I don't get it. Parking was easy on a free concert night; not sure how well it'd fare for a big-name act. It's pretty limited. All in all though, Levitt is bringing a much-needed event space to the area, and those FREE shows are really what make it magical. Keep it up! read more

What a gift for Denver. FREE shows, all summer long, from a wide variety of great bands, both local and touring?! This is a rarity that you won't find in most cities. Bring a blanket (or chairs) and chill, everyone is always so nice and grateful to be enjoying the lawn and some good music. This is my new favorite outdoor concert venue. It's easy to get to, the parking is also plentiful, the space is well-maintained, and the staff is the friendliest concert staff I've ever dealt with to date. We had reserved seats for the Fab Four and that worked out well. In the future I will gladly have lawn seats. The place is beautiful! We picnicked outside the venue prior to going inside but you're also able to bring food into the venue. The acoustics and the lighting were both high quality. We did purchase canned wine from the venue and it was fine (but chilled, not sure why). There were plenty of port-a-potties but some had locks on them. I'm not sure what that was all about but I was told by the staff that they were going to look into it. We do have plans to go back to the Levitt a few other times this summer.
