While the home team may be struggling, the setting of Coors field in downtown Denver can't be beat - the views at sunset are spectacular! Pro tip - if you go to the Silver Bullet Bar, in the 300 section, you can find $3 beers until first pitch. You can get two beers at a time, so keep that in mind as well. The stadium is very clean and well kept as are the bathrooms. The upper deck has plenty of picnic tables and a variety of seating where you can still watch the game on TVs. This was my first time at a game here. We went in July for a Reds V Rockies game and sat on the 1st base side for afternoon shade. Some people in our section were getting irritated with each other ...lots of Reds fans and local people trading barbs. Thankfully, the ushers put a stop to it after a couple innings and things were great afterward. Affordable tickets to the game help ease the pain of concessions. They were very, VERY expensive. A baseball stadium should reveal the soul of its city. Some ballparks scream their identity. On the night of July third, Coors Field gave a mild shrug. I have spent decades traveling from city to city, paying ridiculous sums of money for hot dogs and whatever the local delicacy is in the name of personal research. I am not a terribly difficult customer to please. We walked to Coors from Union Station, which was a lovely, effortless stroll through the city. Any municipality that allows people to easily walk to a ballgame gets immediate points in my ledger. My seat was located exactly one row above the famous line of purple seats. Those purple seats mark precisely one mile above sea level. It is an entirely arbitrary planetary measurement, but it is a pleasant touch. The food was aggressively ordinary. Ballpark food is expensive everywhere, which is a known hazard of the economy, but the local specialties here lacked any real imagination. Nothing on the menu inspired a second thought. There was also a strange bureaucratic wrinkle during my visit. Because of the postgame fireworks, the stadium authorities locked down the entire outfield concourse. Unless you possessed a ticket for an outfield section or the Rockpile, you were forbidden from walking through it. I could see perfectly interesting vendors from a distance, but they were treated like classified property. It is a frustrating way to experience a stadium. The fireworks at the end of the night were loud and bright, but they lacked teeth. I have watched the Independence Day show at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia many times over the years. The Denver display came up drastically short by comparison. Coors Field is cleanish, comfortable, and easy to access on foot. It is a perfectly adequate facility for watching athletes hit a ball with a piece of wood. It simply never breaks out of the middle of the pack. If you are in town, go see a game. Just don't plan your whole trip around it. read more

Stadium 29/30. I LOVED Coors Field. We caught a day game on Sunday vs the Giants. Cheap tickets, cheap parking right down the street. EVERY single person we interacted with was awesome! The vendors, the ushers, everyone! I loved the vibe of the place. They have a designated driver booth where you can get a free soda/water. They have a "First time visitor to Coors Field" booth where you can get a little certificate printed out with your name on it. They have Rocky Mountain Oysters! (I had never had them, and knew I had to try them.) They give you about 6 in an order, with fries. My son had no idea what they were, and mowed down 4 of the 6 before I googled what they were for him lol. He made a weird face, but he really liked them. I thought they were ok. Like a chewy sliced sausage. Wouldn't get them again, but I'm glad I tried them. All concessions were reasonably priced! Got to see a bunch of HRS, and the Rockies came back to win the game on a HR in the 8th. I really enjoyed my time here and it's one of my favorite baseball stadiums I have been to. Take me out to the ball game and don't forget about the popcorn! We took my family to a baseball game and it happens to be on kids day. So the popcorn was only five dollars! We got really great covered seats and the staff was super friendly. One of my family members needs a little extra time walking to the stadium so I definitely think there needs to be a closer drop off for people with accessibility needs. It was a little chaotic to be dropped off across the street and then have the other part of our party go find parking somewhere else. Coors Field was my 30th current ballpark that I needed to visit. I made my visit for a Friday in June while my hometown Pittsburgh Pirates were there. First, everyone is extremely friendly. People in the souvenir shop, ushers, and vendors were all great. I was able to get club seats in 216 on Seat Geek much cheaper than through the box office ($47.00 per ticket) and that was row a. We arrived around 5:00 to go to the rooftop for the $ 3.00 beer promotion which is a nice perk, plus I wanted to walk around to experience the park itself. Even for being 30 years old this is a great place to watch a ballgame. I didn't have any other concessions because we ate prior to the game but if you are around, Coors Field is definitely worth enjoying a ballgame at. Plenty of places to enjoy before/after the game and just an overall good atmosphere. Hopefully the home team's performance improves. read more

I've never been Coors Field so I was happy to have the chance. We happened to be going on the night when all Denver region little league players could walk the field so the stadium was absolutely packed with kids and parents. Before the game it was hard to walk because of the crowd. I was glad we arrived plenty early. Food selection was good and they have the standard vendors in stands selling beverages. I thought the prices were pretty good especially considering it is Denver. The nice thing about this stadium is the number of long balls. Being at higher altitude means the balls fly farther. I say we witness a Rockies inside the park home run! Very unusual. read more

We were in town for spring break and one of the local attractions on our itinerary was to catch a Rockies game at Coors Field. It happens to be their home opening weekend and they were going against the highly touted Philadelphia Phillies. We arrived to Coors Field on a Saturday for an evening game. The stadium is located in a nice area in downtown Denver. Paid parking is accessible along the streets, multiple parking lots, and parking garages all around. There was a jersey hoodie giveaway to the first 20,000 fans so we decided to arrive a little earlier than usual. The jersey hoodie was good quality for a free giveaway. It was a nice touch. We were able to walk around before the game started and see how beautiful the stadium was. It looked like every seat had a great view. As for food we ordered the Tournadough pretzel twister with butter and Parmesan, Rocky Mountain oysters with fries, Rockie Dog, a tall Elysian Space Dust and a couple of Chardonnay wines. Everything was delicious. The Tornadough was a tasty combo of both sweet and salty. It was soft and chewy in a pleasant way. The Rocky Mountain oysters were unique and crispy. I could not tell it was bull testicles. Lol. The Rockie Dog was scrumptious with all the toppings and condiments. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Coors Field. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The game itself was entertaining at times but I wish there could have been more scoring due to the infamous Denver "thin air." We were able to catch the sunset from our seats which was amazing. The price point of all the food and the tickets were more than fair. Don't waste your money here- this should never be a concert venue, pretending it is is a messy, poorly put together money grab. Over 3/4 of the venue can't see anything on stage. Denver is a concert hub, coors field should never be apart of it if they don't have the ability to host it appropriately. Paid for $400 tickets to look at a net, the back of tents, and a blocked stage. sound also is muffled and not very clear. Maybe the nose bleed seats are worth the price so you can see over the net and huge unused space on the field. Getting around anywhere in the walk ways was incredibly difficult and left me feeling like it was a safety issue. Not sure I'd go back for a concert unless you're on the ground directly in front or in nose bleeds, the rest of the seats aren't worth what they cost read more

We were seated at section 146 and had a nice experience. Plenty of good food options. Take sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen if you go during the day and will be in an area not shaded. We luckily got shaded seats that were perfect. Some of the seats are very narrow, even for regular sized people so research the best seats for you. Went to last Fridays baseball game - Rockies vs Pirates and it was such a fun and exciting game. This place is big and has some beautiful views all around. We purposedly bought tickets in section 318 for the sunset views and we were able to watch it as the game went on. We stopped by the team shop and they were unfortunately out of a lot of sizes. We bought some beer, chicken tenders, a hot dog, and some dip n dots and it was all good. The Rockies ended up wining the game - 17 to 16 and everyone went crazy.. Yay! read more

The prices are pretty on par with other MLB stadiums I've been to, but I just wish there were more diverse food options. I highly recommend the berrie kabobs! Make sure you get to the rooftop before the first pitch for $3 beers. It seems like most seats have a great view of the field, and I loved that they mark the mile-high point of the stadium with a row of purple seats. I got a tournado and that was amazing, it's like some dough in a tornado shape that was cooked and then dipped in cinnamon sugar. I would highly recommend getting one if you go to a Rockies game here. The stadium was just a great atmosphere and there was lots of people too! I recommend going to a night game over a day game because it is just more fun to be under the lights. The Rockies did end up winning to Pirates 1-2! GO ROCKIES!!! read more

very nice field. located in Downtown, it's easily accessible by foot from most of the local hotels. plenty of bars around to pregame/postgame at. we came for the Dodgers game on an unusually snowy and freezing April evening. temps dropped below freezing. lots of traditional stadium eateries as well as some eclectic offerings that we didn't have the privilege of trying. had to stick with the classics. we got amazing seats at the bleachers for about a fifth of the price for comparable seats at Dodger stadium. highly recommend. read more

This stadium has some of the best rules I've heard of. You can bring in outside food and an empty water bottle to fill up inside at the water fountain. There isn't a clear bag policy, and you can bring a bag as long as it only has one pocket, so I brought my tote bag. The tickets were so affordable, and I paid about $65 for a pretty good seat, but then I snuck to an even better seat with my friend who was sitting behind the batter box. There were soooooo many more Dodgers than Rockies fans, which was pretty funny to see. The crowd was largely cheering for the Dodgers. I learned that the crowd tends to be bigger for the away team. They had to pause the game due to thunderstorms, which sucked as everyone crowded together to take cover, and it was so difficult to move around that there could've easily been a crowd crush. read more

Oh, who doesn't love to go to a ball game? Also Colorado has one of the nicer stadiums in all of Major league baseball this past year and will be ranked number five so you know that's good. It was opening day weekend and the people I went with were rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies for myself, I had no skin in the game but baseball has always been my favorite sport so I can go to a game anytime. Being opening weekend, the giveaway was free hoodies and when we got there two hours plus before the game, there was already a long line that really moved really quickly once it started going, good job Coors field staff. Like any ballpark you'll have the standard peanuts, popcorn, cracker, jacks and hotdog, etc. etc. and then what I like this day and age you get things that are local to the ballpark area so everyone can have a little something different. By the end of the game, the Phillies came out on top and getting back to our car and back on the freeway was really not that bad at all. Coors Field is very reasonably priced so if you've got nothing to do when you find yourself in Denver this summer definitely come see a game. Surprisingly, they let you bring your own bottled water into the ballpark. The line to enter is short and moves quick. For a Saturday night game, we sat at field level, behind home plate. I like that the staff didn't let people head down the stairs during a pitch, or while the ball was in play. However, they didn't do this where we sat in right field, the following day. Not surprisingly, people were constantly getting up to walk by, without waiting for the pitch or play to be completed. Beyond Burgers aren't overly priced at $10.65 each. A 19.2-ounce can of beer for $17.09 is another story. I also had a pint of Altitude Adjustment IPA from Sandlot Brewery for $13.19, which was average. I like that Coors Field doesn't overdo it with the fan cam, or other screen antics, so I was able to enjoy the game without distraction. read more

This stadium is very nice from the inside and outside. Since it is the beginning of baseball season it was definitely a lot of fans filling the seats up and these fans are so laid back and loyal to their team. Coors Field is a great place for a concert and last night we went to see Paul McCartney. One of the issues I had was with crowd control on the main concourse. There has to be a way to avoid the crush and standstill created mostly by the merch tables. The lines were terrible- even 2 hours before the start of the concert and it was almost impossible to get to the food. That said, there were quite a few staff and they were all helpful and friendly. There were good food options - especially for a stadium. We ended up John Dough Pizza so thats what we got. The pizza was enough for 2 people to share and not bad. They were making the fresh pizzas as we were in line. The restrooms were large with plenty of room and no wait until the concert ended. Our seats were on the field in the front row of the 2nd section. All the field seats were folding chairs with no arms that were zip tied together and they couldn't have been any closer together. I felt like I knew the woman next to me pretty well by the end. If there had been any larger people there would not have been any room at all. I know it's all about making money but a little consideration for the fans comfort would have been nice. The stage had big screens on both sides so everyone could see and the special effects included lasers, fireworks, and for the finale, confetti cannons. The sound system was top notch and the lighting was great. I would have to really, really love the artist to go back for another concert. read more

I didn't have tickets, but I still wandered around Coors Field just to check it out--and honestly, it was worth the stroll. The brick exterior has that old-school ballpark charm, and the views of the mountains peeking through the skyline? Chef's kiss. There were fans pouring in, the smell of hot dogs in the air, and music drifting out from inside. Even without seeing the game, it felt alive. They came out with beef and chicken tacos, beef hotdogs, salads, and we had bartender to craft mixed drinks and cocktails.
