Great comedy club! Everyone on the staff was nice and welcoming. The fact they don't have a food or drink minimum is awesome, plus, you get free pizza, which makes it even better. It may not be gourmet, but it's all you can eat for free. Compared to the other clubs we've been to, the seats are more comfortable and not nearly as close together. Each seat has its own QR code on the table in front of them that takes you to a site to order drinks or food. The prices were fair, and it was nice to order and have them bring you your drink or food to your spot, then pay online when you're done ordering. Next time we're in Denver, we'll head back over there for another show. read more

Always a fun time here at Denver Comedy Underground! The people here are excellent and always helpful. They get great funny comedians here every time. I love that there is no 2 drink minimum - even though we often still get drinks and or food here ... and the prices are decent as well! I just like that it's not mandatory. Also the prices in general are a deal as well! Crystal and I have really enjoyed the last few shows here and can't wait to go to more in the near future! Had such an epic time over the weekend. This was my first time coming to this location and it did not disappoint. I liked how much space there was to sit and a spot to put your drink and food. It's a very relaxed but fill professional vibe here. Easy to come in and get to a seat. You order a drink from QR code from your table and they bring it to you. They also have snacks and NA drinks and no minimum! Ryan got a cider, and I got a soda and we got a pretzel. All reasonably priced as well. The tickets for this event were very decent too. We got to see 4 excellent comedians and we laughed so much the whole night. Great room and crowd and performers! Fun vibes ! Went to the grand opening at the new LoDo location. I generally avoid going downtown but there are two parking lots right next to the club and parking was cheap - $4.50. LOVED the new venue! Very cozy and intimate but not packed in like sardine like some other comedy clubs. Great bar with a wide variety of drink options at very good prices. And of course, free pizza included. read more

As a person who is under the age of 21 I enjoyed it. You don't need to drink for it to be funny. My boyfriend thought it would be a cute date idea to go see the valentines night show. I honestly thought it was gonna be sappy and cringe and I would sit through it for him but I honestly enjoyed it. All the comedians were so funny and I only heard one political Joke. I rarely actually like comedians but the line up was pretty funny. We especially liked Bryan! The free pizza was pretty mid but I don't really think people are going for the free pizza ngl. I enjoyed the jokes we heard from Bryan, John, and Katie and would/already have recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

Cheap tickets, free pizza and beer and great local comedians - what more could you ask for. This was a fun night out and I would encourage everyone to check it out for yourself. We arrived close to when doors opened and had a slight wait to get in. The club is in the basement of a church and if I didn't see the line of people I would have been a bit lost. The doorman gave us our drink ticket and explained where the bar was and told us to choose a table to sit at. We picked out a spot near the middle and set our coats down, then grabbed a drink and some pizza. We were a little sad because it looked like there wasn't much pizza left and we were starving, but after a few minutes, more pizza was brought out and our feast commenced. Pizza was piping hot and several varieties were brought out. The host was hilarious and introduced each act (three total). We hadn't really heard of the headliner, but just picked the show because it was on a night we didn't have any other plans. The place is quite small, so any seat is a good one. They have tables in the front and a few rows of theater seating in the back. The comedians hung around after the show to chat - overall a very chill place. Affordable comedy night! The pizza wasn't Sexy Pizza like others mentioned. It seemed like some standard frozen pizza cut into small pieces. It does the trick for a nosh, but don't expect to be fed a meal. You also get a coupon for one free drink, and they had beer, some canned non-beer alcoholic beverages, and a few NA options. If you want more, you have to pay. On the comedy side - I couldn't help but notice how male-dominated this club seems. They had around 4-5 openers; only one was a woman, and the comedy felt very cishet man-experience centered. There was even a transphobic joke that didn't land well for me. Our experience seemed a little unusual because even the comedian (Ben Roy) we went to see commented on the weird vibes - a group was disruptive, and people kept leaving or getting up in the middle of his set. I won't hold it against the club or the comedian, but I will be curious how it feels next time we try it out. TLDR: an affordable evening of entertainment with a drink/snack; got a few laughs. Will try again, but if the experience is similar, we might not put it into our routine. read more

The new location is a big improvement over the church basement. Plenty of parking and the best comedy deal in town. Ask about the punch cards if you want to visit frequently. The 10 punch card reduces the price per person to $12.50. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

This place is frustrating. The parking was awful, there was only terrible pizza, and the comedy wasn't the worst but definitely wasn't my favorite. Sure, Comedy Works has a two drink minimum, which is what this club advertised about not having. But you can always just get 2 bottles of water at CW. The old location was better. Now they have a bar so you can buy a drink. The menu is on a QR code glued to the little table by your seat. Difficult to scan, so I went without food or drink. I went to see the headliner, as I heard he was good, but the "warm-up" acts were so bad that I left early. I'm no prude, but when every other word is F***, or some variation of it, the humor sounds pretty forced. Also, the opening acts were almost entirely based on bodily sex acts, that gets a little tiresome also. To top off the experience, parking will cost you $4.50. read more

I love comedy shows and appreciate a great venue which to me is meant to be intimate and not some show at a huge venue like the Paramount or Red Rocks where I can barely hear some punchlines. Last night was my first visit to The Underground and I loved it! The club is well run, the staff is great, friendly and very attentive, Also there's not a bad seat in the house and the overall vide is great, parking is cheap and plentiful. Never been to a comedy club before and wow oh wow was this worth the trip. The people running the show were super friendly. They offered free pizza from Sexy Pizza to the first people coming in and a first round of free drinks if you tell them saw their ad in a certain popular online forum. They made everyone feel welcome and settled in. From start to finish, the show was an absolute riot. I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time and it not only made my night, but my week too. You've got to see it for yourself. For $15, it was well worth the money. There was also a pug there, Mochi was his name I think. Bonus points for the pug. read more

Great place for a date night or out with friends. You get an entry ticket and one free drink ticket for only $20! The event lasts 1.5 hours and they have a lot of great openers with a main act. Amusing, but not side splitting funny, comics three-quarters of whom felt the need to focus on juvenile scat and genitalia jokes. "Free" can drink, and truly gross frozen pizza are not the market differentiators they appear to be. I'd much prefer a two drink minimum and to pay for good pizza. But what absolutely ruined the show was how INCREDIBLY HOT is was. There was zero ventilation, and even the comics noted this in their acts. Note, the place has windows, but no one running the operation thought to open any of them. I hope that this review catches someone's attention at the Underground and that they at least open some windows for future shows. If not, bring a towel, come in your beach wear, and bring a battery-operated fan! read more

We were catfished. The pics make it look like an actual comedy club, but when we got there it was a church?! Also, the "free drink" was a choice of a few beers and seltzers, and you couldn't even take them into the show?? And the pizza looked like communion wafers with cheese on them. Started 40 minutes late, over sold the show, refused to refund those who paid more for a table after the show was moved and all seats made ga. The comedians were not good, which isn't on the business, but the mc also used stolen jokes and his own material was terrible. read more
